Chapter 13

Forgotten Feelings

One thing Natsume love about coffee shops is the silence. Silence has been his sanctuary since his mother died. He learned to love silence and listen to his own thoughts whenever his too fed up on smoking and he wants to relax and just flow on the river of thoughts. And today, as his hands wrapped on his Starbucks Venti cup, he slowly and discreetly drank his second coffee for this morning.

He wanted to get away from all the troubles he have been facing these past few days so he decided to skip work today. After finding out everything last night, Natsume couldn't just face Mikan without trying to confront her so she could spill the beans and answer all his questions. So as Starbucks as the closest coffee shop on the condominium, he decided to spend the day here.

"Look who we have here."

And of course, someone just had to destroy the peacefulness. Looking up isn't necessary since he knows who owns the too cheery voice but he decided to look up and glared at the person he haven't seen for months. "Anna." He acknowledge the pink-haired woman in front of her who was carrying a Starbucks cup on her hand and smiling widely on him.

"Hi! Long-time no see, eh?" she winked and giggled cutely.

Natsume has no time for some hyped up girl so he rolled his eyes in annoyance and said. "I prayed for peace. Guess today's the opposite day."

Anna cutely pouted. "Natsume, you meanie." She teased then grabbed the chair in front of Natsume and invited herself in Natsume's own circle. "So I see you're alone and looking for an inner peace. Where's your brunette wife?" she innocently asked.

And by just hearing the question, Natsume already knew what Anna's up to. "If you're here for gossip, get lost." He murmured then took a sip on his coffee.

"Nah, I was just wondering why you're alone. The last time I saw you're like leech, stuck to each other." She shrugged then also took a sip on her coffee.

Natsume just glared at her then ignored her reply. He kept drinking his coffee when he started to feel Anna's stares to him. He snapped his head on her direction and said. "Stop looking."

"Oh, sorry." She chuckled inwardly. "It's been awhile since I last saw you and you quite changed." She said as she eyed Natsume carefully and when he raised his brow to her in annoyance she grinned. "But then something's don't change, I see you're still the same easily annoyed, grumpy Natsume Hyuuga."

"And you're still the annoying nosy Anna." He spat but got amused when he received a laugh from her but he just shrugged.

She flashed her a grin and asked. "So, are you working now? Back to the workaholic guy? Or still on the little marriage life with Mikan?"

"Why are you so nosy?" He said. "I'm working. And I want peace. And you're not peace."

A chuckled was heard from her. "So you never broke up with your workaholic side. How about Mikan?"

"Why don't you call her and interview her about her life, huh?" he snapped and glared at her.

"Hmm. I smell some lover's quarrel. Marriage life is a tough one, eh?" she joked then winked to Natsume.

"You know what if you're going to get piss me off—"

"Oh my god." Anna cut her off as she looked at the doorway with a little smirk on her face. "Speaking of the devil." She added.

Natsume glared at her then followed where she was looking. And of course, that was the sign that today is not the day for some freakin' peace. There was Mikan, looking as gorgeous always with her fitted plaid dress and clad with a blazer, entering the coffee shop. But what's the big deal? Some Familiar idiot guy is following her.

Anna's face lightened up more and looked at Natsume. "Oh, she didn't see us." She said after she saw Mikan went to the counter to order. "You know what let's just say hi—"

"Anna, don't you dare—"

"Mikan!" she called with her cheery piercing voice. "Hi! Right here!" she raised her hand and waved it so Mikan could see it. She watched as Mikan turned around and scanned the place, trying to look who called her name. "Here, here Mikan!" she shouted again. And she tried to stop herself from smiling evilly, when she saw Mikan's reaction when she saw Natsume with her. Her happy smile turned in to a frown and slowly her hazel eyes turned soft and a pang of pain can be clearly seen on it.

But immediately the frown turned upside down and she waved back at them. "Hi Anna. Natsume."

"Come here!" Anna invited. "Invite your friend here." She looked at Natsume and whispered. "Ooh, that guy is a hottie!"

"Anna, stop."

"What?"

"Stop it." His crimson eyes glared at her as he tried to look cold as hell. "Stop whatever you're doing."

Anna blinked twice and started to look innocently. "What? I don't know what you're saying—"

"Hi!" An awkward familiar voice said. They both looked up at a brunette and a guy who was standing behind her. "Hi. You're both…here." She said.

