Jack POV
My eyes began to open after a night's sleep. It was taking me a while to shake this sleep from my system. I went to Afterlife yesterday with Nate, James, Garrus and Jacob. Found out that Garrus and that Quarian chick with the nice hips Tali have been getting it on. Not literally but from the look on his face I can tell that he's gotten lucky. Hell even Kasumi and Jacob have fucked, James got laid, Kelly... before that shit I know she was getting laid and so was Sam. I think Rylee and Thane have done it and I know that the cheerleaders had sex too. Grunt always gets mobbed by these Krogan girls about why he never calls. The Prothean never seems to care but he occasionally picks up an Asari from Afterlife. That means that Nate and I are the only couple that haven't fucked.
The thing is he isn't pushing for it. He hasn't said a peep about it and it is driving me crazy. At least call me a freak about it and call me out about fucking all those guys at Afterlife and now I'm a freaking prude. At least call me names, I can deal with that. But he isn't doing anything, I mean it's not as if he doesn't like sex, I mean who doesn't?
Maybe it's me. Maybe he just doesn't find me sexually attractive. Maybe he thinks that I smell funny, or being up close with me all of a sudden made him realise he was in too deep and he's plotting with Rikki on how to get rid of me.
No that's ridiculous. I know him well enough to say that he wouldn't leave me. I've given him the opportunity more than once to pull out. Hell the first night I slept in his room I was about to freak out. When we woke up I realised I was in his arms. I went off the deep end mentally. At first I let out a small scream when I clocked on that I was being held. But when I saw the scar on his brow I realised that everything was real. I got goose bumps down my body and I broke out into sweats. I was about to force him away with biotics...
That was before I saw the contented smile on his face and started to feel the warmth. That was the first time I had woken up and felt safe. I placed the lightest kiss on his lips before turning around to face away from him.
Why the hell did Rikki even pop up in my head. Sure she's hot in a spoilt princess, badass wannabe, Goth kinda way. And I know that Nate hasn't shown any interest in her. But the amount of time that the two of them spend together and the fact that she continuously grabs his ass and runs her arm down his spine pisses me off. The dumbass actually thought that I didn't notice so I play stupid before pulling it out at our next fight.
The other thing that bothers me about her is the fact that the last girl he escorted around school and let hang out with him ended up being his girlfriends. So that isn't entirely comforting.
He started to stir and his eyes flickered open, he used his free hand to try and wipe the sleep off of his face. "Hey"
"What's up" I replied. Before I lifted his shirt and started staring at his defined abdomen. His chest was covered by something which resembled a sports bra. I started tracing the lines of his eight pack. After that I used my nails to lightly scratch my real name into his chest which was sorta hard since I had to put my hand over my head in front of my face to do it. I could feel that he was staring at me and I smiled. All of a sudden I felt him trying to pull away from me. I was gonna ask why before I felt something up against my leg. When I looked at its origin one of my fears was just disproved.
So he's definitely sexually attracted to me
I let him go and he entered the new bathroom that was installed in his room. His mom said that she was sick of all of the early morning fights, but since she only had the creds for one bathroom she chose the one in Nate's room. I'm pretty sure he's about to take a cold shower.
I don't know whether or not it was the revelation that I turn him on or if it was me just wanting to fuck something but I decided to make my move.
I stripped until I was naked. I strolled over to the bathroom and opened the door. As I expected the water was cold. His back was to me so he didn't notice my presence.
Without touching him I turned the knob so that the water would come out slightly hotter. His eyes were closed because of the water but his let out a surprised sound when he felt warm water on his skin.
"What the… Jen?" he gasped, the surprise evident on his face.
I placed a finger on my lips and said "Shhhh, just shut up and let it happen" I smirked before turning around to face away from him.
"Jen" he said in a low voice, but I didn't turn around. Just get it over with already! "Jen" he said again and once again I didn't respond. Doesn't he get the fucking message?
"Jen" he said this time with a little more aggression. He placed his hand on my shoulder.
I felt my skin burn like when Cerberus first tested the Eviscerator, the kickback broke my arm and the gun exploded with my arm badly burnt, and the shrapnel ended up slicing my neck leaving that scar.
That fire soon spread all over my body and in contrast a chill ran down my spine. My heart felt like something was gripping it with icy hands and this fear took over. "GET OUT" I ordered. He followed my instruction all too gladly.
I stood there a few seconds before I heard Nate's voice which sounded of frustration. I am such a fucked up bitch! I made him think that he was gonna get lucky and then all of a sudden I 180 on him and tell him to leave his own bathroom. He shoulda backed out so he could get a normal girl.
