Chapter 40 (Saiya's POV)

I raised my arms, like a puppeteer right before the start of his show. Ropes of fire snaked along the ground in the direction my arms were pointing. Orochimaru watched with horror and excitement as the ropes began to wrap around him.

"Oh yes, I can feel your anger; let it out," he hissed as the fire burned his flesh.

In an instant, I was standing in front of him and whispered into his ear, "Oh I will, but you won't be around to see it."

I snapped his neck in a split second then whirled around to face the rest of the enemy ninjas in my way. I felt my power increasing; a little voice in the back of my head told me to calm down, but I didn't listen. I unleashed a power that I had no idea existed within me.

I dropped Orochimaru's body and Kabuto appeared out of nowhere in front of his troops.

"You're outnumbered," he said, smiling enigmatically.

"Those maggots mean nothing to me," I said darkly, an evil smile spreading across my face. "You're my main concern."

I raised my right arm and the ropes of flame shot out toward him. Kabuto dodged easily but the ropes followed. My eyes never left him. The other ninja tried to get close or threw shuriken and kunai, but my left hand deflected the attacks seamlessly.

Adrenaline and power pumped through my veins, and soon I got tired of the running. I let the fire create claws on my hands and I ran through him. I jabbed toward his heart but he dodged, using his medical jutsus to prevent any damage. His glowing blue hand touched mine and I could feel pain run through my right arm.

"Your tendons and ligaments are severed, no hands for you," Kabuto smirked.

"Pussy; aren't you going to fight like a real man?" I taunted him.

We went back and forth; I dodged his hands and he dodged mine. His hands had the ability to sever my internal organs, and mine had the ability to cook flesh, well done. I pulled a kunai out and went for his neck. He stopped the kunai with one hand and with the other; his hand went straight to my solar plexus.

I looked down and saw his hand inside my body and I felt one of my lungs filling slowly with blood.

"Wrong move doctor," my voice gurgled slightly.

From behind me, a clone of mine popped out of the ground and was making hand signs.

"Fire wave jutsu!"

A wave of fire erupted and came toward Kabuto and me. I held onto his hand that was still in my body.

"Death will take you, and I'll be your guide," I smiled eerily as his eyes widened with fear.

The fire tickled my skin; I was immune. I watched as Kabuto burned to death in front of me, his screams of agony filling the room.

The only thought that crossed my mind once he had died, was that I was glad Ayome didn't have to see any of that.
