Welcome back, everyone. I bring to you another chapter and continuation of Randy Cunningham: Secret of the Nomicon. This chapter is one of my longest and I hope you all like it.
Chapter 17: Daredevil and Ninja: The power of Awesome Part 3
Kick peeked from a curtain entrance, searching for any sign of the goblins or Eris. He and the Ninja were hiding in an abandoned tent and hopefully weren't followed into the hiding place. Kick continued to look through the entrance and kept his senses peeked. From his observation there wasn't any sign of being followed.
"Well we lost them." Kick sighed in relief. Today was supposed to be an awesome day for him and Gunther. Now it was a lot worse than anything he has encountered. Kendall is possessed by a goddess, Gunther is now a goblin and Kick was hiding with a Ninja. Those were odds that he didn't thought were possible. But he decided to go through it, "So what now, Ninja guy?"
"It's the Ninja." The Ninja corrected him, emerging from the shadows, "I'm guessing your new here, right?"
"And I'm guessing you're a teenager underneath that suit." Kick said.
"True to that." The Ninja shrugged, "Anyway, I didn't get your name."
"I'm Kick, Kick Buttowski. I'm Mellowbrook suburban daredevil and soon the world."
"Well that is if Eris doesn't take over." The Ninja said interjecting his words, "Besides, I've got to stop her before she takes over Norrisville."
Kick nodded and took a step forward, "Yeah and I'm coming with you."
"Say what now." The Ninja was startled. In fact, when he looked better at Kick and realized how short he was and began to laugh. This didn't go away from Kick, who only glared at the Ninja, laughing loudly until he stopped.
"Are you done now?" Kick asked with a stern look.
"Yeah." The Ninja breathed out, "Sorry about that, but I can't endanger the innocent and at the same time defend the defenseless."
"You're calling me defenseless?" Kick scowled at the Ninja. The Daredevil became angry that he began walking towards him, pointing a finger at the Ninja as he continued, "Upon everything we went through just a few minutes ago you're calling me defenseless. Well that's where you're wrong, Ninja. Half the people in my town see me as reckless, stubborn and so other stuff I've forgotten just now because of the incredible stunts I've done." By this point, the Ninja stared at him with shock. The Daredevil noticed this and smirked as he crossed his arms, "Besides, I'm sure you don't want to end up a statue like your friend."
The Ninja only response was a sigh, "Okay fine, but don't say I didn't warn you."
"No need to worry, Ninja. I can look out for myself. So what do you say, partner?" Kick said and brought out his hand for a handshake.
The Ninja stared at him and then at his hand. It was a bit of a hard choice, but if what Kick said was true then he could help him. Eris was powerful even in her weak state and the Ninja knew that he can't beat her by himself. The only other person that could help was a frozen statue and now he had to rely on a ten year old for help. Though he should feel guilty about giving into the boy's demand, the Ninja admired Kick's show of bravery. Besides, if kicking Eris away wasn't bruce enough then the Ninja didn't know what.
"Alright, partner." The Ninja smirked and accepted his hand. Together, they shook hands as a symbol of partnership and teamwork.
"Let's show her what we got..." Kick then smirked, "And then some."
*********************************************(LINE BREAK)**********************************
"Are you sure we should get it? It's just a skateboard." said the Ninja
"Nonsense! Ol' Blue and I have gone through thick and thin, there's no way I'm living her here." Kick replied.
"You name your skateboard?" Randy held back from laughing.
"Says the guy that names all his Ninja balls."
"Okay, you got me there. So how do we get her?"
The boys current location was far from the tent. Having agreed to help each other, Kick needed his skateboard. Unfortunately, the last he used it was when he kicked Eris earlier. Since then it had remained with a squadron of goblins. The Ninja and Kick hid behind a fence and watched as the goblins looked at it. Even one of them lifted it and sniffs it.
"That's a just shnasty!" The Ninja shivered.
"Oddly it's not." Kick said normally, "From that blue shirt with my face on it that's Wackie Jackie."
The Ninja raised an eyebrow, though Kick couldn't see it through his mask. He looked back at the goblin as it clung the skateboard to its chest, "Let me guess crazed fan."
