Hi, everyone. This is the chapter you've been waiting for and I'm sure all of you are waiting to see who gets be Randy's girl. But just as a conscious note to everyone that the girl might or might not be Randy's future wife. I'm saying this because I have future plans that may lead to some awesome battles and events.
Now to the chapter.
Chapter 28: A month later.
Norrisville High stood nicely and well done whether it was close or far. It still looked the same as it did before the Sorcerer's attack. Previously, it had gotten destroyed when the Sorcerer returned but thanks to the Ninja's new power it was repaired back to how it was.
Randy and Howard stood at the front steps of the school. It had been a month since they went to school and that was before the Sorcerer finally broke free. The school had been repaired but the government thought it was best to close it down for a month just to make sure it was safe for students to return.
"Well…this is it." Randy smiled at the school with a mix of happiness and nervousness.
"Relax, Cunningham. I know it's been a bruce month with no school, but nothing has changed." Howard said to comfort him.
"Actually it has." Randy said, "The entire school knows my secret now and I don't know what to do."
Howard huffed, "Then why don't you consult with Yamamoto? She might know the answers."
"I think she's in school now, Howard."
"So you see now." Howard said and continued, "Yamamoto's secret is out but she still got the guts to go to school. Besides, while the month went away you noticed how everyone loved you."
"I guess you're right, Howard." Randy smiled with confidence, "Alright, let's do this."
The two best friends did their long bro hand shake before heading inside. Randy pushed the door open and both of them walked in. They came upon a normal noisy hall with students at their lockers and walking through the halls. But that all ended when all eyes fell on Randy and Howard, shutting the silence that once lived.
"Um…hi." Randy smiled sheepishly and raised a hand.
A clap came from the crowd and it revealed to be Bash Johnson who continued clapping. Not long everyone began to clap for Randy and soon cheering took place. Randy's awkward moment turned into a cheerful moment, especially for him and Howard as the students lifted them off the ground and carried them over their shoulders.
"You've done it, Cunningham!" Howard exclaimed, "We're finally famous."
"Actually, Howard, We did it." Randy admitted.
The two best friend fist pump each other as the students took them away. They carried them to Randy's locker and dropped them safely on the ground. He turned back to them and was about to address himself, but was interrupted by Heidi with her video helmet camera.
"What's up Norrisville High!" Heidi exclaimed and stood close to Randy, "I'm with you now standing next to the Ninja of Norrisville, Randy Cunningham!"
"Wait, did you just remember my name?" Randy asked quickly.
However, Heidi ignored him as she continued, "So, Randy, what do you want to say to everyone?"
Randy stared at the camera, but couldn't utter a word to say. Luckily, Howard interjected in.
"Cunningham will like to say that this semester will be the brucest semester ever!"
The entire school body cheered loudly with excitement. Randy turned to his friend and smiled at him. Howard nodded and gave him thumps up.
***************************************************************(LINE BREAK)************************************************
"This has been so bruce!"
Randy and Howard walked down the halls with big grins on their faces. Randy was the one that exclaimed the sentence earlier. The class periods had gone more smoothly for Randy and Howard.
"I can't believe classes were so smooth!" Randy exclaimed, "First, I passed Maths class even when I didn't know the answers, got a free class because of my status and now I'm going to the cafeteria to get the gravy fries I deserved since that Bash ninja incident."
"Yup. Everything is going nicely, Cunningham." Howard shared the same smile as his friend.
Randy was about to speak up, but stopped when he noticed a robo-ape run pass the corridor in front of them. That instant, Randy put up his game face and turned to Howard.
"It's Ninja-O'-Clock time." With that said, Randy ran off to the nearest boys' bathroom, ignoring Howard's calls to him.
It was that precise moment that Debbie Kang stood next to Howard, "Um, what is he doing?"
"He's going Ninja." Howard replied.
"But he does know we know his secret now, right?" Debbie asked and glance at him.
Howard thought about it before shrugging, "Eh, it must be force of habit."
