Ultimatum

"So you're saying that this thing can destroy someone who's under Xana's control?" asked Yumi as they stood in the factory.

"It isn't a thing, it's an EMP bomb," corrected Jeremy. "It makes an electromagnetic explosion that destroys anything electronic and because the pixelated body of someone under Xana's control is held together by a force field, well…"

"Uh Jeremy, we've got a class in 20 minutes, can you give us the CliffNotes version?" asked Odd as he put his hand up and interrupted Jeremy.

"Bomb explodes, guy under Xana's control obliterated," said Jeremy.

"Great," said Aelita.

"Right. Except for one little thing…I haven't come up with a mini version yet," said Jeremy sadly.

Lyoko

Pulsations lead to a spot in the ice sector.

Kadic

"Huh, what do you know?" asked Sissi as she walked past. "Yumi isn't here with you! Oh, of course not, I just saw her with William! How stupid of me!"

"You got that right," said Ulrich as she left with Nicholas and Herb.

"Why is it whenever you see Sissi you feel like being nasty?" asked Jeremy.

"Maybe because being with someone nasty rubs off on you," said Ulrich.

"Sissi's not that bad," said Harry as he rubbed his head at the same time that Jeremy's laptop beeped.

"An activated tower! Xana's on the move again! Too bad for our class. Let's get to the factory."

"Where do you think you kids are going?" asked Jim as they started to move. "That's the way to your classroom!"

"Oh, no…" muttered Ulrich as Delmas walked past. Harry glanced at him. Delmas looked at him and smirked.

"Triplicate." Two Harrys appeared and turned invisible. They followed Delmas.

"Well, I've gotta get to music class with the others…" said Odd to Yumi.

"Lucky you, we've got chemistry," said William.

"Here comes the Principal," said Odd as he walked over.

"Good morning Mr Delmas," said Yumi. "We were just on the way to class. Hey!"

He grabbed her and Odd. The Harry clones appeared and attacked Delmas to make him let go. Delmas hit them and they disappeared.

"What's the matter with you Sir?" asked William as he followed them. "You can't treat student like that!"

The real Harry turned up and attempted to kick him He used Odd to block.

"Go to Lyoko and give yourself up," said Delmas as he pulled Odd and Yumi away. "That's the only way to get your friends back."

He shoved William across the room and shoved Odd and Yumi into a car.

"Let us go! You're hurting us sir!"

Harry and William followed, William limping. Harry ran over and tried to get them back again. He got slammed into a wall. He slid down unconscious.

"Such loyalty."

Delmas climbed in and drove off.

"Yumi!"

"Harry! William!"

Harry woke up and they hobbled back to school.

"Help! The principal's gone totally crazy! He's kidnapped Yumi and Odd!" exclaimed William. Nicholas herd them.

Music class

The teacher was playing a recovered when Nicholas slammed the door open.

"William said Mr Delmas took Ishiyama and Della Robbia. Harry was with him and it looked like he was hurt."

"Xana," muttered Jeremy.

"What kind of nonsense is this?" asked the teacher.

"It's true sir. He even beat up William Dunbar."

"Nicholas is right," said Harry as he walked into the room. "Mr Delmas did take Odd and Yumi."

"Are you sure that he's hurt Nicholas?" asked the teacher. "He doesn't look it."

"It looked worse than it was."

"Don't move," said the teacher as he walked out the room. "I'll be right back."

The class started to chatter as Harry walked over to his friends. Ulrich tried to ring Odd and Yumi as Jeremy's phone beeped.

"Odd and Yumi aren't answering," said Ulrich as Jeremy pulled it out and read the text.

"A message from Xana! Aelita and Harry at two o'clock in the Ice Sector to give themselves up to the Scyphozoas! If not, Odd and Yumi will be liquidated!"

"Delmas did say to go to Lyoko and give myself up," said Harry.

"We don't have any time to lose," said Ulrich as he stood.

"I want everybody in their seats right now!" said the teacher as he came back in.

"How do people expect us to save the world if they don't leave us alone?" asked Ulrich as he sat down again.

