Diary Continued

At the medical ward at the SMART Agency, Chaos and Harmony received treatment to fix their corruption and to regenerate their codes however both were placed under arrest for the attack against google and placed in an isolated ward.

The group and Kevin were relaxing in the lobby when KC came out.

Kevin looked at his program "how they doing KC?"

KC looked at his creator "their codes are regenerated so that the corruption is fixed and their energy levels are recovering." He stated "Harmony should be reactivated in about five minutes while Chaos will need a few more hours before he is recovered." He exhaled "I've started the paperwork to make their arrest official and we should be able to transport them to the prison ward tomorrow." He finished as if he didn't exactly want to have them arrested.

Aelita picked up on his hesitation "how long are you going to keep them?" She asked

KC hummed in thought "normally the crime calls for at least two weeks of lock up and about five to six months of being restricted from Google and a black hat mark being put on their profiles so that they can be monitored. However I can't shake the feeling that this attack was a cry for help especially from Harmony's letter."

Aelita gave a nod "I agree and we also didn't see two other known members, a male warrior named Jeffery and a female warrior named Takara."

KC hummed "yes I do find it strange at least those two didn't show up at all."

A beep was heard "Agent KC, Patient Harmony has reactivated herself. She's begging to be freed." Dr. Micro reported

KC hummed "I'll be right there Doc." He looked at Aelita "Aelita could you please accompany me to meet with her. I have the feeling you and her can talk female to female."

Aelita hummed as she nodded.

Both went into the medical ward and stood just outside a hospital room with several barriers in place

Harmony looked at Agent KC and gasped "Agent KC, please you got to let me go."

KC shook his head "I can't Harmony," He stated "you have been arrested and charged with serious hacking crimes."

Harmony moaned in worry "please if you don't let me go, they'll die."

"Who?" Aelita asked

Harmony looked at Aelita "the rest of my group the Lyokoians, we have 46 members who are in coma like states, their core programs are barely being maintained by regeneration and even then I can't leave them alone for long because they could take a turn for the worse as they are also corrupted by the same thing I am." She had tears coming out of her eyes."

KC looked away from her so that his human side could not be seen "I'm sorry," He stated calmly "I cannot authorize your release."

"Then I've failed them…" Harmony moaned "I've failed them all." She slumped down "I failed my mission." She muttered as tears started to leak out of her eyes

"Where is your group's base?" Aelita suddenly asked

KC looked at Aelita

Harmony looked at Aelita "Why do you want to know?" She asked

Aelita said "even though you can't be released there is nothing stating that the Lyoko Warriors can't try to help them. I happen to be able to heal people."

Harmony hummed as she shook her head "there is nothing you can do. Even the highest level of healing power doesn't fix the corruption."

"it's because it's not healing they need it's purification." A male doctor like voice stated

Agent KC looked as a doctor program came into the room. "What do you think Doctor Micro send a few teams over with medics get them stable and then transmit them to here?"

"that would be the most humane way." Doctor Micro replied "however since we actually don't know where the base is or how much security they have. It may take time to get to the people and who is to say the teams won't run into resistance. Wasn't there two people unaccounted for that are known? It's a very risky mission."

"I can disable the security." Harmony stated "and get Jeffery to obey but that's leave Takara. I'm not sure what's going on with her."

KC looked at her "What do you mean."

"Ever since Jeffery came back from Lyoko," Harmony explained "Takara's been going out somewhere and when she comes back, she seems different."

"Different?" Aelita echoed

"I don't know how to explain it but one time she came back when I was taking care of those in comatose, she just stared in wonder then made a comment on why I was so focused on healing them when I knew it was pointless. I asked her if she cared about what happened to our friends and the way she responded was that she didn't care and that useless people are nothing but extra baggage but the next time I saw her she didn't even remember saying that." Harmony clarified

Aelita blinked in shock "how could someone say that and how can they say it then forget they said it?"

"Simple," KC spoke up "it's because the memories are being encoded into two different file types." KC stated as if he knew of the effect then looked at Harmony "from your statement Harmony it sounds like darkness is taking deep root in Takara. Takara is forgetting things of light while in darkness while be unable to recall events that happened while she was in darkness."