"Yep." Kick nodded, "Come on, let's get it back."
Before the Ninja could utter a word, Kick leap from their hiding place and stood right in front of the goblins. He stood in a daring stance and pointed a daring finger at the goblin-Jackie, "Jackie, let go of her."
"NEVER!" She growled loudly. The nearby goblins heard her and darted their cold glaring eyes at Kick.
"Aw biscuit." Kick said.
The goblins took charge and dived at Kick. However, the young daredevil was patient and step sideway from it, causing the goblin to fall to the ground. The other goblins dove at him, but Kick easily dodged them and soon began to jump on top of one and another, leading up to standing on top of a pile of goblins. The familiar adrenaline pumps through his vines and soon he jumped at the goblin-Wackie.
However, the large size Wackie swats him away, sending him tumbling on the ground. Kick rolled but got back to his feet before making a mad dash. He slide between her legs and stood at the other side, "Now, Ninja!"
The Ninja took it as his queue and jumped into the air, "Ninja Cold Balls!" He shouted and threw a blue ball at Wackie. In an instant, Wackie was frozen in a block of ice, except her hand which held Kick's skateboard.
"I'll take that." Kick came and took it out of her hand. He held Ol' Blue in his right arm and turned to the Ninja, "Let's rock."
*********************************************(LINE BREAK)*****************************************
The Ninja and Kick made a mad dash out of Whoopee world. The entire amusement park was deserted of Eris, meaning she already started her chaos on the town. Unfortunately, they were right and came to a horrible sight. Mutant goblins flew through the town, chasing people and destroying things. The skies were darker than ever as Eris hovered in the air.
A sudden scream caught both boys' ears and they found Heidi and Theresa being chased by two mutant goblins. The Ninja quickly gave chase with Kick following from behind. He jumped on top of one of them and threw a ball down, "Smoke bomb!"
The Ninja's cloud of dust covered the two goblins, causing them to cough and stop. Though no one could see through the cloud, exchange of a fight took place before it cleared revealing two unconscious goblins and the Ninja standing.
"Ninja!" Both girls ran to him and embrace him in a hug. For the moment, the Ninja fell into a dream state and muttered, "You smell like rainbows and strawberry."
"What did you say?" Theresa asked, letting go of him along with Heidi.
The Ninja regained himself, "I meant...um."
"He said if you girls are alright?" Kick intervened. Though Kick already knew what the Ninja really said, it was a way to get the girls to lay off the Ninja. It seems to work as the girls completely forgot about the Ninja's mistake and confirmed they're fine.
The Ninja silently thanked Kick as he regained himself, "So how long has this been going on?"
"For thirty minutes! You have to do something." Theresa said to him.
"Don't worry, I will." The Ninja assured them. Kick made a fake cough, actually correcting the Ninja, "I mean we'll handle it."
"Who's he?" Heidi asked, gesturing to Kick.
"I'm Kick Buttowski, Mellowbrook Daredevil."
"But aren't you…" Theresa tried to find the right word to say, but couldn't, "Aren't you short to be that?"
Kick narrowed his eyes at her threateningly, "If you think that way, then we're going to have a problem."
Before any tension could rise, The Ninja interjected, "Look we have a big problem here, so I need you girls to get everyone in town to a safe location. Can you do that?"
"Sure we can." Theresa answered.
"But what about you and Kick?" Heidi asked, almost fearing their safety.
"We'll be fine." Kick stood next to Kick, showing his usual smirk.
The girls understood, though hesitate. Before they left, Heidi hugged the Ninja and whispered for him to be safe. The Ninja silently nodded before she left and Theresa kissed his on the cheek, causing him to blush. Luckily, Theresa didn't see it due to his mask and ran off with Heidi to help. But as they left, the Ninja stared at them dreamily as the girls left.
"Um, Ninja? NINJA!"
"Wha?" The Ninja shook his head, coming back to reality. He turned to Kick and found the younger kid giving him a stern look, "What?"
"You disgust me." That's all Kick said before walking away.
