Chapter 18: Burn
Raeden's P.O.V
"Wake up."
"No. " I answered to Deidara while I stuffed my face in my pillow.
"If you just answered me that means your already awake, un." Deidara replied to me.
"Not necessarily."
"...What?"
"I could just be that damn awesome." I said before I drifted back to sleep. I just heard him 'humph' and before I knew it, I was wincing to the sudden weight on my body. "Get off of me!" I managed to say in slight pain lifting my head off the pillow.
"No." He said folding his arms and smirking.
"I''m gonna give all your clay to random monkeys if you don't get off of me, you pyromaniac, son of a bitch." I said slightly laughing, yet serious. He laughed then placed more of his weight on me. I cringed before laughing even more. Yes I am some what a masochist.
"Uh, why are you sitting on my cousin?" Ashley said walking into the room.
"Because I enjoy it, un." Deidara answered her, "And it seems she enjoys it too." He said smirking at her."
"No I'm not!" I said defending myself.
"... Anyway, I just wanted to tell you its time for breakfast. But feel free to miss it, more food for the rest of us." Ashley said before walking back out the door. Deidara then got off of me. I sat up letting my long, white, bed hair fall over my eyes.
"I don't know about you, but I'm not missing out on breakfast, un." Deidara said heading for the door.
"Hopefully I won't miss out on it either if I can tame this mane in time." I said touching my hair and thinking of how stressful fixing it is going to be. "Why'd you want to wake me up this morning anyway? We weren't suppose to be going on a mission today." I stated showing a piercing stare through my hair. Yes, I was indeed angry about him waking me up.
"Because I felt like it, un." He replied giving back the same piercing stare. "Oh and, your jacked up hair is kind of attractive like that, un." Deidara said smirking before he exited the room. I then through my self back onto the bed before looking at to right.
"Cobi...Cobs..." I said looking over to Cobi's sleeping body. His body was sprawled on the bed with half of his body off the mattress. "Cobi?" I got up, walked over to my shoes, then through it at him. He didn't budge. Why was I trying so hard to wake him up? Well just to let you know, he's more of a jack ass hungry, then when he's woken up early...just saying. I then walked over to him. I stared at his face for a second. He looked the same...but yet a lot like Sasori. I tried to figure out why that is but I just slapped him.
"Cabbage- What!?" He said pitching up looking around in confused.
"Get up for breakfast." I said putting my hair in in a ponytail and brushing it.
"Who's got breakfast duty today?" Cobi asked,
"Kakuzu I think."
"...I would of rather you let me sleep in..."
Breakfast was horrible. That's pretty usual on the days Kakuzu's responsible for breakfast. It's not that he can't cook...its more because he found out that 'close to stale' items are cheaper... We did eat however, 'cause we knew better than to waste the food.
I went outside by myself today. I laid down by a small brook listening to music. Song after song, I just watched the clouds drift by. I pitched up when I heard foot steps, and before I knew it I felt a light thud to the back of my head.
"You again?" I said annoyingly to Deidara. He just smirked and invited himself to sit next to me.
"What are you listening to?"
"Wake me up." Okayyyy, before you ask, let me tell you that we have been living with the Akatsuki for about 3 weeks now, so yes they have gotten accustomed to our music, slang, laziness and/or stupidity.
"That sounded Ironic doesn't it." He said tilting his head to the side.
"Yeah, it must be a sign." I stated sarcastically.
"Put on 'Burn' ."Deidara suggested.
"No."
"Just put it on, un."
"Why?" Okay, to be honest 'Burn' by Ellie Goulding is my favorite song, but I didn't want him think he could instruct me like such.
"I like it." He replied reaching for my phone.
"No." I said leaning on my left elbow while stretching my right arm out with my phone. Casually, he reached over me for my phone trying to grasp it.
"Why do you like that song so much?" I asked. He grabbed the cell phone out of my hand,
"Guess." He said sarcastically while scrolling through my music. I just rolled my eyes. "And I know it's your favorite song, un."
"Wait how?"
"You play it about 9 times a day. I caught you dancing to it on numerous occasions. Also, you don't seem to mind singing it when your in the shower. Nice voice by the way, un."
"Why thank you." I said in an old fashioned acsent.
"Not as nice as mine, however, un." He said. I raised my eyebrow.
"That's what you think." I said smirking.
"Oh really?"
"Play the instrumental so we can find out"
"Alright." He said. Smirking, he clicked play, and I started the song.
Me: "We, we don't have to worry 'bout nothing

(Deidara then joined in with a great alto backing me up, creating an awesome harmony. I had to grin. )

(To be honest, I was kind of impressed to her him sing. His voice was really smooth, masculine and ...did I mention awesome. )

And what we see is everybody's on the floor acting crazy, getting loco 'til the lights out

(We entwined our fingers with each other's playfully, still singing. I started dancing, while still sitting up. He laughed, but even so, while singing, he started mimicking me, moving to the beat aswell.)

"I'm with you on that one." Cobi replied to Alaena's comment. I looked at them before I looked at Sasori who raised an eyebrow.
I stood up dusting the grass off my outfit. I heard Deidara sigh, before I heard him stand up.
"Not that I really care, but, I saw a monkey...eating some of your clay outside today." Sasori said to Deidara.
"What?! How did a damn monkey get my-" Deidara said before he glared at me remembering what I said this morning.I just sheepishly smiled before I walked back slowly. I waved then sprinted towards the base laughing psychotically, while he ran after me smirking evilly.
I could get use to this.