"I don't know," said Harry. "If only I could make enough clones to cover us."

Yumi and Odd

"Where are we?" asked Yumi as they huddled together for warmth.

"Given the temperature, I would g-g-guess somewhere north of Siberia," said Odd, his teeth chattering. Yumi went through her pockets.

"My mobile…"

"He must have taken them," said Odd.

"We have to get out of here. Before we freeze."

"M-m-mister Delmas, sir?" asked Odd as he walked towards him. Delmas gave Odd an electric shock for his troubles.

"Odd! Are you ok?" asked Yumi worriedly.

"Yeah sure, I…but I wouldn't count on his co-operating with us!"

Kadic

"Right then," said Jim as the group slipped past him. Harry left a clone. "Everybody here? Classes are cancelled for the rest of the day. William, Sissi and Harry, the detective would like to speak to you."

"Hey, what about those guys?" asked Sissi as she pointed at them. "You should question them too. They're always scheming with Odd and Yumi."

"Stern, Belpois and Stones."

"Definitely not our day," said Jeremy then he whispered. "Harry, get to Lyoko."

The sound of shoes on stone was heard.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they knew something about my father," said Sissi as Jim Grabbed Harry's clone. It disappeared.

"What the… Stern! Where is Stern?!"

Ulrich shrugged. "I don't know. And I don't know how he did that either."

The three ran off.

"Get back here!" yelled Jim. They followed them. Harry did some tricks like tripping them up to delay them.

"Stern! I know you're here! Show yourself!" ordered Jim.

"Sorry Jim. I have to go. Saving the world and all that," said Harry's disembodied voice.

The officers grabbed Jeremy and Aelita.

"I'll handle this," said Jim as he went after Ulrich and ran into a tree.

"Triplicate!" Two Harry comes appeared. "Behave like me and Ulrich! One of you turn into Ulrich"

Harry and Ulrich slipped into the manhole after the clones disappeared.

Yumi and Odd

"My friend is rally cold," called Odd as they shivered. "Hey! Xana! Apparently you're keeping us alive or you'd already blown us away! In case you didn't know, cold can kill us too! So if I were you, I'd do something about it!"

Delmas threw his jacket over and Odd wrapped it around Yumi.

"You have one very loyal friend."

Kadic

"Nice going Sissi," said Jeremy. "You rely messed up this time. All of us are here and we can't help your father."

"Not true," said Harry. "There are three Harrys and one Ulrich."

Jeremy and Aelita looked at each other.

"Nice going Harry."

"What do you mean?" asked Sissi. "And how did Harry clone himself?"

"Your father is uh…p-possessed," said Aelita.

"Oh yeah, right, like in Hospital of Horrors? And he's been taken over by a demonic entity that will make him do unspeakable things, huh?" asked Sissi.

"Uh, basically that's about it," said Jeremy.

Odd and Yumi.

A phone fell out of a pocket. They looked at it. Yumi picked it up and called Ulrich.

"Yumi? Are you ok?" asked Ulrich. "Where are you?"

"If you asked me, we're at the refrigerated warehouse, on the wharf," whispered Yumi as she hid under the jacket. Delmas summoned the phones to him and destroyed them.

"Yumi?" Ulrich ended the call and looked at the EMP bomb.

Kadic

"So, in order to help my father, you have to go deactivate a tower in a virtual universe?" asked Sissi. "And Harry cloned himself by bringing a power, that originally belonged to Ulrich and he accidently made a copy of, to earth and he's now used it?"

"That's right," said Jeremy.

"M-my last question: why should I help a couple of completely whacko pathological liars, huh?" asked Sissi.

"Keep it down!"

"For me?" asked Harry. "Xana want to enslave me to his will. I wouldn't be able to go against his commands if that happened and the world as we know it would end. In addition to having everyone's but Aelita's powers, I can move extremely fast, can move through shadows, dodge pretty much anything and have several different types of shuriken and I can turn into over people. The rest of the gang can't fight me, not even if they attacked all at once."

