Laying in Klaus' arms comforted her more than anything else could; his arms provided the warmth and protection she needed to feel safe within a house that was filled with Original Vampires that could so easily kill her. The previous night had provided much more danger than expected for her and Klaus and once the conflict had ended, Eliza had been very shaken up. It had taken a while for Klaus to calm her down in their shared room - across the hall from everybody else's - and in the end he had just held her while softly stroking her hair. However, once she was perfectly fine again, she kept her earlier promise to Klaus, meaning they hadn't had much sleep. Their night had instead been filled with pleasure that Eliza wished she had felt those 90 years ago as a human.

Looking under the covers, while Klaus still slept soundly, she saw that she wasn't wearing a single piece of clothing and her face flushed a red colour. This hadn't been her first time, but it felt like one while being with Klaus since it was so different yet much, much more right. There love for each other was so strong that it was complete perfection. Now feeling rather thirsty and not wanting to awaken Klaus, Eliza silently climbed her way out of Klaus' strong grip around her and threw a fresh outfit on, before heading out of the door and down into the kitchen where all the blood bags were. After making her way into the kitchen, she saw that she wasn't the only one who was thirsty; Rebekah and Elijah stood facing each other in the kitchen with scowls upon their face.

" Niklaus will not be pleased when he finds out what you attempted to do Rebekah," Elijah snapped at her in a low voice as Eliza approached the archway that lead into the kitchen.

" Oh lighten up Elijah. Mother would never allow me to be daggered again no matter how much Nik wants to. The doppelganger bitch killed me Elijah! I deserved my chance at revenge," Rebekah replied, her voice raised a lot louder than Elijah's collected tone.

" You went after Elena?" Eliza walked into the kitchen with a small frown on her face and both vampires turned to her. Elijah smiled softly as he saw her, however the scowl didn't leave Rebekah's expression.

" Well I had to get out of the house to do something since you and Nik were making so much noise last night," Rebekah said, a smirk forming on her face as she saw how embarrassed Eliza had now become.

" Oh..." Eliza said in a slightly flustered tone. " Umm..." She didn't really how to reply so, instead, she opened the fridge and grabbed a blood bag, quickly drinking from it.

" Elena was lucky I arrived in time, other wise I dare say the Salvatore brothers would be out for revenge. Our mother wants peace Rebekah which means not disrupting the lives of anyone else in this town!" Elijah responded, switching the topic of the conversation quickly as he knew that Eliza was extremely uncomfortable.

" Well then I will apologise to her tonight at the ball. Are you happy now Eliza?" Rebekah asked while rolling her eyes.

" Wait... What ball?" Eliza interrupted after she'd finished her blood bag.

" Mother decided to hold a ball for the whole town to attend so that we can 'introduce' our family to Mystic Falls and create peace with them," Elijah explained, his voice returning to his normal calm tone.

" Oh... I'm guessing its a black tie and ball gown event then?" Eliza asked and her mind wandered through her wardrobe, trying to picture if she had an appropriate dress for the event.

" Yes, which means we are going shopping for new dresses," Rebekah announced, smiling in a friendly way over at Eliza for the very first time since Eliza had seen her since the 1920's.

" Oh are we now? What happened to you wanting revenge and hating me?" Eliza asked with a small frown, glad that Rebekah was finally accepting what had happened and moving on. Hopefully they would become best friends again as Eliza had a strange tendency to lose them very easily.

" I got over it. We were best friends in the 20's so why not now? I dare say I've missed you Liza," Rebekah spoke softly and Eliza smiled broadly as she said this.

" I missed you too Bekah... well after I got my memories back of the 20's of course," Eliza said but they were both interrupted as an arrogant figure strutted into the room, his eyes gazing at Eliza hungrily. Now very uncomfortable, Eliza tried to hold back all the fear she felt when Kol entered the room. After what happened last night, she knew that she would never be able to get along with Kol because of what he'd said to her. He was the most likely out of them all to hurt her and because of this, she was very afraid of him.

" I see you took up another other last night dear Eliza. You broke my heart... But I'm always up for your apology tonight in my room after the ball," Kol said while smirking cockily, turning his full attention to Eliza.

" No thank you. I'll pass," Eliza stated firmly, but her voice was quieter and was laced with fear. Instantly, Kol detected this and his smirk grew wider. It was strange seeing Klaus' smirk plastered on Kol's face; they were the exact same but held a much different meaning. Eliza could never be afraid of Klaus' but Kol she would always fear.

" You'll be missing out on a lot of fun darling. I am ten times better than Nik in every way," Kol smiled flirtatiously and approached Eliza, his eyes boring into hers. A small shiver ran down her spine as she avoided Kol's hard gaze.

" Kol," Elijah warned in a low tone but Kol ignored him.

" So you've slept with Nik too?" Eliza replied sarcastically, glaring back at Kol. For a moment the smirk was wiped from his face as Rebekah laughed behind them both. But Kol instantly reacted by this by moving closer to Eliza who now had no escape from him since the back of her body was already touching the cream coloured wall. There bodies were now centimeters apart and Kol reached out to touch her cheek before, in a flash, he was forcefully pushed away from him. As Klaus' arm wrapped around her, Eliza again felt at home and at ease.

