I was casually roaming the halls, walking my way to my class. I could hear the big front doors opening and closing, letting gust of cold November winds to the warm school. Students were bursting with excitement about the early release today. I however was not.

You see, every year the Wednesday before Thanksgiving we get an early release of two hours. Which should be awesome, but it is never a "High School Musical" shindig. Instead, the teachers assign us a bunch of homework to do over break.

I felt like the teachers would just pile more and more work on us until we popped like a balloon, and soon I was going to pop. Like Jesus when can I catch a freaking break!

''''

As I was walking to my history class, a blonde grey-eyed girl popped out of nowhere.

"Hi." Annabeth said giving off a flashy grin and showing her perfectly straight teeth. The skin around her eyes crinkled while her eyes shone. She was maybe the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my whole entire life.

I cleared my throat feeling awkward. What if she noticed how long I've been staring at her? "Hey. Wait, why are you in the blue hallway? Don'tcha have math next?"

"Yeah well I do, but-"she trailed off, looking to the right to see the gross old white lockers lined up against the walls. She turned her gaze back to me and I felt the wind get knocked out of me again; it was truly unfair for her to be that gorgeous. "I need a favor."

"What do you need?" I questioned, "Are you hurt, need a doctor, somebody call 991!"

She forcefully hit the backside of my head. "No you idiot! Shut up and let me talk, Jesus."

"Okay, okay chills please."

She crossed her arm cocked her right hip out, while giving me a stern glare. "I'm chill. I'm as cool as an iceberg."

"Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So what's the favor?" I questioned.

She breathed out a puff of warm air. "Okay, so, I have dance practice at two twenty. My parents can't take me. I really need to go to this practice because we have a competition on Sunday. Do you think you could drive me?"

She leaned in closer allowing me to see all the blonde freckles scattered on the bridge of her nose.

"I don't know-" I began

"Please?" She made her eyes wide looking like an innocent little child.

I signed in defeat. How could I ever say no to Annabeth."Fine I'll take you."

She put on a huge smile. She wrapped her arms around my waist hugging me so tightly I thought I was going to suffocate. Her blonde curly hair tickled my jaw and smelled of lemons. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Percy you're the most amazingest person in the whole world .My dance instructor would kill me if I wasn't there."

"Hey, hey, it's okay. I don't really mind. I mean, what are friends for?"

"Yeah your awesome, thank you again so much."

I was about to speak again when the one-minute bell rang.

"Shit." Annabeth said under her breath, "I gotta go. I'll see you at lunch!"

"Bye." I yelled, but she was already dashing through the halls.

I walked into history right as the bell rang. When I sat down, Rachael looked over and me and smiled. I automatically smiled back. I looked down at my desk. She has a pretty smile. I thought.

;;;;

At two twenty on the dot I rolled up into Annabeth's driveway. I didn't have to wait too long thanks to Annabeth's intense need to be on time for things.

Annabeth scurried out the door in black sweatpants, a grey sweatshirt with what appeared to have Rehoboth Beach written in navy, and a black dance bag probably full of dancey stuff. She walked half way before suddenly turning, running back to the door, and locking it.

"Hey." She said as she opened my car door . Her hair was in a disastrous ponytail; it looked liked I was going to fall apart any second.

"Hey, Hey. So how exactly do you get to this place?" I looked down at her waiting for an answer, but she bent over like a flamingo redo her ponytail. My eyes shifted over the small tan patch of skin of her lower back, uncovered by my her sweatshirt. I sucked in a shaky breath. I needed to relax and get this crush thing under control.

"Just go to chipotle and then-are you okay?"

"Wha-what do you mean?"

"Percy you holding the string wheel like a manic." She said with concern while glances over to my hands. I follow her gaze to see my hands gripping the wheel so hard my knuckles were starting to turn white. I immediately released my hold feeling embarrassed and stupid. "Yeah, I'm fine."

After she gave me a few simple directions, we headed to her studio.

"So," She began, "If you want to stay for my practice, you can. We would get Chipotle after, but only if you want to." She was looking at the ground with a light pink dust on her cheek and fiddling her feet; something she only did when she was embarrassed or anxious. Oh my god she nervous. Remember act normal Percy.

I cleared my throat. "Uh yeah, sure sounds fun."

She raised her head away from the grey carpet and said "Really?" She questioned; grinning up at me like a child just received a piece of candy. My heart clenched at the sight.

"Yeah, I mean we haven't hung out in like forever."

"Awesome." She replied still smiling.

A soft smile appeared on my lips as I said quietly, "Yeah, awesome."

;;;;

When we got to the dance studio, Annabeth imminently hurried me out of the car and sprinted to the building saying we were going to be late.

She pulled the handle on the entrance door for her dance room. The walls of the dance room were a blue gray with mirrors on one side, as well as a window on the same side. Various girls in spandex and sports bras were around the room stretching or talking. Some looked up and smiled at Annabeth. A girl with long brown hair propped up in a pony tail yelled, "Come on Annabeth, we need to start soon!"

Annabeth turned to the girl and stuck her tongue out "I'm coming one second." replied.

