Part 3
Well here is the next chapter. I hope that someone is actually reading these and it would be great if I could get some kind of feedback. I don't own league of legends or legend of Zelda. Also there is some slang and bad English in here but that's because most of the kids at my school can't speak worth poop. Also some of the names in the last chapter were what some friends of mine said so if they are from a game I didn't know and I'm sorry cause I have no clue what game it is and I can't cite it. And again also this is done all on my iPad. Not an excuse but there it is.
The rest of the day went pretty well for Midna. Her mind was busy think about her new group of friends to be much bothered by the other kids with their snide looks and rude pointing. During lunch Vince had agreed to see her off when she got picked up. This was foremost in her mind as she walked out to the agreed meeting point.
As she approached she saw him leaning against a post with his eyes closed. When she got closer she saw him muttering something but this stopped when he opened his eyes and saw her. A smile played across his face and he waved.
"I would ask how your first day was but I'm afraid I know the answer." he said
"Ha ya. Well shall we get going?" was her reply.
"After you." He did this with a galant wave of his hand and fell into step behind her.
They headed off to the parking lot. There was small talk but nothing of consequence. After about 5 minutes of this her car pulled up. To her surprise her father had come to pick her up himself. "Dad what are you doing here?"
"I think it's kind of obvious. I'm picking up my little girl from school." was his response
Feeling a little foolish she blushed and a muttered "oh" was her reply. She hurried into the limo while Vince snickered. "I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow Midna. Have a good rest of the day."
"You to Vince."
Both waved to each other and Vince walked away when the car pulled out. It was attracting almost as many stares as Midna did for people were wondering who was in that thing. "That girl knows how to attract attention" Vince mused. With a shrug he started walking towards his pride and joy.
The motorcycle wasn't anything pretty but it was his. As he drew near he heard some people talking nearby behind the school. His interest having been peaked he walked around the side to see an event taking place.
"Come on granny. What's up with you? Why your hair white huh?" The group of three guys surrounded the sun kissed girl. The one who spoke gave her a little shove when he finished leering. The other two laughed wickedly and cheered their friend on. "Say something." Another shove. "Fine. I will just make you talk." He delivered a savage kick to the girls shin. She tried to get out of the way but was just a little to slow.
She let out a grunt of pain and fell to one knee. Her white hair fell down to cover her eyes but her teeth showed as she gritted back the three guys jeered at the girl and applauded the first guy.
"Real impressive you three. You all can beat up a girl if there is three of you." Vince said coldly. He walked closer to the guys but stopped just out of reach
"No one asked you now get outta here." said the apparent ring leader.
"I'll go with the lady."
"The hell you will"
The girl on the ground let out a short laugh at this. Not only was the new guy a good head taller than the trio of thugs but the way he shifted to a subtle fighting stance told her that he knew how to fight. The three guys spread around the new comer.
"Last chance guys. Let me take the girl and I'll leave you be."
"What are you going to do huh?" The ring leader moved to shove the guy but with a blur of motion the taller of the two leaned aside and grabbed his arm. Vince then levered him to were he was bent over. Once he was there he delivered a kick to the guy on his right. The one on his left was stunned at the thrashing his friends had taken in only a matter of moments. His momentary lapse proved to be his biggest mistake he had made that day.
Vince grabbed the collar and sagging belt of the one he had punched and, dropping his stance and twisting his hips, bodily heaved the guy into his friend, sending them both sprawling to the ground.
Even through the pain the girl on the ground managed a snort at the impressive display of strength and prowess. Vince walked up to the white haired girl and offered her a hand up. The girl paused a moment to look at it then up to his face. It was split into a polite smile and kind eyes looked expectantly at her. She took his proffered hand slowly and rose.
When she stood at her full Height of 5'6" she staggered. Looking down at her leg she saw a vicious bruise spreading from the kick to her ankle. She snarled and made to kick the one who had done it but staggered again when she started at him. Vince reached out to help her and when he touched her she flinched away.
"It's ok. I'm just trying to help." Vince raised his hands to prove his point and when she gave a small nod walked over to her to help again. Taking the weight of her injured side they started toward the parking lot. Vince glanced back at the group of thugs and muttered "pathetic."
The girl glanced at her savior again, taking him in in more detail. After her inspection she looked away with a small tinge to her checks. The guy was decently attractive.