" Stay away from her," Klaus growled in a low, menacing voice and Kol swiftly picked himself up off of the floor and kept his eyes on Eliza's face. Possessively, Klaus placed a soft kiss on Eliza's forehead while keeping his eyes locked on Kol.

" I was only having a little fun brother, lighten up," Kol said with a smirk. " You have a very appealing girlfriend after all," Again, Klaus growled and Eliza felt his grip tighten around her waist.

" If I so much as see you talk to her again, I won't hesitate to plunge that dagger through your heart again!" Klaus threatened, but Kol only rolled his eyes at him.

" Again with the dagger threats Nik? Haven't you got anymore tricks? What are you? My father?" Kol replied jokingly but Klaus glared back at him, a look of hurt entering his eyes; obviously he hadn't seen it as a joke.

" No, but you're in my house which means you follow my rules," Klaus replied, his voice going slightly softer but not much. Eliza knew the last thing Klaus wanted was for his siblings to view him as being just like Mikael.

" Then perhaps we should go outside," Kol suggested, his eyes locking with Klaus daringly.

" That's enough boys. Me and Eliza have some dress shopping to do," Rebekah announced, glancing at Eliza who smiled at Rebekah, thankful to her for breaking up the two brothers small but possibly dangerous argument. However, before Eliza could walk over to Rebekah, Klaus grabbed her arm, stopping her in her tracks. Turning to him with a frown, Eliza looked up at Klaus with confused eyes only to see Klaus staring at each one of his siblings almost suspiciously.

" I already have a dress picked out for you upstairs Eliza. It was one that I had made for you in the 20's but I never had chance to surprise you with it," Klaus said to her but Eliza still stared at him with the same confused expression.

" That's... That's amazing, thank you," She said, smiling gratefully up at him for a second. " But I need to help Bekah pick out a dress anyway," While saying this, she tried walking towards Rebekah again but Klaus' soft but strong grip on her arm didn't loosen. " Why won't you let-" She began to ask but Elijah suddenly interrupted her.

" He's afraid one of us is going to harm you, Eliza," Elijah announced, his eyes narrowing slightly as he watched Klaus with an expressionless demeanor.

" What? Why?" Eliza questioned, turning to Klaus again suspiciously. For a moment Klaus didn't acknowledge her and he instead glared at Elijah.

" Don't worry Nik, me and Eliza are best friends again unless she decides to stab me in the back like that doppelganger bitch did, in which case then she would be dead," Rebekah said with a playful wink at Eliza.

" Well if you do remember, Rebekah, you weren't so forgiving a few months ago when you tried to kill her the minute you were out of your coffin," Klaus said, his voice not as angry any more but instead it was more snappy.

" They're not going to hurt me Nik... Maybe Kol might but Bekah and Elijah won't, I trust them," Eliza assured Klaus and this time he looked down at her, worriedly locking eyes with her for a moment. Protection was showing in his eyes and at that moment Eliza knew he was willing to kill anyone who dared even come close to her. Right now he was breaking the Mikealsons family only rule - family above all. But he didn't seem to care.

" Don't go judging me too quickly darling. Killing off a pretty face like you would be such a waste," Kol commented, his tone returning back to his bright and arrogant one. Again, Klaus threw a thunderous glare at him.

" They all want to get their revenge on me Eliza and by hurting you they do so," Klaus whispered in her ear, trying to keep the conversation between himself and Eliza, but he knew that the rest of the family heard what he'd said.

" Your mother wants your family to be together again so by hurting me they'll be breaking the rules. I'll be fine Nik, trust them," Eliza told him firmly, even though she too worried that his family would hurt her; well Rebekah, Kol and Finn could, definitely not Elijah.

" Eliza is very correct Niklaus. You were the one saying you wanted our family to be a whole again, yet you trust none of us," Elijah stated with his eyebrows raised while his eyes were set on Klaus in a challenging way.

" Well after last nights previous events where Kol planned to disgrace Eliza then kill her and you all planned to leave me, how do you expect me to trust any of you?" Klaus demanded heatedly, glancing at each of his siblings in return. Ever since he was younger Klaus had always been paranoid and his siblings knew this; he struggled greatly with trust and compassion. When he showed this rare side of him, he was the most loving and protective person you could meet. But when betrayed, he turned very demonic and refused to put his trust in anyone else for a long time. In many ways he was a broken soul never to be fixed.

" Be done with this!" Suddenly Esther entered the kitchen with a disapproving look upon her face. Each of the siblings fell into instant silence as Esther glared icily at each of them, her gaze lingering most on Klaus. It was plainly obvious that she had incredible power over them, yet it was still bewildering to see for Eliza. Never did she believe that the Originals or Klaus himself would be afraid of anybody. Considering they're the strongest creatures on earth it was strange to comprehend, however it just proved that everyone had their own fears. " Niklaus, a word please,"

" Go with Rebekah sweetheart and have fun. I can't wait to see you tonight in the dress I have prepared for you," Klaus whispered softly in Eliza's ear before pecking her swiftly on the cheek and reluctantly following his mother out of the room. Rolling her eyes again, Rebekah turned to Eliza with a cheerful smile and the two women linked arms, just like they use to in the twenties.

