Anyway, for the sake of a guest review, I'm giving another clue as to what will happen, or is the main subject of this fanfic? Eh, whatever. Anyway, here you go! A tiny prick might seem like something oh-so-normal, but be warned! That underestimated prick might bring doom to your friends and family. Alright, it may seem the same as the first one but it does give a more specific and detailed clue. :D Huh? Huh? Not buying it? Okay. Kai's P.O.V.
I hate getting captured. I hate that I'm tied up in a chair in the middle of an empty room underground. I groaned. Couldn't they just lock me in a cell so I had higher chances of escape? If that weren't the case, they could have at least let me roam around in my own cell rather than to be stuck in a chair with ropes tying around my-
"Wait, ropes?" I mentally slapped myself. These are ropes! Boring, but flammable ropes! If I was just thinking straight, instead of complaining (which is what I do a lot), I could've burned them down sooner! I sighed. For now, just focus your energy and…..
"Yes!" I exclaimed. The ropes restricting my hands burned, and after a second or two, were reduced to ashes. I untied the ropes restricting my feet and almost jumped for joy...That is, until I saw a serpent, rather Venomari get inside the room. His jaw dropped, and I smiled.
"Surprised, lizard breath?" I taunted. He growled and charged at me. I smirked. Time to get back at those serpent freaks. Before he could even say anything, I used my Spinjitzu to knock him out. It only took 5 seconds before he was lying flat on his back, unconscious. I rolled my eyes. Snakes these days. You'd think that they'd put up more of a fight.
I got out of the room ASAP and locked him inside the room. There was no point of restraining him further if I wasn't going to stay here for long.
Then, something clicked inside my head. Isn't Lloyd here too? I groaned. I debated with myself whether or not I should go back to save the little brat. Finally, my conscience got the better of me. I searched every corner, trying to find Lloyd's cage.
I opened a plain brown door. I instantly regretted that decision. I screamed at the top of my lungs as I saw the horrors inside the room. Turns out this room was a bathroom, and a certain Hypnobrai general was bathing in it. My mind went blank as I saw how disgusting Skales was without his skin.
"Close the door ninja! Give some respect!" He demanded, and I was happy to comply. I shuddered. Hasn't Skales ever heard of locking the door? I did just that so he would not escape...and so that no other poor soul (whether snake or human, I don't care) will ever experience the horrors I went through. I shook my head. Focus, I scolded myself.
If I could just find the little brat-
"Help!" I blinked. Well, that was very convenient.
"Lloyd?!" I shouted, but there was no response. Great. Playing hard to get here, brat? I ran to where I thought the cry of help came from, and I quickly saw a room whose door was open. I looked inside to see Lloyd trapped inside a cage. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"You sure are in a tight situation there. Do you need any help?" I said and walked towards him cautiously. I watched out for any snakes that might be nearby.
"Kai, look, I-"
"Yeah, yeah, no need to worry, I'll get you out of here in a sec." I said, hoping that I could still use my elemental power to melt the bars.
"No, listen! It's a..." A Constrictai came put of nowhere and locked me in his arms...That sounded weird. Anyway, he had a little friend with him too, a Fangpyre. I groaned. Being captured twice in a row by a Constrictai was not cool.
"I told you he would come here eventually, you bumbling idiot! You should have gone faster!" The Fangpyre scolded, glaring at the Constrictai.
"Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry. Just...don't point that whip at me again!" The Constrictai pleaded. The Fangpyre rolled his eyes.
"Pathetic." He muttered. He then turned to me and smirked. "I'm glad to finally meet the famous fire ninja." I glared at him.
"The honor's all mine. I always wanted to meet another dumb Fangpyre." I said sarcastically. He seemed unaffected by my insult.
"You look terribly thin." He said, a malicious gleam in his eyes. I couldn't help it, but I suddenly became anxious. The look on his face was even creepier than the other Serpentine I'd met. "Would you care for a quick bite?" Before I could comprehend what he meant, he lashed out at me, baring his fangs. I struggled pointlessly before he sank his fangs into my neck. Pretty cliché, if you ask me, but the bite wasn't so.
It was extremely painful.
I couldn't help but scream in agony. I barely noticed that the Constrictai let me go. My vision was getting blurry. I squinted my eyes, but I could barely see. My head throbbed painfully. Pretty soon, I wasn't sure I would be able to handle the pain any longer. No matter how much I tried to focus, the pain always found its way back. My vision went black, as I passed out.
Lloyd's P.O.V.