"Oh! Hi!" Anna said happily. She stood up and hugged Mikan making Mikan quite surprised with the action then she let go of her. She reached for Tsubasa's hand and shook it. "Hi. I'm Anna." The she winked at him flirty.

"Hi… I guess?" Tsubasa replied unsurely.

When she stopped shaking Tsubasa's hand, she sat back to her seat and grinned happily. "You know what let's—"

"Anna, you were just leaving right?" Natsume icily said.

The grin was gone and she looked stunned on what Natsume just said. "Excuse me?"

"Yes, you can be excused since you told me that you were leaving." Natsume cooly said. "Goodbye now."

Anna looked at Natsume then to Mikan and Tsubasa who was looking confused. Trying to hide the humiliation, she smiled and stood up. "Right. I was just leaving. Right. So…" she grabbed her purse and her coffee. "See you around." Then she immediately darted away but before she left, she had once last glance at them then smiled evilly.

When Anna left, awkward silence started to envelop the three of them. Natsume who was looking at Mikan, Mikan who was looking back at Natsume and Tsubasa who was giving each of them curious glances. And it was Tsubasa who broke the silence. He cleared his throat, almost making Natsume and Mikan jumped in surprise. "So, I think Mikan and I have to go too since we still have a meeting in a few." Tsubasa said.

Natsume's eyes found Tsubasa and he showed me a small annoyed look then he shrugged. "See ya."

"Bye, Natsume." Tsubasa said then turned around and started to walk away but when he realized Mikan wasn't following him, he stopped on his tracks and looked back at Mikan who was still standing there. "Mikan?"

"Y-yes?" she stammered. And when she realized that she was already looking like an idiot, standing there, waiting for Natsume to make her stay and talk, she shook her head and immediately walked towards Tsubasa. She didn't look back and followed Tsubasa out of the Starbucks.

When he was already alone, Natsume revealed his annoyed and angry expression. He grunted before taking a sip. He just wanted a peace, just for today, just to let himself think as he will try to figure everything out but what he got was an awkward reunion for him and Mikan. He shook the thought and continued drinking his coffee when his phone buzzed. Immediately, he put his coffee down and checked the text message.

Ruka: Sup? Where r u?

Natsume: Sbucks. Just had a mini meeting with your sister, the inked bastard and the annoying Anna. U?

Ruka: Lol. Life's mocking you. 'Nway, mom called. Dinner at our house tonight. 7pm

Natsume: Can't say no, right?

Ruka: Corz, you know my mom. See you

He slid his phone back to his pocket and smirked. Guess Yuka's not giving up on them, eh?

"Mikan."

"Huh?" Mikan dumbly responded as she looked at Tsubasa with confuse face. "Were you saying something?" she asked.

Tsubasa chuckled lowly on Mikan's obvious lack of interest on their conversation. Ever since they go into his car, Mikan didn't talk nor respond to any of Tsubasa's attempt of small talk. She was just on her seat, clenching the coffee cup almost tight and wandering on her world of thoughts. "I asked you, who was that Anna back there?"

"Oh." She said then looked away. "She was a friend of Ruka and Natsume back in college."

"And? They seem close?" Tsubasa said with a teasing tone.

"I'm not really close to Anna and I have no idea how close the friendship they had with her…" she answered as she remembered the feeling of seeing Natsume spending some time with a girl. Jealousy is never Mikan's real deal but she just hate the fact that he is hanging out with some girl. What was she thinking? She's hanging out with Tsubasa, which is an ex-lover, and she's grumbling now because Natsume hanged out with a colleague.

"You seemed affected." Another tease from Tsubasa.

Mikan knew what Tsubasa's doing. He'll try to know what Mikan thinks about seeing Natsume hanging out with some girl because he wants to know if she's jealous or not and if she'll assure him that she's not affected then he'll has his assurance about her and Natsume drifting apart. She's not dumb. Mikan knows Tsubasa's slowly flirting with her. Slowly trying to get in to the picture, taking advantage of her situation with Natsume. Of all the people, Mikan knows Tsubasa's styles. And even if she try to ignore it, it annoys her. To hell.

"I'm not." She shrugged, trying to avoid the conversation.

"Well, why the long face?" he tease while chuckling on his own joke. "You know what, I never thought you'd be a jealous girl once you're married—"

"I said I am not affected! And most of all I am not jealous!" she shouted as Tsubasa finally got on her last nerve. Her brown eyes stared at him angrily and she looked damn right pissed.

