Sabotage
Yumi faced a Krabe in the mountain sector. She jumped over a laser and threw a fan. The Krabe blew up. Ulrich ran around a Tarantula while Odd fired at another Krabe. Sissi hit a Hornet and Harry stabbed a Megatank.
"Odd, how are you doing?" asked Ulrich.
"Shield! I'm just about through with Norbert!"
"Odd, don't tell me you're still giving them stupid names!"
"It's kinda cool," said Harry.
"Do you have any idea what kind of attack it is?" asked Aelita. Harry frowned and placed his hand on the ground.
"That's weird."
"No but I think we're onto it faster than anticipated."
"That's right! When Odd checks in, Xana checks out," said Odd. He jumped up and flickered.
"Stop inflating your ego," called Sissi as she hit another hornet. "But was that meant to happen?"
Harry cursed. "He's attacking the supercomputer."
"This isn't fair!"
"What's happening?" asked Ulrich as he looked at the cat.
"I don't know. I can't move!"
"I'm coming! Super sprint!" he started to run then was devirtualised because he was frozen like Odd.
"We have a problem."
"I can see that," said Jeremy, "I think Harry's right. Xana's attacking the supercomputer."
"Norbert? You're not going to…aah!" "Norbert" was a Krabe, who devirtualised Odd. Yumi flickered.
"Aelita, I'll try to distract them away from you."
Harry jumped up and stabbed them.
"Or Harry does it."
Harry ran into the tower and rose to the second platform.

"The monsters are bugged too," said Jeremy as a Megatank rolled over and flickered.
Lab
"It was really weird," said Aelita. "Like everything had bugged up."
"Well, one reason would be if the software got a bug," said Harry. "But it wasn't us and if it was Xana, he wouldn't affect his own monsters. Another would be if the supercomputer had a problem."arry ran ar
"What, that's all he could come up with?" asked Odd as Harry glared at him. "Hey, you know, you'd better start working on your A game!"
"I suppose that was your A game against your pal Norbert?" asked Ulrich.
"I'll have to carry out some routine checks," said Jeremy. "To be sure that it was Xana's attack. Go on without me. I'll catch up."
"Jeremy, Jim's checking our dorms today," said Harry. "Go tidy up your stuff and I'll do the checks. I can be in three places at ace."
"Can I have your portion?" asked Odd. Jeremy nodded. "Fantastic! Shepherd's pie tonight!"
"Why do I get the feeling that I've been ignored?" asked Harry as he rolled his eyes.
"This will only take a few minutes."
Harry sighed. "I think I can turn one of my clones into you…"
He tried it and looked at a second Jeremy.
"That's freaky," said Ulrich as he looked between the two Jeremys.
"No Kiwi," said Odd as he rubbed the dog's head. "Tonight, you stay here. The last thing we need is for Jim to find you. My little diggity dog."
Kadic
"Now then," said Jim as he walked up the corridor. "Let me remind you that your room should be in impeccable order. Keeping your room neat and clean is a cinequa…uh…si-nee-qua-tuh…what do you call it? Cine-"
"-matography?" suggested Odd.
"Right! No, that's not it… Oh, anyway… is the important part of a good night's sleep. He who sleeps well lives well. That is why man wasn't meant to live in a garbage dump."
The clone sniggered and Harry nudged it. Jim looked at them suspiciously.
Lab
"What is all this stuff about?" asked Jeremy as the computer beeped. "It's getting weirder."
"Want any help?" asked Harry. "And I suggest you get down to the dorms quickly. It's inspection time."
"I have to check the supercomputer."
They walked down to it and looked at the circuits.
"That shouldn't be damaged," said the clone.
"This is sabotage. Someone's been here."
"And they have to know which circuits to damage," said the clone. "That narrows it down."
They ran back up and looked at the security footage. They watched a man damage the circuits by passing electricity through it. The man looked behind him and his eyes flashed with the eye of Xana.
"I was right."
"You mean, the original was right," said Jeremy.
"That's what I said. The boss tidied up the room just so you know."
The next day
"Sabotage?" asked Aelita in disbelief.
"Yes. By Michael Rouiller, possessed by Xana. That was what yesterday's attack was. The bugs that prevented you from fighting was caused was caused by the drop in calculating capacity of the supercomputer."
"What?" asked Sissi.
"The bugs was caused by the supercomputer not being able to perform enough calculations," explained Harry.
"What a mess," said Yumi. "Think you can fix it?"
"Yes," said Jeremy as he took a bite of croissant. "It has to be done quickly though."
"Well, looks like I'm the man for the job," said Harry as he grinned.
"How come?" asked Ulrich.
"It's simple: the internal circuit have been badly damaged. Right now the quantum bites are collapsing one after the other. The drop in computing speed will become more and more serious right up until…" explained Jeremy.