I started listening to what he was saying so that I could hear what how mad he was at me
"Stupid, stupid, stupid" he cussed. I really am useless
"You knew she wasn't ready. You should have known not to touch her" he berated himself
No, no he shouldn't be blaming himself for this. I rushed out of the bathroom. "It's not your fault"

Nate POV
She burst out of the bathroom saying "It's not your fault". The water was still dripping off of her body onto the wooden floor.
"Jen, I shouldn't have…"
"Dumbass haven't I told you that your apologising pisses me off?"
"Yeah and haven't I told you to stop calling me dumbass"
"I will when you stop handling me with kid gloves all the time" she bellowed.
I admit that I am usually cautious around her since a lot of shit can set her off. But I haven't been pulling away that much.
"You treat me different to everyone else. Yeah some of it may be because I'm your girl, but not all of it" she added
"I may be a fucked up bitch with issues but that doesn't mean that if you yell at me or tell me to fuck off when I piss you off. I want you to treat me like a normal girl"
I took a pause "No you don't". That caused her jaw to drop a little
"You don't want me to treat you like that. I treat you like my girlfriend, not like a normal girl. If you were a normal girl I wouldn't have hesitated to fuck you a few minutes ago. I would have taken you on the spot."
I took a step towards her "But you aren't ready for that"
"Yeah I am" she huffed defiantly
"Oh really" I challenged. I pulled her towards me and kissed her, I felt her muscles relax and she put draped her arms around my neck. With one hand I hovered over her breast and the other was tantalisingly close to her lower reaches.
Her breath was becoming hitched and goose bumps trailed her necks. I let my lips roam over her neck and allowed my hot breaths to caress her skin. Her biotics began to flare and with that I gently stroked her breast.
She began hyperventilating and shaking albeit not uncontrollably. I figured that I had proven my point.
Just as I was retracting myself she let out a scream that lost its power at the end sounding like a squeal. Her sobs were short but the tears flowing were immense.
I grabbed a towel and handed it to her before heading back for the shower. I finished getting myself clean before coming back to see that she had been punching the steel part of the wall.
"PUSSY… YOU BITCH ASS FUCKING PUSSY" she reprimanded herself.
Not wanting to do the same thing twice I put on my shorts and a sleeveless hoodie. I caught one of her arms before she could connect with the steel plaque.
I grabbed some bandages and sat beside her. I gently wrapped them around her knuckles whilst she continued to avoid eye contact
"I'm such a bitch"
"No you're not, you're human"
"Come on Nate look at you. You're hot, athletic, smart, get good grades, helped save the Citadel, charismatic and you get these great people to gravitate towards me. The only thing you aren't getting is sex."
"That's why you entered the shower"
"Yeah I mean, James is getting some on a regular basis, Garrus and Tali are getting it on, Grunt has lines of women after him. Jacob and Kasumi can't get enough of each other and Sam has girls leaving her house. Even Rylee and Thane are having more sex than you, I mean the goody two-shoes and the fucking monk" she listed off. Does she really think that Rylee has…
"I don't care what they do. Well except for Rylee. We aren't them. I'm not going to push you until you're ready."
"What if I'm never ready?"
"Then I don't care. I want you to know, I'm not like these other guys you've been with. I care about you and I'm willing to wait. And if you're never ready then so be it."
She was dumbstruck; she didn't speak for a whole minute before lightly punching me on the arm. "Dammit Nate why do you always have to say weird shit like that"
"I thought you liked weird"
"Yeah well, only when you're being weird" she hugged me
"I only like weird when you're weird too Jen"

I had kept Jen in my room for 4 hours so everything could be ready. She had taken a shower and had put on one of my shirts and wore black yoga tights. We talked about school and shit and how glad we were that today was a staff training day. We spoke about different ways to dismember Saren. We also talked about how to get back at Cerberus, the alliance, spectres, music and games. But now she was getting stirred crazy. She paced around the room letting out growls.
"Why the hell are you keeping me in here Shepard?"
"Come on Jen, we don't talk anymore"
"We've been talking for hours… and I'm starting to get sick of your voice"
"You know what fuck it" she stood from the bed and headed for the door.
I jumped in front of the door and activated its locking procedure. "You can't leave yet" I rushed
"Since when were you this clingy"
"I'm not it's just that…" I was interrupted by the pinging from my omni-tool. I read the message which was from Rylee
"Everyone's here. We're all waiting for you right now"
Rylee 11:56 CTD
Good everything is ready now. "You know what? The walls are starting to close in on me too"
I deactivated the locking procedures and the door hissed open. Jen immediately made a break for the balcony and jumped over it to the base of the stairs and I followed.