Tsubasa didn't look at Mikan but he knew well he had hit the nerve. So his goofy face turned in to a guilty one and simply said. "Sorry."

Mikan just simply shrugged and didn't bother to respond. She doesn't know what got in to her for shouting at Tsubasa. She's used to Tsubasa being a guy who teases her a lot and she had adjusted with his attitude a long time ago but right now, she just couldn't understand why she got pissed. Maybe she was guilty? No, that's ridiculous. Mikan can be all the things in the world but a jealous wife? Na-uh. She'll never be one.

Though she wanted to grab Anna's bubblegum hair when she had been flipping it to Natsume's face as she tried to keep his attention to her. And she thought of scratching the teasing smile on her face when she talked to Natsume after seeing her. And she has been thinking of how to punch her right in the face, slice her throat until no cheery voice could ever be hear from her mouth. And when she saw how pleased Anna was seeing Mikan and Tsubasa at the same coffee shop with them, she wanted to grab her hair and bang her fucking face on the wooden table, again and again.

Okay, maybe she was just pissed.

Or fine. Maybe she was just a bit jealous.

"Ugh," she grunted earning a worried glance from Tsubasa but Mikan paid no mind and she slowly clenched her fist, feeling the emotion she had never felt before. She hate this. She wanted to scream and punch something and to remove this damn emotion on her head, her body and her whole being.

Why was she even jealous? She herself is even going out with Tsubasa but she sneered discreetly. Tsubasa might be looking for a chance to patch things up with her but she is completely feeling the opposite of it. She's hanging out with Tsubasa because first, she needs to because they're working together and second, he's an old friend. And Anna, it's crystal clear that she had the intentions of stealing Natsume away from her.

And even if Mikan wanted not to think of this one, but at the back of head, she promised herself she'll give that bitch a good fight.

"Mikan." Tsubasa's voice suddenly popped making her almost jump in her seat. He watched Mikan with as she tried to composer herself. "We're here."

She didn't realized that they were already in the car park of the building. Was she really that bothered about everything? She shrugged and smiled a little to Tsubasa. "Okay. Thank you." And when the doors were unlocked, she opened the door and went out of the car. Once out, she closed the door gently and watched Tsubasa locked the car's door and walked away. She was quite surprise when he didn't wait for her. "Tsubasa!" she called him.

He turned around and looked at her. "Mikan?"

She stepped closer to him and flashed him an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry about how I reacted. I was just not really on the mood and…" she trailed off as she hoped to see a smile on Tsubasa's face. "I'm just sorry about my attitude."

He inched himself to Mikan and flashed her a boyish grin. "It's okay, Mikan. I understand."

And her eyes lit up, "Really?"

"Yeah. But you owe me lunch." He teased and winked at her.

Mikan chuckled and Tsubasa also laughed but their laughter died when Mikan's phone rang. She opened her bag and checked her phone. "It's Hotaru." She looked up at him and smiled. "I'll just answer this call. See you inside?"

He nodded and turned around. "See ya."

Mikan watched Tsubasa for a while as he leaves then she answered Hotaru's call. "Hello? I miss you!" she beamed.

"Don't be clingy. I didn't call you for that." Hotaru's voice was monotonous, as always.

She pouted as what her best friend said on other line. "Aw, you meanie. Then why did you call for?"

"Ruka asked me to tell you there will be a dinner tonight in your house, 7pm—"

"Why am I invited in a dinner at my house? That's ridiculous—"

"Natsume will be there. And me too. And Aoi." And when her best friend knew Mikan didn't say anything, she couldn't help but smirk on the other line. "So you lost your tongue, now?"

A grunt was heard from Mikan and said. "Do I really have to go?"

"I don't really care if you're there but you know how your mom cares about everything." Hotaru answered.

"Whatever." Mikan said. 'See you later, then." She said and hung up the phone. Her eyes glared at her phone as she realized she will be having dinner with Natsume…after weeks she'll be facing him while eating and it feels ridiculously…great. And she shook her head with that thought, of course it'll be very, very awkward. Everyone will act like nothing's wrong when in fact everything's not on the right track right now.

Would he speak to her or will he ignore her? Will this be the right time to talk to him? Maybe. But she doesn't want anything to happen with this supposed to be civil dinner. She sighed. Guess she'll have to act like everything's fine and nothing's wrong. She let out another frustrated sigh and put her phone back to her bag and started to walk back inside the building.

