Sorry for the slow update. This is my little present for you guys on this Thanksgiving Day. It's a little OOC but I think it's justified. We finally get to see things from Jade's point of view. I really liked writing this chapter. I would like to know what you guys thought about it. Please don't forget to leave a review. Thank you for all the wonderful comments, and for following this story.

Chapter 6: Magic & emotions
(Jade's Pov)
What the hell just happened?
I stood there frozen for a few seconds trying to make sense of what I saw. It couldn't be real could it? Vega just didn't disappear into thin air!? Where the hell is she?
I searched every inch of my room. But nothing, Vega wasn't here. I closed the door to my room and I searched all the rooms including my little sisters.
"Squirt have you seen the girl who was in my bed?" I ask. She raised an eyebrow at my question and shook her head.
"No, why would she be here?" She asks.
"How should I know? She just freaking left." I answer as I closed her door. I know I'm in a bitchy mood but dammit. What the hell!? Was she playing a prank on me? There was no other explanation. I know what I saw but I wanted to believe that this was some sick joke of Vega's. Even though I knew she never played jokes on me. I didn't care she was going to pay.
I get in my car and start driving. I drive straight to Vega's house.
"Vega open the damn door!" I scream as I hit it time after time but nobody answers. I was about to pull my scissors when the door opens.
"About damn time any longer and" I start to say but all of my words die in my throat, there was nobody inside. I smirk if Vega is trying to scare me with this she must really not know me at all.
"Oh no! the door open by itself oh whatever should I do!?" I say in my imitation of Tori's voice. She hates it when I talk like this. I smirk as I don't hear any sound. Vega's not so bad at this.
I enter her house and go straight into her room. I'm going to find her. I open her door and a paper hits me on my face.
She's not trying to distract me with a freaking paper is she?
I grab the paper and I was about to rip it when I saw it, her name.
It was an adoption paper it had all the information and at the bottom of the paper it had the signature of Vega's parents.
I always made comments about her being adopted, but I didn't mean it seriously. I looked closely at the paper and there were tear stains. She most of found it or her parents were heartless enough to just tell her, expecting that Tori would understand.
I look at the paper one more time before sitting on her bed. Now I can't punish her can't I? It all made sense now. Why she would sneak into my room of all people. Why she was crying as I held her. And most importantly why she would go to me. I'm the only one who wouldn't show her sympathy.
"You know Jadey I never took you as a stalker." I look to my side and Cat was leaning casually in the wall.
"I'm not. I'm a psychopath." She laughs and I raised my eyebrow. I wonder what our friends would say if they know that Cat isn't as clumsy as she pretends.
"What are you doing here Cat?" She smiles.
"Well if you want the truth. I fell asleep on an old couch and I woke up to find myself leaning on this wall." I shake my head. Seriously even if she isn't as dumb as she pretends she always says weird things like this.
"What kind of medicine did your parents give you this time? Or did you took "candy" from someone you shouldn't?" She shrugs.
"They didn't give me anything and I'm pretty sure Paige and Tori didn't give me anything either." I immediately ask.
"Vega? Where is she?" Cat takes a sit next to me.
"We're on Paige's house or well I was until a few seconds ago. Tori helped me when I was in trouble." I raised my eyebrow at that.
"Trouble? Do I need to beat someone up?" She shakes her head.
"No. Tori beat them already." She answers with a big smile. Tori? Beat someone up? I was about to ask her what she meant but she started talking.
"I didn't know she was magical too. She was amazing. She looked worried though." Magical? Well now I know that she's on drugs.
"Cat I don't want to burst your little bubble but how many times do I have to tell you that magic is not real?" She stands up.
"Jade magic is real and you know it. Have you forgotten how you and I first met!?" How she and I met? What does that have to do with anything?
"Yeah. Your mother and my mother were best friends at some point in their lives and they introduced us. Expecting that you and I would be best friends too. " She shakes her head.