"SURPRISE" a chorus of voices erupted from the kitchen causing Jen to slip into a defensive stance.
In the kitchen was James, Garrus, Solana, Rylee, Thane, Kolyat, Liara, Javik, Kaidan, Miranda, Oriana, Jade, Sam, Grunt, Tali, Jacob, Kasumi and my mother. At the wall in the back was a banner which said 'Happy 16th Birthday'.
She looked at me and saw my grin "So that's why you caged me in your room"
"Guilty"
"So what now? What do you expect me to do?"
They all looked to me to respond. "Nothing really, it's your birthday party"
"A surprise party at 12 pm. That's pretty lame Nate" she stated
"Not all of us will be awake after 10 pm" I whispered to her before slyly gesturing to Jade and Oriana.
"Guess that makes sense" she pointed out
"They'll be here all day, short of emergency" I mentioned "So have fun" I said as I headed for the door
"Where do you think you're going?" she looked looked slightly pissed
"I've got some shit to do"
"So you're not gonna be here" her look went from pissed to sad
"I'll be back in a couple of hours, I promise". I gave her a quick kiss before walking out of the door.
I started scratching my chest, this material is starting to get itchy. It's really starting to hurt, I hope that they don't fuck this up

Jack POV
OK so now that he's gone what the actual fuck does he expect me to do. It's not as if I'm best buddies with anyone in this room. After he left everyone decided to spread themselves around the room. The ones that I'm closest to are Scales, Rylee, Kasumi, Blue and Muscles. Speaking of the big dumb muscle bound jock; he made his way over to me.
"Happy birthday Chica"
"Muscles, not surprised you're here. Couldn't pass up free food right"
"Hey I came here for you... and if I happen to eat some of Rylee's Bolognese so be it"
I let out a slight giggle "I thought you'd be cooking about now, you know those oh so famous huevos rancheros"
"It may be your birthday Jack. But my huevos are reserved for the VIP's like myself. Letting commoners eat them is only reserved for when you're on your deathbed"
"Fine... wait until you see what I'm gonna charge you for your next set of tats"
He started chuckling "I'm willing to negotiate. I'll make you some damn eggs if... you get a tattoo of my name somewhere special"
I punched him in the arm for that one. Muscles is a really cool guy and super easy to talk to. He never takes himself seriously so I can say whatever I want and he always responds rather well
After my fist connected with his arm my hand started hurting "Need some help? I know punching steel hurts" he bragged as he flexed his muscles
"I wouldn't know"
"Uh huh. That's why you're rubbing your wrist against you ass" he observed "Damn Lola, you need to hit the gym cuz that punch. I didn't even feel it"
"Yeah right"
"Maybe if you spent more time in the gym you could actually lift 40kgs"
"Hey, I can bench 40"
"No... you really can't. You're pushing for 40"
"I don't even need gym anyway. I've got my biotics"
"Well..." he began to develop this pervy smile "Gym could also help when you and Nate get... físicas"
That was just a little too far for my liking so I decided to change the subject. I don't get it, if Nate had said that and it had made me feel the same way that James had made me feel then I would have thrown him against the wall. But with James and just about everyone else I act calm and change the subject.
After talking to him for a few minutes I decided to talk to some of the others that showed up. I approached Kasumi who arrived with Liara.
"There's the birthday girl" Kas greeted
"Kasumi, Liara how's it goin'"
"Things would be better if a certain Asari hadn't used all of the hot water this morning" she turned to playfully glare at Liara
"I've apologised 3 times now Kasumi"
"Wait a minute blue. You don't even have hair, how do you use all of the hot water"
Liara's cheeks were turning a new shade of blue "Well my head tentacles don't just clean themselves"
I turned to Kasumi and she looked at me. She was on the verge of cracking up. We both gave each other a nod and started laughing. "Liara, you are such a princess" I teased
"You're one to talk Jack. Nate and Rylee have told us about how long you take in the shower" the asari retorted "And Kasumi I've seen how long it takes you to put make-up on"
"Hey, being as pretty as the two of us are takes time" Kas defended. "As much as I wish it were possible. I can't just wake up and then this..." she gestured to her hooded face "happens"
"But Kas? You're wearing a hoodie. None of us can see your face" I pointed out
"Well personally I think that I'm doing you guys a favour. If I showed my face all of the time; then all the guys would flock to me and ignore the two of you" she joked
"I would love for you to try that shit with Nate" I warned "You'll see just how pissed I can get"
"Seems like someone is marking their territory" Liara observed
"Damn straight"
"Relax Jack I wouldn't even try. After hanging out with you I honestly think I'd bore him."
