Chapter 11: Training
SORRY, I'M SO SORRY THAT IT TOOK ME SO FREAKINGLY LONG TO UPDATE THIS, THE POWER WENT DOWN IN MY HOUSE AND I DIDN'T GET IT BACK UNTIL TODAY. (DECEMBER 30)
And it even went down again that day before I could place this chapter even if I already had it ready, anyway I won't bore you anymore with my life, on with the chapter.
Disclaimer: I don't know how many times I said this but it should be enough for you to know that I don't own D-Gray Man.
The six were walking towards Komui's office after they were called; it was a silent walk with no one saying a word.
It didn't take long until they got to Komui's office, where Lenalee opened the door just to be received by Komui sleeping in his desk.
"Nii-san". Lenalee said tiredly.
"Is Komui-san okay?" Allen asked but Lavi averted his gaze, and Kanda snorted a 'Che'.
"He tends to sleep in his desk from time to time". Madison ended up answering.
"But he called us not five minutes ago, how quickly can someone fall sleep?" Jason said trying to figure that out.
"Some people fall sleep very quickly didn't you know?" Both Allen and Jason turned their heads towards the source of the voice with an angry expression to see Cross along with all the other generals.
"Well, since everyone is here I should wake the Director up". Reever said, he is a man of average height and build with messy sandy blond hair, he is wearing a dress shirt but with the sleeves rolled up, a waistcoat and tie and casual dress pants, over everything he wears a lab coat. "Oh I think I don't know you two". He said pointing to Allen and Jason.
"I'm Jason Black". Jason introduced himself first.
"Allen Walker". Allen said afterwards.
"Nice to meet you I'm Reever Wenham, I teach chemistry, physics and am the vice principal". He said while shaking hands with both.
While they thought. 'He does a lot of things'. "Nice to meet you too". They said at the same time.
After that Reever went towards Komui leaned in his ear and said. "Lenalee is getting married".
"LENALEE". Was heard the instant after before Komui ran to Lenalee and started to hug her legs like the world will end, and crying to no end, while Lenalee had her head down with a bit of a blush in embarrassment.
"Stop, Nii-san". She said after a while and Komui regain his sanity, if he has any, let go and went back to his desk.
"Why did you say that Reever-san?" Allen asked Reever after the incident.
"That is the only way to wake him up, trust me we tried other ways before but nothing seems to work." Reever answered.
But before anyone else could say something else Komui cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention.
"The reason why I brought you here is simple. after General Cross Marian informed us about the level 4s we decided that there will be training after school so you can fight them equally". Komui said all of this with a deadly serious expression.
"And why are the generals here?" Madison asked.
"Because they will be your instructors". Komui answered but everyone went to look at Allen and Jason when they say at the same time.
"THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I'M GOING TO LET THIS DAMN DRUNKEN BASTARD TRAIN ME AGAIN". Everyone looking at them did an anime drop except for Cross who was glaring at them.
"I'm happy to see your students know you for who you really are". Klaud said while Lau Jimin nodded at Allen and Jason as if telling them they're right.
"W-Well don't worry all of you will be trained by a different general since there wouldn't be any point at training with the same one again". Komui said trying to calm the mood and both Allen and Jason let out a sigh of relief.
"What's with the sigh Moyashi, I don't think he is really that bad". Kanda said with a mockery tone.
"Then why don't you try and train with him BaKanda". Allen answered.
"There is actually a list of who will be with whom". Reever intervened while holding a clipboard with everyone is assigned general. "First, Lavi and Bookman will be with General Tiedoll".
"The old panda is participating in this?" Lavi asked but before anyone could answer Bookman appeared out of nowhere and kicked him in the head.
"I told you not to call me that Lavi". Bookman said before returning to his neutral expression.
"Jiji that hurts". Lavi complained before standing up again.
"Moving on". Reever said. "Kanda will be with General Socaro, Allen and Jason will be with General Yeegar, Madison will be with General Klaud and Lenalee with General Cross". Cross smirked after hearing that while Allen and Jason widen their eyes and Komui then say.
"There is something wrong with that list; my Lenalee can't be trained by him!" All of this while pointing to Cross.
"I agree with Komui-san you can't let him have time alone with her!" Allen supported Komui.
"I also agree with them". Jason said after Allen.
"Well the list has been set unless one of you stupid students will like to take her place". Cross said this with a mockery grin.
Both froze after hearing that before starting to think something that was shown because both closed their eyes and crossed their arms while making a 'hmmm' as if they're trying to decide, a bit later both kneeled while holding their heads then to look at the ceiling and finally Allen said.
"Ok, I'll take her place". Although with tears running from his eyes.
"Heh, are you sure?" Cross amusedly asked.
"Hai". Allen said with his head down.
"Sorry Allen but you are alone this time". Jason said while taking a step away from Cross.
"Wait there is no point on train with the same general". Reever said remembering everyone what was said before saying the assigned generals for each exorcist.
"Don't worry; I still have a lot to teach to those two, although I guess it will be just you for now". Cross answered although he was looking at Allen and had a somewhat strange smirk, while Allen started to have second thoughts about this.
"O-okay then". Reever said after that.
"Anyway the training will take place after school on the mountains, you can go". Komui finished and everyone walked to class since the break finished while they were on Komui is office.
"Are you okay Allen?" Jason asked while he, Allen, Madison and Lenalee walked towards the classroom, but he didn't get any answer since Allen just kept walking with a defeated expression. "Maybe you shouldn't have offered".
"You know Cross Shishō can't be left alone with women". Allen answered finally.
"But even so you're gonna have to put up with him for this whole training". Jason contradicted.