******************************************************************(LINE BREAK)********************************************
"SMOKEBOMB!"
The Ninja appeared in a cloud of red dust. He stood before the robo-ape, cutting it off from going further, and drew out his sword as he got into a fighting stance.
"Alright, robo-ape, why did Mcfist send you?" The Ninja asked.
The robo-ape looked at the Ninja with a confused expression, "Viceroy just sent me to deliver these science equipments to Mrs. Driscoll."
To prove itself, the robo-ape got out a square box from its mechanical stomach as it opened. The Ninja rose what assumed to be a questioning eyebrow, but dropped his stance.
"Well that explains things…I guess." The Ninja sounded unsure. He then got his composure and step aside from the robo-ape, "Alright, you can go now. But don't cause any trouble around here, okay?"
The robo-ape nodded before walking off. But it stopped for a moment and turned back at the Ninja, "Hey, Ninja, if Mcfist is in jail then why would I cause trouble?" The Ninja flustered and tried to hide his expression, but the robo-ape only gave him a serious stare, "You forgot, didn't you?"
"What? No, I didn't." The Ninja lied.
The robo-ape gave him the same look before shrugging, "Whatever. See you around, Ninja."
The robo-ape then left down the corridor, leaving the Ninja to mutter to himself.
"I can't believe I just did that in front of a robo-ape." The Ninja said before shrugging it with a wide smile under his mask, "Well there's nothing that can be done now. Time to go get some gravy fries! SMOKE-"
The Ninja came to a halt as he heard Howard's voice calling him. He took the smoke bomb in his hand back into his suit and looked back to find his best friend running to him.
"Cunningham, what are you doing? We got reservation for ShangriLunch." Howard said urgently.
The Ninja was about to reply but a loud voice caught them off.
"FOR THE LAST TIME I'M NOT GOING OUT WITH ANY OF YOU!?"
"Kim?" Both boys said in unison.
Down the hall, a crowd of boys were gathered around Kim. Ever since her identity had been discovered boys has been asking her out and bothering her with stupid questions. It was at that very moment that Kim finally snapped from all of it.
Before the boys knew it, Kim sent consecutive punches to their weak points and they felt their muscles become useless. The boys couldn't stand anymore and fell to the ground that instant. Kim scoffed and walked on top of the fallen boy's stomach as she headed straight for Howard and the Ninja.
"Hey, boys." She smiled and waved at them.
"AHHH! Don't hurt me!" Howard screamed and ran the Ninja, "I got an all powerful ninja and I'm not afraid to use him."
The Ninja only looked back at his friend with a serious look that said 'Really?'. Kim just stared at Howard with a confused look before a sly smile took place as she realized why he was scared.
Kim confidently pushed the Ninja to the ground and said, "Boo!"
"AHHHH!" Howard screamed before running off.
Kim snickered and looked down to the Ninja on the ground, "Sorry, but I just have to go on before Howard realizes I won't block his chi like the other boys. Meet me at 1:00 pm, at the back of the school and on time."
After saying that, Kim sprinted away at the same direction as Howard. The Ninja only blinked before getting up from the ground and looking down the hall Kim chased Howard.
"Well I see everything is fine. SMOKEBOMB!"
With that said, the Ninja was gone in a cloud of red dust.
*******************************************(LINE BREAK)**************************
Randy sat down on ShangriLunch with a satisfied smile on his face. There was a small piece of gravy on his lips and a plate of finished gravy fries in front of him. The teen took a deep breath and smiled widely, "Finally."
At that moment, Howard walked to the seat across him with a grumpy look. Randy was about to welcome his friend, but he was interrupted when he spoke, "Just don't, Cunningham. Why didn't you tell me that Kim wasn't going to that –what it called?"
"Chi-Blocking."
"Right, that!" Howard said and gave him an accusing look.
"Relax, Howard. I couldn't tell you because you were already gone."
"But you're the Ninja!"