I sighed "I'm done talking now see ya later" I got up from my seat
I scoped out the room to see who I should talk to first. Then it occurred to me that I hadn't had breakfast yet. I went over to the big ass Krogan who was blocking the fridge and the Turian trying to get him out of the way.
"Grunt! How long does it take to grab something to eat?" Garrus asked slightly agitated
"I'm looking for the Ryncol"
"This is a human fridge. Why the hell would they have ryncol"
"This is meant to be a party. How can you party without ryncol"
"There isn't any alcohol Grunt"
When I heard this I stomped over to the Turian "What do you mean there's no alcohol?" I inquired. What sort of lame ass shit is this
"In case you haven't noticed it's still the afternoon and..." he pointed at Kolyat, his sister, and the two brats who were busy talking amongst themselves whilst Kolyat
"Oh yeah"
"Anyway, so hows the birthday girl doing?"
"Why is everyone asking me that"
"I'm just speculating here... but it could have something to do with the fact that it's your birthday"
"Gee ya think"
"Hey, you were the one who asked"
"I mean it's not that big a deal. All it means is that I'm one year closer to dying"
"And Nate says I'm a pessimist"
"You puny human" Grunt commanded gesturing me to come over
"You big Krogan bitch"
"You realise I could snap you like a twig"
"Grunt you say that to me every time we speak. And every time I always say that I'll remove your 4 balls and hang them up on the Krogan flag pole" I concentrated my biotics into my fist
"Still have your quad. Good! Same can't be said for some of your krant"
"What Grunt, you don't approve of Jack's friends" Garrus faked horror
"Those like Traynor; they have no combat experience or worth in the battlefield. And yet here they are surrounded by warriors" he complained
"It's a smart tactic Grunt. If you're ever in trouble you have a line of people who'll jump at your defence" the Turian reasoned
"So they are leaches"
"It's clear that the two of you have a long argument planned so I'm gonna go" as I walked away I shouted "Don't fuck up the house or his mom will kick your asses"
I walked over to where the kids were since they were calling for me. "Miss Jackie isn't Kolyat the cutest baby ever" Rodriguez cooed
I took a look at the kid "Aah, he's okay"
"Who's okay" Rylee said entering the conversation
"We asked Miss Jackie if she thought Kolyat was the cutest baby ever" Solana informed
"Listen brats my name is Jack"
"But Miss Jackie is so much cooler" they all said in unison. And being children they all said "JINX" and started giggling
Rylee gave a me a look of disbelief "And you said he's just 'okay.' Just look at him"
"I'm not screwing his dad so I can say what I want" I pointed out
"Why are you turning his dad?" Oriana was confused
"That's not what I mean by screwing" I replied
"Then what did you mean?" the three kids all sat at attention. Looking at us as though we were about to reveal the secrets of the universe
"Well what I meant was" I would have said something about fucking or sex had Rylee not forced her hand over my mouth
"What she meant was kissing" she then started making kissy faces.
"EEWW... that's nasty" Oriana wretched
"Ha! Wait til you see the other stuff you can do with boys" I teased. I felt Rylee glaring at me and raised my middle finger to her without looking at her
She knelt in front of Rodriguez and Oriana "Now what have I said about Jack"
"Don't repeat what she says" the two answered in unison
"And?"
"Don't act out what she does in front of others" they said once again simultaneously
"Solana you understand that too right?" she asked and the little Turian nodded
I tapped her on the shoulder "Do ya always have to read them the riot act"
"If they repeat any of the stuff you say to them to their teachers. Who do you think is the first to get blamed?"
"Then tell them to fu-"
This time it was Thane who interrupted me "Jack, I would appreciate it if you would refrain from using profanity around my son. I would prefer that neither his first words be a cuss. Nor his first memories be of someone cursing at another"
"Yeah, yeah I get it. Watch your mouth around the kids" I conceded
"Can't wait for ya to turn 16 so we can do some fun shi-... I mean stuff" I began to walk away. I sat by the other stairs near the mini garden by the entrance
This is some real weird shit talking to people. I mean I can't just be me around some people like the kids. I have to watch what I say. If it was anyone other than Thane I would have said I'll do what I like. But the guy never asks for much and he's been a good friend so I guess this is the least I could do.
