Chapter 16: Ninja and Daredevil: The power of Awesome Part 2
Fear struck into the hearts of everyone that saw Eris. The most threatening was her lasers that she shot down on people. Many were hit by her blasts and changed into twelve foot green goblin monsters, but still retained their clothing. The evil goddess laughed sinisterly and continued her line of chaos. The unfortunate ones on the amusement rides during the event were shot and turned into goblin monsters.
Eris moved forward, heading straight for the rollercoaster. She charged up her fists, ready to fire on the kids on the new rollercoaster. However, she didn't get closer as someone shouted, "Ninja air Fist!" A fist sized air, shaped like a fist, flew straight at the goddess and hit her at the face. The only effect the attack did was cause a tiny bruise and pushed her slightly back.
The ancient goddess regained herself and hissed in anger, "Who dares interrupts my chaos!"
"I dare." said a male voice.
Eris glanced down, at the ground and found the Ninja standing, "You're alive? But how? You're supposed to be dead! Unless…" She narrowed her eyes at him, sniffing the air directly at him. The Ninja made no motion to attack, though he found it odd about her sudden behavior. Unknown to him, Eris noticed something odd about the Ninja. It was with this thought that she stopped and smirked, "You're not the Ninja I met, are you?"
"Say what now –I mean I'm the Ninja."
"Don't lie to me, mortal." Eris drew closer, "You're costume is more different than last time and your eye color is different. No amount of old age can change that and believe me I know."
Seeing that he wasn't fooling her, the Ninja admitted it, "Okay, you got me. But I'm the current Ninja and I won't let you take over Norrisville."
Eris smirked, chuckling to herself, "Alright, I like a challenge." She opened her fist, allowing an ice to form in it, "Have a chilling day, Ninja." Just as she said, she threw the ice at him.
The Ninja watched as the attack came and leapt backwards, avoiding it. Eris continued to shoot more ice blasts at him, forcing the Ninja to jump out of each attack. He then got into a stance, allowing flames to surround him, "Take this you old hag. Ninja Tengu Fire ball!" The Ninja shot his hand forward, shooting a fire ball to hit Eris.
The Goddess got hit at the head, but the attack healed just as it came, "Nice try, Ninja, but I have my own tricks. Destroy the Ninja, my slaves." The people she turned into goblins perked back into reality and growled. They did as ordered and began to advance at the Ninja, growling and snarling in monstrous voices.
The Ninja remained silent, mostly because he had nothing to say. The monsters advanced forward, each growling and snarling with every step. With every step, they closed the space between them and the Ninja. They already had the Ninja surrounded in the middle of a circle, which cut off any way of escaping. Eris watched this and scowled, "Will you just get him faster?!"
Obeying her command, the monster growled and charged at the Ninja, fast this time. The Ninja's eyes flew wide for a second before returning back to focus and determination. Some monsters at his left and right sent their claws at him, but he jumped away. While air borne, he did a back flip and landed out of the field of monsters.
"Eat Ninja Tripping balls!" The Ninja clutched the balls and threw them to the ground. As predicated, the monster rushed towards him but fell when their feet touched on the balls, "Okay, that will hold them." The Ninja said. To his disappointment, the monsters began to climb over the fallen ones, still heading towards him, "Or not." The Ninja took a step. Things turned from the worse when some of the monsters sprouted wings and flew straight at the Ninja.
"They have wings now? Ninja dodge!" At the last syllable, the Ninja shifted from the right, just in time to avoid a flying monster, "This is getting out of control."
"You have no idea, Ninja." Eris appeared behind him in a smaller form. Quickly, she swung her hand at the Ninja, sending him flying to a bunch of monsters. The creatures grabbed him and held his arms and legs apart. The Ninja tried to struggle out, but the creatures were strong. To make things worse, Eris chuckled and hovered right at his face, "Before I destroy you I want to see who you are."
"Try as much as you can, but you'll not win." After saying those words, the Ninja tried struggling again but to no use.