"And it's not us you'll be helping, it's your father," pointed out Aelita. "You have to trust us. I'm begging you."

"Thank you. You can go home now," said an officer as William walked out of the office. "Elisabeth Delmas. Your turn."

Factory

"Harry, do you know how this works?" asked Ulrich as he knelt by the EMP bomb. "I need to tell Jeremy to leave an instruction manual."

"Yes," said Harry. "Please don't detonate it anywhere near me."

"Uh, why?" asked Ulrich. "You're not a spectre or a Xanafied person."

"I don't really want to lose my powers. To activate it, flick this and then this."

He showed Ulrich the switches.

Kadic

"It's true that my father's been acting kinda weird for a while now. He's taken to locking himself in the basement to tinker around and he says strange things too! The other day he told me he was fed up with life! I told him that it was only natural for a school principal with such a heavy load to feel that way, and then he started laughing in a really crazy way, and said he did have a heavy load but that he hadn't decided where to set it off yet! And then I also heard him on the phone saying he'd gotten some material, I-I didn't really get what he said, it sounded like…decorators or destinators, or…" Sissi tried to think of the word.

"Detonators?!" asked the officer.

"Yeah, that was it!"

"Evacuate the school!" ordered the Officer. Jeremy, Aelita and the two Harry clones looked at Sissi.

"We're going," said the clones and disappeared.

"Thanks for trusting us," said Jeremy as they ran to the manhole.

"Don't mention it. But if your story about a virtual world is false, you're going to regret it." Jeremy's phone rang.

"Ulrich? Where are you?"

"I'm at the wharf," said Ulrich. "On the way to the refrigerated warehouse where Odd and Yumi are being kept. Harry's in the lab, waiting for you."

"Xana's ultimatum expires in fifteen minutes," said Jeremy as he looked at his watch.

"I'll go as fast as I can," said Ulrich. "Do you think Xana will delay the deadline if Harry goes over?"

Jeremy started to run as he called Harry.

"Harry? Go to Lyoko! It might just give Ulrich more time to free Odd and Yumi!"

"You sure?" asked Harry.

"I'm nit. But you're going over anyway so it doesn't matter when!"

"Ok. See you in a few minutes."

"Sissi, what are you doing?" asked Jeremy as he ended the call.

"I'm coming with you! My father is involved in this! I also want to check out this virtual world business you've been blabbering about!"

"Aright…"

Lab

"Wow! I feel like I'm in a James Bond movie!" said Sissi as she looked around.

"Xana doesn't waste time! Your friends the Scyphozoas are already waiting for you!" said Jeremy as Harry ran across the ice sector. "Nice going Harry. You managed to virtualise yourself quite a distance from the Scyphozoas!"

"Well, Xana said that we had to be in the ice sector," said Harry. "He didn't say where exactly to be in the ice sector."

"How much time?" asked Aelita.

"Two minutes."

Harry peered out firm behind a rock.

"I'm trying something." He focused and the path began to slope, blocking the Scyphozoas from coming directly at him. "Is this like creativity?"

"Not exactly," said Jeremy. "I think creativity is a weaker form of what you're doing."

"It is," said Aelita. "I can't control the existing landscape, only create new things or destroy the existing one. I can't move it."

Ulrich

Ulrich peeked through the door before closing it and moving onto the next one. His phone rang.

"Hurry," said Jeremy immediately. "One minute left."

"There are lots of cold rooms here Jeremy," pointed out Ulrich. "Is Harry on Lyoko?"

"He is."

Lab

"I should hand myself over to the Scyphozoa," said Aelita.

"No. Ulrich's going to make it." They watched the countdown end. "The time's up."

Odd and Yumi

Delmas turned around and looked at
Odd and Yumi.

"One of your friends was sensible and went to the ice sector. He didn't go to the right place but that was an oversight on my part. But since only one went, I can destroy you."

"Harry," muttered Odd as Delmas charged up electricity. He yelled as he was electrocuted. Yumi tried to stop him but she got electrocuted too.

"Jeremy, that bomb you made, it won't blow away the principal will it?" asked Ulrich as Delmas looked at him.

