Chapter 8

'Party Time'

Everyone was talking at the reception and waiting for Emma and Neal to come from round the corner. They were at the town hall which had been decorated with white tables, a big dance floor and a stage for the band. Then someone got up on stage and said into the microphone, "Everyone please welcome for the first time, Mr and Mrs Cassidy!" Suddenly Emma and Neal came from round the corner but this time Emma wasn't wearing her veil and everyone was on their feet. Everyone was going to the happy couple and congratulating them. When Emma saw Lara she went up to her. Lara saw Emma coming over to her, when Emma was over they gave each other a hug. "Congratulations Emma" Lara said.

"Thanks Lara" Emma and Lara were talking for about five minutes when Mary-Margret came over with Neal and said, "Emma I just got off the phone with the band and they said they can't make it for another 2 hours."

"Great now where are we going to get a band to do our first dance?" Emma said.

Neal then said, "Well some people have said that they can play but they need and singer so..." Neal and Mary-Margret then look at Lara.

Lara saw where this was going and looked at them with a nervous face, "No, no, no, no I'm sorry but I've only performed once."

Emma then just looked at her, "Lara you're like the only person in this town who can sing amazingly so Lara will you do the honour of sing for my and Neal's wedding?"

Lara just looked at them not knowing what to do, but then Lara knew what she should do and smiled, "I would be honoured to."

Lara was now on stage ready to start singing,

Neal then got up from his seat and led him and Emma to the dance floor to start their first dance.

By the end of the dance everyone was on their feet clapping. Emma and Neal were forehead to forehead and Lara was clapping like everyone else.

After 2 long hours the band finally arrived. Nearly everybody was on the dance floor dancing but Lara was one of those who weren't. When Emma finished dancing with her dad she went to Lara and said, "Hey why aren't you on the dance floor?"

"I haven't danced for a while." She said with a sigh.

Emma wasn't going to let Lara just sit around at her wedding so she went up to the band and whispered something to them. When she finished speaking to them the singer went up to the microphone and said, "Ok everybody we want everybody on their feet for this song."

Then they started to sing 'My Life Would Suck Without You.' Emma then went to her son and whispered something to him. Henry smiled and walked up to Lara. He held out his hand and said like a gentlemen, "May I have this dance?" Lara laughed a little bit and said to him "Yes you may."

Half way through the song everyone was on their feet and dancing like they were drunk, which some of them were. Coming to the end of the song Neal got people to back up to give him and Emma some space. Suddenly he picked Emma up bridal style and spun her around. Emma screamed his name but laughed at the same time.

After the big dance Lara went outside to get some air. She was out there for about five minutes when it started to get cold so when she was about to go back in someone said "You can't protect her forever."

Lara turned around to see the owner of the voice. When she did she saw it was Tamara. Lara looked at her and said "You are not getting anywhere near my sister. I will protect her no matter what."

"You said the same thing about Jack and look what happened." Tamara said with a pretend sad face. At this moment Lara looked like she was about to burst into tears.

"I don't care what you say Emma is my sister and I will prote-" Before Lara could finish a voice interrupted.

"Emma's your what?!"
