Chapter 31 (Saiya POV)

Instead of going home, I went to Kakashi's house to tell him the news. I knocked but there was no answer. I tried the doorknob and the windows but they were all locked. Typical. So I waited.

I jumped onto the roof, sat down, and waited…and waited…and waited…

The sound of a door slamming woke me up suddenly. I guess I had fallen asleep waiting for Kakashi. I dropped down and banged on his door. Almost instantly the door opened and there stood a very exhausted looking Kakashi.

"Is this a bad time Kakashi?" I asked quietly.

"Somewhat, which is why I'm glad you're here," Kakashi said pulling me into a hug.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" I asked quietly once we were both inside his house.

He held me close and whispered, "Sasuke left; Naruto, Shikamaru, Neji, Choji, and Kiba all went after him to bring him back but it was all in vain."

I stayed silent and held Kakashi; I knew how much he cared about his team, especially Sasuke and Naruto. I didn't know what to say to console him.

"Kakashi I'm sorry to hear that," I said soothingly and didn't let go of him.

"Well, no use in regretting the past," Kakashi said, pulling away and moved toward the couch. "What are you doing here? I know that you usually come here for a good reason."

I had a mini debate with myself if I should tell him right now or not, and I couldn't decide.

"Well, I have some news, and I'm not sure if it's considered good, or bad," I said, throwing caution into the wind and taking a seat next to him on the couch.

"Well, just spit it out and let us decide together alright?"

"Okay," I took a deep breath and took the plunge. "I'm pregnant."

His exposed eye grew wide, with an emotion that I could not place.

"Are you serious or are you pulling my leg right now?" Kakashi spoke after a moment of shock.

"I'm serious Kakashi; you're going to be a father," I responded quietly.

He pulled me into a passionate kiss, which took me completely by surprise and when we broke apart, he laid his hand on my belly.

"I'm going to be a daddy," he whispered with happiness.

I was taken aback by his reaction; but I guess it was to be expected. We're in love; but it's only been a couple months that he and I have been in a relationship. Were we ready to have a baby?

"What's wrong Saiya?" Kakashi asked, and looked at me with a fearful look on his face. "You…you don't want to keep the baby do you?"

"It's not that Kakashi," I insisted. "It's just, on my way over here, I thought of every negative scenario and your reaction just now was the complete opposite."

"Oh? Negative you say? Are you really that doubtful of me?" Kakashi mused.

"No! I've just…heard lots of bad stories from when I worked at the bar…" I mumbled somewhat incoherently. "And I heard it from the men's point of view as well; how much they complained and how much they didn't want their kids."

"Well, I am not that sort of man," Kakashi said and pulled me into a hug. "I will be there for our child and for you."

"Oh Kakashi," I hugged him tightly.

We sat like that for a few moments before Kakashi started to fret.

"What are we going to do?" he said quickly. "You can't go on missions while you're pregnant. Something can happen to the baby. Will it be a boy or a girl? We need to find a name."

"Whoa whoa Kakashi, slow down, one step at a time," I smiled lightly.

"Oh, yes you are right. I am missing one vital point in all of this," he smiled big.

He got off the couch and onto one knee. "Saiya, be my wife, and stay with me forever?"

He took my right hand and slipped a ring onto it. It was a simple gold band.

"Yes, yes I will stay with you forever as your wife," I said happily, tears of joy falling down my face.

He came close to me and wiped my tears away, "Saiya, why are you crying?"

I sniffled. "I never thought this would happen to me. I'm just so happy."

He just pulled me into a hug. I felt like I was dreaming. The man I loved had just proposed to me and I was carrying his child.

"Well, now that's out of the way; the ceremony!" Kakashi said. "Big or small?"

"Jeez, someone's excited," I smiled and stuck my tongue out at him.

"And you shouldn't be up! You should be resting!" Kakashi pestered me.

"It's only been a month sweetie," I rolled my eyes.

"And I'll go get your clothes and other important belongings so you can move in immediately," Kakashi continued as if he hadn't heard me.

I just smiled at his eagerness. He looked so cute running around, cleaning up and fawning over me.

"Saiya, let's get married right now," Kakashi said suddenly. "Just me, you and our close friends."

"Oh! You mean, at this very moment?" I said surprised.

"Why not?" Kakashi shrugged.

"It's just…I'd love to have Zina witness our marriage, can we wait a week?" I pleaded. "If she doesn't show up then we can go to the civil office and get married officially."

He thought about it for a moment and then nodded, "Anything for you sweetie. As long as she can keep it quiet. I don't want our child to get caught up in any of this."

I nodded in agreement.

"Kakashi, I have to tell you something," I said suddenly.

"What is it Saiya?" Kakashi sat back down next to me.

"I figured, if we're getting married, you should know about my past," I said quietly and shifted uncomfortably.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to Saiya," Kakashi said quietly. "Like I said before: the past is the past. We can't change it but we can learn from it."

"Well, I just thought, that, I know all about you, so you have the right to know all about me," I said in a small voice.

"Why are you telling me now? Why not before?" he asked curiously.

"I was scared," I said quietly.

"You don't have to be scared anymore Saiya," Kakashi said and pulled me close. "Tell me everything sweetie, and no matter what it was, I will be right here."

A/N: OMG ENGAGED! LOL I haven't read my own story in a really long time. I got so many ideas going on in my head right now too. I don't think I'll have enough time to write them all down .