"Stop. Reader's digest version, how much time do we have?" interrupted Ulrich.
"Three hours."
"That's more than enough time," said Harry.
"Are you sure that the whole thing has been destroyed?" asked Aelita.
"Definitely. It's already lost a lot of speed. I even tried to launch a return to the past to see. No way. It didn't work. I need to pick up some stuff from my room then I'll head back over. Harry, can you do the same trick you did last night?"
Harry nodded.
"Sorry guys but I have to go now," said Yumi as she stood up. "Chardin is taking us to see an exhibit. See ya. Keep me posted."
"Belpois! Stern!"
"Did you have time to clean your room?" asked Ulrich.
"You mean…since last week? No way."
"I managed to clean most of it up," said Harry.
"On your feet now!"
"What's up?" asked Harry.
"Have you seen the stat of your room?"
Harry's and Jeremy's dorm
The room was in complete disarray. Clothing, books, CDs, paper, magazines everywhere. Boxes threatened to collapse near the door, cans on the desk and even a pair of briefs on his keyboard.
"What do you call this, Belpois?!" yelled Jim.
"Uh…it's called my room…"
"His doesn't make any sense," said Harry as he frowned. "I cleaned it up."
"I saw him," said Sissi. "Someone must have messed it up."
"You ought to be ashamed. You're not leaving this room until this mess is tidy! Do you understand?"
Jeremy slipped Aelita a box while Jim wasn't looking.
"And those things, what are they?" asked Jim as he lifted Jeremy's mattress to find…
"Uh, computer magazines," said Jeremy as he scratched his head.
"Our Einstein really is a geek, isn't he?" asked Odd.
"What are you four doing here?" asked Jim.
"We thought that they'd be able to use some help," said Ulrich.
"They can do it themselves without anyone's help! Go to your class! Now!"
"There's no way that Jim's going to get off Harry's and Jeremy's back," said Ulrich as they walked out.
"Yeah, three hours and its goodbye supercomputer," said Odd then he jumped as Harry appeared.
"Go back invisible," said Ulrich quickly. "We don't want Jim seeing you. When did you make the clone?"
"A while back."
"Harry is so sneaky," said Sissi as she poked him.
"I can try to fix it," said Aelita as she held the box up. "I think that was what Jeremy was thinking when he gave me this."
"Do you think you can fix it?" asked Ulrich.
"I can try to limit the damage done. We don't have a choice and Harry can help me. Go to class and tell them I got sick from…the shepherd's pie! I'll let you know if we come up with anything."
"Good luck, Princess," said Odd as they ran off.
Yumi
"Sir? Uh, the bus is late! When's it going to come?" asked William as he slouched against the gate.
"There isn't any, we are going to walk! Anything for art!"
Harry's and Jeremy's dorm
Jim spoke in his sleep as Harry whizzed around the room.
"Jim?"
"What do you want?" asked Jim as he woke up. Harry slowed as he listened.
"We heard that a student had failed his dorm room inspection," said Milly. "Could you tell us who it is?"
"Most certainly not. I won't mention any names, especially when it comes to Jeremy Belpois and Harry Stern."
The computer started to beep as Harry finished tidying his items. He glanced at it.
"A Xana attack? Now?" asked Jeremy in disbelief. "Jim! Finished!"
Jim poked his head in.
"Is it alright if we go now?"
The wardrobe opened and tons of items fell out. Jim glared at Jeremy.
Lab
Kiwi barked as the two entered the lab. Harry rubbed his head.
"Xana's attacking."
"I can see that," said Aelita as she glanced at the screen. She called Ulrich.
Kadic
"Aelita? Ok. On our way." He ended the call. "Xana's attacking. We're going in. I'll tell Yumi."
Yumi
"Breathe deeply! Nothing like taking in a breath of fresh air before taking in some fine art," said Mr Chardin as they walked along the pavement. Yumi answered the call.
"What?!"
"Which part of the museum are you going to visit first, huh William? The impressionists, or the pop art?" asked a boy.
"Neither, the gift shop! I'm going to try to get something for Yumi. What would you like Yumi?" He turned around. Yumi had disappeared. "Huh. Well, as usual, she couldn't wait to give me the slip."
Yumi ran through the woods.
Supercomputer
Harry pulled out the damaged circuits and replaced them with new ones.
Ulrich
"Do you think that Harry and Aelita hive fixed the computer yet?" asked Odd as they ran.
"We'll find out soon enough. Ouch!"
"Hey, what happened?" asked Odd as roots started to cover Ulrich. The same thing happened to Odd. "Got any sunblock?"
"Odd! Try to free my hand," said Ulrich as the roots tightened. "Sissi, run."
Sissi ran but was tripped up by the roots and trapped.
"What, are you joking? First I'd love to be able to move my own!"