When I looked up I saw Oriana and Jade "We're sorry Miss Jackie" Rodriguez apologised
"We've been thinking about what you said and it's our fault you're not having any fun"
"It's because of us kids that you can't have what you want."
"I want to make it better" Rodriguez declared "I'll stop calling you Miss Jackie and I'll call you Jack"
"And I'll stop bothering you around the house" Oriana offered
Seeing these kids offer me everything that I've ever asked of them should make me feel good. But it's making me feel like shit. Damn I can't believe I'm about to do this
"OK now if you repeat anything I'm about say I swear to you that wetting yourselves will be the least of your worries" I threatened
"I'm not sure what you might think but I actually like the two of you. Sure you might get on my nerves, but so does everyone else. Especially Nate" they giggled at the last part
"You haven't done anything that's made me want to kill you so... you can keep up whatever you've been doing"
"Thanks Jack" Jade said
I sighed; I know that I'm going to regret this "Same goes for calling me Jack"
The grin that plastered their faces actually made me feel good. "OK Miss Jackie"
I approached Rylee who was sitting at the table staring into space. "Hey"
"What's up Jennifer"
"Nothin' much just talking to people" I shrugged
"This is new to you isn't it"
"Yeah, well Cerberus didn't exactly have cakes and balloons sent to my cell to make me feel nice" I spat
"Sorry" she apologised
"Shit! Why the fuck do you and your brother keep apologising?" I thought
Thinking of Nate brought up one of our fights from this morning"So... you and scales. I bet he's a great fuck"
This caused her to fall off of the table onto the floor
"CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION" Hannah bellowed "OK I KNOW THAT HAVING A PARTY START AT 12PM IS LAME. SO YOU CAN GO HOME AND COME BACK AT ROUND ABOUT 8 O'CLOCK. AND WE'LL HAVE EVERYTHING SET UP" she instructed.
No one had argued and the majority of them left to go home with the exception of Thane, Rylee, Miranda and Kaidan.
"We'll pick this up later" I said to the fallen Shepard
I was gonna head to my room before I felt someone tap my shoulder. When I turned around I saw that Hannah was smiling at me. "There are some people that want to meet you" she said.
She led me out of the apartment to one of the upper levels. And before I knew it I was standing in front of Tali's door. "Why are we even here? Tali was just down stairs"
She typed the access code in and used her iris to open the door. I heard a surprised shriek when I walked in. Tali had just walked in and turned around whilst holding her omni-tool up.
"Relax bucket head it's just me"
"Keel'ah Jack you almost gave me a heart attack"
"That would have been funny as hell... you know before you... well... died"
"Hysterical" the quarian drawled
"TALI WHO'S AT THE DOOR" a male voice bellowed
"It's just Jack and Nate's mother"
Out of a room at the end of the hallway came out a tall Quarian with a red body but green extremities on his body armour. "Hannah, it's been so long"
"Rael I see you just about every day since you decided to buy the apartment directly above mine"
"But you haven't visited in months. Back when we spoke of you know..."
"What, your fear that my son may have been interested in your daughter"
"Is there a reason why I'm here for this" I got impatient
"A familiar impatience" the quarian remarked "Follow me"
He led us back into the room that he came from and this time there were even more people inside. I recognized Zaeed, Wrex, Samara, Aleena, Mordin, Anderson, Kahlee, Benezia, Garrus' dad, some old couple that looked like they were Hannah's age and that dude with the sex bot.
"What's up Scarface, Justitits, Old man, Dragon, Crazy bitch, Goody-goody, Double D" I greeted each of my instructors Zaeed, Samara, Anderson, Wrex, Aleena, Kahlee and Benezia respectively
Their eyes all bulged out when they saw me. Their obvious staring was starting to make my skin itch. "Of course it's her" Aleena sighed
The only male in the room I hadn't met looked like he'd seen a ghost. The weirdest thing was that he looked familiar, but I don't know why.
"Makes sense now. They're as crazy and hot-headed as each other" Zaeed commented
"You don't have the right to call anyone hot-headed Zaeed. Not after Zorya" Hannah smiled.
"Never gonna drop that are ya"
"Well considering that you went nuts, almost let an oil refinery burn along with its workers. And set the guy on fire... no I don't think she's ever gonna forget" sex-bot guy said
"Try havin' a go at me when that mech isn't around" Zaeed challenged
"She's there for your protection Zaeed. I mean you don't want any of this"
"I guess that Joker still thinks he's funny. And still pisses me off just by being in the same room as me" Garrus' dad said whilst rubbing his temples
The exchange snapped the man out of his trance, "You get pissed off at everything Vakarian" he said
"And you still point out the obvious Alenko" Benezia pointed out
"Good to see that some things don't change" the man said wrapping his arm around his wife. Oh they must be Kaidan's folks. Kaidan looks a lot like his dad, but I could swear that he looks like someone else.