Randy's eyes went wide when that occurred to him. As the Ninja he would have easily caught up with Howard and told him that Kim was just playing. But now that he realized that he couldn't exactly tell him the main reason was to ensure that he didn't eat his gravy fries.
"I um…you see." Randy tried to think of a perfect lie. Luckily, he saw Heidi coming and pointed at her with an excited grin, "Hey look, Howard, you're sitting is coming to our seat. Wait, what?" Randy shook his head as he realized what he just said and was seeing.
Both boys watched as Heidi came to the table and sat close to Randy. The purple haired blushed a bit and tried to keep calm so nothing bad might happen.
"Um, Heidi, not that I want to be rude…" Howard said calmly, but chuckled afterwards, "who am I kidding? What are you doing here?!"
Heidi glances at her brother and swipe the hair on her shoulder to her back, "I came to see Randy, butts for brains. I have something to tell him…something."
"What is it?" Randy asked with a nervous look.
Heidi was about to say something, but then Theresa came up and sat at a seat at the right side of Randy.
"Hey, Randy, can I –HEIDI?" Theresa said, but then glared at Heidi.
"Hey…Theresa." Heidi said with a bit of awkwardness, "What are you doing here?"
"What does it look like?" Theresa narrowed her glare at the older teen.
Randy could feel the tension rising and quickly got up, "Wow, will you look at the time it's 1:00pm and I got to see Kim. SMOKEBOMB!" Randy shouted and threw a small red ball which exploded and created a dust cloud that covered him.
The girls coughed with irritation before looking back at Randy when the cloud cleared, but found he was gone.
"Wait, did he just do that without the Ninja suit?" Theresa asked a bit surprise.
"Forget that." Heidi coughed a bit, "It's not even 1 O' Clock yet."
********************************************************(LINE BREAK)*************************
Randy walked through the back door of the school building. It was a relief that he escaped the girls as he knew what they wanted to say. It was just that Randy didn't really know how to respond and tell the other that he loves her without breaking the other's heart.
But at the moment Randy pushed that aside as he walked to the field and found Kim standing there with her back at him. The wind was breezy that it pushed Kim's hair a bit to the right. In that way Randy realized how beautiful Kim was.
"You better not be falling in love with him." Kim said out of the sudden.
Randy realized what he just thought and shook his head to clear his mind. He halted and said straight away, "No, no I'm not. Besides, I'm having girl trouble and I don't know what to do. I can't ask an advice from you cuz you got only Ninja lessons for me." However, not long did Randy say it that Kim smacks him on the cheek, "Ow! Why did you do that?! And how did you move close that fast?!"
Randy was right about Kim stood directly in front of him. It was like time had frozen and she was able to move close at him. But the girl wasn't in a smiling mood and only seems offended.
"You know that's offensive! I'm a girl so I know this kind of things and also how I got close so fast isn't the problem here."
Randy relaxed and calm down as he rubbed his cheek, "Alright, but when you were the Nomicon you never gave me relationship advice."
"That's because it never occurred." Kim told him directly, "I'm an eight hundred year old girl and when I was the Nomicon some past Ninjas asked for relationship advice."
"And what was your advice?"
"Something I'm going to tell you now." Kim said and began to tell him, "When you find your heart taken by two love ones you must let the heart choose for you. But be warned. As the Ninja, relationships come with deadly surprises, something you'll experience in the nearest future."
"Nearest future? What does that mean?"
Kim only sighed softly, "Not everything will work out the way you want it to be, Randy. Things will change, but it is only you and the friends you will or have made that will make everything right again. I'll see you on the rooftop at the end of school. By then you've already made your choice."
Randy was about to ask what Kim meant, but she already walked away from her. He saw her walk to the school just the same time as Heidi was running straight to him.
"Randy, I have something to tell you!" Heidi shouted with an excited smile.
"What?" Randy asked.