"You seem to forget something. I'm Eris, the goddess of Discord. I can remove that mask of yours without suffering through any failsafe." Eris said and began reaching her hand to the mask. She was just about to hold it when a voice interrupted her by someone calling her name.
All eyes flew to the other side and found someone heading fast at them. In closer observation, the person was a kid, wearing a red and white jumpsuit and a helmet with the same color design. The kid had a long pole in his hand as he rode on a blue skate board, heading towards the large herd of monsters. The Daredevil cocked a grin and went faster, getting closer with every second. Once he got close, he struck the pole to the ground and launched himself into the air. He flew straight at Eris and kicked her right at the face, sending her flying.
The kid landed on the ground and smirked, "No one swats Kick Buttowski and gets away with it." Unfortunately, the short victory was short lived, soon replaced with the sounds of growling coming from behind. Kick could hear the angry growling and muttered, "Oh biscuits."
The young daredevil decided to look back and not surprising, the goblins were snarling at him and advancing slowly. Kick took a step back, half from fright and the other in doubt. The Ninja watched all this happened, still held by some goblins, and interjected, "Okay, this is getting uncomfortable. Ninja Rage!"
Suddenly, his entire body was engulfed in hot flames. His suit became red and black stripes, along with his eyes. The Ninja felt his powers boost to a whole new level and the feeling of adrenaline running through his body. With this found energy, the Ninja made the flames to engulf him, causing the goblins to let go. He put some distance between him and the goblins, standing next to Kick, and lightening up flames in his hands.
Kick watched the Ninja form fire balls in his hands and interjected, "Stop, you can't hurt them. They're people too."
The Ninja tilted his head at him, but said nothing at all. Instead he looked back at the goblins and shot the flames. The fire blasts didn't hit the creatures as the Ninja's intention. Instead he hit the ground before them and made the flames to grow into a flaming wall.
"Wow, I did not see that coming." Kick said, staring at the fire wall. He got over it instantly and smiled at the Ninja, "Nice one."
The Ninja nodded at him as a response. The precious power he felt began to leave, changing his Ninja suit back to normal. The red suit with black stripes ceased, changing back to the normal black suit with red stripes. The Ninja's eyes also changed back from red and back to normal.
"The flames won't hold them for long. Until then we should head somewhere same." The Ninja informed Kick as he walked to him.
Kick took a glance back at the fire wall and back at the Ninja, "Are you sure it won't hold. It seems untouchable."
Almost like the universe was against them, the flame wall disappeared into thin air. The goblins didn't have anything holding them back and began to growling at Randy and Kick, preparing to attack.
"Oh biscuit, with gravy."
The Ninja took a stance, "Ninja Trippin' balls." Immediately, he threw several metal balls. The balls hit the ground, right before Randy and Kick, and made the front line goblins to fall when they stepped on it. The balls served as a distraction long enough for the Ninja and Kick to retreat as fast as they could.
Despite that they put distance between the goblins and them, the Ninja and Kick kept running. This was to ensure that they lost them for sure, considering that the monster will try to track them. While they were running, the Ninja took noticed to Kick's speed. He was impressed that he ran just the same level as him with breaking down into exhaustion. By the speed and distance the two were going, someone like Kick should have become exhausted, but he wasn't.
The Ninja and Kick kept running, turning left and right to ensure some distance. Once they were sure the goblins weren't following, they halted. Kick looked back to ensure that they weren't followed and sighed, "That's close. They weren't followed."
"You really should stop that." The Ninja said.
"Stop what?" The Daredevil looked back at him, "You don't think I jinxed us, did I?"
"Actually, you did." A voice, sounding like Eris, intervened.
Once they were heard the voice, a shuddering feeling went down their spine. There wasn't much to do, other than looking at directly at the sky from where the voice came from. The boys gasped, with eyes wide open as they found Eris floating, in her giant size, and multiple goblins flapping their wings to sustain themselves in the air. But what was worse was that two goblins, floating very close to her wore familiar clothes that The Ninja and Kick knew.