Harry's and Jeremy's dorm
Jeremy placed a box on a shelf.
"Alright now, get to class and hurry it up."
"Thanks Jim. See ya." The two boys ran off. The boxes fell off.
"Belpois! Stern! Get back here right now!"
They had already gone.
Yumi
The girl caught her breath as she leant against a tree. She heard a noise and ran on. Yumi froze as she stumbled over a root. She ran in another direction as the roots followed her.
Supercomputer
"Harry's fixing it up now," said Aelita into her phone as she glanced at the boy. "He is good at this sort of stuff. The others? No I don't know. Ok then. Hurry up."
Ulrich
"Here they are." Jeremy ran over.
"Pretty good timing."
Jeremy noticed a shovel and grabbed it. He raised it above his head.
"Uh, watch it, Einstein! Co-ordination's never been your thing!" cried Odd. Jeremy started to cut through the roots.
"Nice one," said Ulrich. Roots started to curl around Jeremy.
"Ulrich! Run! Join Harry and Aelita and deactivate the tower! Hurry!"
Ulrich ran. He made it into the manhole just in time.
Lab
"Where are the others?" asked Aelita as Ulrich entered.
"Jeremy and Odd are kinda tied up. We'll have to do without them. Yumi isn't here yet?"
"No."
Ulrich quickly pulled out his phone and rang Yumi.
Yumi
"Ulrich? Same here. These stupid roots are blocking the way. Oh no. Don't wait for me. Ah!"
A root pulled her over and more restrained her. Another slipped under her top and up to her ace. She snapped some roots and was dragged by the ankle. Yumi grabbed a ledge and strained against the root that threatened to drag her into the gap.
Lab
"Yumi! She's in trouble Aelita."
"Ok, I'll started the delayed virtualisation program."
Aelita selected their avatars.
"Did you manage to fix the supercomputer?"
"Yep," said Harry. "It might be temporary until I can fix the rest of the circuits."
"Here we go," said Aelita as she finished the process. They went down in the elevator and entered a scanner as the countdown hit zero.
Lyoko
They started to run towards the tower.
Jeremy
"How're we going to get out of this one?" asked Jeremy.
"Just like we said," said Odd as he rolled his eyes.
"But we didn't say anything!"
"That's why we have a problem!"
"Set the roots on fire?" suggested Sissi.
"That's a stupid idea."
"I don't see you coming up with any!"
"Oh!" Jeremy exclaimed as the roots flickered. "Hold on, I think I may have an idea!"
"That's great. I'm drying to hear it," said Odd.
"No time! But when I give you the signal, you've gotta try with all of your might to get yourself free, ok?"
"I should try to get free?" asked Odd incredulously. "I could've thought of that without your help!"
"You've gotta trust me, Odd, Sissi!"
"Can't you think of something more convincing to say for once?"
"Well, we haven't got any other plans," said Sissi. The roots flickered.
"Now!"
They slipped through.
"Let's get out of here!"
Lyoko
"Ok, two tarantulas. Not exactly the end of the world," said Ulrich as they peered out from behind a rock.
"Xana knows that monsters are basically cannon fodder when sent against me," said Harry as he frowned. "What is he planning?"
"Should we use force?" asked Aelita.
"Is there any other way?" asked Ulrich.
"Our brain."
"Don't have any! Supersprint, yeah!" Ulrich ran off and the tarantula's fired on him. Aelita ran out the other way and one fired at her. Harry flicked a shuriken at it and it blew up. Ulrich turned black and white and disappeared. He reappeared behind the monster.
"Since I'm in black and white, might as well fight the old-fashioned way! En garde!" He slit the monster's nose. "Touché!"
He cut the legs and then stabbed it. Aelita started to flicker as a third tarantula advanced on her. "Not now!"
The monsters flickered as well.
"Cool!" Aelita hit hers with an energy field and ran.
"What happened?" asked Ulrich as they regrouped.
"Nothing special. The bugs affect the monsters as well," said Aelita.
"That makes things even for once."
"How come the bugs don't affect me?" asked Harry. The other two shrugged.
"He has a point," said Aelita thoughtfully. "The bugs should be affecting him more due to the calculations needed for his abilities."
They ran back out and Ulrich deflected the shots with his sword. Harry threw shuriken at the monsters which blew up. Five more appeared behind them and fired. Harry dodged the shots but the others weren't so lucky.
Lab
"Get to the scanner room!" ordered Jeremy as he ran to the terminal.
"Yes sir!"
Lyoko
"How many life points do you think we have left?" asked Ulrich.
"I have less than you Ulrich," said Aelita.
"And I probably got more than both of you," said Harry.
"That's right. You'd better watch it."
"Gland to hear you Jeremy," said Harry as he smiled.
"Odd and Sissi are coming to the rescue. Scanner Odd. Scanner Sissi. Virtualisation."