The Ninja flustered, but kept it to himself. Instead of saying anything, he ran to catch up with Kick.
*********************************************************(LINE BREAK)*********************************
While the chaos on Norrisville continued, Heidi and Theresa did their best to take everyone safe. Unfortunately, the town was so much in a ruckus that no one listened. So there wasn't much they could do until Heidi got an idea when she saw an abandoned fire truck. She led Theresa to the truck and entered.
"Are you sure you can drive this?" There asked while standing outside.
"Of course I can." Heidi said with a fake smile. The key wasn't in so she began to hotwiring it. Theresa wanted to stop her, but Heidi didn't listen to her. She wasn't experienced in the work, but she mentioned seeing it in some movies.
Theresa sighed, shaking her head slowly, "Heidi, there's no way you can…" She got caught off as the truck started its engine. Theresa's eyes flew wide, staring at the truck and then back at Heidi, "How did you do that?"
"I told you…" Heidi turned away with a smirk, "I got skills."
"You didn't mention that."
"Well now I did. Now do you want to get in and help save the town or stay out there?"
Theresa complied easily and sat next to her. Much to their fortune, Theresa found a blowhorn. The truck functioned well and soon both girls were driving through the streets.
"How can you drive?" Theresa asked her.
Heidi didn't turn her eyes, "Remember driver's Ed? Well I've been taking it. Now enough talking and use that blowhorn to tell everyone to head somewhere safe."
"But where?" Theresa took the device in her hand, "If they try entering their houses the goblins break in."
"Then we need a place that's invincible to attacks and can withstand its own." Heidi said and soon began to think about it, though it didn't take long. An ideal location came to mind and both girls faced each other and shouted, "Mcfist industry!"
Both girls became more determined and worked together. Theresa brought out the blowhorn and began speaking through it, telling everyone that heard her voice to head to Mcfist industries. The place seems impervious to almost any attack, including goblins attacks. Anybody that heard her immediately ran to the large establishment without hesistation. By the time they finished, everyone was already on their way there.
With their mission done, Heidi stopped the truck to take a breather and so did Theresa. It wasn't an easy job, but they were able to do it. The people will find their way to Mcfist industries and will be safe there.
"We…did it." Theresa sighed down on her seat.
"We totally did." Heidi smiled.
However, the peaceful moment didn't last as a goblin flew right at the windshield, terrifying the girls. It began to break through, punching it and causing the glass to crack.
"Heidi, do something!" Theresa shouted in terror.
Heidi tried to start the truck by connecting the wires like last time, but it didn't work. The goblin continued to break the glass and succeeded. The girls had no other choice, but to run out of the car. Unfortunately, the goblin saw them and flew in front of them. The girls weren't sure about their next move, only moving back as the creature came closer.
"Does this guy look familiar?" Theresa noticed something from him.
Heidi narrowed her eyes to the shirt, "Yeah, you're right." The goblin had brown hair and wore a shirt with a fist in it. Heidi could easily tell it was Bash, "but how is that going to help us?"
"I have no clue." Theresa gulped.
As the goblin drew closer, the girls knew there was no use of running. If they did, he would catch them quick and who knew what would happen next. The goblin also began muttering about bashing them, indicating that it was truly the Bash they knew. Though it was him, he's also under the control of Eris and that means he won't hold back.
But as Heidi stared at the giant creature that was once Bash, something came upon her. A twinkle of a blue flash, resembling a spark, appeared in her pupil before fading. That instant all traces of fear faded and she stood boldly in front of Goblin-Bash. Theresa was surprise, with all traces of fear replaced with curiosity. She couldn't help that something odd was happening to Heidi.
"So you want to bash us, huh?" She said with a grin forming. Like a tough guy ready to fight, she cracked her fist and her neck, surprising Theresa the more. Heidi didn't seem to notice Theresa's presence, if not she might avoided doing that, "Then come get me."
"Bash will bash you!" Goblin-Bash shouted and threw a fist at Heidi. However, the girl simply steps sideway in a flash, missing the blow. She had her arms crossed with a smirk on her face. This provoked Bash that he threw numerous punches at her. They came fast, but Heidi step sideway, avoiding each one of them in a flash. When Bash threw another, she held it with her hand and threw a punch at his face that made him to stumble backwards.
