Chapter 4

Tails woke up to the sound of the blaring alarm clock on the internal shelf next to the bed. Tails groaned, feeling the sound nag at this ears. Tails rolled to the side, feeling in the darkness of his room for the alarm.

Tails hit the clock with surprising results, turning it off, and the clock slides of the shelf and on the floor of the room, bouncing across the solid metal. Tails propped himself up by the elbows, and yawned. "Best sleep i got in two weeks..." Tails said, placing his hand on the light-button, pressing it causing the lights flash on, making Tails wince at the brightness of the artificial lights. "why in the world do i have these lights on so bright?" he said covering his face from the ceiling, as if he was wearing a baseball cap.

Else were, Cosmo was talking to cream, Amy, and sonic in the MED bay, all asking her questions, laughing, talking to the friend that they thought to have lost for good. eventually they all started to leave so Cosmo could get some well needed sleep, after the cold, hard pressure in that asteroid had a lot of damage done to the inner organs, something that Tails was worrying most about. But thank goodness, that Tails didn't know that it was bad at all, at least not yet...

Tails walked into the restroom of his dorm, and showered, then headed to the MED bay, his heavy sadness that over came him over the last two weeks melted away faster than butter in a skillet. Tails felt a smile come to his face as he came to the doorway of the MED bay. Cosmo was sitting up in the hospital bed on the far side of the bay. Tails walked over to her bed, seeing Cosmo look back, smiling at him, seeing the happiness spring from his face, his smile, Cosmo took in every detail, seeing the life that was never there before. Tails equally enjoyed the sight of Cosmo again, wanting to keep her safe, to never let another threat hurt, or touch her ever again.

The silence of the Med bay was disturbed by the screeching of rubber sloes, sonic was racing down the metal halls of the Typhoon, searching for the captain of the vesil; Tails. Sonic raced to the door of the Med bay, breaking roughly, nearly toppling over.
"You need to get to the bridge! Cause, i don't think pointing large cannons at us is very hospitable!" Sonic said, and some would swear he looked like the chilly dog stand out-ran him! Tails looked away to Cosmo, with a determined expression he said "Ill be back."
And then Tails and sonic where speeding down the hallways, rattling the steel plates bellow them.

On the bridge Amy and cream are looking for any communications that is coming from the what seemed to be (warning: if you don't know what im talking about just go search it.) a huge star-wars Empire cruiser with two massive wings that arch forward, and long cylinders lining the entire both sides of the hull. The bridge tower of the ship had a large reflective bubble replacing it, it seemed to shimmer with a hexagon pattern on the bubble. The ship easily brought great fear to all who looked upon the great vesil, but when Tails arrived, it seemed that it was a mere gunship in his mind, Tails quickly jumped over the edge of his seat, and landed into the commander's cockpit. Tails quickly assessed the situation. He hit a series of keys, switches and other nobs creating a orcistra of beeps bops and boops that lead to the broadcast from tail's mic.

"This is Miles Prower, captain of this ship, we are asking for you to please remain passive, we mean no harm to you or your vesile." Tails said into his mic.
Silence took the ship, not a sound could be heard except for the soft hum of the engine. Time passed and a wave appeared on Cream's screen. "Captain Prower, we have received your request and we will follow it if you make a small deal with us," came a digital voice, male, and could be compared to two gears grinding against each other. "And what deal would that be?" "We came for a power source, and this power source is leaking from the shell of your vesil, a power cell of some kind. If at all possible, we must obtain it. either you hand over the energy cell, or we will be forced to board your vesile, it is at your discretion which choice you take, but if you don't chose, we will. Over and out."

The closing of the channel brought once again the eerie silence that was there before, Sonic was the first to speak "Does that mean the chaos emeralds?" he said looking around for someone else to speak up. "I think so, the leak might be from the battle he had with the Metarex and we could have overlooked it. we cant let them have the chaos emeralds, god knows what they would do if they had that kind of power!" Tails said, afraid of the dire consequences that could come from it.