"Gunther." Kick muttered.
"Howard." The Ninja muttered.
Eris snickered to herself, grinning evilly, "This is the end for both of you. Thanks to that little boy over there, I was able to get closer to the rest of this place and turn everyone into my goblin army. Soon I shall use them to cause eternal chaos to this town and then the entire world. Finish them off" Her last statement was a command, which was carried by the goblins.
Sensing the danger, the Ninja and Kick stood back to back. The goblins began to swarming around them, keeping them in the middle of a circle. The Ninja first reaction was defensively protect Kick, but the daredevil refused.
"I'm no baby that needs protection." Kick told him, saying a serious tone.
The Ninja would have replied, but a voice cried out, "Kunoichi flash balls!"
"What?" The Ninja and Kick questioned, turning to the direction the voice came from. Multiple red balls flew through the air and hit the ground, creating a blinding light. It affected the goblins eye sight, due to their eye sight being different, and forced them to fly off. The Ninja and Kick were dumbstruck for a second, but then found a female Ninja walking towards them.
"Kunoichi? Men am I glad to see you." The Ninja sighed in relief.
Once she heard that name, Eris snarled, "The Kunoichi. It's been a while, or should I say eight hundred and two centuries long."
"What happened to you was your fault." The Kunoichi said with discipline.
"Oh don't give me that talk." Eris replied, beginning to sound like a spoilt brat, "All I wanted was to cause chaos, but nnnnnoooooo, you and those Ninjas just have to ruin everything. Can't a girl cause chaos these days?"
"You're kidding right?" The Kunoichi raised an eyebrow, "Your idea of fun is causing mayhem and disorder in the world."
"We all have to make a living." Eris simply shrugged like nothing was wrong. A cocky grin soon came up, with an idea already formed, "Besides, thanks to that stupid mirror I'm not in my full strength, but I have a present for you in return."
The Ninjas and Kick were confused by her statement, but didn't get the chance to understand. Something made of dust formed into Eris open palm and she blew it into the air. Her action was suspicious and the Kunoichi knew very well to be careful. She unknowingly breathed the dust in, which then spread through her entire body. The effect was tingling and not long she found her feet were frozen as stones.
The Kunoichi shrieked, "What is this?!"
Eris laughed sinisterly, "That's the effect of my ancient stone dust. In less than thirty seconds you'll be a stone forever."
True to her words, the effect continued from her feet and upwards, turning it into stone. The Ninja gasped and tried running to her aid, but she held her hand at him, urgently looking at him, "Now is not the time, Ninja! I'll be fine, just stop Eris!"
"But how?" The Ninja asked.
"Use the…" The Kunoichi couldn't finish as the spell took effect. At that very moment, standing in her place was the Kunoichi as a statue.
Eris laughed louder. The skies rumbled and lightening slashed, showing her evilness. Once she finished, she had a devilish grin that could scare the Sorcerer himself, "Now is your turn!"
"I don't think so." The Ninja said, taking a bold stance, "We're not done here, Eris. Smoke Bomb!" Just as he said, he threw done red balls to the ground, which caused a red dust cloud to cover him and Kick. When the cloud blew away, the Ninja and Kick were gone.
With them gone, Eris's grin turned into a sly grin, "Oh I count on it, Ninja. I count on it."
****************************************************(LINE BREAK)**********************************************
Yeah, that's another cliffhanger. Anyway, I apologize for this short chapter, but I'll make up for it in the next chapter. Originally I continued this chapter from here, but the suppose ending felt cheesy and a bit cliché. So how about stopping here? I asked myself, and so I did. The part I wanted to add will be in the next chapter. The next chapter will be longer than this chapter and maybe the other one combined. It will also be the final crossover between Kick and Randy in this story.
I don't know if I did this well, but I hope it was good enough. Please I need to know if this was good, so please feel free with criticize this chapter. If you're criticizing then don't flame.
