Chapter 10

'Back home but in trouble'

Two weeks after Neal and Emma returned from their honeymoon Lara hasn't had the perfect time to tell Emma that she's her sister. Every time she comes close to telling her she always gets interrupted. Right now Lara was at the Inn doing some writing when her phone started to ring. "Hello?" There was no answer. "Hello?" she asked again.

"You're running out of time Lara, you only have an till a flash of light." Then the line went dead.

"What? He-hello? Hello?!" there was no answer. "What the hell?" she asked herself while putting the phone down. "Only have till a flash of light?"

Emma and Neal were both sitting on the sofa cuddling while watching 'Marley and Me'. "I can't believe you taught me into watching this again." Emma said while washed away another tear.

"What? You said i got to pick the movie this week as long as it didn't make you cry. I asked you if it stilled made you cry and you said no." Neal said.

"Whatever." Emma said whipping away another tear.

"Mum, dad can one of you come here please? I'm stuck on my homework!" Henry yelled from his room upstairs.

"I'll go" Neal said starting to get up. But then Emma stopped him.

"No I'll go to get away from this movie." Emma said getting up and jogging out the room. Neal smirked and got up to go to the kitchen. As he walked down the hall he came across and piece of paper on the floor. Curiously he bent down and picked it up. Looking at it he read 'Hope you spend every moment with her since you don't have long'. When he finished he looked upstairs knowing that 'her' was Emma.

Later that day Lara was down at Granny's have some hot chocolate when Emma came over to her and sat down with her. "Hey Lara" she said.

"HI" Lara said with a weak smile.

"You ok?" Emma asked. Lara nodded. "Really?"

"Yeah it just..." Lara started "Wha-What was it like growing up?"

"Well... I was being bounced around from foster home to foster, met Neal, had Henry and then came here and found my parents. Why?"

"No reason just wondering" Lara said with a little lie.

"Well I've got say I would of liked to of have a sister." When Emma said that Lara's head shot up at Emma's.

"Really?"

"Yeah it would of been fun" Emma said.

"Emma listen I've got something to tell you" Lara said.

"What is it?"

"Emma.. I'm-" before Lara could finish Ruby came over.

"Hey Lara its time to perform" she said.

"Ok, tell you later Emma"

"Ok" Lara then left the seat and went up onto the stage.

"Hi everyone tonight I will be singing 'Really don't care'. She turned round and nodded to show she was ready. The music then started to play.

While she was singing Emma went up to Ruby, who was behind the bar, and asked for a drink. While Ruby was getting it ready she started to talk to Emma. "Well she got one hell of a voice doesn't she?"

"Yeah she does" Emma said. Once Emma got her drink she went outside to find Neal and her parents coming over to her. "Hey guys"

Neal went up to her and kissed her "Hey honey, why don't we go inside it's a bit chilly."

"Ok" Just as they were making there way back inside someone shouted out Emma's name. Turning around she was shocked to see who it was, "Tamara, Greg? What are you doing here?!"

"What did you not know I was coming after I gave you that cut on your arm" Tamara said.

"She cut you arm?!" Just as Emma was about to answer Greg pulled out a dagger.

"This dagger as you know Emma can kill you by a single," Greg started to say, suddenly lighting struck the sky, "and that is going to be today." Suddenly everything was in slow motion. Greg threw the dagger at Emma but she was thrown onto the ground. A loud high pitch scream filled the air. When Emma turned around to see who pushed her she looked at them in surprise, "Lara?"

"Hi" Lara said weakly.

"Why did you do that?" Emma said while sitting up and looking right at Lara.

"Because your my sister."
