Sakaki

He ran house after house, roof after roof, and all the while the wind ran through his hair. He could feel his rage growing bigger and bigger.

"Those bastards better hope I'm not the one to find them! If I do, things ain't gonna be pretty!" Sakaki raged. His ki roared all around him. "And where is that blasted dojo?"

He couldn't stand this! He needed to find Haley as soon as possible! But to do that, he needed to find her diary.

Sakaki jumped down from the roofs and began sprinting on the pavement. He ran like that for about ten more minutes. Then he skidded to a stop in front of the dojo he was looking for.

"So this is it?" he muttered. He knocked, entered, and was immediately greeted by one of Ashley and Allie's masters.

"Oh, Sakaki. It's you. What are you here for?" the master asked.

"Haley's missing and I need to find her diary. Where is her room?" Sakaki asked. The master blinked twice and just kept staring. Sakaki sighed. "Look, I know it sounds weird. But we don't have time for this! I need to find that diary!" Sakaki yelled. He ran from the master and jumped onto a roof. He looked around and found the building that looked like it was built for housing. "There it is!" He jumped down and ran over to the building. Upon entering it, he stopped dead in his tracks. He looked left and right and screamed.

"How do I tell which room is hers?" he ran his fingers back and forth through his hair in an aggravated and hurried manner. Then he shook his head. "I don't have time for this! I'll just try each one separately!"

"I wouldn't suggest that," the master from before said.

"Shut up! I need to find her room quickly!" Sakaki yelled. Then he opened the door to his immediate left and quickly ducked as shuriken were sent flying at his head.

"Like I said, I wouldn't suggest randomly checking rooms when the masters also sleep in this building," the master said. Sakaki growled and clenched his fist as he shakily and slowly raised it in front of his face.

"Then would you kindly tell me where her room is?" Sakaki said through clenched teeth, his back facing the matter. A shadow grew over Sakaki's eyes as he tried to get his ki down to a normal size.

"Second floor. Go all the way down the hallway, hers is the last door on the right," the master said. Sakaki nodded, jumped up and broke through the floor. He heard the master sigh as Sakaki was drenched from head to foot from the bursting pipes. Sakaki didn't pay much attention to the water, nor to what the master was muttering on the floor below him.

"Had I known you were just going to burst through the floor like an insane person, I would have warned you that the bathroom is right above us."

"Room on the right. Room on the right. Hang on Haley! I almost have your diary! As soon as we have it, we'll figure out where you are and save you!" He ran past a room that made him stop in his tracks. "What the hell?" It looked completely wrecked an didn't look like it could possibly belong to one of the girls. He walked into the room and his eyes widened when he saw the riddle on the wall. He reached out his hand and touched the wall it was written on. When he brought his hand back, he realized it was covered in blood.

"This isn't Haley's room," Sakaki whispered. He looked around and saw a backpack and school uniform in the hamper. "Ashley's the only in school right now, but she doesn't seem like the type to have this messed up a room." He looked back at the riddle and shook his head. "I'll tell the others about this when I get back to the dojo. Right now I need to find Haley's diary." He ran out of the room and further down the hallway. He passed another room but on his left labeled Allie's room. He kept running and yanked open the door to Haley's room. For a second he expected it to look just as bad as Ashley's room, but Haley's room was actually pretty clean and non-messed up. He shook his shoulders and walked into her room and opened the dresser.

"Uh, behind which drawer is that diary again?" he muttered. He scratched his head and shook his shoulders again. "I'll just try behind each drawer." He pulled out the first drawer and instantly regretted it. It was the dresser at the very top and its contents made the bulky, muscly, 100th dan martial artist fall to the ground and onto his butt. His cheeks and nose grew very red and he almost passed out from embarrassment. Several different colors of underwear came falling out of the drawer and onto the floor since Sakaki didn't control his strength and had accidentally pulled out the entire drawer. Some of the underwear floated onto his knees. His face grew redder and he scrambled to get them off of him. He held a hand to his hard beating heart, urging it to settle down.

"It's-it's just un-un-gah! No! Come on Sakaki! You need to not look at them and look for her diary! It's gotta be there somewhere!" he yelled at himself. He moved so he was sitting on his knees and hesitantly stared at the drawer that was on the floor. He gulped and the noise echoed throughout the entire room which seemed to only get smaller. "You can do this Sakaki!" He was just about to dig when Allie's instructions echoed in his head.

It's in her dresser behind her clothes that hang up…

Sakaki smacked his own forehead.

"It wasn't even in a drawer, so why did my dumbass even pull a drawer out?" Sakaki muttered. Then he stood up back up, grateful he didn't have to touch anything he didn't want to. He walked towards the dresser once more and moved aside Haley's clothes that were hanging up. Sure enough, there was the rope Allie mentioned. He pulled at it and it didn't budge. His eyebrows narrowed in confusion.