"This!" Heidi ran to him and kissed him right on the lips. Randy was surprise about the whole thing that his eyes were wide to show it. Heidi easily noticed and pulled back, "Sorry about that, but the truth is that I love you, Randy Cunningham. I know I've been a total shoob and a jerk to you and my brother for a long time but that's the truth. I found out I always did since you that night you took the blame for the Grave Puncher incident."
Heidi looked to Randy's eyes, but there were still shocked. She took it that he didn't refuse and turned her head away with a frown, "You know what? Just forget it. I was just stupid to think you'll accept me after everything…"
Heidi was cut off as a kiss was placed on her lips. She became wide eyed by the sudden intrusion, but realized that it was Randy that was kissing her. She didn't expect it to happen, but she allowed herself to enjoy the moment as she closed her eyes and kissed back.
Both teens enjoyed the kiss and didn't let go. It was like a resolution of their love to each other and none of them wanted it to end. But eventually they stopped and looked at each other with pleasant smiles.
"Wow." Both teens said in unison with their eyes staring at each other.
They didn't say anything afterwards, but instead interlock their hands with each other and walked away. It was their special moment and they wanted to enjoy it from then on.
However, if they had looked behind a tree they would have noticed Theresa watching the whole thing. Earlier, she had come to meet Randy to tell him how much she loved him but felt nervous. She decided to stop by the tree to comfort herself before doing it. But when she turned back to see him she was heartbroken to find him and Heidi kissing each other.
"How could he do this? With Heidi?" Theresa muttered sadly. She felt tears coming down from her eyes and laid her back to the tree before sliding to the ground. She had her legs to her chest and continued, "I should have known he wouldn't accept me. I'm always shy to tell my feelings to him that now I've lost him."
"Don't say that, Theresa." Kim's voice came to her. Theresa felt a hand calmly place on her shoulder and looked up to see Kim standing behind her, "Even though it all seems lost you still need to be there for him. I know it will be hard for you to adjust to this, but it will get alright."
"How do you know?!" Theresa spat and nudged her shoulder, knocking Kim's hand off her.
Kim wasn't surprise about it and instead sat next to Theresa, "Back when I was thirteen a friend of mine and I liked a boy. He was fifteen and was the cutest boy that every girl wanted. My friend and I liked him, but that also caused rivalry between us. In the end, she got the guy and I didn't, but we managed to mend our friendship. What I'm trying to say is that just because you lose something doesn't mean it's all over. There's still a future and anything can happen from now so stop beating yourself."
Theresa sniffed a bit and wiped the tears from her eyes. She formed a small smile and looked back at Kim, "Thank you. I'm still sad about losing Randy, but I'm sure I'll get better…hopefully." She whispered the last part.
Kim heard Theresa's whisper but let it go as she helped her back to her feet. She then had Theresa look straight to her as she had a straight face, "Comfort is the first key to recovery. Just know everything will be alright if you make the last choices. When the moment of truth comes remember who you are."
"What do you mean?"
Kim sighed, "You'll know when the time comes. By the meantime I'll be leaving Norrisville soon."
"Why? If you go then what about Randy and who will be the Kunoichi?"
"Everything has been prepared for him and my time as the Kunoichi is over. But before I leave I've seen things that will take place in the future and thought I should avoid them before it's too late."
"What were they?"
Kim was about to respond, but a rustle in the leaves was heard. Both she and Kim looked to their right and found the Ninja standing. But while Theresa was confused, Kim shot a glare at him. The Ninja looked exactly the same but there was a bad vibe from his eyes and his body generally that was different. He was known as NomiRandy to Randy, but he has chosen the name of Jack Cunningham.
"Always with the riddles, ma." He snickered.
"Jack!" Kim scowled with anger, "What are you doing here?"
"Nothing that's known of your business!" Jack said.
Before Kim knew it, Jack did the air fist and shot it straight at her. The attack hit her at the chest and knocked her to a tree. Kim was knocked out that instant, leaving Theresa to defend for herself.
Jack formed a small smile under his mask as he looked back at the fallen Kim. It grew wider when he saw Theresa and took a step forward, "Now for you, babe."