Goblin-Bash growled furiously and sent his claws at Heidi. However, Heidi bent down backwards (1), watching as the claw touched nothing but air. Once it was out of the way, she sent a kick at his chin, which made him to stumble backwards. While it still effect, Heidi charged at him, jumped in the air and sent a roundhouse kick that knocked him to the ground.
"Wow." Theresa uttered, "Heidi, ho-how can you do that?"
The mentioned girl raised an eyebrow and turned behind her to see Theresa, "Do I know you? Besides that, what's with the strange clothes?"
Theresa was shock, but didn't get the chance to wonder on it. Goblin-Bash got up and began to run on all fours. Heidi turned her attention from Theresa and grinned before running towards him. The two came closer, but Heidi then jumped over him, surprising Goblin-Bash. He got back on his feet and turned back only receive a roundhouse kick to his face.
Unlike the other ones, the kick took a toll on Goblin-Bash, causing him to become dizzy and stumble back. While the going was good, Heidi sent an uppercut that sent the twelve foot to the ground and knocked out.
After the short fight, Theresa finally came out of her shock state. She walked towards the unconscious Goblin-Bash, too dumbfounded at what just happened in front of her. A lot of questions were taking place and she turned to the only person that stood other than her.
"Um, Heidi, Do you mind explaining what just happened here?"
Heidi didn't seem to respond. In fact her expression seems neutral and frozen that way. If Theresa looked directly into Heidi's pupil, she'll notice a spark of blue take place and disappeared as it came. All the power Heidi put up came crashing down and she fell to her knees. Theresa reacted quickly, pushing aside the situation and went to her aid.
Theresa put Heidi's arm around her and lifted her up, "Heidi, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I am." She said with a low voice, "What happened?"
Theresa seem hesitate and less willing to tell her. Something wasn't right and it seems Heidi didn't know about it. Though she wanted answers, she knew safety was first, "The Ninja came and saved us." She lied.
Heidi took a glance around and found Goblin-Bash unconscious, "The Ninja did this? But I…thought he was…going to…" Heidi couldn't complete her sentence as she felt a great headache.
"Not now, Heidi. Now come on, we have to help people in Mcfist industries." Theresa said, even helping Heidi to walk. At the time being, she had to help Heidi until she recovered. She didn't know if she should bother about it when everything is over or just leave it. But whatever that took place, Theresa knew and will be keeping her eyes open than usual.
**************************************************(LINE BREAK)*********************************
Above the skies, Eris hovered as lightening struck and rumbled in her human sized form. She wasn't pleased about the sudden absence of chaos. In order for there to be chaos, they had to be people screaming in panic and terror, but now it was absent. Eris didn't know how, but she was sure the Ninja had something to do with it.
"Ninja Rings!" shouted a familiar voice. The three rings flew straight at Eris and scratched her hand, causing her to scream. Angered, she looked down and glared at the Ninja and Kick.
"I see you haven't learned your lesson." She said and began charging electricity, "Well I'll just have to shock you till you do."
Eris powered up her fist and shot a beam of electricity. The Ninja and Kick ran out of the way and separated into different directions. Eris was confused, but decided to chase Kick as he rode on Ol' Blue. For a short kid, he was fast, especially on his skateboard as it made him faster. Kick knew Eris was chasing him, but remained focus and determined.
Kick made different turns when he came upon one. The more the chase lasted, the longer Eris couldn't take it anymore. She charged up a bolt of lightning and shot it at Kick. However, instead of hitting Kick, it hit Ol' Blue, blasting it into pieces and sending Kick tumbling on the ground. Kick let out a groan, both from the impact and the lost of his skateboard. He got up and look up, finding Eris ready to blast him.
Eris was about to fire, but got caught off as a voice shouted, "Ninja intervene!" The Ninja jumped over Eris and stood between Kick and her, "Hey, Eris here's a knuckle sandwich." He said and punched her in the face, sending her flying a few meters.