" We'll be back in a hour or so. Don't miss us too much," Rebekah said to her brothers, before leading Eliza out of the mansion and to the car.

After a very long, yet fun, shopping trip with Rebekah, Eliza returned back to her new home with only around an hour and a half to get herself ready. When she arrived back home she found that Klaus was very tense and had been awaiting her return since the minute she'd left. During the whole two hours that Eliza had been out with Rebekah, he'd been in the house pacing around or trying to occupy himself since his mind was worrying greatly about his one true love. Upon her arrival home she'd received a very passionate and relieved kiss before she'd had to pull herself away from Klaus to get ready. The only reason why he'd actually let her go was because he was excited to see her in the dress he'd had specifically made for her all those years ago.

When Eliza opened the dress in her and Klaus' room, she was stunned for a moment or two by the shear beauty of it. The level of intricacy and detail that had been put into it was practically dazzling and she knew that many women would be envious of the dress tonight. After she'd eagerly put it on, Eliza found that it fit her perfectly; hugging into the right places and falling nicely to her ankles. The dress itself was made entirely of deep blue material that brought out her unique oceon blue eyes; the short sleeves were made of satin, the torso part and skirt was made of silky material that sat perfectly on her body, not being too tight or loose, and finally there was a shiny diamond patterned belt fixed around the waist part of the dress and the shoulders.

The dress was the easiest part of getting ready - Though she took longer than necessary to admire it's beauty in the long mirror in the right corner of the room, diagonal to the king sized bed in the center. It was her hair that took the longest as since it was so thick it took an excessive amount of time to curl it to perfection. However, she was ready with ten minutes to spare after she'd put on her required amount of make up and completely finished her hair.

" You look very beautiful tonight Eliza. I never knew that Niklaus had great taste in dresses," Elijah's calm voice interrupted her and Eliza turned her attention away from the mirror she was currently looking into. A grateful smile formed on her face and she blushed slightly at his words.

" Thanks. I love the dress too, it's simply amazing," Eliza commented, for the third time looking down at the dress admiringly.

" I do think you are missing one piece of jewelry though," Elijah said softly, picking up Eliza's locket from the dresser on the left side of the room and approaching her almost cautiously. Now that Eliza looked at Elijah properly, she saw that he was too fully ready and was wearing a black tuxedo with a smart bow tie and in her opinion he actually looked quite dashing.

" How could I forget that? I practically never take it off. Do you mind putting it on for me?" Eliza asked and she noticed that something in Elijah's eyes seemed to light up as she said this.

" Of course," He replied instantly with a short smile, lightly brushing her hair away from her neck and carefully clasping the locket around her neck. The feeling of his warm breath on her neck and his close presence was strange to Eliza as she was only use to feeling Klaus this close. The feeling was very foreign and quite strange.

" Thanks," Eliza replied feeling slightly awkward. Once he had finished, she took a step away from him and turned back around the face Elijah.

" My mother wishes to speak to you alone tonight during the ball," Elijah suddenly announced after a very short silence between the two.

" Oh okay... why?" Eliza asked curiously, frowning.

" She wouldn't tell me when I asked. But I do hope you will tell me what happened afterwards as I still don't fully trust that my mothers intentions are what she says they are," Elijah said, causing Eliza's frown to deepen.

" Of course I will but what? Why would you think this?"

" Niklaus killed my mother a thousand years ago and until now she has done nothing but live on the other side and suffer watching what her children plagued upon the earth. She was never one to forgive easily and it was strange of her to forgive Niklaus the way she did. I fear that she is lying and that your's and Niklaus' lives will soon be in danger again," Elijah explained thoroughly, watching as a horror-stricken look formed on Eliza's face the more he spoke.

" What if she wants to kill Nik?" Eliza asked in a low voice, mostly speaking to herself. Worry was now glistening in her eyes as she realised how foolish it had been for her to trust Esther instantly - surely she should have learnt by now never to fully trust anyone straight away?

" Then we need to stop her from doing so. She also wishes to speak to Elena tonight as well, so would you speak to Elena and see if she'll tell you what's Esther spoke to her about?" Elijah asked.

" Of course I will. We both know I'll do anything to protect Nik," Eliza stated and Elijah looked down to the floor for a second in deep thought.

" Thank you Eliza. I'm sorry for your part in all of this again,"

" It's okay. I still haven't thanked you for protecting me the other night when Nik couldn't, you don't know how much that means to me. It's been a while since I've been able to trust anyone but Nik," Eliza thanked him gratefully, hesitantly approaching him and hugging him softly. Elijah seemed surprised for a moment before he quickly recovered and wrapped his arms around her too, hugging her back.

" I'm a man of my word," Elijah said in return, as Eliza pulled away from the hug smiling up at him. Finally Eliza had a brother-like figure she could trust again.