Theresa shrieked and ran the opposite way, but Jack jumped over her and landed in front of her. Theresa came to a halt, scared about Jack's next move. The exact copy of the Ninja snickered and casually approached her. But with every step he took Theresa moved back from him. This kept going for a while before Theresa's back hit a wall.
The only thing Theresa could do was quiver as Jack came closer and stood before her. She tried to stop her shaking but the way he was looking at her like a hungry predator made it hard for her to do that.
"Wh-what do-do you wa-want from me?" Theresa asked.
"You." Jack replied.
However, before any conversation could take place Jack was knocked to the ground as an orange energy dragon hit him. He looked to the direction it came from and found Kim standing there in a battle stance.
"If you know what's good for you, you'll leave!"
Jack shot an angry glare and got to his feet. He didn't bother to attack but instead ran off into the woods until he couldn't be seen. Once Kim was sure he was gone, she walked to Theresa with a worried look.
"Are you okay? He didn't do anything to you, did he?"
Theresa was silent for a moment as she glanced at the direction Jack went. She heard Kim and knew she was worried so she answered, "Yeah…I'm fine. But if you can excuse me I'll like to head back to school."
"Oh okay." Kim said and step back. She knew something had happened while she was knocked out and had her guesses. She only hoped Theresa will be careful.
"Oh and thank you." Theresa said and walked away. But she stopped and looked back at Kim, "Are you sure you have to go? We'll miss you if you do. Other than Debbie you're the best friend I ever have."
"I'm sorry, but I have to." Kim frowned.
Theresa formed a small smile, "Well, good luck. I'll see you when you return."
"Okay."
From then, Theresa walked away with her own personal thought. Saying goodbye to Kim, finding out that Randy liked Heidi and meeting an evil version of Randy was way too much for her.
"I need to lie down." Theresa sighed.
**********************************************(LINE BREAK)*************************************
Norrisville High bell rang for the last time of the day. It meant school was over and soon students were walking out the front entrance. However, Randy was not among the students that went out. It was during this time that he remembered Kim wanted him to be at the top of the school for some reason he didn't know yet.
Randy decided to obey and made his way to the top of the school building. When he did he came to the special sight of three people he knew well. The first was Kim who stood at the center, facing him directly. The Messenger was sitting on a small vent almost at the edge of the school. S Ward smith stood at the right with his arms across his chest and an annoyed look.
"I'm not in trouble, am I?" Randy asked first.
"Of course not, unless you broke the Ninja sword again." S Ward Smith said and furrowed his eyes at Randy.
"I didn't break." Randy said too quickly.
The Messenger sighed as he placed his fingers on his nostril, "Smith, just leave the kid alone. We have better things to do so we might as well get this over with."
"What things?" Randy glance at Kim with a confuse look.
Kim took a step forward with an authority look, "The world knows you're the Ninja of Norrisville and as such I can't allow it to continue. However, we can't commence a worldwide mind wipe without dangerous effect so we're leaving things as the way it is. But be warned Randy. Now that everyone knows your identity things will get difficult, as the Ninja and as yourself."
"How can that be?" Randy asked with a proud smirk, "I defeated the Sorcerer and Mcfist is in jail so there's no problem."
Kim shook her head disappointedly, "Tell me, Randy, was Mcfist and the Sorcerer the only ones you battled during this Freshman year." Randy paused and thought about it before he shook his head. Kim continued, "Exactly. Just because you took down two mighty foes doesn't mean the pieces aren't alive. The battle with the Sorcerer has woken different events that you and your friends will face."
"But what about you?" Randy asked. He had a feeling Kim was keeping something from him.
Kim let out a sigh and frowned, "I'll be leaving Norrisville today."
"What?" Randy was shock, "Look, if this is about the whole fan boys getting on your nerves I can fix that. If you go then how will I learn more bruce Ninja skills. Who'll become the Kunoichi?"
"All has been prepared during my absence. I am sorry, Randy, but my duty here is over and I have to move on to take part in matters that needs my attention."