"IS THERE ANY REASON I'M HERE" I yelled
"Nothing just that these people wanted to say happy birthday" Hannah explained before urging the rest of them to say "Happy Birthday"
"So I can go now"
"Yeah"
I walked out of the room only to once again walk into another Quarian. "What's up Reegar?"
"Nothin' much just headed for the gym"
"Have you seen Tali?"
"Yeah she's going to Liara's to get your present"
"Present?" I asked
"You know... it's your birthday... you're meant to receive presents"
I didn't want to look like an idiot so I lied "Oh yeah I forgot about that". Since when do people receive presents for free? Don't you steal them or kill someone for them or fuck someone
"Tali was right you are a horrible liar"
"Yeah, yeah so are you gonna be there tonight"
"Sure thing but after I finish this damn assignment that Geth gave me. Expects me to look at this battlefield and spot all of the enemy blind spots and any areas that I could use as a good foothold"
"Well boohoo. That asari bitch Aleena expects me to give her a 2000 word essay on the potential side effects of shorting out my amp"

A few hours later
Now this is what the fuck I'm talking about! Hannah said she'd take the two brats to Kaidan's place so that we could have the house to ourselves. She moved all of the nice shit away in case we trashed it by accident.
James decided to be the DJ and started playing some dance beats. Everyone who was there in the morning showed up again along with some extras. Aria, Nyreen, Morinth and Reegar also showed up. Aria sat in the chair in the living room. She had her usual arrogance and Nyreen was talking to Garrus.
I stood at the balcony watching it all unfold before I heard the heavy clunk of Armour on the ground. "Grunt what is it this time?"
"You still have no Ryncol"
Oh for fucks sake when is her gonna get over this shit "Grunt can't you just drink some acid or some shit"
"It's just not the same. Ryncol has more kick to it"
He's not gonna leave me alone until I get his shit. "For fucks sake... Fine I'll get you some of that shit you damn baby" I growled
I went over towards the window and opened it. I jumped to the building across Tiberius towers called Drakonis Tower. It was owned by Drax. A krogan crime boss who's hired me for some freelance work. You know extortion, killing, breaking people out of C-Sec.
I knew where he kept his stash of Ryncol so that I could take some whenever I wanted. That shit tastes like poison and it's the only thing that even comes close to giving me a hangover. I pulled up my omni-tool and called Kaidan. He was asking me if I wanted him to do anything like restoring the ice and a beer run so this is it.
"Jack what's up"
"Yeah, don't wanna chat just look out of the window" I instructed
I looked across the window and saw Kaidan searching for me. "Jeez look up jackass"
I could see him scowl from here. When he finally got a look at me he looked confused "What the hell are you doing there?"
"Remember that beer run we talked about?"
"Yeah"
"This is it. CATCH" I flung the barrel of Ryncol out of the window towards the one at the apartment. Kaidan stuck his hand out and caught the barrel. He threw a pull field at the barrel and dragged it into the apartment
"Careful that shit's Ryncol. It'll burn threw the damn floor if ya drop it"
"And you thought it was a good idea to throw it 70 ft?"
"If I didn't think you'd catch it then I wouldn't have thrown it at you" I shrugged
I punched the perfect Krogan on the back to get his attention "HERE'S YOUR FUCKING DRINK YOU BIG BABY" I pointed at the Ryncol by the window.
He let out a throaty laugh and grabbed the barrel and buried his face in it drinking
I heard the door open and turned around expectantly. Finally he shows up "Where the hell have you been?"

Nate POV
This shit hurts a lot. Especially if you need to get it done in a day. Now I've missed most of the day with her and she's probably gonna be pissed. I could have been here an hour ago if I hadn't dropped by Afterlife to change into party clothes. Aria was 'kind enough' to let me leave some clothes at the club.
When I walked through the door I was sort of surprised by some of the faces here. Morinth, Reegar, Aria and Nyreen to be honest. My eyes wandered around the room to see if there was anyone that may have snuck in. I didn't see anyone that shouldn't have been here. But if the conversations I heard in the lift were any indication then I need a bouncer.
