ALT-FLAG 10: Almost Easy

"Zeruel 01 to all units, report."

"Zeruel 02, on standby at stairs area, fourth floor."

"Zeruel 04, just right behind Zeruel 02 at third."

"Zeruel 06, approaching target location requesti-"

*KZZHT*

"Zeruel 06?"

Zeruel 01, leader of the second contingent of New Devils assigned to the building kept on tapping her communication device. After about ten taps though, she gave up and contacted the rest.

"All remaining units of Zeruel Squadron, be advised. Target location seems to be heavily fortified and guarded. Eliminate any resistance then proceed to primary objective."

Zeruel 04 meanwhile was monitoring for signs of life inside the target area. "04 here, Primary target still inside area. No sign of activity so far."

"Something's amiss. Operative Lune informed us before that the target will not be able to pose a threat once we approach her," 01 uttered. "Who the hell is guarding her?"

Suddenly, 02 reported in. "02 here, tracking movement on fourth floor area. Seems to be using some kind of cloak."

"As in like the Hagoromos?"

"Yes, ma'am. Permission to pursue target."

"Negative," replied 01. "The enemy may have rigged the entire floor with booby traps. Maintain observation status; I'll contact HQ about this."

Meanwhile, back with Suzaku...

"Man, those Public Safety dames seem to be quite the real deal. But with that kind of performance..."

He checked his ammo and realized that he's on his last mag. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me..."

Just then, he caught sight of a colossal Weiss approaching the school library. Curious, he brought out his binoculars and zoomed in at the library premises; he then noticed a familiar face.

"Wait, what's Shiomiya still doing in there? I thought they already closed the library for the day," he said. "And she has Katsuragi with him? I just hope Sylvia isn't hurt.."

He quickly viewed the other windows of the library building if there are others with them. "Hmmn... Kujo and Takahara are with them, too? I hope they're ready for that Weiss closing in on them..."

He then heard one of his flashbangs go off from the far corridor of the 4th floor. "I better get back to the room adjacent the one where 'Juno' is. I regret putting sleeping pills on her drink though, but it's necessary."

"02 here, spotted hostile near window area. Any orders, 01?" was the words that blared through Zeruel 04's communicator. The same was apparently crushed under Sylvia's heels, as she finally got inside the school building through the third-floor fire exit.

"Geese. Lune must be really serious to send in a squadron from the Public Safety Department here," she said while tracking Suzaku through her Hagoromo. "I just hope that's the last of them."

She then turned her attention to the giant Weiss near the Library Building, which as of this moment has just wrecked a portion thereof. She then spotted three winged figures at the opening of said damaged area.

"The Goddesses must have taken over their hosts' bodies. But from the looks of things they're not yet in the shape to take out that behemoth," she uttered.

Suddenly, a vehicle careened through the gap between the Weiss's legs and did a 180 turn towards the opening. Upon stopping, the three Goddess hosts boarded it along with an unconscious figure who looked like the God of Conquest.

"That vehicle must be that back-up Suza-kun called in. Quite an impeccable preference in timing, I must say..."

Just then a shot landed mere centimeters from her left, breaking the glass window. "Hey, you! What are you doing here?"

"Oh, great, PSD mooks... Guess I have no choice..." Sylvia then rested her Scythe on the corner of the hallway, brought out her wakizashi with its scabbard still on, and charged towards her opponent.

Suzaku, meanwhile was having more trouble than he can handle, as he's receiving suppression fire from Zeruel Squadron's leader. "Mag's apparently empty..."

About a minute after emptying his M14's clip, the firing stopped. "You there behind that pile of chairs and tables!" said 01. "Drop your weapon and come out with your hands up!"

Knowing that he cannot go up against a member of the PSD, he arose from his hiding spot. "Okay, ma'am. You got me."

01 then ordered Suzaku to move in front of his barricade. "Who sent you, human?" asked the squadron leader.

"Don't I get to exercise my Miranda rights here, lady?" he jested, prompting 01 to slap him on the face.

"Your lolly-gagging has caused New Hell quite enough, human! I suggest you lead me to that girl you are protecting inside one of the rooms."

"Why the urgency to reach a civilian, then? Clearly you, or at least your superiors for that matter, do not wish to keep witnesses alive, am I right?"

Suzaku earns another slap to the face. "Wow. For devils who have been trained to preserve the order in New Hell, you still slap like a weakling..."

"You INSOLENT JERK!"

Just before she could land the killing blow though, she receives a hard one on the back of her head, apparently knocking her out.

"About time, Sylvia..."

"My apologies, Suza-kun. Lune-neesan's right-hand was a bit of a chore to take care of than expected."

"And that's why you're riddled with scratches and bruises on your limbs?" he wryly asked.

"Well, worse things have happened anyway. How's Juno?"

"Sound asleep in one of the rooms; she'll be fine..."

"Let me guess, sleeping pills again?" Suzaku grinned in response.

Just as the two were in the middle of their snark fest, 01 rose up and sat on the floor. "Okay, where's Operative Lune?" Sylvia asked while pointing her sheathed wakizahi on the enemy.

"Hell if I know anyway, wretch!"

She got a slap on the shoulder for her troubles. "Not cooperating, eh?" Sylvia jested while she slowly drew out her blade. This apparently scared the living daylights out of the PSD squadron leader.

"Okay, okay! She's down at that wooden ship off the shore; says she will be dealing with the Goddesses herself."

"I see... But what of her intentions for the girl inside the room, huh? Why is she after her?"

"No idea, honestly. All I know for sure is that the colossal Weiss over there was supposed to be our backup, before it diverted for the Library."

"That thing may have detected the three Goddess hosts there, and only stopped once Shoutarou-sama arrived to pick them up," Suzaku commented. "In that case, it needs to be eliminated before it can cause more damage."

"Wait, you mean to say that the vehicle which careened into the library's opening was that of "Old Bishie Shiratori?" Sylvia inquired.

"Uh... yeah. Apparently he was one of the very few people with the resources to pull this off. And he knew of the circumstances already, so I had to contact him for this..." Suzaku answered, prompting his demon buddy to facepalm.

"Seriously, Suza-kun... you need to lay off with the favors from him."

While they were discussing the escape of the Goddess Hosts, the captured PSD operative suddenly laughed. "Hahaha! You two, against a Weiss that big? Only those Jupiter Sisters could pierce through that behemoth; you nitwits don't stand a chance!"

She then got a knockout punch for her jesting, and two pairs of cuffs to restrain her movement. "That'll keep you down for a while, ingrate," responded Sylvia, as Suzaku kept close tabs on the colossal Weiss nearby, which is now approaching the building they are in...

"You still have enough energy within you, Sylvia?"

"Well... I did spend quite a hefty amount from my fight with Gira, but I still have some in reserve. You planning on using that?"

"The Columna Lucia pattern... It's the only thing we could use at this rate..."

"Well, whatever you say. Hand me your rifle..."
