A/N I feel like I haven't given Isaac any time so I decided to write a chapter all about him and I hope you guys enjoy it.

Flashback

Isaac laid awake in his bed staring up at the ceiling. In it was pitch black in the room and 3:32 in the morning. His parents had been arguing for the past three hours. His mother accused his father of cheating and his father calling his mother paranoid. His sighed and ran his hand over his face before getting out of his bed. He cracked open his door and looked down the hall where his parents bedroom was. The door was closed but light was on. He crept pass their door and went downstairs to the kitchen to get something to drink. His stomach growled when he opened the fridge to find it almost empty. He grabbed a can of soda from the bottom and the door. Pulling back the chair he sat and opened the coke. He could still hear his parents shouting and cursing at each other and he wished he could drown it all out.

Monday morning

Derek cracked open the door to Isaac's bedroom and found him still asleep. His head was hanging over the edge of the bed and the sheets were wet from his drooling. He walked over to the bed and softly shook him awake. "Come on Isaac wake up." Isaac immediately groaned and turned away from his voice, pulling the covers tighter around him. Out of everyone else in the house Isaac was the only one who wasn't a morning person. "Come on Isaac we can't do this every morning." He pulled the covers off of Isaac and stood at the edge of the bed. Isaac cracked open an eye and turned to face him. "It's time to get up, we got to go to school."

Isaac stretched and groaned, turning onto his stomach. "Alright I'm up." He moved to the edge of the bed and buried his face in his hands.

"You okay?" Derek asked leaning against the wall.

Isaac yearned in his hands and nodded his head. "Yeah I was just dreaming that I was back home and my parents were in love with each other again." He looked over at his bedside clock and saw that it was 5:33. "Why the hell are you waking me up now Derek!" He yells lying back down.

"That time is wrong, it's 6:44." Derek walked over and slapped his leg. "Come on get up before they eat all the food from you." With that he left the room.

Isaac laid in his bed a few more seconds before getting up and going to the restroom. Ten minutes later he made his way downstairs and to the kitchen where the others were. After making himself a plate he went back to the living room.

Stiles could see that was upset and he turned to Derek. "What's wrong with him?"

Derek sighed. "He always acts this way around his birthday. He doesn't talk much and besides school he stays in his room. No one knows why, not even my Uncle."

Stiles watched him get up and disposed his plate before heading back upstairs. He looked over at Danny and Jackson and saw they were in deep conversation so he grabbed his plate and went to the living room. "Hey Isaac, mind if I join you?"

Isaac looked up at him before shaking his head. "No."

Stiles sat down and started playing in his food. "Are you okay?" He asked. "You're usually so upbeat and happy, for the past few days you've been locked in your room."

Isaac sighed and sat back. "Life with my parents wasn't always bad. Every year on my birthday they would put aside their problems and we would all enjoy being together, it felt like we were a family again. The next day rolls around they were back at each others throats, putting me right in the middle. I guess I'm upset because I'll never have that one day again and it sucks."

Stiles sighed. "I'm sorry, have you talked to your parents since you left?"

Isaac shook his head. "They use to call Peter and even came by a few times but they don't anymore. Maybe they finally decided to split up and cut all times with me."

Stiles watched as Isaac began eating his food. "Is that why you're upset because you miss them?"

Isaac shrugged. "I just...wanted them to care." He set his fork down and got to his feet. "Can you tell Derek that I'm going to stay home, I just want to be alone."

"Yeah." Stiles watched him go the got to his feet as well. He picked up both of the trays and went back to ye kitchen. When Jackson and Danny looked over at him he stopped. "What?"

"Isaac didn't eat his food?" Jackson says. "Is he alright?"

"He said that he wasn't hungry and he just wants to be alone so he went to his room." Sties went to put the food in the trash but decided to put it in the fridge. "Maybe he'll eat it later on today, I'm going to finish getting ready for school."