"-Heavy sigh- I'll have to manage". Allen said lastly.
At the same time with Lenalee and Madison.
"Do you think General Cross is really as bad as Allen-kun and Jason say he is?" Lenalee asked Madison.
"I don't know". Madison answered simply.
"Why do you think Allen-kun offered to go in my place?" Lenalee asked then.
"He said General Cross can't be trusted to spend time alone with women, so I guess he didn't want you to be with him". She answered.
"I guess you're right". Not long after that they got to the classroom.
The rest of the day went by without problems and when it was time to go everyone went to a bus that will take them to the mountains for the training to start.
In the mountains.
"Welcome everyone". Komui said when everybody arrived. "This first day there won't be any kind of training, but there will be a sparring match to determine your general strength". Komui made a pause before continuing. "It will be an all-out battle with no partners and you can't form alliances to beat the others". Komui took air and then almost yell. "Begin!"
Everyone looked a bit weird at Komui until they understood and they all activated their respective Innocence.
First Bookman threw a bunch of needles towards everyone but no one had too much of a problem with that they either dodge them or blocked them somehow.
"Hi ban". Lavi said sending a fire snake towards his master that created a platform with needles to avoid it.
"You should watch your back". Jason said from behind Lavi before moving his axe to try and hit him but Lavi was just fast enough to place his hammer in the middle but Jason made a wide grin before Lavi felt his whole body become heavier, and then Jason made one push after activating his Innocence to force him back.
"That was a good advice". A voice said from behind Jason who instantly turned around to see a bunch of ice flying towards him. "Maybe you should follow it". Madison said before sending more ice towards him.
Meanwhile Allen and Kanda had started to fight each other almost the second they dodged Bookman's first needles. Allen already had his sword in hand while Kanda had activated the Nigentou.
"Ready, Moyashi?" Kanda asked preparing his swords to attack.
"Always, BaKanda". Allen answered, also preparing before they both quickly lunged towards the other. Allen's sword clashed with both of Kanda's, before they started to quickly exchange blows; each trying to hit the other, but neither gave the other the chance to connect, they kept at it for a while until a tornado was sent in their direction making both stop the exchange and jump away to avoid the attack.
"This isn't a one-on-one battle, remember?" Lenalee asked before moving with her dark boots' speed above the two and then rocketing towards Allen who barely was able to place his sword in the middle, but he was still sent a bit backwards before Lenalee stopped her attack on Allen and repeat the same on Kanda who placed one sword in the middle while he used the other to try and hit her, Lenalee avoid Kanda's attack by jumping a bit up, but then Allen appeared above her quickly falling with his sword ready to strike. Lenalee was barely able to place one of her dark boots in the middle of the attack but the impact made an explosion that forced them both back to the ground although they managed to land without further damage.
"You're really strong Lenalee". Allen said while preparing to keep fighting but this time making sure no one else was gonna hit him by surprise.
Lenalee didn't respond she just stood up again and prepared to keep fighting.
Everyone kept fighting for a while Allen, Lenalee and Kanda joining the others after a few more minutes of exchanging blows between them that caused them to end up near them.
The fight had kept going for almost an hour when Cross said. "Let's see how much my student improved". And started to make hand signs while saying some strange words.
Allen heard one of the words and looked at Cross who was already in the last symbol before widen his eyes in horror and then yell. "STOP SHISHŌ". But he already said the last word. The next second Allen is Innocence deactivated before he started to hold his head while screaming.
Everyone stopped the fight to see what was happening but all of them looked in horror how Allen's skin started to change color at the same time the stigmata appeared in his forehead.
'Damn you Shishō how could you release the seal here?'. Allen thought while trying his best to keep the Fourteenth in control but he wasn't having any success. 'Damn it I need to make him go back'. Then an idea flashed through his mind, he stopped holding his head and somehow managed to reactivate his sword to then stab himself with it but the sword stop before it could touch him.
'Ah, ah, ah'. Allen heard the Fourteenth is voice in his head. 'You're not gonna take me away that easily'.
'Damn it'. Allen thought while he kept trying to move his sword but to no avail his hand was starting to retract when Jason hit the hilt of Allen is sword with the flat side of Damnation helping him to get the Fourteenth away. 'Come on'. Allen made as most force as he could to stab himself while helped by Jason who started to use his Innocence is power to force the gravity to push the sword after a few more moments the Fourteenth gave in and let the sword pass.
Allen screamed again when he felt the sword been used on the Noah inside him but managed to calm down after a while at the same time his Noah features disappeared.
"Are you okay?". Jason asked while trying to catch his breath the same as Allen.
"Kind of, I owe you one big time". Allen answered.
"I guess you still can't control him". Cross said gaining everyone is attention before making more seals. "There the seal is back on place". Cross said calmly when he finished but then raised a hand to block the punch that Allen tried to give him after deactivating his Innocence.
"DAMN YOU SHISHŌ HOW COULD YOU RELEASE THE SEAL HERE?" Allen yelled while vividly glaring at him.
"I wanted to see if you have more control on him now, I guess I was wrong". Cross answered not seeming alarmed at all.
Allen glared at him a bit more before relaxing and when Cross let go of his hand he said with his head down. "I'm going home". And started to walk back.
Everyone stood there for a moment before Komui said. "Ok this will be all for today we'll come back tomorrow so the real training begins". And with that everyone went back to their homes.

Again sorry it took me this long but as I said before my power went down and I just got it back today really late (where I am is late I don't know about you).
Well I hope you liked it and a heads up I'm going to a mini vacation for two days starting tomorrow and where I'm going there isn't any internet connection so I won't be able to update those days.