"That's not the first time that we met." I raised an eyebrow at that.
"Really? Are you sure you didn't take any medicine." She grabs both of my shoulders.
"Jade you saved my life!" Saved her life? What the hell is she talking about?
"Cat we were six the first time that we met and I seriously didn't save your life. Unless you count that big lollipop that I gave you so you would stop crying." She lets me go and starts to cry.
"Jade I just thought that you didn't wanted to talk about it. I just assumed that you wanted to forget. But Jade how could you forget something like that!? You almost died. You almost died for someone like me." She said as she sobbed. I could barely understand what she said and I was at a loss for words.
It's not rare to see Cat having a serious conversation with me. It's not rare for her to talk nonsense most of the time. What's rare is for her to cry and tell me that I almost died when we were six.
"Cat calm down. I seriously don't remember anything like that. So maybe you just dreamed it?" I asked. I awkwardly patted her back.
"But I didn't and you and she and I" She started to say but it was all nonsense I could barely understand her as she hugged me and buried her head on my shoulder.
"Cat let's forget about that for now okay? Let's say that it wasn't a dream and that what you say is true. Maybe I almost did die but it was a long time ago so just forget it okay." She nods and I stay there letting her hug me until she finally pulls herself together.
"Sorry. I was just sad and I guess what happened today got me in this turmoil. If it wasn't for Tori I don't know what would have happened to me." I had completely forgotten about Vega.
"Cat where's Vega?" She tilted her head.
"I told you she's with Paige." She tells me.
"Who exactly is Paige and where can I find them?" She smiles.
"Paige is my guardian angel and they're in Paige's house." Okay I'll ignore the angel part and focus on the place.
"Cat Vega was with me like half an hour ago when the hell did she go with you guys?" She smiles.
"She orbed there silly." Orbed? What the heck is that?
"What?" She pats my head like I'm a little kid who doesn't know anything. I immediately smack her hand and she smiles.
"Jadey she orbed. She disappeared in blue lights right?" I nod my head. How did she know?
"Paige always appears and disappears like that too. It's like a fast way to travel to where ever you want to go. Paige does it because she's an angel. Does that mean that Tori is an angel too?" She looks at me curiously.
"Cat I seriously don't know what you're talking about. You're making less sense than ever. So could just tell me where the hell is Vega?" She shakes her head and pouts.
"I'm telling you she's with Paige!" She tells me and suddenly she grabs her side.
"It hurts." I look at her questioningly as she falls into me. She screams.
"Cat what's wrong?" She doesn't answer as she looks at me with a painful expression.
"Cat?" I call her name as I try to understand what's happening.
"Someone is hurting me." That's all she says as she disappears. She literally disappeared, it wasn't like Vega's she just vanished.
I fall into Vega's bed. This is a freaking nightmare or someone spiked my coffee. How in the world does someone just disappear out my sight?
I kept thinking of different scenarios, different ways to explain what just happened with Cat and Vega. Because of the blue lights I could say that it was some trick with some really bad acting in her part. But Cat she didn't disappear in blue lights she just vanished into thin air, and the craziest part is that she was in my arms when it happened.
I don't know how long I stayed there trying to make sense of it all. But soon enough I was so tired that I ended up falling asleep on Vega's bed.
"Jade." Who in the world is trying to wake me? Don't they know that I hate it when someone interrupts my sleep?
"Jade wake up." Oh someone has a death wish. I swear if they keep shaking me I will cut them with my scissors.
"Jade!" That's it.
"What Vega!? Can't you see that I'm trying to freaking sleep? What the hell do you want?" It took me a few seconds to actually comprehend what I had just said and when I did I grabbed Vega's shoulders.
"Vega you're here." I tell her and she just looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Yes?" I let her go as I fall back to her bed. Yeah I'm too tired to argue.