Head resting on his hands Danny wanted him go before turning to Jackson. "I'm worried about Isaac, he's never not ate a plate of food before."

"When he first got here he didn't eat like he does now." Jackson replied taking another bite of food. "It took him a few months before he got comfortable enough to talk to us. You shouldn't worry about him though, when his birthday past he'll be back to his old goofy self." He got to his feet and tossed his plate in the sink and when he turned around he found Danny staring at him. "What, he acted this way last year around his birthday and everyone was worried. The only one he really communicated with was Scott. As soon as his birthday passed he was himself again. Like you said all of us have our own way of dealing with our family problems. I go off on people, you shut people out, he likes to be alone so let him be." He left the kitchen and headed upstairs to his room. Grabbing his jacket and book bag he stopped by Danny's room and got his stuff before heading back downstairs. The four of them left the house a few minutes later.

Flashback

Scott walked into his first period classroom and saw Isaac asleep on a desk in the back of the room. Sighed he walked back to him and shook him awake. "Hey dude wake up." Isaac groaned and sat back in his seat. "Did your folks have another fight last night?"

"All night, I didn't go to sleep until for and I'm exhausted." Isaac says. "I wanted to stay home but I didn't want to hear them screaming at each other so I left."

"You can stay with me for the weekend if you want." Scott says. "No maybe you can talk to my friend Derek."

"Hale, why?" Isaac asks.

"Because his Uncle can help you." Scott says. "He helped Danny when he was going through family problems and I know he'll help you."

"Do you know him?" Isaac asks.

Scott's nods. "Yeah I've met him before and he's really cool, trust me he'll help you."

End

Isaac was lying in bed when he heard the downstairs door open and close. He got up and headed downstairs, Scott was standing at the bottom. "What are you doing here?"

Scott shrugged and walked up the stairs. "Your birthday is in a few days and I got you something." He walked behind Isaac and started pushing him down the stairs and towards the living room.

When Isaac got to the living room he couldn't help but smile. A small cake was sitting on the table and a box wrapped in blue paper sat next to it. "What is this?"

"I know it sucks that you can't spent your birthday with your parents and I know you said you don't want anything but I just wanted to do something for you for a change." Scott walked over to the table and picked up the box. "Happy birthday!" He yelled holding out the box.

Isaac wasn't surprised that Scott dad this because he did the same thing last year. Scott was his closest friend and he really did owe him a lot.

"You know we might not be your real family but we care about you." Scott says. "And I know Jackson doesn't act like it but he does too. You've always been like my brother and I know how you get around your birthday so happy birthday."

"Thanks Scott." Isaac says.

Later that day when the others got home from school they found Scott and Isaac sitting on the couch playing a video game. A half eaten cake was sitting on the table.

"Hey guys." Isaac says pausing the game.

"What's going on in here?" Jackson says walking over and leaning on the back of the couch. "Did you guys finally stop flirting with each other and seal the deal?"

Scott looked back and saw Jackson making kissing noises and smiled. "Shut up Jackson."

"Are you okay Isaac?" Stiles asked.

Isaac nodded. "Yeah I'm alright, but do you guys want to play because Scott sucks."

Later that night

Issac placed a few slices of pizza on his plate along with a few wings before grabbing a soda and heading back to the living room. He couldn't help but smile as Stiles, Jackson, Derek and Danny were trying to destroy each other in the video game. He sat back on the floor next to Scott who was playing a game on his phone.

Scott looked up as Isaac sat down next to him. He smiled when he saw the amount of food that was on his plate. "I can see you're feeling better."

"Yeah I guess so." Isaac says picking up a slice of pizza. "We should do this more often, hang out."

"That's all we do us hang out." Scott says. "But I know what you mean." He watched Isaac as he started to eat his food and laughed. "Don't eat fast or you'll end up choking like last time."

A/N I will try to include Isaac and Scott more but it will still be focused on Derek and Stiles.