"Mikan."

She froze.

"Mikan."

She doesn't need to turn around. She'll never forget that voice. Without turning around, she whispered to herself. "Please don't be Mochou."

"It's me." And the voice who was just calling him a while ago was now on her back and she could actually feel his breath on her nape that she tried to stop shivering with the familiar's cold voice.

And she turned around and her brown eyes widen in fear. She was right. It was him. "What—what are you doing here?" she asked in fear. She stepped backward but her hand was caught on his tight grip. "Let go of me." She said.

"I see you every day, Mikan. Seeing you with Hyuuga, looking happy with him and now spending time with Andou." His eyes were locked on her brown eyes as he continued. "And I hate myself because I was supposed to be with you. I only deserve you—"

"Are you insane?" Mikan snapped. Her afraid brown eyes turned in to an angry one. "You ruined my life. You took advantage of me, you asshole! And you left me! I was almost dead when someone found me—"

"They were looking for me! Tracking me down!" Mochou now started shouting making Mikan's heart pound in anger and fear. "What do you expect me to do? I was afraid. I don't know what to do." His hands reach for Mikan's face and he held it tight and neared her face to his. "I'm still in love with you. And I want you—"

"Get off me!" she spat with disgust. Her hands grabbed his and pushed him away from her. "You disgust, me don't you know that? And you even have the nerve to say all those things! I was dying, you left me and my life has been so fuck up because of you!" she shouted angrily. "I don't know why you are here or why are you following me but you better fucking leave or I will call the police!"

"But—"

"Mikan, are you okay?" And then just like an angel, Tsubasa was walking towards Mikan with confuse expression. "Who are you talking to?"

Mikan's eyes widen as she turned around and face Tsubasa. "Tsu-Tsubasa!" she stuttered his name.

"Are you okay?" he asked. His eyes eyed her carefully. "You look like you saw someone who scared the shit out of you."

And when Tsubasa was near to her, she turned her body around and Mochou was gone. She couldn't believe what she just saw. It was Mochou—standing in front of her, holding her arms, her face and he was talking to her, admitting something to her and it feels surreal. The last time she saw him on Anna's party, she felt all the emotions she had forgotten. The fear and the pain. It all came back and now… the anger she forgot, came back too.

"Mikan! Hey." Tsubasa said as he touched her shoulder.

Mikan almost jumped in surprise when she felt Tsubasa's touch. Her body turned to face him and tried to flash him the most convincible smile. "I'm okay. Let's go back. We still have a meeting." She said as she grabbed Tsubasa's hand and without looking back, they went inside the building.

It was almost seven in the evening when Mikan glanced at her wrist watch. She knew she need to fix her things now since she'll be having dinner soon but she still felt bothered about what just happened to her today. She'd been trying to bury herself with loads of work just to try to forget seeing Mochou, hearing his voice… the regret in his voice. Everything started to bother her. And it just won't bugged her. Her insides twitched as she could still feel again his cold hands on her face and the sound of his voice as he tells her the feeling he never forgotten.

No, she didn't feel any happiness seeing him or hearing him say those words. Ever after everything, she still couldn't forget the nightmare of what happened.

"Hey."

And for the nth time of the day, Mikan jumped in surprise as she heard a voice on her doorway. She looked up and her brown eyes was now lock on a crimson eyes. "Natsume." She gently said his name. "Can I help you?"

Without moving from his current position, he replied. "Your mom called. She wanted us to drive together."

"Of course." Mikan immediately said. "I'll just fix my things." She stood up and started to fix the papers and folders on her table, looking unaffected even if she could actually feel the stares of Natsume. She closed her laptop and put it on her bag as she reminded herself to calm down and ignore Natsume as he watched her carefully and intensely. And when she was done, she looked at him and smiled. "Done. Let's go?"

Natsume didn't response. He gave her one more look and turned around to walk away. Mikan stood there, feeling dumbfounded. One minute, he was looking at her like he needed something from her and now he's just leaving her behind. But she just shook her head and thought maybe she deserve the cold treatment from Natsume after all.

The drive to the Sakura's was the longest trip Mikan thought she ever had. It was silent and very awkward. Mikan tried not to give Natsume a glance but she couldn't stop looking at him with her peripheral vision but Natsume looked calm and stoic. He was emotionless, just like he was before. She didn't know if he's okay with this or not. And it's killing her. Mikan had tried not to sigh in frustration but she's going to explode sooner if she'll continue acting that she's okay.