The Ninja went to Kick and helped him up. Together, they walked to Eris as she looked up at them. She had a sly smile on her face, "Now you got me, Ninja what are you going to do now? We both know you can't kill a goddess despite your suit. Now…" She hovered from the ground, charging lightning bolts in her hands, "This is the end for both of you." With that said, she fired.
"Stay back!" The Ninja pushed Kick away. Before the blast could hit him, the Ninja became surrounded by flames and soon his suit became flaming red with black stripes, "Ninja Tengu Fire blaze!" He took much of the flames in his fists and shot them at the lightening.
Both attacks clashed, resulting in a big explosion that knocked anything nearby away, that included Kick, Eris and the Ninja. Luckily, the Ninja and Kick survived, lying on the ground from the explosion, but that also meant Eris did. The explosion also knocked the Ninja out of his ultimate form.
"Are you okay, Ninja?" Kick asked as he got off the ground.
"Yeah." The Ninja let out a groan, but stood up, "I've been through worse."
"So how are we taking her down? Obviously, fighting her head on isn't helping."
"I…don't know." The Ninja turned away, "Let me think." Like he said, he began to think and soon a memory from earlier in the day came up.
***********************************************(LINE BREAK)***********************
FLASHBACK
"So what should I do then?" Randy asked, worried.
Like she sensed what worried him, Kim answered, "No need to worry, Ninja. Death isn't always an option in battle. However, you must always think quickly and find out a way to beat the enemy."
FLASHBACK: LATER
The Kunoichi was being turn into stone due to Eris's magic, she halt the Ninja from helping her and said, "Now is not the time, Ninja! I'll be fine, just stop Eris!"
"But how?" The Ninja asked.
"Use the…" The Kunoichi got caught off as the effect took over, turning her into stone.
**********************************************(line break)***************************
Present time.
Remembering the earlier event, The Ninja thought about their connection. One thing he knew about Kim is her hints that would help him in the future. Though she couldn't tell him how to beat Eris, he knew she already did somehow, but he had to figure it out. Another memory came, this time it was when he read the Norisu Nine first encounter with Eris.
'The story of the Norisu Nine has been known for centuries even in the most secret places. One of them was the battle against Eris, the goddess of Discord. Unlike their battle before the Sorcerer, she proved to be more than a match and defeated all of them, except one. Too powerful to be beaten, the Kunoichi was given a magic mirror by Zeus. With this item, she allowed it to reflect against the sun, allowing the sunlight to bounce at Eris imprison her within the mirror."
Written doodled words from the narration floated above the Ninja. But the most important words were underlined which were 'mirror', 'imprison' and 'sunlight'.
"That's it!" The Ninja exclaimed. Kick raised an eyebrow at the Ninja, but he answered, "We have to get the mirror quick, Kick."
"Okay, but how do you think we should do that when that's coming." Kick said and pointed behind him.
Flying straight at them, Eris came in a rush. The Ninja and Kick quickly dodged her as she tried flying into them.
"One of us has to hold her off." The Ninja said urgently.
Kick thought about it and looked to the skies. He saw a few goblins flying in the sky and got an idea. With that thought he looked back at the Ninja, "I'll distract her .Now go and get that mirror."
The Ninja wanted to object, but he had to hurry. So instead, he said good luck to him and ran off to Whoopee world. While he left, Kick whistled to a goblin he saw, which so happen to be Goblin-Gunther, "Hey, Gunther. You're big and ugly!"
Though Kick didn't mean it, goblin-Gunther growled through his teeth, taking the bait. He flew straight at Kick, but the daredevil stood, waiting for the right time. Once goblin-Gunther dived down on him, Kick jumped on to him and tried to take control. However, the goblin gave up a fight, trying to throw Kick off, but failed.
"I hope this works." Kick muttered to himself. He reached to his neck and pinched it. Goblin-Gunther shrieked in pain and tried to push Kick off. He kept doing it, but Kick held his neck until he calmed down, "Sorry about that, Gunther, but I need you."
