That evening, Blake was the first to arrive at Christine's hospital room. As she stood at the door quietly watching, she saw Rossi sitting on the bed next to Christine. Each was holding a baby, and they were softly talking. Blake watched as Rossi leaned over and gave Christine a kiss. She couldn't help but think of her husband, and she wondered –
A clatter echoed down the hallway, heralding the arrival of the rest of the team. Leading the way was a now pregnant-looking Penelope Garcia-Morgan, trailing a colorful bunch of balloons. It didn't take long before everyone was gathered in Christine's room talking and admiring the two babies.
Suddenly, Rossi cleared his throat, getting their attention. "There are some things that I need to say, and I guess now is as good a time as any to say them," he began. "First off, I would like all of you to know that, on New Years' Eve Day, after Morgan and Garcia's wedding, Christine and I went to Maryland and got married."
"Oh My Gosh!" Garcia thought she should speak up first.
Hotch and Reid just stared at him, stunned.
"You married her?" Hotch demanded.
"W – W - Why? How come? What happened?" Reid stammered.
"Well, for a starter, did either of you lotharios ever bother to tell her you love her?" Rossi demanded. "I do, and I did!"
"I needed to tell her? I didn't think I – " Reid trailed off.
"For your information," Rossi told him. "Ladies like to be told they are loved and appreciated. And, I would strongly recommend that you take the time to tell that lovely redheaded lady who has been hanging around you lately exactly how you feel about her!"
He smiled at his wife. "I have been a fool," he announced to the room at large. "For years I have been running all over the place looking for love, and then one day I looked up and realized that it was standing right next to me!"
"Good for you!" Blake cheered. "Congratulations!"
"Yeah, Man, Congratulations!" Morgan moved to shake the older man's hand.
"Best of luck!" JJ added, smiling.
Rossi smiled as he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a ring box. He flipped open the top, revealing a ring containing several carets worth of diamonds.
"Dave, I told you something simple!" Christine protested.
"This is simple, Bella – It is simply a lot of diamonds," Rossi told her. "I know you can't wear it now with your fingers all swollen, but wait a week or so. It is going to look gorgeous on you!"
Christine just shook her head and smiled.
"Now," it was Christine's turn to speak up. "May I have everyone's attention?" She handed Garcia a large manila envelope.
"Two weeks ago," she said. "While you were all out of town, Penelope took me for a doctor's appointment. After discussing it with the doctor, I decided to get the needle biopsies done for the DNA testing. There didn't seem to be any sense In delaying it further, and the chances of miscarriage or premature labor weren't high. The results are in that envelope." She pointed.
"Penelope, if you will do the honors?"
Garcia looked around and then began carefully opening the envelope. "I will have you know," she said. "It took all of my willpower to keep from hacking into the lab's computer to see these results."
"Good for you!" Morgan congratulated his wife.
Garcia pulled out some papers and, with Morgan looking over her shoulder, began reading. She pointed at an item on the top sheet, looked up at him, and they shared a smile and a kiss.
"Christine, I don't know how you did it," she began. "But, Hotch, it seems you are the proud father of a baby girl!"
"I have a daughter!" Hotch repeated in amazement, as a grin engulfed his face.
"And, Reid, Man," Morgan continued the announcement. "You have another son!"
Reid looked at the baby boy as it lay snuggled in Christine's arms. "He's mine?" he questioned.
"Do you want to hold your son?" Christine suggested as she held him up for Reid to take.
"And, Aaron," Rossi reluctantly handed the young lady over.
"Of course, you've got names picked out," Blake assumed. "What are they?"
Hotch smiled down at his newborn daughter as she lay in his arms. "Oh, yes," he assured the group. "This young lady is being named Christine, after her mother, and Lynn, after my mother, her grandmother."
"Reid?" Morgan prompted.
"I had a problem," Reid began. "The names I would have chosen were already given to my first two children. Also, I had to come up with two girls names and two boys names, and then I had to get them approved by Christine and – "
"Reid!" Blake called to get his attention.
"Okay," Reid smiled at his son. "His first name is Geoffrey, after one of my mother's favorite authors, and his second name is after the one person who has always had my back – Always – Morgan."
"Geoffrey Morgan and Christine Lynn!" Garcia exclaimed. "What great names!"
"Hotch, you are so lucky," JJ told him as she looked over his shoulder at the baby girl. "As much as I love Henry, I've always wanted a daughter."
"Well, Aaron, are you going to ask her?" Christine demanded. "Or, do I have to do it for you?"
"What?" Hotch looked puzzled.
"Aaron, for as long as I have known you and JJ, the two of you have been dancing around each other," she replied. "Why don't you just break down and ask her to marry you?"
"JJ?" Hotch looked at the blond agent. "You – and – Me?"
"Aaron, do you need to ask?" JJ replied. "It took me a long time, and I ended up dating every man who came along, but I finally realized it is you I love. But, I never thought you would love me back."
"Will you - Marry me - Please?" Hotch asked her.
"And, Spencer," Christine fixed him with a 'look'. "You know you have been crazy about Phillipa since the day the two of you first met. Eleanor told me so, and I have seen it myself. She is a smart, intelligent woman, and she is crazy about the twins. Also, while we were being held captive in –" She paused, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. "In George Wyatt's barn," she forced the words out. "She told me she dreamed of someday having a house full of kids. You've got a good start on that and you're a wonderful father. Don't make me talk to her for you!"
"Hey, Pretty Boy," Morgan had a wicked grin on his face. "If you and Hotch both get to work right away, in a couple of years we will be able to field the best-looking Pee Wee soccer team in the city. And, with JJ and Rossi both coaching them, we will probably be looking at a city championship!" Reid just blushed.
