Triple Trouble

"Oh…oh no, missed again!" moaned Odd as he fired. He flew over the Bloks as Harry tripped up a Krabe. The Bloks fired on Aelita who ran to the tower before pausing.

"Watch out. If the Scyphozoa pulls Harry or Aelita into the way tower, we can say goodbye to the mountain sector! Then it's bye bye Lyoko too."

"We've got the picture Einstein," said Odd. Ulrich rode the Overbike onto the path Aelita was on. He jumped off it and started to deflect the lasers. Harry ran forward and stabbed the Bloks. Sissi hit a Kankrelat. Yumi threw her fan at the Scyphozoa which made it back off.

"Hey! What am I here, a groupie?!" asked Odd.

Scanners sometime later

"That makes twelve for me! Anyone top that?" asked Ulrich.

"I got ten. Yumi?" asked Aelita.

"Oh, not many. Only fifteen. Odd? How many of Xana's monsters did you wipe out this week?" asked Yumi.

"Two…"

"That's all?" asked Yumi in surprise. "What's going on? What's your problem?"

"You know darn well! You all got superpowers: telekinesis, Supersprint, Triplicate, you can all make stuff appear. Harry even brings his to the real world. Me? I've got zilch. The only power I ever had was Future Flash, and it got wiped out when Jeremy was updating the Supercomputer. And he never reprogrammed it because it was, I quote, "useless." So just knock it off with your high scores and low scores, ok?"

Jeremy listened in sadly.

"Don't feel bad Odd," said Sissi as she tried to comfort him. "I can only fly and shoot an energy beam."
"You can still fly on your own."

"Don't forget I programed that beam from your tail," said Harry. "I don't think you've ever used it."

Kadic

Odd brushed past the group and placed a coin in the machine.

"He's still sulking I guess," said Yumi.

"I don't believe it! Is the whole world trying to bring me down or what?" yelled Odd as the machine didn't dispense a cup.

"Hey…look, I'm on your side. I put a little something together that's bound to cheer you up," said Jeremy as he placed a hand oh Odd's shoulder.

"I hope it's nothing to eat because you're an awful cook!"

"No, it's a special power just for you and nobody else! Teleportation," said Jeremy. "Well, Harry might accidentally pick it up but you know he can't' control that power."

"You're the best, Einstein! If I were a girl, I'd propose to you immediately!"

Lyoko

Odd landed in the mountain sector.

"I'm standing by Jeremy!"

"This new power will allow you to travel instantaneously over short distances," explained Jeremy.

"Cool. How does it work?"

"First, you have to visualise where you want to go."

"Like that big mountain for instance?" asked Odd as he looked at it.

"Sure. Why not? Next, you activate the power by saying the word teleportation."

"Ok. Teleportation." Odd disappeared in a green light and reappeared on the mountain. "Wow! Fantastic!"

"No, not fantastic at all," said Aelita as she looked at where Odd had been.

"Uh oh. Looks like something bugged up," said Jeremy.

"Ok, I'll do it again," said Odd.

"No! Wait!" yelled Aelita as she waved her arms.

"Teleportation." He reappeared next to Aelita. "Yoohoo! Aren't you happy to see me?"

"Yeah, but honestly one of you would've been enough! Look up there," said Aelita as she pointed. There was a second Odd on the mountain. "…and there…"

There was a third Odd where he first teleported from.

"Jeremy, I take back my marriage proposal!"

"Nobody panic. It's only a minor bug," said Jeremy. "I'll rematerialse you."

Scanners

The scanner opened on an Odd seemingly in terrible condition, moaning. He fell into Jeremy's arms half unconscious. "Ooohhhh…"

"Ah! What's wrong?!" asked Jeremy.

"I…I…fooled you that time, didn't I?! Haha!"

"Unbelievable…what a total meathead!" muttered Ulrich.

A second scanner opened and a second Odd comes out, seeming to be in as bad a condition as the first.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaahh! Aaah! Aaaaah!"

"…we know, fooled us that time," said Jeremy.

"How'd you know what I was going to say?" asked the second Odd.

The third scanner opened and a third Odd comes out making the same performance as the two others, but stops in the middle of it seeing his display has had no effect.

"What's wrong? What's going on?" asked the third Odd. He was startled when he saw the two others.

Lab

"Look on the bright side: now you've got two more great buddies," said Odd.

"That's right!" said the other two Odds.

"Get real! That's three times as many bad jokes," said Ulrich.

"And two too many Odd Della Robbias at school," said Yumi.

"And I bet you might start to disintegrate," said Harry.

"Why don't two of the Odds lay low here while the other goes to school so people don't get suspicious?" asked Aelita.