But she's good at hiding her feelings, why does this feel like different from the usual? She couldn't help but let out a grunt on her mouth and when she realized what she just did, she covered her mouth and gave a quick glance to Natsume. But he just kept driving like she is not even beside him!

Sooner or later, she needed to say something so she took a deep breath and opened her mouth. "So, why do you think we're having a dinner?"

Natsume looked at her for a while like she said something different then focused back on driving. "I don't know. No idea." He simply respond.

"You think the dinner's a big deal?" she tried to start a conversation.

"No." Was the only response she got.

"Why? I mean—"

"What are you doing?" Natsume asked. They were already near the house. One block away. And he needed to stop since the stoplight became red. And when Mikan started to give him a confuse look, he raise on of his eyebrow. "Are you starting a conversation with me?"

"I…Is that something wrong to do?" she asked as her heart started to pound. Maybe talking to him was a wrong move after all. "I just wanted to be, you know, civil."

"Civil?" he scoffed. He looked away once the green light was on and continued driving. And as he drove, he said. "Don't be ridiculous, Polka."

"I'm not being ridiculous!" she snapped and glared at Natsume. Okay, it's confirmed. Talking to him was a very wrong move. She crossed her arms under her chest and looked away. "Whatever."

Natsume was about to open his mouth but just shrugged the idea of responding. This isn't the kind of conversation he wanted to have with her after weeks. And even if he tries to convince himself that he needs to push the anger away, he still couldn't forget it. Mikan lied to her. And it's almost weeks since everything, and she hasn't swallow her pride and tell him everything.

Once they arrived in the mansion, Mikan stepped out of the car immediately and walked inside the house without waiting for Natsume. He just decided to ignore Mikan's attitude and followed her after parking his car. And when the door opened and he walked inside, he started to look confuse when he saw Mikan just standing in front the dining room, without moving. So he approached her and followed where her surprise hazel eyes were looking.

"Natsume, Mikan. Finally. I got to see my favourite married couple." A very familiar manly voice said.

Of course. It was his father's.

No one spoke after his father did. His crimson eyes didn't look happy as he looked at him. Jinno Hyuuga. His brown hair started to be replace with white one. And he looked older than the last time Natsume saw him. If you'd look at him and Natsume and Aoi, you'll never guess that he was their father. They were never the same in the physical appearance. Aoi and Natsume inherited their mother's look. But if you'll ask what Natsume inherited to him? His cold attitude.

Aoi who was seating beside Yuka cleared her throat. "Wow, Natsume and Mikan. Glad you came. Come, sit." She joyfully said as she tried to ease the little tension between her father and her little brother. She, too, was pissed seeing her damn father tonight but she knows how to deal him without getting on her nerves.

Mikan stood their looking quite confuse at the man who was sitting on his father's left side (since Yuka was on Narumi's right side). But when she felt Natsume's hand on her back, she looked up then tried to flash the most convincing smile ever. "Of course." She said and they both sat on the reserved seat for the both of them.

Yuka immediately cleared her throat to avoid any awkward silence and said. "Well, Mikan." She looked at her daughter then to Jinno. "This is Jinno Hyuuga, Natsume's father. I'm sure you're not quite familiar of him but you have met him back when you were little."

Jinno didn't show any emotions as he said. "The last time I saw you were so little. I'm happy to know you've grown to a lovely young lady. And smart too."

Mikan blushed a little on what Jinno said as she smiled. "Thank you, sir. I'm sorry I couldn't remember—"

"No it's okay." He cut her off. "No need to be sorry."

Narumi smiled while saying. "Well, Jinno won't be staying long here in Japan since he only visited for a meeting tomorrow. So, we'll be informing you what we planned already."

Ruka started to look confuse. "Plans about what?"

Yuka who almost beamed in glee, answered. "Well, we wanted Mikan and Natsume to have a formal church wedding since we know they were young since they had the ceremony. We want to make this a real formal wedding and I'm sure Kaoru also wanted this so we thought that maybe—"

"Woah, woah." Mikan cut her mom off. "Excuse me? Church Wedding?"