Jen was shouting at Grunt, not a very smart idea but I didn't think that she was in any danger considering that Grunt actually liked her. The big guy then proceeded to drown himself in the Ryncol lapping it up. He's gonna regret this later but I'm sure as hell not dumb enough to tell him that now. Otherwise he'll start daring me to drink with him.
"Where the hell have you been?" Jen yelled from the balcony. I jumped up to the balcony and gave her a kiss
"Sorry had to get some shit done"
"Yeah well while you were gone. I had to play nice with everybody" she pouted leaning into my chest
"Really, man I wish I was there to see that"
"Never gonna see it. As long as you're here then I don't have to talk to all these assholes"
"I know you don't mean that. You actually like all these guys"
"Yeah but don't let it spread. I have a reputation you know"
I heard a loud bang and saw that the glass fixture that I crashed through a few months ago was once again broken. "Dammit Grunt" I sighed
He always gets like this when he's drunk. It's actually fairly entertaining mainly because he never listens to what anyone says when they tell him to stop. He can't control his own weight and he's liable to kill you for the first hour. About an hour after that he starts doing shit that get's C-Sec involved and then two hours after that he crashes. Last time I went to Afterlife with him I had to bring him back here to sober up. He ended up falling asleep in one of the guest showers whilst the hot water ran emptying the entire tank.
I approached the big ass Krogan and with James's help I managed to help him to his feet. The plated armour meant that none of the glass got onto his body.
"Dammit Grunt, my mum is going to kill me and Wrex will kill you" I rebuked
James tapped my shoulder "Come on Loco look around you. Your're damn lucky that this place is in one piece" he chuckled. I realised that this party was attended by one of the most notorious crime bosses in the Citadel, the perfect Krogan, a drell Assassin, the C-Sec commanders gun-loving trigger happy son, The psychotic biotic Jack, the perfect human being, and everyone in this room has been considered to be potentially great warriors. Then there's me, a crazy ass bastard
I started snickering when I actually thought about what was happening "It's a damn miracle that the citadel's still in one piece"
I turned to the inebriated Krogan trying to think of a task he can do. If I didn't give him something to do then I know that he's going to fuck up my house. I scoped the room out to see if there was anything that could keep him busy. There was no way he could work the bar, I know he'd slip something into everyone's drinks. And besides James's cousin Steve is already acting as bartender. No way I could give him a mic otherwise he'd be yelling until he passes out.
That's when I caught a glimpse of the front door and remembered that people were talking about sneaking into the party. "Grunt hows about you monitor the door"
"But that sounds boring" he groaned
"Think about it this way. You're gonna be a bouncer like Bebeto at Afterlife"
I saw a glean in his eyes and I knew that I had him "So I can fight anyone who pisses me off"
"Only if they try and force their way into the apartment"
He grabbed my hand and shook it profusely "THIS IS GONNA BE FUN!"
I'm glad that the problem has been taken care of. I love Grunt, he's like a little brother to me. But sometime you just want to throttle that little brother
I looked at the balcony and saw that Jen was waiting for me. I decided to walk up there this time to save energy "What the fuck! I yelled at him and all he did was bitch. All you do is tell him to watch the door and all of a sudden he's a giddy bitch"
"He's a good kid, just needs to be guided in the right direction. Yelling at him doesn't work, it just makes him more stubborn. He's like a kid all you got do is make him want something else"
She leaned into my chest and let out a sigh "If we call it quits then you can keep him" she pouted
"Fine but you get custody of James" I chuckled
"Yeah so"
"If you don't pet him or take him to a party every once in a while he'll tear up the rug" I joked
I felt her graze over my chest and winced. She detected this and looked up at me expectantly "What?" I asked
"I should be asking you that"
"It's nothing don't worry" I dismissed but she didn't look convinced.
"Alright if it's nothing then..." she the planted her head on the sore spot hard. And then she began nuzzling.
Shit this hurts like hell. Why the fuck is she being so damn sadistic? Wait that's a stupid question.
I desperately searched the room to see if there was anything in the room that could get her attention. I looked to the couch near the bar and saw Rylee and Thane making out. Perfect
"Hey look at Thane and Rylee" I suggested through the pain. She stopped before getting a look at the couple.
"Damn they are really getting into it" she stated. I then decided to pay closer attention to the situation. Rylee was on top of Thane kissing him intensely causing me to feel uneasy "It would be fucking hilarious if they started getting it on" she chuckled
"You realise that it's my sister you're talking about right"
"No shit"
"Just making sure" I reminded sarcastically. "How about we cockblock"
"See now that's just mean. Let Scales have his fun" she suggested
"Not on the fucking couch"
"Doing it in front of people is so fucking hot though" she argued. She got onto her tip toes and I scooched down to her level. "It gets me wet just thinking about it" she whispered sexily. She had a suggestive smirk on her face "Just a thought" she teased in a sexy voice
As she turned to walk towards the balcony she let her hand slide over my crotch before slowly removing it. On the balcony she bent over slightly do that I could make out her ass through the skin tight jeans she had on.