"Jade if you don't mind me asking why are YOU in my bed? And how did you even got here? I know I locked the door this morning." She tells me. I give an exaggerated sigh. Seriously she's asking me how I got here?
"Vega that's not important. How the hell did you disappeared?" She looks at me with a shock and scared expression before she falls right next to me.
"Jade can't we not talk about it?" She asks me. She doesn't want to talk about it. Like it's the most normal thing to disappear in the middle of a conversation.
"Vega. You just left. I've been searching for you all day and I couldn't find you not only that but Cat also disappeared and she kept talking about magic and you fell asleep." I say as I look at her and I could see the bags under her eyes. She looked so peaceful sleeping. I should just wake her up the same way she did to me.
But I have a really bad headache so instead I close my eyes and before I fall asleep I grab Vega's hand. There's no way I'm letting her disappear in to freaking lights again.
I wake up to the sound of someone knocking a door. I open my eyes to find myself in a completely different place. Because I'm pretty sure Vega doesn't have an attic. I awkwardly stand up from the floor and I see Vega on an old couch. I was still holding her hand. I gave her a gentle squeeze before letting it go.
"Tori I'm coming in." I hear the voice of a woman say just before she opens the door.
Our eyes met and I can't help but think that she reminds me of someone.
"Who are you?" She asks me and I shake my head. I'm not doing this without coffee.
"Do you have coffee?" I ask she looks at me with a confused expression before she nods her head.
"Yeah, are you a friend of Tori's?" She asks me and I don't answer immediately.
"I wouldn't go as far as to call her a friend. You could say that we're acquaintances." I tell her. She raises her eyebrow but nods her head.
"I was just going to see if Tori was awake so she could eat with us but seen as she's still asleep. How about you come with me instead?" She asks me as she motions to the door. I don't move until she says the magic words.
"I'll give you some coffee." She tells me and I start walking to the door.
She takes me to the kitchen where I see two other women and a familiar face.
"Jade you're here!" She screams as she pulls me to a hug.
"Cat let me go." I tell her as I try to pull her away from me. I see the three women trying not to laugh at my predicament.
"One, two" I start to count and she immediately lets me go.
"Don't count!" She screams and I smirk as I stop counting.
"How do you like you're coffee?" The first woman asked me.
"She likes two cubes of sugar only." Cat answers as she grabs my hand and makes me sit next to her.
"Here you go." The woman tells me.
"Thanks." I take a large gulp of coffee and I sigh.
"Jade? How did you get here? Did you use magic? Or did you orb?" She asks me and I could see the other woman waiting for my answer.
I don't answer instead I continue to drink my coffee.
"Jade!" I put my cup down and I grab my head.
"Cat I don't know. One minute I'm talking to Vega in her room and then I fall asleep in her bed and wake up here." Cat looks at me with a confused expression.
"Why were you sleeping on Tori's room? Did you have another fight with your dad?" She asks me and I shake my head.
"No. You freaking left me there yesterday don't you remember?" I ask she immediately shakes her head.
"No. I haven't visited Tori's house I was here with Paige and her sisters all day yesterday." I shake my head and stand up.
"Jade where are you going?" Cat asks me and I shake my head.
"Cat. Yesterday Vega disappeared in bright blue lights, you just freaking vanished into thin air. I wake up to find myself in an attic. I really don't care anymore I'm going home." I tell her and she shakes her head.
"I told you its magic." She tells me and I close my eyes.
"How many times do I need to tell you magic is not real?"
"But it is real. Jade you know this." Here we go again. I was about to continue our little dispute when I literally get hit with blue lights. Blue lights that somehow turned into Vega.
"Jade what are you doing?" She asks me. I swear if this is a nightmare it's a really shitty nightmare.
"Enjoying the view what about you?" I tell her with a lot of sarcasm in my voice.
"What view?" She asks me and blushes as she realizes that she's on top of me . She's wearing a big button shirt, which half of those are undone. She has her hands on either side of my head, our lips are just inches apart, and my hands are on her waist.