Aelita looked at KC "How does that work?" She asked

"A soul is both of light and darkness when either one gets a stronger hold on the core it starts creating memories that only that side can read." KC explained "With light, memories of love, hope, and other positive things become readable and remembered and the incidents that bought pain, sadness and other negative things become unreadable or forgotten but the reverse also happens when one is in darkness, the negative things are able to be recalled and the light is forgotten. Often times the switch between the two is so quick and simple that both type memories can be recalled without a problem but when one side gets too heavily rooted then well we have big problems as you are basically only able to recall one side or the other and often times it's stays that way. The notable switching effect is a step before that when the two souls are clashing for dominance."

Aelita moaned in shock "can anything be done to reset the soul."

KC sighed "not from outside forces unless you really put all your effort into that side and use it and even then it would have some negative effects especially if the target resists which is natural. Often times it takes one own self to be able to correct the balance and if Takara really that far gone, it's even riskier."

Harmony gasped slightly "if Takara is really that far gone, she may do something to the others…" She looked at KC with pleading eyes "Please you got to help them."

Aelita hummed "Yes we need to help the Lyokoians that are in danger"

KC gave Aelita a glance "You guys up for another mission?"

Aelita nodded "I would have to talk to the group but I am"

KC gave a light grunt "I have to talk with boss as well." He stated "If I release the lock on Harmony's functions she may attempt to escape."

"Agent KC," Harmony stated "I swear to you help me get the others restored and I will serve my time right after even more time if required."

KC hummed as he nodded as if he was willing to consider the idea "I'll see what I can do." He walked away

Aelita looked at Harmony "I help in anyway I can Harmony, its sounds like your group is in trouble."

Harmony hummed as she turned solemn "I'm sorry for all the trouble we've caused…"

Aelita gave her a compassionate look "there is still time to correct those mistakes." She stated "We just have to believe in the best of each other." She put her right hand on the barrier as if she was holding her hand out to Harmony

Harmony hummed and pressed her hand against the barrier to match Aelita's "Yes, we have to."

After talking with both the group and the boss. It was agreed for a mission into the Lyokoian base to try and aid the comatose Lyokoians. KC was in charge and took point with Aelita and Harmony clearing it. The others lead by me escorted the medics into the base making sure that no surprise attacks or traps activated. As the group went deeper the base was surprising quiet but we followed Agent KC's orders

KC took a stance near a secure door checked things and signaled to Harmony.

"This should be the last area." Harmony stated then inputted a code and the door opened

A rifle shot sound was heard inside the room causing Harmony to gasp

KC grunted "Hold position Warriors, we got a hot area."

"Copy that Agent KC." Jeremy stated "Do you need assistance."

"Negative but keep your guard up." He looked at Harmony "Defense shields please."

Harmony hummed "Armor of Light halt physical might." She chanted

Defense Barriers surged around the trio.

KC signaled to the two girls for them to follow him and all three advanced into the area as they got closer more shots and clangs of swords were heard there was fighting going on.

"Stop it Takara." A male voice was heard "you can't do this. You can't just destroy the others."

"That's Jeffrey." Harmony muttered

"Watch me," A woman with a dark tone to her voice stated "you and the others should have all slept forever letting me be free of you but instead you had to wake up. I won't let loose ends ruin my master's plans."

Harmony hummed "and that's sounds like Miss Takara but…"

"She's gone bad." KC muttered "alright you two run ahead and help Jeffrey it sounds like the two are fighting. I'll be right behind you with firepower in case Takara is out of control."

Aelita hummed "Harmony you heal I'll defend." She charged an energy field shot

Harmony nodded and both girls ran forward until they got to a room where Takara was about to strike down Jeffrey who was on his backside

"Miss Takara." Harmony called

Jeffrey grunted "Harmony run."

Takara hummed as she pointed her gunblade at Harmony "No stay and die!" She shouted

"Energy Field!" Aelita shouted as she shot her orb

Takara swung her sword with energy and blocked the orb with a gunshot sound "So the little princess is here as well." She looked at Harmony "I take it you went to their side abandoning your brother."

Harmony hummed "no… I fought alongside my brother but we were defeated by the Lyoko Warriors."