"Good idea," said Jeremy. "I'll stay here and try to find out what went wrong."

"No way José! It's lunch time, and we're starved. It's meatballs and gravy time," said one of the Odds. The four others looked appalled.

"What if we hid in my room, and went to the lunchroom one at a time?" suggested the original Odd.

"Great idea! Nice one, Odd!" said the other two Odds.

"Thanks a lot, guys! I thought of it so me first."

"No way! I'm too hungry to wait!" complained another Odd.

"Forget it. Me first, I'm starved," said the third.

"Msn, this is about as confusing as when Harry uses triplicate on earth and ten times as bad," said Ulrich. "Harry's clones are useful as a way of sending messages and they don't tell bad jokes. Leave this to me. Eni meni mini moe, catch Odd Della Robbia by the toe. You go."

"Yeah!"

Dorm hallway

"Yo Jimbo, how's it going?" asked the second Odd as he entered his dorm.

"Fine! Thank you, Della Robbia! But watch your toe, don't get too familiar, the name's Jim!"

"Yo Jimbo! How's it going?" asked the third Odd as he passed Jim.

"Fine! Thank you, Della Robbia! But watch your toe, don't…huh?!"

Lunch Hall

"Hey Jimbo! How's it going?" asked Odd.

"Uh…I'm…not that great…actually I think I might even…go lie down for a little while…" Jim backed away. Rosa served Odd a portion of meatballs and gravy.

"Rosa! You look beautiful today! Have you ever thought of becoming like, like a model or something? Because you're-"

"Save it, will ya, Odd? I'll give you an extra helping, just spare me the baloney!"

Odd sat down and scoffed his food. The others stared at him in disgust.

"What? I can't keep my friends waiting now, can I?"

He walked out.

"Big eater, huh?" asked Harry of no one in particular.

Odd's and Ulrich's dorm

Kiwi barked as the two Odd's played with him.

"Next," said Odd as he entered the room.

Lunch Hall

"Rosa, you look beautiful today," said the second Odd as he walked over with a tray.

"Don't push it, Odd! You already got a huge plate of meatballs! I'll give you some more potatoes, but that's it. Move on!"

He sat down and ate the food. He even licked the tray.

Odd's and Ulrich's dorm

"Your turn!"

Lunch Hall

"Rosa!"

"Alright, not another word! That's it! If the other kids ate as much as you do, the lunchroom would've gone under a long time ago!"

He didn't get any food.

Odd's and Ulrich's dorm

"Hey, gym class starts in five minutes," said Ulrich as he passed the three Odds. "Who's going?"

"Who's the lucky winner?" asked one Odd.

"Count me out," said another. "It's not good exercising on a full stomach. I don't want to be sick."

"Full stomach? You had so many helpings, we had to go hungry!"

"That's right, you selfish hog!"

"Me? Selfish? After I wolfed down my lunch as fast as I could? If that's how you feel, I'm out of here!"

He picked up the phone and stormed off. Ulrich had already left.

"Yeah, well, I'm going to the movies," said another Odd as he stood up and closed his magazine. "Now I have clones like Harry, I can skip class and get away with it."

"Not so fast. I haven't eaten anything so I'm going and you're going to class."

"Are you kidding me?"

He pulled his draw out and picked up money.

"Hey! That's my money!"

"No way! It's mine!"

Odd snatched it from his clone. Harry poked his head in.

"This is so confusing. At least wit my clones, they do what they're told to."

"That's because they're designed to be servants!"

"Go on then! I hope you choke on your burger!" yelled the last Odd as the other one walked out. There was a few coins left and he picked them up.

Outside

"Della Robbia?" asked Jim as the clone walked outside. "I must've seen you everywhere today, except in gym class! So listen up, young man: get to the gym now and work up a sweat or you're going to have something else to sweat about!"

The clone moaned as he walked away. Another Odd walked out of the school. He lay down under a tree.

Class

"Contrary to what some of you smart Alecs might believe, throwing a discus has nothing to do with throwing out a CD that you're tired of listening to! No, it is an Olympic discipline that requires strength, skill, muscular co-ordination and, above all, a discus," said Jim.

Lab

Harry and Jeremy looked through the program.

"Uh oh. You were right Harry."

Town

"Hello. Uh, what do you have in cheap movie guide magazines?" asked Odd as he walked over to the vendor.

"Well, the cheapest one is a buck and a half. I've got one left."

"Nothing for seventy-five cents?" asked Odd desperately.

"Uh-uh."

He made to leave but stopped short, taking one of the magazines in question. He opened it and skim reads.