Her eyes get so big that I actually think that they might fall off. Not only that but she's completely red. Her blush is spreading through her neck and thanks to her shirt I can see her blush actually spreading through her body and my thoughts start to wonder. I can't help but think of just how far her blush goes.
We stay there looking at each other and her eyes remind me of someone but now it's not the time for that. I'm more concentrated on her breathing. Her breath is caressing my lips teasing me to just close the gap between us. I would have if it wasn't for the fact that I'm pretending to not like her and I know that the three women and Cat are watching us.
I'm bisexual and the only people who know are Cat and Beck. After me and Beck mutually broke up he literally told me that I had a crush on Vega.
I was utterly stunned because well I really thought that I hated her, but he kept point out the way I talked about her. The way our fights remind him of how he and I started dating. And the most important thing how I'm over protective of her in my own little way. Every time she tries to give up on something I push her, taunt her, insult her, but I never actually harm her. Even when she gets on my nerves.
I hear someone fake the loudest cough and I turn to see Cat with a huge smile on her face.
Vega immediately stands up and I sit up.
"Sorry." She tells me as she helps me stand up.
"You should be." I tell her.
"So you are at least half whitelighter." One of the women says.
"What?" Vega asks and before one of them could answer I cut them off.
"Before you start can someone tell me what the he- heck is happening?" I was going to say hell but Vega freaking elbowed me.
All of us went to the kitchen and they explained everything to me. They didn't want to at first because I was supposedly a mortal. Meaning I didn't have any powers. But Cat's whining won and they told me. I still actually don't believe in magic, so either it exists or these women need serious help.
I learn their names. Piper, Phoebe, and Paige. They are witches who have fought demons, vampires, and most of all the fairy tale monsters. They are sisters and Paige is Cat's whitelighter. She supposedly helps future witches. Cat had a shocked expression. She probably didn't know that part.
"Cat you're a witch." I smirk as I tell her.
"What!? But I don't have green skin. I don't even have a pointy hat." She whines the last part. Vega laughs and I smile. It's nice to see her smiling.
She had looked so scared and shocked when they started explaining everything to us.
"So what is Vega?" I ask and I immediately regret the question when I saw her frown.
"We don't know." Phoebe said and I just raised an eyebrow.
"She has whitelighter abilities but she also has demonic powers. She's a complete mystery." I look at Vega and I could tell by her expression that she didn't want to believe that she was different.
She stood up from her seat and ran.
"Tori wait!" Paige screamed as she tried to follow her but I grabbed her arm.
"Leave her alone." I tell her Paige too stubborn tried to free her arm but I didn't let her go.
"Didn't you see she was about to cry!" I look at her brown eyes and I finally see what has bugged me about her eyes. They're the same color as Vegas. Could it be? Is that why she's so worried about her? I ignored it for now and focus on the problem at hand.
"She was. She's probably asking herself why she's so different. She's over stressed. She's depressed this past week she learned something that changed her life. And now she's told that she's some magical creature that doesn't fit into any classification. Wouldn't you have run too?" Paige didn't listen she tried once again to free herself.
"That's why I have to help her! She has to know that I'm here for her." I shake my head. I knew it they're related both of them are so stubborn.
"Paige calm down." The oldest sister tries to calm her.
"But what if she orbs, what if we can't find her?" I let go of her hand and stand up.
"She will come back. She just needs to let all of it sink in." I answer as I walk to their couch and lay down.
"How can you be so calm?" I don't need to answer as Cat decides to talk for me.
"She isn't. Jade actually wants to go after her but she can't because that would mean that she doesn't believe in her." I shake my head.
"Are you sure about that Cat? I could just be waiting to see how long it takes her to finally break." Cat shakes her head stubbornly.
"I know you." That's all she says and I hate to admit that she's right.
"Sure whatever you say Cat." I tell her and Cat pushes my legs down and takes a sit.