Due to his enhance hearing, Kick heard Eris coming straight at him. He quickly got focus and gripped Gunther's huge ears, like a reins to a horse. He tugged the ears and goblin-Gunter flew forward, with Eris chasing from behind. The goddess tried shooting them down, but Kick had quick reflexes and made goblin-Gunther to avoid the attacks.
However, Eris refused to give up and continued shooting lightening blasts. She missed as Kick reacted to avoid them, either by moving to the left, taking a turn or flying a bit higher. He then made goblin-Gunther to fly lower and so did Eris. This time the goddess kept her eyes on Kick and prepared to shoot goblin-Gunther down. Once she was sure about her target, she shot another lightening blast. Goblin-Gunther got him and began plummeting to the ground.
Kick was sent flying off his best friend when they hit the ground. He tumbled like a ball before coming to halt, feeling dizzy. Despite the world was spinning, he got up his feet and shook his head to gain his balance and mind.
"Wow." Kick blinked before a smirk took over, "That was awesome!"
"Yes, it was." Eris said, floating down to him, "Too bad it will be your last ride."
Kick tensed and moved a step back. He watched as Eris drew closer, ready to strike him. It seems all things were lost and the Ninja wasn't in sight…or that's what she thought.
"Ninja Rings!"
Once Eris heard those words, she turned to her right just as three Ninja rings were sent flying at her. She raised her hand at it and swat it away with a smug, "Ha! You lost!"
"Don't count on that!" The Ninja came from the left, kicking her at the side. Eris didn't expect it and fell to the ground. The Ninja landed on his feet and held a mirror at her direction, "Besides, it's time to lock you up, for good!"
Just as the Ninja held it, the mirror began to glow. Eris was too frozen in shock, fearing that she lost again. The only sound that could be heard was the mirror as it powered up, but then powered down. The Ninja was shock and glanced at it, "What the juice!?"
Seeing that the mirror failed, Eris cocked a grin and hover off the ground, "It seems you're the one that counted his luck."
"Ninja, what's the hold up?" Kick ran to him, sensing something was wrong.
"I don't know. This stupid thing won't work." The Ninja replied.
"Are you sure? Maybe you're forgetting something."
The Ninja thought about it, just as a bunch of doodled arrows pointed at the mirror, "If the mirror is to work there must be sunlight. That's it!" Just as he got that idea, the doodles pointed upwards and so did the Ninja. He found the skies were darkened which also blocked the sunlight, "That's why it wasn't working. We need the sun. Kick, hold this for me." He got an idea and threw it to the daredevil. Luckily, Kick caught it.
The Ninja got into a stance just as a ring of fire surrounded his feet. It spread upwards, turning his suit into fiery red with black stripes. Once his transformation was complete, he held a fire ball in each of his arms, "Ninja Tengu Fireball…EXTREME!"
The Ninja shot both fire balls to the sky. Along the way, both balls combined into a bigger fire ball that reached the sky. It then The two fire balls flew around each other and combined before entering the clouds. Within, it let out an outburst that wiped all the dark clouds away and revealing the bright blue skies and the sun.
Eris growled through her teeth, glaring at the blue skies. Everything was going her way a few minutes ago, but now it was becoming a failure. Before she could curse anymore on it, Kick called out to her.
"Hey, Eris." Kick held the mirror upwards, allowing the sunlight to reflect on it, "Your skin looks a bit pale, how about some sunlight." The mirror brightened, charging up its power. Eris didn't have a chance to avoid it before it hit her. The beam from the mirror fought through her body, trying to pull her like a magnet, but something was wrong and the boys noticed. Instead of a lone scream, there was another coming from Eris. Kick recognized it, knowing full well who it was.
"Kendall!" Kick said. Worried, he turned to the Ninja, "What's going on?!"
"My best guess is that the mirror is trying to get Eris, but your friend is in the way. We'll have to pull her out quick or who knows what will happen." The Ninja explained.
Kick nodded as he let the information sink into him. He had a plan, but it seems unlikely to use considering its danger for him and Kendall. However, as himself, Kick wasn't worried about the danger, knowing time was running out.
"Take the mirror." Kick told the Ninja and gave him.
"What are you doing?" The Ninja asked.