"Okay-" ,Annabeth began, "See that door?" She pointed to the dark brown door in the nearest corner to them. "There should be a pair of stairs. Follow them up until you see a bunch of moms. Just wait there and watch, or do whatever you want to do. Got it."

I gave her a thumbs up. "Got it."

"Okay great. Now shoo shoo."

;;;

As I walked up the stairs I ran my hand across the blue painted walls. I felt the smooth coats under my callous fingertips.

I opened another door when I reached the end of the stairs. When I opened it, a band of moms looked up at me with curiosity and wonder. I clutched the cold doorknob and closed it. I felt extremely awkward; I didn't know what to say when they all looked at me like I was an alien.

I walk over to one of the couches with my head down to the floor trying to avoid all eye contact. Unluckily the only couch left had a few people sitting on it. I sat on the plush cushions and leaned back against the back on the couch. I looked out the window in front of us my stomach lurched. I saw Annabeth and her dance mates, but this time had Annabeth shredded her sweats and jacket to black tight spandex and a pink sports bra with thin straps. Her tan stomach was visible and her long legs looked amazing and Jesus Christ she looked hot.

"So." Said the mom said next to me, "whose boyfriend are you?" She had straight honey hair that reached below her collarbone. She was smiling warmly showing off her cheekbones and perfect teeth. Her eyes were bright blue and shined a love. I suddenly wanted to tell her all of my secrets. She just looked so nice.

All the other mothers turned to me waiting for me to answer.

I felt my face heat up. "I-uh- I'm no one's boyfriend. I was just dropping Annabeth off."

Her eyes light up. "You know Annabeth? Oh isn't she just a wonderful dancer." I glanced out the window again. They were all warming up doing twirls and kicks and fancy dance moves.

I looked back at the mother. "I've actually never seen her dance. I was surprised she asked me stay. She usually likes to dance in private."

"That's good you're able to see now. What's your name son?"

I put my hands in my lap twiddling my thumbs. "Percy."

"Well Percy, my name's Kate and I suggest you watch this practice thoroughly. They have a competition this weekend, so this is basically they're dress rehearsal minus the dresses. This is when they are they're ever best."

"Yeah Annabeth told me I'll make sure the watch, thank you."

"Oh it's no problem sweetheart." Kate smiled at me again and turned back to watch the dancers. I followed her action.

It was mesmerizing how graceful they moved the bodies like they were gusts of wind. The music stopped and they moved off to the sides of the room.

Kate nudged me and said, "The group performance is about to start. It's just marvelous!"

They entered barefoot walking with pointed toes on the glossy floors. They stayed still with a few hand movements until the lyrics started. They burst into action like wind up toys with kicks and spins.

The song had a sexual tint to it and it showed in there movements. I looked at Annabeth and only Annabeth when she danced. It was like she had been take over by the music, running along with each note, like she was painting colors and feelings with her body. It was beautiful.

When the chorus hit Annabeth's face turned into a suggestive smirk as her hips rolled and her body twisting in extremely promising ways.

Was she trying to kill me? First she moves beautifully and now in a sexy way making so incredibly hard to keep my emotions under control.

I wanted to be behind her holding her hips in my hands, breathing on her neck, as she moved her body in such glorious ways. Oh my god I sound like a huge pervert, but it's hard not too when all I can think is about Annabeth and her eyes, her lips, and stomach, her hair; it's just all Annabeth.

The song ended while it just fueled my desires.

"Wasn't it just beautiful! I'm so excited to see them win on Sunday!" Kate exclaimed next to me. She maybe was the nicest person I've ever met, besides my mother of course.

"Yeah." I said but it came out cloggy and gross. I cleared my throat. "Yeah, it was great." I said again more clearly.

I watched for the next hour duets and trios of various girls on the team. I noticed I didn't see Annabeth in any of them. She should be, she is amazing at dancing.

I abruptly turned and faced Kate. "Why isn't Annabeth in any of the other dances?"

Kate threaded her long fingers together and placed them on her lap. "Well, Annabeth actually had a solo, but gave it to one of the other girls. She told me she was having some issues and couldn't do any extra dances. It was such a shame, she is so talented."

I felt my mood decrease dramatically. My eyes furred together; a frown plastered on my face. I hoped that she was okay. Maybe it's a family thing. I thought. She had always had issues with her dad and stepmom; forcing her to do things she, blaming her for things. She would always tell me when things were getting bad, always. I hated when she did this. She would try to be independent and isolated when you can't do everything alone, man or women, one day she was going to break.

"Yeah, it is shame." I responded bitterly.

HIIII!

Okay so I didn't update for forever, but I didn't have my laptop for a whole week, plus a lot of schoolwork I had to do, and now I have SOLS next week! EECCKKK..But anyway, I'm trying to show that Percy has some darker sides to him, maybe possible anger issues starting to evolve. There was not a lot of like tension like I mentioned last chapter, think, but I feel like it will always kinda be there, but they adapted and learned to ignore it .Sorry if there are grammar mistakes. I am really too tired to read over this, and I feel like if I do I'll just hate it

Thank you for reading! Please review or pm suggestions, comments, or questions!

THANKS!