Yuka nodded with a bright smile on her face. "Yes! You heard it right, darling. We've plan it already and we are all excited how it will—"

"I hate to disappoint you but there will be no church wedding." Mikan firmly said. Her eyes looked angry and serious as she eyed her mom, then her father then Mr. Jinno who looked surprise on what she just said.

"Mikan." Narumi immediately said. "What are you saying?"

All eyes were on Mikan but she ignored the stares. She cleared her throats. "Planning our future is already crossing the line. Planning our church wedding? That's too much. And whatever plans you're having, I'm not really interested about it and it won't happen at all." She put her napkin down the table and stood up.

But before she could leave, Yuka stood up and eyed Mikan firmly. "Mikan, sit down."

"No." she spat making Yuka gasped. "You've been controlling my life. And this time, I'm going to control mine." And she turned around to walk away. She didn't look back or say anything else. She just continued walking until she was already outside their house. And she continued walking until she was now out of their gate and away from their house.

She needed air and a damn enough space. Her parents are too much of controlling her and deciding what is good for her life. She's been allowing them to treat her like a child but this time, they had crossed more than the line and she'll be stopping them. Even if her mother will be angry to her, even if her father will be disappointed of her attitude. She doesn't give a damn.

She'd been trying to be the Mikan they want and now she'll be the Mikan that she has been hiding.

"I didn't know you smoke."

She turned around with a surprise expression on her face and looked at Natsume, hands in his pockets as he approached her. "What are you doing here?" Her back faced him as she took a puff.

Natsume didn't respond. Instead, he stood beside her, took a cigarette on his pocket and started smoking too. "That was quite show."

She eyed Natsume as she watched him smoke. "It feels good standing for yourself."

He let out a low chuckle. "I'm guessing you're not happy with the church wedding?"

She looked up at him and then she shook her head. "Nope. Are you?"

He didn't answer her because deep inside he was hoping she'll say yes she was happy about marrying him and deep down Natsume wanted to marry Mikan too. So he stayed silent and continued smoking.

Mikan didn't want any awkward silence so she tried to have a civil conversation. "Didn't know you smoke."

"There are some things that you don't know about me, Polka." Then he looked down at her and said. "The same way you hide your secrets to me."

She knew where this conversation going and she just had enough for today. Seeing Natsume with Anna, seeing Mochou and finding out about the church wedding? It's just too much. So she took one last puff and threw her cigarette on the ground. "I'm going home." Then she turned around to walk away but Natsume grabbed her arm. "What?" she murmured.

"Why are you avoiding this?" His deep voice sounded serious.

Mikan removed Natsume's hand on her arm and faced him. "Me? Avoiding this?" She let out a sarcastic laugh and continued. "Excuse me, you've been giving me cold treatments since the fight. You called me a whore before letting me explain everything. And I wanted to have a civil conversation with you and you thought it was ridiculous!"

"Because it was!" Natsume snapped. "Everything you do about this situation is ridiculous. You kept secrets from me! And you want me to act like nothing happened? Damn, you don't know how I despise you with that ex-boyfriend of yours like you're not having issues with me!" He pointed his index finger to himself as he shouted to her face. "You're fucking husband!"

Her hands were placed on her hips and she shouted back. 'Why do you make a big deal with this marriage things? I was not prepared for this! And—"

"Not prepared for this? Another lie huh?" He took a step closer to her and said. "If you think you're good in keeping secrets, I guess I'm good at finding those kept secrets."

Mikan's angry face turned in to a shock one and the guilt spread all over her face. "What-what do you mean?" But before Natsume could open his mouth to say something, she looked away from his piercing crimson eyes and said. "You know what, this is pure bullshit." Then she turned around to walk away.

"So you're just walking away?" Natsume called.

She stopped on her tracks and without looking she said. "If you really despise me, then why do you keep fighting for me?"

And there she heard Natsume say. "Because I love you."

She turned to face him with a shock expression. Her mouth hung open, staring at Natsume in disbelief. "What?" she managed to say.

And before she knew, Natsume's lips came crashing to hers. And she gasped in surprise, letting Natsume explore her mouth. They kissed for all the times they wasted avoiding each other. They kissed for the times they missed each other. They kissed for the frustration and for the anger.

But even if Mikan wanted to savour the kiss, Natsume pulled away and locked his eyes to hers. "I'm going to wait. Until you're ready to tell everything." And he walked away.

Mikan stood there, still in state of shock. Her hand reached for her lips…

And the forgotten feelings started to come running back.