"Wheelchair Zombie 4 beginning at 2:30, great!"

"What do you think you're doing?" asked the vendor. "This isn't a public library!"

Odd

Odd took his time answering his phone as he continued to lounge against a tree.

"This had better be important, Jeremy."

"I found how to solve this teleportation bug problem: the three of you each have to get into a scanner together, in order to fuse you back into one during the virtualisation," explained Jeremy.

"Ok, I get it. For once it sounds really easy!"

"I wish it was, but…there's a little problem. Your three entities are unstable. At a certain point, all three of you could disappear into thin air, understand?!" asked Jeremy.

"That's horrible! What do we have to do?!"

"Het back to the computer lab right now. You and the terrible twins. If any of you is missing, the fusion is impossible."

"Ok, I'll go find them."

Class

"A circuit im series is different to a circuit in parallel," said Ms Hertz. "In that if a single bulb is missing from the circuit, it well cut the flow of electricity. Watch this demonstration."

She removed a light bulb and smoke seeped out from the empty socket. It shot out of the window and into the ground near Jim.

"Let's put this into practice," said Jim. "Our throws speak louder than words. So here's a demonstration for you."

Lab

The Superscan came up with an activated tower.

"Oh great. That's all we need."

Jeremy called Yumi.

"Do you want me to go over?" asked Harry.

"Wait for the others."

Class

Yumi raised her phone to her ear and listened. "Ok Jeremy. I'm on it."

Outside

"Alright, you bend your knees like this," said Jim as he demonstrated. Smoke crept along the ground. "It keeps your weight in balance. Hold your arm outstretched like this."

"Behind you Jim," said Herb as he stood up. "There's something weird just behind you. Look!"

"Listen Herb, I was not born yesterday. What are you trying to pull?"

The smoke touched Jim and he turned to stone. The class laughter. Herb turned to stone too.

"This is Xana's going," said Ulrich. "Let's get to the factory."

The four ran as the rest of the class got petrified. Odd tripped and was petrified too.

"Odd!

"We have to get him out of here," said Aelita.

"Ok! You wouldn't happen to have a pair of wings on you?" asked Ulrich.

"Heavy lifting. Ugh!" groaned Sissi.

"What we have to do is deactivate the tower," said Yumi as she placed her hands on her hips. "If we stay here, we all end up as statues. The north entrance is still a no smoke zone."

"I'll tell Jeremy," said Ulrich as they started to run.

Lab

"Yes Ulrich? Petrified? Where? That means a change of plans."

"What's happening?" asked Harry.

"Xana's petrifying people using smoke."

Odd's and Ulrich's dorm

Odd opened the door. Kiwi stood and wagged his tail as Odd's phone rang.

"Jeremy? What? That's all we need. What's more, the other me isn't in my room."

"Well, you'd better find him. Number three is petrified on campus. Else you'd never be able to become reunited and become one and the same."

"Great idea but how should I know where he is?" asked Odd.

"Odd, you're the same person," said Harry. "Go where you would go."

"Me? Well, I would be at the movies or at Prestoburger."

"There you go. Now you know where to look."

"Ok."

Lab

"We're here Jeremy," said Aelita.

"Ok. I'll start up the visualisation process. Harry, go to the scanners."

Harry called the elevator and went down to the scanners.

"Transfer Aelita. Transfer Ulrich. Transfer Yumi. Scanner Yumi. Scanner Aelita. Scanner Ulrich. Virtualisation."

Town

"Movie or Prestoburger? Movie or Prestoburger? Movie or Prestoburger?" Odd muttered to himself as he walked past the vendor.

"Not you again! Get over here! I want to give you a piece of my mind!"

"What's that, you mean I've been here already?" asked Odd.

"Well yeah! And if you're planning to read another movie magazine for free, you'd better think again!"

"You mean like this magazine here?" asked Odd as he picked up the one his clone did.

"Yeah! You'd better cough up the money, because you're not going to scam me again!"

"Surfer Zombie 4 at 2:30 at the Majestic…!" Odd put the magazine back and ran off.

"Hey! Where are you going?! GET BACK HERE!"

Lyoko

Harry and Sissi dropped down next to the other three.

"The activated tower is over there," said Aelita as he pointed at it.

"Where are the monsters?" asked Harry as he looked around. "This looks too easy."

"They'll turn up," said Ulrich as they jogged down the path. A Megatank rolled in front of the tower and fired. They jumped out of the way. Yumi didn't make it in time and devirtualised.

"Well, there's your monster," said Sissi.

Town

"Can't I have two minutes on my own?!" asked the second Odd as the original odd placed his hand on its shoulder.

"No, because we need each other's company!"