Kick walked away with a smirk, "Doing the extreme." He then turned from the Ninja and to goblin-Gunther. Just in time, he was getting up from unconsciousness, "Gunther, if you're really in there, I need you to throw me at Eris."
Goblin-Gunther looked at him and nodded. Somehow within the ugly creature, Gunther existed and was in control at the time being. Doing as his best friend said, Gunther took Kick in his hands and threw him at Eris. Kick took the chance to enjoy the moment as he felt he was flying. He even had his arms forward with his eyes straight at his target and a smirk on his face.
"Chimichanga!" Kick cried out. Instead of hitting Eris, he went through her and came out the other way with Kendall in his arms. Since Kendall wasn't within Eris, the mirror's power centralized mainly on Eris, drawing her into the mirror. The goddess screamed as she tried fighting back, but didn't have to power. Soon enough, she was sucked in the mirror before it powered down.
Touching down on the ground, Kick laid Kendall on the ground. She looked weakened due to her long stay in Eris, but amazingly opened her eyes. Within them, it was filled with happiness and gladness, "Thanks, Kick." She smiled. Unfortunately, exhaustion took over and she fell unconscious with a moan.
"How is she?" The Ninja asked, standing behind Kick.
Kick glance at Kendall for a while before placing her on the ground safely, "She's okay, just needs to rest. I can't blame her, considering what she went through."
"Well the important thing is she's okay." The Ninja said and placed his hand on his shoulder.
Just then, the normality of the town began to magically change back. Any magical hold Eris had began to break, returning the damaged buildings to normal and other smaller things like Ol' Blue. Also, Goblin-Gunther changed back to ordinary Gunther who fell asleep from the immediate transformation. The Ninja could guess with Eris gone, everything she did will be reverted to normal, which meant Kim would be back to normal again and any other person as a goblin will change back.
"Everything is right with the world again." The Ninja said, smiling underneath his mask, "Though there's something that still bothers me."
"Really, what is it?" Kick asked.
A scream interjected, interrupting them. It grew louder as it came to the ground before any of the boys reacted. From the skies, Howard hit the ground painfully and moaned, "I'm…okay."
"Ouch." The Ninja and Kick winced.
***************************************************(LINE BREAK)***********************************************
"So that's what happened?" Gunther asked, walking next to Kick. When Fitzpatrick was sure everyone was alright, she ordered everyone to head back to the town. No one could blame her considering she was one of those that turned into a goblin. What made it stranger is that the people of Norrisville were used to strange happenings.
On the way to the bus, Kick told them everything that happened. From the part of combating Eris and sucking her into the mirror, Kick didn't miss a detail. Most of the kids listened and were fascinated, except Ronaldo who found it hard to believe.
"Yeah, right." Ronaldo said sarcastically, "A Ninja, Kick? Get real."
"Then how do you explain all that happened?" Kick shot the genius a glare.
"Simple, Kick. It was obviously a dumb stunt gone wrong. We're just lucky that it wore off." Once Ronaldo explained, the kids began to mutter to themselves in agreement. This made Kick angry as he tried holding himself from attacking him. Ronaldo could see Kick getting angry and smug, "Now if you excuse me I'll be heading to the bus. You know the thing that's used to take us home."
Agreeing with Ronaldo, the kids followed him and headed to the bus. Kick watched them and sighed sadly. Everything he went through wasn't for nothing, but he was still angry that no one believed him. From behind, Kendall watched and felt like comforting him. Like Gunther, she believed him since she was in the main source of the trouble and witnesses everything that happened.
"Smoke Bomb!" In a cloud of dust, the Ninja stood on top of the bus. He looked down on everyone, keeping his eyes open for someone, "Did I hear someone say I wasn't real?" Everyone, other than Kick, was shock that they pointed at Ronaldo. Once the Ninja saw him, he cocked a smirk, "So you're the guy, huh? Then I'm sure you think this isn't real. Ninja Rings!"
Just as the Ninja shouted, he threw three ninja rings at him. Ronaldo cowered in fear, expecting them to hit him directly, but the Ninja had better plans. The rings flew straight at his pants, cutting it off and revealing his heart shaped underwear. The kids began to laugh and point at him, causing him to become embarrassed and run off.