"Triplicate!" Nothing happened and Ulrich was hit. Aelita created a block of ice and dropped it on the tarantula's head. Harry stabbed another tarantula before throwing a shuriken at another. Several Krabes marched over.
"Alright, any last words before we get devirtualised?" asked Ulrich.
"Laser arrow!" Odd flew over their heads.
"Oh, that's what I wanted to hear! Good to see you, Odd!"
Yumi
"Help! Anyone! Help me!" yelled Yumi. She was pulled into the gap and fell against a larger root. Yumi moaned as she fell unconscious. The roots started to cover her. She screamed when she woke up.
Lyoko
The Overboard disappeared and Sissi fell to the ground.
"Ouch!"
"The supercomputer is losing more and more power. You'll have to go on foot."
"I managed to do most of the repairs but the supercomputer needs restarting," said Harry. "With the tower activated, I couldn't do that."
"Get to the tower as fast as you can. I'll check what Harry has done, see if there's anything else that can be done."
"We haven't heard from Yumi," said Ulrich worriedly as they flickered more and more.
"I'll do everything I can. Just deactivate that stupid tower!"
"Here comes another Mega-Problem," said Odd as a Megatank rolled up. Harry tried to pull out a shuriken that could pierce its shell but it flickered and faded. Odd ran on all fours but was frozen. Aelita created a barrier to protect him from the monster's laser. Odd flopped to the ground.
"Ouch!"
"That had to hurt," said Sissi as they ran over to him.
"How are you doing Einstein?" asked Odd. "We can't get to the tower without bugging!"
"I have to reboot the supercomputer but I don't have enough juice. If we deactivate the tower, I could use its energy to reboot the system."
"That's fine but we can't deactivate the tower without you rebooting the system," said Harry. "I'm a lot slower than I'm used to."
Jeremy groaned as the four dodged the Megatank. Harry hit the last tarantula and the last Krabe.
"There is one way to do it," said Aelita as she looked at a way tower.
"Go on, I'm listening!"
"Destroy the Ice Sector."
"Good old Aelita! Even during the worst of times she keeps her sense of humour," said Odd cheerfully before realising that she's serious. "Uh…you mean you weren't kidding?"
"That's crazy," said Jeremy.
"You sure about that?" asked Sissi.
"It would work though," said Harry. They ran for the way tower.
"It's the only way to avoid the total destruction of the supercomputer," said Aelita. "If that happens, Lyoko disappears and us with it. We don't have a choice and it would automatically deactivate the tower."
"She's right. Go on. Who's doing it?"
"I will," said Harry. "I know the code."
"When I restart the system, I won't be able to rematerialse you. You'll have to do it on your own. Two of you should come back now."
"Let me return," said Sissi as she raised her hand. Harry shrugged and stabbed her then looked at the other three. Aelita raised her hand. Harry stabbed her before entering the tower. Odd and Ulrich jumped over a laser.
Harry rose to the second platform and pressed his hand to the screen.

Xana
The tower disappeared and Harry fell to the ground. They ran as the Megatank fell into the digital sea.
"Right, listen up. Harry, you take care of Odd. Odd, you zap me. On three. One..." said Ulrich.
"Uh, hold it! We zap each other on three, or do we count to three and then zap each other?" asked Odd.
"You always pull this on me, Odd! No, we zap each other on three, ok? One…"
"Wait! Aelita, don't miss, ok?" asked Odd.
"Odd!"
"Ok, ok!"
"One…two…three!"
They devirtualised at the same time.
"The activated tower has disappeared. Reboot system."
"And three?" asked Odd as they reappeared in the scanner.
Yumi
Yumi climbed out the hole.
Later
"Right, the repairs are only temporary, but at least they'll let us keep on fighting Xana," said Jeremy as they sat in Harry's and Jeremy's dorm.
"We managed to save the Supercomputer," said Aelita
"You did great, Aelita! Sissi's right to call you Mrs Einstein," said Odd. Sissi giggled.
"Don't forget that this last little adventure of ours cost us the Ice Sector," pointed out Yumi.
"It is a shame. We're going to have to find a way to virtualise you directly into sector five," said Jeremy.
"It's possible," said Harry. "The fake Franz did do it that one time."
"Don't worry, as long as the Mountain Sector stays together, there's still hope," reassured Odd.
"Yeah, but for how long?" asked Ulrich as he tended to Yumi's cuts.
"For as long as possible," said Harry.
"Hey! I didn't know you had the solutions for Bug Fire Attack! You mind?" asked Odd as he walked to the shelf.
"Careful not to knock anything over. Jim is coming back tomorrow to do another inspec…" All the boxes on the shelf fell on Jeremy and the floor. Harry groaned.
"Sorry! Uh, you were saying?" asked Odd.
"Forget it."