"Hold on a second. I gotta get my keys." Vince said as he slowly gave the weight back to her. She blinked at their destination. The motorcycle was an older model but it was a motorcycle nonetheless and was her favorite kind of transportation.
Vince saw her reaction out of the corner of his eye and smiled. Not many people actually liked his ride. They all said it was to risky and didn't look like it would get down the road much less to their destination. To his critics he said that was the point.
Having finally fished out his keys he offered her his helmet. She looked at and then at him and asked "What?"
"I'm taking you to my place. Looks like that ankle needs a wrap and some of those cuts could use bandages." he explained.
"I'm fine. I'll walk." with this she started off but when her weight hit her injured leg she let out a his of pain and fell. Before she hit the ground Vince reached out an arm and stopped her. She looked up defiantly but saw his expression. It was calm and expectant but nothing else. For some reason she found herself trusting this guy, a complete stranger.
She gave a small nod again and took the helmet. Climbing onto the bike behind him she loosely wrapped her arms around his stomach. She trusted him but not enough to get too friendly. They set of and the grumble of the engine set her more at ease. She found that getting beat on made you tired and she started to get really tired. The purr of the engine didn't help at all and she pulled closer so as to be more secure.
Before she knew it the were pulling through a residential neighborhood and she saw their destination. The house was a one story with a giant driveway. The blue garage door was open and waiting from them.
"Alrighty then. We have arrived. Hope off." Vince said over the still grumbling engine. She did as instructed and leaned on the junk nearby. When he had turned the engine off he turned to her and motioned silently to the door. Since her leg felt marginally better she waved off his offer for help and limped to the door. He opened a crate and scooped out some dog food.
"I'll be right in. Just sit down at the table and relax." he said as he walked out. Another small nod was his only reply. He shrugged when she went in and he went out to feed his two dogs. The girl had a good view of him through the window while she sat at the table.
"Not only did this strange guy ride a motorcycle but he is a dog lover," she thought to herself. She realized that she was smiling and it turned into a frown. "I really should get home." she muttered. Vince chose that moment to walk in and smiled at her.
"Thanks for the help but I really should get home." she said.
"And I'll take you wherever that is as soon as we see to that ankle of yours."
"It's fine. I'll just put some ice on it."
At this he snorted and started rummaging through some of the cabinets. "I have a better idea. I'll use this nice medical stuff here and then I'll get you home." A snarl was her response and her face was fixed into stubborn lines of defiance.
Vince sighed and said, "Look. You almost fell off the bike on the way here. I'm not letting you go anywhere till we treat that."
"I did not." she said indignantly. He laughed which brought another snarl of anger. Vince sighed and set down the supplies.
"I'm fine" said the white haired girl. When he moved to put a bandaid on one of the cuts she swatted at his hand. His eyes flashed and his voice hardened.
"We can do this the easy way or I can hold you down and forcibly but these on you."
Cowed by his outburst and the memory of him beating the snot out of three guys fresh on her mind she looked away and muttered "fine."
"Cool. Now hold still." Vince's grin was fast and wide as he went to work. First he wrapped up her ankle in athletic wrap. Then he went to work on cleaning and bandaging the cuts. The whole while the girl was looking away with a small blush.
"So what's your name? I just realized that I forgot to ask." Vince said when he had finished.
The girl looked at the guy crouched in front of her and a smile came unbidden to her face. "It's Riven. Nice to meet you."
"Good to meet you Riven. The names Vince." He reached out his hand and shook hers. "Ok. A deals a deal where can I take you?"
Riven stood up and became grateful for her decision to let him help. Not only was Vince good at fighting but he could patch up pretty well. Her ankle, while still sending pain, was much better.
"It's no trouble. I don't want to put you out. I can walk now."
"Come on. I'm home alone for the whole week. No trouble going to help a friend." he said incredulously.
"Really it's fine. Its not far." she said with a laugh as she walked to the front door.
"Well if you say so." he said doubtfully.
Riven headed off in the opposite direction from the head of the street and laughed at Vince's confused look. She turned down the driveway of the neighboring house.
"Your my new neighbor?" he shouted after her.
Her voice bubbled with mirth as she waved and shouted back an affirmative.
Vince sighed and said to no one "This has turned out to be a very interesting day huh?"