"Theoretically speaking, no."

Ulrich sent the bomb through Delmas's legs and it went off.

Lab

"Ulrich? Ulrich? Can you hear me?" asked Jeremy.

"Of course he can't," said Harry. "The EMP wave would have shorted out his phone."

"I am an idiot. I hadn't thought of that."

"Can we find out if it worked?" asked Sissi. "My father might be dead by now!"

"Harry?" asked Aelita.

Harry concentrated.

"Or in great shape, giving Odd and Yumi a piece of his mind," said Jeremy.

"He's fine," said Harry. "He's unconscious but alive."

Ulrich

The three stood over him.

"It worked," said Yumi.

"Yeah, but it wrecked my mobile," said Ulrich as he looked at it. "Let's get to the factory."

They ran out of the cold room. Delmas woke up with the eye of Xana still in his eyes.

Lab

"Oh no. what rotten luck," said Jeremy.

"Jeremy." Jeremy looked at Sissi who punched him.

"Nice job! Where'd you learn to punch like that?" asked Aelita.

"I took pencak silat classes, to impress Harry! But it didn't work…" explained Sissi. "Why did you ask me to do that?"

"I have to help Yumi, Odd and Ulrich. Only Harry and I can deactivate towers. Jeremy would have never let me go."

"Uh oh."

"What Harry?" asked Sissi.

"I was wrong about Mr Delmas being fine. He's alive but Xana is still in control."

"Harry, can you instruct Sissi on how to virtualise someone?" asked Aelita.

"Uh, sure."

"Thank you." Aelita ran to the scanners. "Ok, you can start now."

"Are you sure about this?" asked Sissi.

"Yes. You can start."

"Ok Sissi. Start by transferring Aelita."

Aelita's ID card appeared.

"Now you can scan her."

Aelita started to be scanned into the computer.

"Now put in the coordinates I gave you. Then press enter."

Aelita appeared on Lyoko. Harry grinned as they started to run. They eventually got shot at buy Kankrelats. Harry threw three shuriken and they exploded.

"Man, the quality of Xana's monsters have gone down," he complained. "I don't even need my special shuriken."

He paused and swiped. The bridge collapsed.

Factory

The three ran over the bridge as Delmas jumped on.

"Go on. I'll take care of him," said Ulrich. He kicked Delmas and the other two ran past as Delmas electrocuted Ulrich.

Lyoko

Harry and Aelita slid down the path.

"Where are the monsters?" asked Harry. "Xana knows it takes more than three to get rid of me."

They slid out to a rough landing.

"You alright Aelita?" asked Harry as he helped her up and looked around. "Well, there are my monsters."

He ran out to meet the swarm head on.

"What are you doing Harry?" asked Sissi.

"Being Harry," said Aelita as she turned to see a Scyphozoa. "Uh oh. I'd better run."

She ran away from the jellyfish lookalike. Harry finished with the monster swarm and groaned. "That was Xana's plan separate us."

He ran towards Aelita but the second blocked his way. He dodged round it and continued to run as he loaded up the Overjet.

"What's this?" asked Sissi as she saw the Overjet load.

"My vehicle."

He jumped in it and flew alongside Aelita. "Jump in."

Aelita jumped on and the Scyphozoa grabbed her.

Harry groaned again and turned as the Scyphozoa started to drain her memory.

Jeremy woke up.

"I think there's a problem," said Sissi.

"My head."

"Well…Aelita is there in…in the video game, and there's some kind of giant squid!" continued Sissi. "I think Harry's trying to free her."

"What? Oh no. Aelita? Are you crazy?"

Odd and Yumi appeared.

"To Lyoko, fast!"

"What about my father? Is he alright?" asked Sissi.

"Couldn't be better! He's outside playing with Ulrich!" said Odd.

Lyoko

The two appeared at the same time as the Overboard and Overbike. They raced off.

"Aelita's on the plateau ahead," said Jeremy.

"Take the tunnel, I'll keep going straight!" said Yumi as they came to the slope.