Kick laughed along with everyone and stopped, wiping a tear. He looked up at the bus and saw the Ninja jumped off it, doing a flip. He landed right in front of him.
"Thanks, Ninja. Ronaldo deserved that." Kick chuckled.
"Yeah, I could tell." The Ninja replied, "Anyway, I heard you guys will be leaving, so I came to say goodbye. Maybe we'll meet again."
"Maybe, but until then…" Kick held out his hand for a handshake, "Goodbye, Ninja."
"Goodbye, Kick Buttowski." The Ninja said and accepted his hand shake.
Together both shook hands, knowing full well that they will meet again. They didn't know how, but there were different possibilities. Kick didn't know the Ninja's identity and respected him for that. Maybe, one day the Ninja might trust him and reveal his identity.

A few hours later, all the kids were in the bus. Ronaldo sat at the right, wearing a pink skirt since his pants were in shreds and there weren't any pants for him to wear. The other kids still snickered and laughed at him once in a while, making him more embarrassed.
Kick took a seat by himself, the reason being that Gunther wanted to seat next to Jackie. His best friend had first been reluctant, but Kick allowed him. Surprisingly, Jackie accepted him and both sat together. However, Kick sat alone and looked outside in boredom.
"Hey, can I sit here?" said a female voice.
Kick was slightly surprise, knowing the voice too well. He turned to his right and found Kendall. He didn't seem sure, but nodded, "Sure, but can I ask why? Is this because I saved your life?"
"Yes." Kendall frowned and sighed, taking a seat next to him, "But that's only the partial truth. It's just that I realized how close to dead I was when that lady possessed me and used me as she wished. You and that Ninja came and saved me and it made me realize that I shouldn't have insulted your stunts. If it weren't for them, you'll probably won't be the person you are today and I won't be here. So…can you forgive me?"
"Sure, I can." Kick smiled, "But don't make me regret it."
"Don't worry I won't." Kendall giggled.
The bus started and began heading out of Norrisville. Along the way, Kick and Kendall talked to each other and enjoyed the company, though they didn't admit it. It was a beginning of a great friendship or could be more if they admitted their feelings. But one thing for sure neither will they or the kids ever forget their time in Norrisville.

Meanwhile, the Sorcerer stood on his feet with his hands behind his back. He was in deep thought, but Minion couldn't see his face to determine his mood. To get his attention, Minion squeaked. The Sorcerer heard him and said, "Yes, I'm aware about today's chaos and it isn't surprising. Besides, didn't the Ninja come and stop her as his duty? Of course he did. The Ninja is a foe not to be underestimated."
Minion squeaked again, telling him more. The Sorcerer didn't turn back, but the sound of his voice was happier, "I don't expect you to understand so I'll elaborate. I knew Eris will be free and cause more chaos; so far it was exactly as I planned. Her chaos is almost similar to mine that I tasted it and it was sweet."
Suddenly, three of his green orbs, hovered down to his open hands. Unlike usual, the balls still retained their glow and only disappeared when Sorcerer crushed them. Some green stank from them entered his skin, satisfying him to turn back to Minion, revealing a mischievous grin on his face, "Everything is going according to plan."

So what do you think? Mind blowing wasn't it? There are a lot of questions from this chapter and they'll be revealed in future chapters. However, this revelations won't come soon yet, so you'll have to be patient. If you've read Kim's relationship with Heidi and this chapter with her in it, you'll get a hint of what's happening to Heidi.
Also, if you didn't understand the thing about Howard falling to the ground then I'll explain. Some of the people that were turned into goblins turned back to normal and plummet to the ground. Luckily, since this story isn't going for broken bones they'll survive though with minor injuries.
Chapter reference:
When Heidi bent backwards to avoid Bash's claw it was a reference to the movie Matrix.
Well that's all for now. I am MC aka Man of Cartoons and I would like to know your thoughts on this chapter. I'll accept some criticism but flames will be ignored and perhaps deleted. Until next time, stay awesome.