Kadic

They ran onto the grounds.

"Well, they say smoking's dangerous for your health," said Odd 2 as they saw the smoke and petrified people.

"Better not hang around. Where's Odd number three?"

"On the other side of the science building according to Jeremy. I guess the best way to go is up."

Lyoko

The Megatank fired again and they hid behind two rocks. It fired several more times.

"It's crazy. We can't move. We're stuck!"

Harry pulled out a shuriken and threw it. It passed through the Megatank's shell and blew it up. Another one rolled up behind them.

"Harry, Aelita, get going!"

They started to run down the narrow path.

Kadic

The two Odds ran out onto the roof. The looked down.

"He's right down there. Now we have to bring him back."

"Well if Tarzan can do it, so can we, right?" asked Odd as he pointed at a hose pipe reel.

"Just what I was thinking!"

One grabbed the hose and started to climb down the side of the building. He reached down and tied the hose to the petrified Odd.

"We're good. Pull us up!"

They started to rise. They eventually reached the top.

"Thanks a lot."

"The pleasure's all mine. What do we do now?"

"We have to get back to the smoke free section down there." Odd 2 pointed at it.

"I've got an idea," said Odd.

"I think I just read your mind!"

Odd jumped off with the hose tied around his waist.

"Ok, your turn!" The other Odd swung down with the petrified Odd in his arms. "It works!"

"Of course it does! What do you expect?

"Better than Tarzan!"

The dropped down and ran to the manhole with the smoke following them.

Lyoko

Ulrich ran at the Megatank, dodging its lasers. He hid behind a rock. Sissi flew up.

"Supersprint!"

Ulrich shot down the path. Sissi fired but missed. Ulrich reached it and stabbed it. It exploded. Harry and Aelita skidded to a halt as Krabes blocked their path. Harry pulled out another shuriken and threw it. It curved and hit the symbol on its back. Aelita threw an energy field and another Krabe blew up. Another Megatank rolled up and devirtualised Ulrich's sword.

Ulrich ran back down to the path. Aelita sent an energy field at it but it just hit the Megatank's shell.

"Superspri- ah!" Ulrich was run over by the Megatank which then focused on Sissi. It opened and Sissi fired. It shut just before the attack hit.

"It's not just enough that they shoot at us, now they try to run us over," muttered Ulrich as he exited the scanner.

Kadic

Odd pulled the manhole cover up as the smoke advanced.

"Hurry up!"

They slipped inside just before the smoke reached them.

"Oops. Sorry." They picked the third odd up. "Sometimes it pays to have a head as hard as a rock."

Lab

"You need to hurry up," said Jeremy as more monsters turned up.

"It's not exactly a picnic over here Jeremy," said Harry as he hit another Megatank. It exploded. "This reminds me of when Xana sent those swarms against me."

Sissi was hit by another Megatank and devirtualised.

Factory

The two Odd lifted the petrified Odd onto the bridge. They gulped as the smoke approached and ran down the bridge.

"To think I'd do anything to get out of gym." Yumi and Ulrich ran over. "About time. Any longer and I's have gone to the missing persons bureau."

The smoke followed them into the factory.

Lab

"We're ok Jeremy. The Della Robbia trio have been reunited."

"Perfect. Transfer Odd! Transfer Odd! Transfer Odd! Scanner Odd! Scanner Odd! Scanner Odd! Virtualisation!"

Lyoko

A single Odd materialised.

"Well, Odd?" asked Jeremy.

"I suddenly feel a little lonely! But that's cool, you're the best, Einstein!"

"Of course I am! Did you have any doubt?" asked a pleased Jeremy.

"I suggest you get going," said Sissi.

Harry

Harry shot the final Krabe then groaned as another Megatank rolled up. Aelita tried to hit it with an energy field but it hit the shell. Odd arrived and hit it with his laser arrows. Harry ran into the tower and rose to the second platform.

The smoke dispersed.

"Is everything ok Jeremy?"

"No sweat. Just have to launch the return to the past."

The white light spread out.

Earlier

"I've finally understood what went wrong with the teleportation process. If you want, I could reboot the program, with no bugs this time," said Jeremy as Odd ate his food.

"No thanks!"

"Are you sure?" asked Jeremy.

"Yep! I sure am! You saw that last battle of mine, huh? I am a top gun, a real fighting machine! I mean, a guy like me doesn't need special powers," said Odd proudly. Harry rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, you're strong, very funny and handsome, but most of all, you're modest," joked Yumi.

"Right! You hit the nail right on the head! In fact, you might say that I'm…one of a kind!"

"I think someone has a big ego," said Sissi.