"Hey, you're supposed to move," he said to it. He tugged on it harder and harder and the damn thing wouldn't budge. "What the hell! Come ON!" he yelled. He placed a foot against one of the drawers and kept pulling on the string harder and harder with all his strength. After a while his grip slipped and he was sent flying, by his own strength, away from the dresser, across the room, and into Haley's mirror with a whoosh. The glass shattered and he sat in its wake. He growled again and stood up. He looked down at his arms and saw some large pieces of glass sticking out from them, with blood trickling down onto the hardwood floor. He blinked once at it, pulled out the shards, and just tossed them back onto the rest of what remained of Haley's mirror stand. Sakaki turned his focus back to the dresser wardrobe thing and glared.

"I will get that diary if it's the last thing I do! And no damn wardrobe is gonna stop me! Prepare yourself!" Sakaki yelled. He got into a stance and jumped at the wardrobe. He kicked it in several spots with his rapid kicks. The area around the white rope opened and Sakaki was forced into a defensive midair stance. Shuriken, bullets, and mini lead pointed arrows dashed at him and the sound of guns going off filled the air. He smirked and landed on his feet. "So you got some fight in ya huh? Okay, let's dance!" He ran at it and dodged everything. Was he got close enough, he punched the side and sent the whole thing flying through the wall, making it land outside with a crash. He looked out the whole he made with the thing and laughed at the wardrobe.

"Not so tough now are ya?" he yelled, crossing his arms. "Maybe next time you'll think before you try to take me on!" He laughed, throwing his head back and laughing to the heavens. Then a though occurred to him.

"Oh yeah, the diary!" he jumped down and landed next to the wardrobe. "Hand it over!" he said. He punched the area where the diary was and sent said diary out of the wood that was guarding it and out onto the ground, skidding to a stop about twenty feet away. Sakaki's smirk seemed to be permanently etched onto his face as he walked over to the diary and picked it up. "That wasn't so hard now, was it?" He looked at the lock, took it in-between his thumb and forefinger, and squeezed. Somehow it didn't budge and Sakaki tried again. A vein stressed against his forehead as he tried to break the damn lock. He threw the book to the ground and breathed heavily.

"What…the hell…is with…everything this chick owns? It's like she doesn't want to remember or be saved! What could have happened to make her build so many defenses?" he said in-between breaths. He sighed, kneeled down, and picked up the diary. He brushed off the dust that had rolled onto it, and took a deep breath.

"Focus Sakaki. You've gotta get this thing back to Ryozanpaku so they can open it. Brute strength won't work, but something's gotta," he whispered to himself. "We have to save her. I mean, we have to save Ashley too. But right now Haley's the one we have a lead on. And if Akisame's dream is true, then Kenichi's the only one who would know where she is." Sakaki stood up and ran off towards his home.

He arrived not half an hour later.

"I've got it! All we need to do now is unlock this bad boy!" Sakaki yelled. He sat down and gently placed the diary onto the table. Akisame nodded.

"Great job Sakaki! But why are you covered in blood?" Elder asked, raising an eyebrow. Sakaki looked down and the smirk that was still on his face grew bigger.

"Let's just say Haley's wardrobe and I had a disagreement. And that I won the fight!" Sakaki said. Allie sighed.

"You were supposed to gently pull on the string," Allie muttered.

"Gently isn't how I roll," Sakaki said.

"Yeah I can see that. But you're gonna save Haley, you gotta learn how to be gentle. At least to and for her," Allie said.

"Allie's got a point, Shio. If you only treat two things in life with gentleness and care, it's woman and children. If you want to protect Haley like you say you do, then you must take care in how you treat her. You want her to care for you, you show her to care for her. Remember, no one in this life is a mind reader, no matter how much so someone seems," Elder said. Sakaki blinked and wondered what the old man was talking about.

"How does how I treat her have to do with rescuing and saving her?" Sakaki asked.

"Rescuing her from that place is easy. Saving her from her pain and rescuing her from her past can possibly be one of the hardest things you will do in your life. You'll understand when the time is right, Shio." Sakaki looked at the floor and tried to think about what the Elder said. He didn't get to think about it long since Akisame got to work right away on the lock.

"Hmm, this does seem to be a very complex lock. Once we get Haley back I'll have to ask her where she got such an item," Akisame muttered.

"Do you think you can do it, Akisame?" Elder asked. Akisame nodded.

"It's very complex, but it's nothing I can't handle," Akisame said. He stayed hunched over that lock for a good hour. All the while Allie stayed by his side, watching him work. From time to time Akisame would look over at her, smile, whisper something that would make her smile again or occasionally laugh, then go back to his work.

Miu and Kenichi had gone off to practice some training method Kenichi was currently learning from Kensei. Kensei went to watch them and advise Kenichi. Apachai went with Shigure to practice holding back his strength. As for Sakaki, he just stayed there, thinking about what Elder said. What it could mean. Also what could be happening to her at this very moment? Whenever Sakaki thought about it, it made his blood boil.

"Don't you worry Haley. I'll get you out of there, wherever you are," Sakaki whispered.
