Joker and Ivy

Chapter 4

A/N:

I'm so sorry for the long delay, I'll try to update faster.

Flashback:

Pamela ran from her house with no set curse, she was sad and wanted to be as far away from that monster as she could, what had she done wrong? It wasn't her fault her mother died at child birth; she had no control over that! Her legs started to grow tired and to top it all off she felt drops of rain, soon the drizzle had soaked her and she wanted to sit down, she found herself in the park and decided to sit under a tree, for some weird reason she found comfort in plants, they couldn't judge her like all the people at school did and they couldn't hurt her. She hugged her knees and started to cry, some people gave her odd looks but none stopped, she didn't want to go back, but where could she stay, who would feed her and she knew if she didn't go to school she had no future. She sighted sadly and knew she had to go back, she was about to get up, when she felt someone tap her shoulder, it was a young boy a little older than her, he smiled gently at her "I'm sorry for bothering, but are you okay?" Pamela looked at her feet and shook her head, he sat next to her "I knew it" Pamela looked at him suspiciously "How do you know" the boy smiled sadly and showed a bruise in his collar bone, making her gasp "You look like me when I get in and argument with the old man" Pamela looked downwards "I just don't know what I did wrong" she said in voice that was barely above a whisper, the boy put a hand on her shoulder "You`re looking at it from the wrong point of view, you have done nothing wrong people like them just take their anger on us because they think we are weak, I'm sure you are an amazing person" Pamela blushed a little at the compliment "How are you not sad" the boy giggled "oh, trust me I was the saddest boy in all of Gotham, but then after days of reflecting I thought if spent all my time sulking and brooding about how sad my life I would die like that, and I don't want that, trust me smile is the best medicine" he got up and extended his hand "come on, I`ll buy you some ice cream" she shyly took his hand and smiled at him. "You never told me your name little one"-"My name is Pamela, I'm 10"-"What a nice name, my name is Jack and I`m 14" Pamela may had to return to her house that day, but for once in a long time she didn't feel like she was a nuisance, she was happy because she had made a new friend, one that understood her "It was nice to meet you Pammie" he had said before they said their goodbyes. She giggled at the nickname and smiled at the thought of having a friend.

End of flashback

Pamela shook her head, it was impossible the Joker was no way in hell her childhood friend, Jack had been nice and caring he listened to her when she wanted to express her feelings, and would always maker smile and laugh. Yes the Joker wanted to make people laugh but when the Joker did it, he made jokes in his twisted sense of humor, he was the most notorious killer in the world, surpassing the likes of villains like professor Zoom and Bizarro for one sole reason, the Joker will torture you and laugh at you, force you to unthinkable things and if you survived you will be scarred for life. Pamela groaned and shook her head, why was she going down the memory lane so much this days. It made her look weak. Besides her scarecrow started humming a tune, that she was sure was of a terror movie, couldn't he drop the creepy act for like a second? The Joker had kept his mouth shut, Pamela waited patiently for the lights to be shut off so that she could go to sleep, she was back at Arkham and she already hated it.
