Chapter 17: Cleaning Day
Alaena's P.O.V
"Make sure this base is cleaned from top to bottom. If you don't."
"You'll make us know pain."
"Precisely. Get to work." Those were the last words Raeden, Ashley, Cobi and I heard from Pein before he shut his doors in our faces. Raeden dropped her broom and folded her arms, with no expression on her face at all. Ashley just glared bullets at the door. Cobi already started cleaning singing "Dontcha wish your boyfriend was hot. like. me~ Dontcha wish boyfriend was a freak~ like me~" ...I just sighed.
"Raeden aren't you going to clean too?" I asked, but I already knew the answer.
"Lets rewind to the first chapter. I said: 'I'm not cleaning shit.' Sounds familiar Laeni ?" Oh yeah...Laeni is pronounced 'Lay-nee'... just so you know
"Well how about we come back to this time period. You have to clean wench." Cobi said.
"Well how about we fast forward to when I shove this broom up your a-"
"Lets just get this over with." Ashley said cutting Raeden off.
"Well lets start with the kitchen." I suggested, which they agreed to.
"'Kay. Cobi, you wash the dishes. Rae, you rinse them. Laeni, you dry them and I'll put them up." Ashley stated actually willing to work.
We were half way finished cleaning the dishes. It was actually smooth sailing. That was, until, Cobi got bored and started singing. To let you lovely readers know. Cob. Is. A. Terrible. Singer. He make's Ice JJ Fish sound like a winner of American Idol. And what a coincidence, Cobi decided to sing 'On The floor' by Ice JJ Fish.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP Cobi!" Ashley shouted putting up a few dishes.
"She said she wants to take it slow~
I'm not that type of guy, I'll let you know~
When I see that red light all I know is go~
So baby girl lets get up on the floor~"
Cobi sang ignoring her, while Raeden was in a fit of laughter.
"Why does it sound like theres a dying seal in here, un?"
"I can tolerate that more than Cobi's singing." Ashley replied to Deidara.
"Oh God...he's terrible." Deidara said while getting a bottle of water out of the fridge. "She finds humor in this torture?" Deidara asked me, pointing at a laughing Raeden.
"...Yup..." I answered
"Hopefully I don't hear him in my room." Deidara said walking out while drinking his water.
"Hopefully we don't go deaf." I said to myself.
"Hopefully I don't kill him before we do." Ashley said through her teeth. Cobi then picked up a hand full of bubbles, walked over to Ashley and blew the whole thing in her face. She pushed him into the counter causing him to fall down. He picked himself up. Raeden was just laughing at the scene until Cobi got a hand full of bubble again in his hand, intended for Ashley. HOWEVER, he turned around so quickly he accidentally slapped Raeden in the face with it.
Raeden then picked up the sink hose spraying the water in Cobi's face. Ashley had resumed putting up the dishes, but she accidentally slipped on the floor because of the water, causing the dishes in her hand to fall and shater. She growled, got up and charged at Raeden. But before those two could battle it out, Konan walked in on us.
"*sigh* Maybe you guys should start picking up those shards of glass before Kakuzu or Pein has a fit." Konan suggested before leaving. Taking her advice we all started helping clean up the glass. But finally we fished the kitchen.
We cleaned the living room, dining room, the basement, the cells, a million bathrooms, our rooms, Peins office, the utility closet, the-THE CLEANING PRODUCTS, e-ve-ry-thing. Now we were finally done. I swear, as soon as we completed our task we were each took a shower for about an hour. Now we were in the living room sprawled on the couches. Yes it was a gigantic living room. Even more so when you're cleaning it.
"You four look bushed as hell." Kisame said as he sat down.
"That' s what my arms feels like right now." Cobi said. Kisame just laughed.
"I never had to clean that much in my life and your's put together." I said voicing my opinion on the harsh manual labour we received
"Hm." Itachi said walking into the living room and taking a seat next to Ashley.
"Does he usually make you guys do this?" Ashley asked,
"No...He usually just hires a maid." Kisame said. We all gasped...
" I feel so used." Raeden said while frowning.
"Tch." Ashley said looking very pissed.
"I see you're finally done, un." Deidara said walking in with Sasori. We all replied with a 'hm" while Deidara sat next to Raeden and Sasori sat next to me.
"Done with what?" Sasori asked.
"Cleaning the whole base and beyond." Ashley answered.
"So you are finished." Pein said while he stood in the entrance of the living room.
"Did you really had to do that to us?" Raeden asked,
"No." Pein answered,
"Then why~!" Cobi said throwing his self at Peins feet.
"What the hell?" Raeden said looking at Cobi as if he was insane.
"Before you four first showed up, Kakuzu suggested we have house slaves to save money. Then you four appeared...so I decided to put you four to work." Pein said.
"Eh, sounds legit." Ashley said resting her head on her hand.
"I think you should just get some house slave, that aren't us, and call it a day." Raeden said,
"Our we can start a cleaning schedule." Konan suggested.
"What?" The other Akatsuki said raising their eyebrows to her suggestion.
"I'm pretty sure if we let them continue cleaning for us, we'll have nothing to eat our food off of but cardboard." Konan added,
"You might have a point..." Pein said placing his hand under his chin as if he was thinking on it.
The Akatsuki started to disagree until Pein said: "We are having a cleaning schedule...End of story." This caused the other Akatsuki members to grumble to themselves, while Raeden Ashley and Cobi laughed mockingly. Thank you Konan...Thank you.