"What just happened?!" I exclaimed. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I bit him, that's what happened, you little pest." I glared at the Fangpyre. I can see that. Just because I'm a kid doesn't mean that I'm stupid.
"I mean, why did Kai seems so much in pain?" I asked, crossing my arms. "I remembered that when a Fangpyre bit Jay's parents, they didn't seem like they were in pain. They screamed, yeah, but not because they felt pain, but because they were scared of what the Fangpyres might do to them." I explained. The Fangpyre just smirked at me.
Plus, I added silently. The Fangpyre general said that their bites were just like an injection. It was painful, but as soon as the Fangpyre's teeth pulled away from the person's skin, they should be fine.
"So why was Kai in so much pain?!" I asked again, but the Fangpyre just ignored me. Great, I'm being ignored yet again because I'm younger.
"We have to get him back to Skales, before the other ninja show up." The Fangpyre said. I gasped. He can't just go ahead and take him! If he does, then that was one less person I could prank when I get back to the Bounty!
And because I feel a little guilty that he's the one who saved me, but I couldn't save him back... A small part of me added.
"Uh, wait! You can't take him!" I exclaimed, kinda annoyed how pathetic I sounded. I was really desperate to grab their attention. The Constrictai smirked, looking amused. A small flame of hatred just lit up inside me.
"Oh yeah kid? What are you gonna do about it?" The Constrictai asked me, he lowered himself down to my eye level. The small flame of hatred extinguished. I was suddenly nervous. I didn't really think that part through yet.
"Uh...uh..." I stuttered. In a desperate attempt to hurt the stupid snake, I pinched his nose. I bit back a laugh when I saw how red it became. He became Rudolph the Red-Nosed Serpent! I burst into laughter when I imagined him pulling Santa Pythor's slay along with other serpentine. I stopped laughing though, when I heard a click. The cage door was unlocked, and the Constrictai looked angry.
"You laughing at me, kid?" He growled...or hissed, whatever. He grabbed me and started shaking me out of anger. I frowned. I feel woozy.
"Oh, you short-tempered idiot!" I heard the Fangpyre exclaim. He hit the Constrictai with a whip, making him let go of me.
"Ow!" He whined. I smiled.
"Gee, thanks-"
"Don't think you're off the hook yet, brat." The Fangpyre said and slowly walked over to me. I gulped and tried doing a fighting pose. The Fangpyre just swat my hands away and grabbed me by my shirt. He looked really angry and scary...but then I heard someone very familiar.
"Alright, put the brat down!" It was Cole! And he called me a brat?! The nerve of that ninja!
"Hey!"
Cole's P.O.V.
Once we entered the City of Ouroboros, Zane said he heard some noise ahead, so we followed him. When we were close, I heard Lloyd's voice. I widened my eyes and ran faster. I arrived to see a Fangpyre grabbing Lloyd by the collar of his shirt. I sighed in annoyance.
"Alright, put the brat down!" I shouted at the Fangpyre. Both the Fangpyre and Lloyd had their attention on me. At first, Lloyd looked relieved to see me. Then it took a second for Lloyd to process what I said, before his face showed his annoyance.
"Hey!" I just ignored him. I used my Spinjitzu and headed towards the Fangpyre. I punched him a few times in the face, making him let go of Lloyd in the process. I did a 45 degree kick on him, and he was knocked out nstantly. Weak. When I came back to the others, I saw the Samurai checking if Kai still had a pulse.
"He's still alive." He said. I wasn't really sure, but I think I heard him sigh in relief. Did the Samurai really care for Kai?
"What has happened to him?" Zane asked Lloyd. He frowned.
"He got bitten by the Fangpyre..."
"What?!" The samurai exclaimed. All of us looked at him with weirded out expressions. "Sorry, go on with the story." Lloyd continued with his story. He explained that Kai's reaction to the bite was overdramatic, since Jay's parents didn't faint after they got bitten. Jay laughed nervously.
"Well, Kai does tend to act overdramatic sometimes." He joked, but nobody laughed. I rolled my eyes. Typical Jay to make jokes in serious times like these.
"His capture must have reduced his energy. He did go through a lot." The Samurai suggested. I couldn't disagree with him. After all, he was the one who experienced Kai's capture, not me.
"Then we should send him back home. The sooner he rests, the better." I said. The others nodded. Jay suddenly frowned.
"What is it Jay?" I asked, my musles tensing. Was there another serpent here?
"It's nothing. It's just..." He trailed off, staring intently at Kai. I followed his stare. My eyes widened. "I think he's waking up."