"Pathetic. You are useless." Takara growled

"She is not." Aelita shouted "She's just been hurt like the rest of you. We've come to help"

Jeffrey grunted in surprise "help?"

Takara growled "No one is going to help them." She charged up "They'll all going to..."

A powerful sniper rifle round was shot and fired nailing Takara and blowing her away from Jeffrey and to the ground as paralyzing energy surged around her

Both girls looked and with a laser sight and zoom lens over his left eye and his left arm transformed into a sniper rifle was KC. He walked forward like a robot with his rifle trained on Takara. "Die? Not today Takara."

Takara growled as the energy continued to surge around her "Agent KC… so you bought the agency with you…" She growled

Jeffrey grunted "Intruders!" He went to charge up for an attack

Harmony gasped "Jeffrey stop," She commanded "the Agency here to help us stand down"

Jeffrey looked at Harmony then at Aelita "Aelita?"

Aelita hummed as she nodded

Jeffrey exhaled stopped charging

KC hummed "Harmony go…" He stated "I've got Takara covered."

Harmony hummed as she ran over and started healing him. "What happened Jeffrey?"

Jeffrey looked at Takara "I don't know, all I know is that when Google came back online, Takara just went insane. She went for the others but I resisted and beat her back out of the medical room and locked it behind me and well we've been fighting ever since

Takara growled as the energy released her but she stayed down knowing that Agent KC could easily shoot her again "you should just kill them all Agent. They're supposed to be dead."

KC kept a straight face "does that include you too Takara?" He asked

Takara hissed "no I've been dead, I just didn't realize it until now. Now I am alive and if I want to stay alive I have to destroy anyone who is a threat to the one who gave me life."

KC stared at her "and just who is that?" He asked

Takara grinned "oh please Agent, you know, XANA, the big bad, the guy who tried who attacked the real world through Lyoko. You should stop him while you have the chance

KC's mouth twitched as if he was stopping himself from smirking "actually I know who the big bad is." He stated "It's Carthage of Project Carthage isn't it and that's your master."

Takara grunted as she lost her knowledge advantage "how did you."

KC allowed a smirk to be seen "I received a few hints from people and did some research." He stated then stared at Takara "He's back in play isn't he?"

Takara just stared for a moment then her eyes took a distant look then turned focused with a reddish glint as she stood up somehow now unafraid of Agent KC "So you know I exist do you Agent KC." Takara stated in an altered voice. It seemed someone was using her as a remote vessel.

Harmony gasped "It can't be…"

KC smirked knowing who he was now talking to "Indeed I do Carthage," He stated identifying the voice "Nice job pinning everything on XANA. You had us going."

Jeffrey grunted "How, XANA said he was destroyed,"

Takara/Carthage smirked "I didn't exactly pin it on XANA but it is because of him and what you all did for him that I am now as you put it in play." She looked at Jeffrey "or as many others would say I'm back with a vengeance."

Jeffrey held up his saber in a fear filled position. "I won't go back under your command!" He shouted

Takara/Carthage laughed at his fear "who wants traitors on their team." She looked at Aelita who was just staring "I sure wouldn't." She laughed "Your Father was a fool to go against me Aelita and he paid for it."

"Leave her alone." Jeffrey shouted as he came at Takara with his saber raised

"Jeffrey no!" Harmony stated

Takara charged up and shot out a burst of dark energy nailing Jeffrey and sending him flying and his saber was disarmed and slid next to him

"Jeffrey!" Harmony shouted as she ran over to him

Jeffrey grunted as he recovered slightly "I'm glad I have that healing combo." He muttered "uh Agent, you got to stop him. Carthage is evil, pure evil."

KC hummed "I know but Takara only a remote vessel." He took aim "Let her go Carthage."

Carthage chuckled "but she's a willing vessel at least when she remembered who her master was." He laughed "there is nothing you can do for her now she's with me. She'll be a much better servant then that brat XANA created. He has far too much free will."

KC smirked "cutting connections that are proving to be too uncontrollable Carthage, gee that's going to bite you later."

"Not if I permanently take care of them…" Carthage muttered "but that's for another day and another fight. For now I'll bide my time and recover my strength but mark my words Agent KC, you will know when I am back for I will destroy everything starting with your creator's precious real world and there is nothing you two can do about it."