"Like what?"
"The Time war."
Randy wanted to speak again, but didn't know what to say. He knew what the time war was and knew it was a dangerous thing to take part in it. If such a war brought an evil Randy into existence then what more could it bring into existence?
Kim easily saw the sad look on his face, but made no use to stop it. She turned away from him and walked to S Ward Smith.
"I think it's time you get your sight." Kim said before the old man kneeled down to her size. She laid her hands on his sunglasses and a bright blue light flashed. Once it happened, she withdrew her hands. "Well. Did it work?" Kim looked at him hopefully.
"It worked." The swordsmith shrugged, "But I'm still keeping the sun glasses."
Kim wanted to say something, but decided to leave the matter to the sword smith himself. She turned away from him and walked to Randy.
"I know this is hard for you, but do not worry. Friends will be at your side and you'll reach greater heights that my brother could never reach. The Messenger will still be around if you need him and the Kunoichi I've chosen is a good choice. In fact I believe you met her alternate self."
"You mean?" Randy looked up hopefully to Kim.
"That's right." Kim nodded, already knowing who he wanted to say. She then embraced Randy in a hug and whispered with a small frown, "Goodbye, Randy. You were the best student I ever thought. Be safe."
With that said, Kim withdrew from Randy and walked backwards to the other men. She took out a small bomb and threw it to the ground.
"SMOKEBOMB!"
A dust cloud covered Kim, the Messenger and S Ward Smith. When it cleared they were all gone.
Randy sighed and smiled, "Goodbye, Kim." He had a moment to release the tension in a breath before the entrance to the top of the building was barge open and Howard came in.
"Randy, where are you? Bash is going to host a party and it's in honor of you, so hurry up!"
Randy turned to his friend and snickered before following him off from the top building. Though Kim's leaving was sad he shouldn't sink in to the sadness; that wasn't him. And if Kim was right then everything will turn out better or at least he hoped and thought it will be better. But that didn't concern him as right now was party time.
**************************************************************(LINE BREAK)*********************************
Now it's done. The story is somehow over if you exclude the next chapter, which is an epilogue. I'm sure some of you might be confuse about this chapter so I'll explain. After the Sorcerer was destroyed Mcfist was arrested before he could escape. Viceroy would have joined him but Randy stopped it with the assurance that Viceroy was good. Of course he only did it because Kim told him to. So from then on Viceroy took over Mcfist industries after Terry Mcfist heard about the arrest of Mcfist industries.
Also, if you've read this chapter then you know well that Kim won't feature in the sequel. Why you might ask? Well I have reasons which are below.
I don't have an idea role for Kim to play and I think she has enough appearance. I know some of you have grown to love Kim, but I've made my decision. She won't appear for 10 or 12 chapters in the sequel and when she does you'll love her return into the story.
I know some of this new changes aren't what you expect but I can assure you the result of it will be awesome. Have I proved you guys wrong? No, I haven't so trust me on this.
Here are some things I will say that will happen in the sequel.
Things that will take place in the sequel
Theresa will play a bigger role than she did in this story.
I will be accepting OCs from authors and other stories. The OCs from other stories will keep their background unless their background contradicts or is against the history of this story has made.
The Time war mentioned in the Randy Cunningham: Cross Time Adventure and in this chapter will be a second concept in the sequel. If it is possible I might make a sequel after that sequel to explore the Time war.
Randy and Heidi relationship will be explored of its possibility.
Viceroy won't be a villain.
A major antagonist, more dangerous than the Sorcerer, will appear.
And many more surprises will come in the next chapter. If you want to know more then PM me and I'll tell you.
(LINE BREAK)
Alright here's some other things you didn't know. The friend Kim was referring to is Past Heidi. She just chose not to tell her who it was because of the sensitive of matter.
Now that's over I have only one chapter/epilogue remaining and that will be the end of this story. Any other thing I will tell you will be in the next chapter. See you later, have a nice day and SMOKEBOMB *Disappears*
