Chapter 9

'Secret out?'

Spinning around fast Lara saw the voice belonged to her brother in-law, "Neal?! Wh-what are you doing out here?" Her speech stumbled in surprise.

"I saw you come out here and I wanted to make sure you were ok. Now back to what you said Emma's your sister?!"

"Ok Neal calm down-" Before Lara could finish her sentence Ruby came running out.

"What's going on?" Lara couldn't take it anymore she quickly turned round to see if Tamara was still there. She wasn't. Lara then dragged Neal and Ruby round the corner so she could speak to them.

"Ok Neal listen yes I'm Emma's sister, no doesn't know and yes Ruby knows." Neal just looked at her in shock.

"Was that person you were talking to...?" Lara nodded "It was Tamara." Ruby just stood there not knowing what to do. Now that Neal knew about Lara how much longer will Lara be able to keep this secret?

"Listen I need this to be quiet for a bit later. Please just give me a couple of days and I will tell them about me."

"Ok no Lara no, Emma is my wife now and i can't keep secrets now." Neal said but nearly sounded like a yell.

"I know but-" Lara started to say but was cut off by Ruby saying, "Lara tell his about the dagger."

Lara just look at her and then Neal, "What dagger?" Neal asked.

"There's this dagger that can kill me or Emma by a single cut." Neal then just put his hands up to his mouth just like the way he found out about Henry in New York. Just when Lara was going to explain more Marry-Margret came out saying "Hey what's going on here?"

"Nothing just getting some fresh air." Lara said.

"Ok well Neal you better get ready because you and Emma are going to be leaving for your honeymoon in a minute."

"Ok I'll be there in I'll second." Neal said. After Mary-Margret left Neal sighed and started to walk to the door to go back in.

"Neal please," Lara started to say; "When you and Emma get back I will tell her but please don't say anything."

Neal looked at her and left.

After Lara and Ruby went back in, Lara saw Emma and Neal were just about to leave for their honeymoon. Everybody was saying goodbye to them. Emma was saying goodbye to her parents while Neal was just finishing saying goodbye to his father and Belle. Lara walked up to him and said "Neal," Mr Gold and Belle left and Neal turned to Lara.

"Your secret is safe with me." Lara then gave a sigh for relief. "But I can't keep this a secret forever."

"You don't have to," Lara said, "I promise when you and Emma get back I will tell her."

After that Neal and Emma left for their honeymoon and nothing was going to be troubling her.