"Read you loud and clear, chief!" said Odd. They separated.

"Hurry up!" cried Jeremy as Aelita's memory continued to go down. Harry jumped off the Overjet and hacked at the tentacles holding her. The Scyphozoa drooped her. The second one picked up Harry and started to attempt to take control of him.

"They do care about me…" muttered Harry. "I wish to lead a normal life. I'm not a slave! I know that but I don't want to!"

Odd and Yumi appeared. Yumi picked up Aelita.

"Will you be alright?"

"Yes."

"Saddle up." Aelita jumped on the Overwing.

"What about Harry?" asked Aelita. "He needs help too. I know he can resist but I don't think he can do it forever."

Yumi threw her fans at the Scyphozoa and cut the tentacles off. Harry dropped and sighed in relief.

"Thanks Yumi."

Harry jumped onto the Overjet and climbed into the seat. They flew off.

"The activated tower should be right in front of you," said Jeremy. "Hurry. Ulrich must be taking a beating. Sissi… Sissi?"

The girl had disappeared.

"Jeremy, there's no activated tower here," said Yumi.

"The scan picked it up. It has to be there," said Jeremy. "Your pals the Tarantulas are there!"

"Thanks for the tip," said Odd.

"That looks interesting," said Harry as he flew down a tunnel in the middle of the plateau. "The Tarantulas are guarding it so it must be important."

Odd got hit as a Tarantula followed Harry. He circled around them and shot one. It blew up, as always. He was shot at again but he brought up his shield.

"Remind me to thank Harry for this."

A shot hit him on the leg and he devirtualised.

"Let's go find Harry," said Yumi as she hit the second tarantula. They flew down the passageway and found Harry facing down the last Tarantula and another Scyphozoa.

"Jeremy, how many fish heads does Xana have?" asked Harry.

"Only two as far as I'm aware."

"Man, they must have quick repair times," said Harry. "There's another one!"

He hit the tarantula and slid past the Scyphozoa into the tower. Yumi threw her fans at the Scyphozoa and it retreated.

Harry rose to the second platform.

Factory

Ulrich jumped into the factory as Delmas tried to electrocute him.

"Banzi!" cried Sissi as she hit her dad with a metal bar.

"Ulrich? Are you ok?" She shook him. Delmas got back up.

"Daddy no!" Delmas started to channel electricity. "Leave him alone."

Sissi got hit with the electricity when Delmas collapsed.

"Ulrich! You alright?" asked Sissi as he woke up.

"Yes, thanks to you."

Sissi walked over to Delmas. "Is he…?"

"No. just knocked out."

"What's going to happen now?" asked Sissi. "With the kidnapping and everything."

"Everything's going to be alright. No-one will remember anything! Neither will you, for that matter," said Ulrich.

"And you?" asked Sissi.

"Oh, I will. For me it's not the same," said Ulrich. Harry appeared.

Harry appeared

"Harry!" cried Sissi as she hugged him. "You're alright! Will you remember?"

Harry nodded. "You get immunity if you have an ID card in the supercomputer.

"Ok, then you'll remember this kiss," said Sissi as she kissed him.

"You can go ahead, Einstein. I wonder which would be worse, being blind or having to see this!" said Odd on the phone.

"See what?" asked Yumi.

"Return to the past now!"

Earlier

"Oh, what do you know?" asked Sissi. "Yumi isn't here with you! Oh, of course not, I just saw her with William! How stupid of me!"

Ulrich smiled and said nothing.

"Ciao!"

Harry stared off into space.

"Uh, Harry? Hello? You still thinking about what happened on the bridge?" asked Jeremy.

"What happened on the bridge?" asked Yumi as she walked over.

"Yeah, what did happen on the bridge?" asked Aelita.

"Nothing!" said Harry quickly.

"Odd?" asked Yumi.

"But it's true! Nothing happened!"

The bell rang.

"Ok. It's time for class again."

"Something smells really fishy… What could they be hiding?" asked Yumi.

"Don't worry, I'm sure it's just another boy thing," said Aelita as they seperated.