"So do you believe in magic now?" She tells me I look at her and then at the three sisters.
"What do you do?" I ask the oldest one.
"What?" She asks.
"What magic do you have? Or do you all do the orbing thing?" The oldest shakes her head.
"I can stop time or blow things up." I raise my eyebrow. The blowing things up sound interesting. I smirk.
"Okay blow something up." I tell her and she shakes her head.
"You seriously remind me of how phoebe was in high school." She says. The woman in question shook her head.
"Oh I never wore so much black." She answers and I close my eyes. We're getting off topic here.
"Just do it." I tell her and once again she shakes her head.
"Sorry but I don't want to destroy anything in my house." She tells me.
"Fine stop time." I tell her and she shakes her head, again.
"You're just a mortal if I do that you'll freeze too." I sigh.
"So you really don't have any powers and all of you are just on drugs right? "All of them looked upset but the oldest gave me the most killer look that I have ever seen. I almost felt scared.
"Fine you want me to freeze you I'll freeze you." She moves her hands and I keep looking at her. When is she going to stop time?
"So? Why are you moving your hands like that?" I gesture with my hand.
"You're not a mortal." Paige says and I raise my eyebrow.
"How did you figure that out?" I ask. Now they're going to tell me that I'm a witch too?
"You were suppose to freeze." She answers.
"Okay." I answer and I stand up. It's true that I'm into weird stuff but these is too weird, even for me.
"Where are you going?" Cat asks me and I start to walk to the stairs.
"I'm going to lay down on that old couch in the attic, wake me up when Vega gets here." I tell Cat and without waiting for a reply I walk up the stairs.
"Is she always like that?" I hear Phoebe ask Cat.
"Yeah, that's how Jade has always been." I barely hear Cat's reply as I close the door.
I lay down and close my eyes. I was about to fall asleep when I feel someone on top of me. I didn't have to open my eyes to know who it was.
"Why do you always seem to appear on top of me?" I ask as I open one eye. Vega doesn't hear me as I see her lost in her own world.
"Jade, I'm not normal." She tells me in a barely audible voice. I pull her down until her head is resting on my chest.
"So what? You never were normal. You're way too nice." I tell her and her answer comes out as sniff.
"Jade I'm serious! Why me? I was just a normal girl everything I know it's a lie. I'm supposed to believe that I'm an angel who can use demonic powers? They don't exist Jade! Why do I exist!?" I was a little mad, no completely upset, the Vega that I know wouldn't let her sadness overwhelmed her.
"Vega don't think too much about it." I tell her and she shakes her head.
"But Jade I'm different!" She screams as she raises her head once again our faces are too close and without thinking I close the gap between us.
Our lips meet and Vega doesn't move at first. I was about to pull back when I feel her lips slowly moving with mine. I grab her cheek with my right hand and I do something that I would never do to another person. I slowly and gently caress her cheek. I don't deepen the kiss I continue to kiss her softly, I want her to relax, and I want her to forget about everything. But most importantly I want her to know that I will always be here.
I chuckle internally. Damn, Vega truly made me soft. My thoughts get interrupted when I feel her tears hit my skin.
I pull back and wipe her tears away. I look straight into her eyes and I can see so many emotions. Pain, sadness, confusion, and an emotion that I can't describe.
"Jade I-" I silence her with a light peck on her lips. I pull her down once again this time her head is on my shoulder, and I feel her breath caress the skin on my neck.
"Don't talk Vega. We'll talk about this later." She kisses me on my neck and I pull her closer. I stay there holding her like that thinking of different ways I could help her. It takes only a few minutes until I hear her breathing slow down, and I know she's asleep.
I grin at what she said a few minutes ago. She's an angel with demonic powers. She had said it with so much pain in her voice. I instantly held her tighter.
I close my eyes and smile. I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't mind it one bit.
She can be my fallen angel, or my sweet devil. I don't care as long as she's mine.
