Ashley

For Ashley that day wasn't normal either. She was constantly busy with preparations for the upcoming concert, talking with Yuki about plans to get Ichigo interested in her, and just as they were about to begin the final songs of the rehearsal the principal came on through the loudspeaker which was something he normally didn't do.

"Attention all staff and students," he said, his voice crackly as he spoke through the loudspeaker. "I have some important information to give to you all. I have recently gotten in contact with Koryou High School. If we have any students who wish to, there will be an exchange program between our schools. Some of their students wish to see how our school is and we are giving you the same opportunity to view how a traditional school environment looks like. If you are interested or have any questions, please come to the main office. That is all." Everyone stayed silent for a moment.

"Koryou High?" Ashley muttered. Yuki came up to her side.

"Do you know it, Ashley?" she asked. Ashley nodded her head.

"Yeah, it's where my friend Haley graduated from a few years ago. From what I've heard it's an average, ordinary school," Ashley said.

"Huh, I can understand why they would want to come here to visit, but why would anyone want to go there?" Yuki asked.

"Maybe some people want to know what a traditional and ordinary school looks like. I mean, let's face it. Our school isn't normal. We take almost two weeks off of classes just to get ready for a concert that everyone in the school is involved in in some way," Ichigo said approaching them.

"That's true. To be honest, I actually kind of want to see how that place runs," Ashley said. Yuki shook her head.

"Not me. I've heard that the gang called Ragnarok has people scouring the halls with the other students, and that they try to recruit anyone who even looks strong," Yuki said, crossing her arms. She shivered. "I don't want to be anywhere near a gang."

"Oh come on, what are the chances that we would run into that gang while we're there? I mean, we'll be surrounded by teachers and other students," Ashley said. Ichigo nodded.

"Yeah, and if the teachers there are anything like the ones we have here, we have nothing to worry about even if that gang is there," Ichigo said. They all glanced at the current teacher that was supervising while they worked. He had huge biceps, a six pack, and was faster than any student in the school including Ashley. Most of the male teachers were like that. It was one of the main reasons there was hardly any violence at their school.

Yuki sighed.

"I guess you have a point. So, are you two going to sign up for it?" Yuki asked. Ashley thought about it.

"Yeah, why not? It can't hurt," she said. Ichigo nodded and agreed.

"Okay, then I guess I'll sign up as well. I don't speak to anyone else and I don't want to be alone," Yuki said. They all nodded and agreed to go to the office after school.

"Excuse us?" Ashley said, leaning slightly on the counter.

"Oh, hello Miss Ashley, Miss Yuki, and Mister Ichigo. Did you three come to sign up for the exchange program?" the receptionist lady asked. They nodded and she gave them sheets of paper to fill out. "Get those signed by your parents and bring them back as soon as possible." Ashley looked down at the forms then back at the lady.

"Uh, what if we don't have parents and live at a dojo?" she asked.

"Then get it signed by your guardian or whoever is taking care of you," she said. Ashley nodded. They all left the office and went their separate ways, Yuki and Ichigo to the campus dorms and Ashley to the car that would take her home.