KC smirked "we're not the only guys you have to be afraid of Carthage, there are many others who will raise up their weapons in defiance of you and while we may not even lead the charge this round knowing there are others already being setup to take you out permanently. We will help them."

Carthage laughed "I was destroyed twice but I came back both times what makes you think destroying me again will do you any good. The darkness will reign."

"Not as long as there is light to counter it." Aelita, KC and Jeffrey shouted

Carthage scoffed "I will destroy that light, I will be victorious. You will see." A dark surge occurred as a portal opened underneath Takara and she vanished into it.

Aelita let out a sigh of relief

KC hummed and clicked his wrist "Agent KC to Boss, you get all that."

"We did Agent continue your mission."

"Copy that." He looked at Jeffrey "you surrendering Jeffrey?"

"uh... um…" He looked at Harmony "uh Harmony, where's Chaos."

Harmony sighed "in Agency custody but they sent us both to a medical ward to heal us. I'm no longer affected by my condition. I'm fully healed"

Jeffrey moaned in amazement "can they heal me too?"

Harmony hummed as she nodded "all you got to do is surrender."

Jeffrey nodded "I give up, white flag,"

Harmony hummed and tapped the panel lock on the door and unlocked it "access is granted to medical ward Agent KC."

KC hummed as he looked in, checked to see if things were clear and nodded then clicked his radio "Lyokoian Base Secure, all teams advance to my location.

The other warriors came in followed by the medics.

Harmony hummed as she made reference to the medical room "They are in there please help them."

The medics advanced into the room while one stayed behind and started examining Jeffrey "Viral type corruption detected requires purification, and regeneration" The medic stated "you'll need to come to the medical ward for treatment as soon as possible"

Jeffrey hummed as he nodded "I'll go with the others." He stated

"very well." The medic replied

Jeremy looked at Aelita "Aelita we heard everything are you alright?"

Aelita hummed "I will be…" She sighed "All we did Jeremy was it all for nothing."

Jeremy exhaled "it does seem like that our XANA was only a fraction of the problem and that destroying him only delayed things."

Odd went up to her "but we now have more people on our side Aelita, it's not just us anymore."

"We've got friends on the Internet, The Agency, and others who are wanting to help." Kat stated then looked at Harmony and Jeffrey "even those who seem to be our enemy at first."

Harmony hummed as she nodded "I don't know how to thank you all."

Yumi hummed "don't thank us yet, we still got a lot more to do."

Liz hummed as she nodded "There are people on the Internet who are still under XANA's…" She hummed "or is it Carthage we're going against."

KC hummed "Carthage is using XANA as a puppet so in the end it is Carthage who has control of the Internet."

Ulrich scoffed "Well whoever we're against, I'm in this all the way. We're going to purify those sites and free the Internet from this evil and return it to how it was. Right"

The group nodded "Right." They replied in agreement

"Agent KC, is there an archive of backup data for these people?" A medic called "some of the damage is quite extensive and we'll need it for regeneration."

Harmony gasped lightly "there should be a backup in the archives for the site." She looked at KC

"Go." KC stated

Harmony ran into the medical room "I'll find it." She called

Jeffrey turned attentive "I'll help look too." He followed Harmony

Jeremy hummed and gave a curious glance "Is there anything else we can do Agent KC?"

Agent KC got thoughtful "if you guys don't mind paperwork," He muttered "I could use some help compiling reports and other things."

Odd laughed nervously "I just remembered it's dinnertime. Log…"

"Wait!" Kat exclaimed "Odd if you logout you'll not go back to Lyoko remember our connection cut out so we switched it over to Kevin's network in California."

Odd paused "oh uh can we get that taken care of."

Agent KC smirked "I'll trade it for some aid on paperwork." He offered

Odd groaned as his stomach rumbled "but I'm hungry, I helped save Google doesn't that count for anything?" He whined which earned laughter from the group.

Agent KC chuckled "relax there's plenty of food and drinks in our lounge. You guys can eat, help me on these reports and we'll get you back to school before curfew deal?"

"Deal," Odd stated "if you got crabcakes with tartar sauce." Odd added

Agent KC smirked "We'll have them."