"We need to get out of here, we don't want to fight these guys, we are going to leave with the chaos emeralds, at all costs! The Typhoon wont leave here if we loose any emeralds." Tails said, "What if we fire and dash out of the way?" Sonic said, getting into a defensive position. "No, they have too many cannons to miss even half of them, so we cant hit and run, but maybe we could pretend to have the power source, and board, then take over?" Tails suggested, the team mutter agreement, Knuckles spoke up "It sounded like they only knew that there was a powerful energy source, so we could trick them by taking a emerald." "And maybe we could hide in barrels or some kind of container to trick them that we are the energy cells," Tails added.

The team quickly got the steel power cells and took out the power mechanisms, then tails and knuckles into them. Sonic could barely control him self, "Hey, look, it's a Knuckle sandwich in a can!" Sonic said once in the safety of Knuckles' wraith. Knuckles at the moment steaming like 'can' of vegetables, beat at the nuclear proof container wall, screaming gibberish of something about canning sonic. Tails slid into the power cell shell, took the green emerald and wrapped his tails around him so he could fit all the way. "Please be gentle with me, i don't want to end up puking on my oun fur," Tails said with a shiver and sealed the can from the inside.

Sonic and Amy pulled the canned allies to the cargo bay, and entered a STV (Space, Transport, Vehicle.) and flew under the huge cruiser, and up through the light red shield than covered the cargo bay of the ship. The inside was a standard working crew, but they where not really standard, they look like they where built by their oun crew mates. Some would call them Promethean, but they called them selves the NiroBots, Their brain waves interact together to create a kind of super computer. The NiroBots all where small with most of their bodies just above the hips, arms hinge off from the hips, round caches of tools circle their arms, yellow glowing tubes looks like the NiroBot form of arteries, transporting a electric charge along the skeletal frame of the bot. Their arms continually rotate back and forth, choosing tool after tool to continuously build over the wire frame of the cargo bay, one a plasma cutter, another a welder, and often when not using a tool, it goes back to a quad claw grapple, picking up a piece of scrap with one claw, then uses a welder on the other, building on.

The STV landed on to what appeared to be a landing zone, and opened the back door. The atmosphere vented out to the null, empty space within the Cruiser. A bot used it's magnetic... feet, i guess, (looks like a large peace of metal with coils and small thrusters on the bottom of it's legs.) to silently walk over to the floating barrels, and grasped them in his claws, then walked into the darkness of a corner.
"I guess we leave now." sonic said to himself as he pulled the belly shut of the STV.

Tails looked through the transparent tempered glass, seeing his friends leave him behind on the robotic ship. Taking advantage of this time he moved around and wound up his tails behind him in the tight space. poised for attack he was set down next to several other various cubes, boxes, cylinders, and batteries. Tails watched as he saw the bot walk back down the same hallway, and left them. He reach to the lever and yanked it to the side and thrusted himself out of the empty battery shell, ricocheting the barrels around the room, tails jumped off the cell, and landed on Knuckles' cell, and helped him yank the lid off.
"When I get my hands on Sonic..." Knuckles was saying as he got out and landed to the semi-iron-steel-etc. floor of the room. Tails put his ear to the frame of the wall and heard the slamming of metal getting louder.
"They Know we are here," Tails said, motioning for Knuckles to follow. Knuckles did so, as they bounced around in the steel jungle of frames, wires and various components. they came along to a solid looking room, the walls where fully plated, and several bots with large glowing arms that resembles a cannon with several boxes and joints on them. (use your imagination.) Tails held up a shaky hand, (HOLD) and Knuckles stopped. They peeked around the corner, they saw a small device with a power flow conducting through into the bottom of the device, and a yellow lightning flow up, out of the device, being sent upwards into the sky.

Sorry for abrupt stop, i didn't get it all done, so ill stop here and make a new chapter.