She is really not making this easy for me is she. I know she isn't ready but right now my dick is telling me to take her to my room and make her scream my name.
"HEY RYLEE, THANE CAN'T YOU GET A ROOM OR SOME SHIT. IT'S SORTA SICK" she yelled causing Rylee to immediately jump off of Thane. She landed on the floor and stood up brushing the stray bit of hair from her eyes. Thane looked seriously pissed off, I have rarely seen the Drell look angry. The only other time I can recall him being pissed off was when Saren almost blind sided Rylee.
Rylee regained her composure and gave Jack the middle finger with a joking smile. A gesture which she gladly returned.
The whole house erupted into laughter causing Rylee to suddenly realise that she was centre stage. "LET'S OPEN THE PRESENTS" she yelled in order to turn attention away from her.
To her credit it worked for the most part. Most of the people in the room began to make their way over to the pile of presents that were in the kitchen.
"Let's start with... Grunts present" Rylee announced
Since when did Grunt care about anything like this. He never struck me as the guy to buy presents for others. The wrapping was obviously untidy and rugged. The present was long and rectangular but had ridges in it.
Rylee handed to Jen who picked it up and started tearing the wrapping paper off. Underneath it was a shotgun, the design was familiar. Grunt had given her a model of the Shotgun he designed. He called it a Claymore
Jen just threw it besides her and gestured for Rylee to give her more of the presents. Sam had bought her two pairs of shoes. One were a pair of leopard print Nike classics and the other were a pair of heeled boots that stopped just short of her knee. Jen gave the shoes a nod of approval. They were the sort that you'd expect a dominatrix to wear. Sam gave me a playful wink before retreating into the crowd. She's into some really kinky shit.
Rylee had bought her a sketch book along with some art supplies. Liara had bought her some asari perfume, Garrus bought her a punky jacket and even Miranda bought her something. She bought her some armour, it was basically her normal combat attire but only it was thicker and more padding. It even had her name going down the side and it was in blood red against the black paint job. Jack looked like she wanted the armour and she actually liked it, but since Miranda gave it to her she just scoffed and threw it behind her.
"OK Nate let's see what you got for your woman" Garrus hollered
It was greeted with widespread agreement. I had to give the people what they wanted but I would have preferred to show it to her in private but I guess I can show it to her right now.
I took my jacket off and rolled up my right sleeve revealing that my forearm was covered by saran wrap. It was still slightly hurt but I unwrapped my arm. It revealed a tattoo. The tattoo was in large letters and it simply said "JACK"
She saw my tattoo and her breath hitched a little. She looked into my eyes with a mixture of relief and disbelief. She let a laugh escape her lips as she traced her name on my arm. "Fucking cheapskate, couldn't splurge even on my fucking birthday" she pulled me down and forced her lips onto mine.
"GET A ROOM JACK, IT'S SORTA SICK" Rylee called from the crowd once again drawing laughter from the crowd. In response both Jack and I put our hands side by side and flipped everyone else off.

It's about 2am and just about everyone who wasn't sleeping here had finally cleared out. Grunt did a damn good job as the bouncer. Some humans and Turians tried to crash and tried to push past Grunt. He threw them out of the window. Liara had to jump out to make sure that they didn't actually die. And then she screamed at him about being so damn careless. I had to admit that Liara was surprisingly intimidating when she got pissed off enough.
Steve was driving James, Garrus, Thane and Jacob back to their houses. Wrex was apparently just upstairs so he took Grunt home and Samara did the same for Morinth and Nyreen. Kaidan, Liara and Kasumi decided to crash for the night along with Benezia and Kaidan's parents who came into the house with my mum.
I walked into my room and undressed. I put on some shorts and a white t-shirt. On my bed I saw that Jen was waiting for me. I laid beside her and closed my eyes. I felt her grab my right arm and noticed that she was staring at the tattoo.
"You wrote Jack" was all she said.
"Yeah so?"
She didn't answer for a while opting to stay quiet. "What's wrong"
"That's not my name" she stated
"I know, but if I got Jennifer on my arm then people would start asking questions" I reasoned
She merely grunted and turned away from me. She's upset that I put her fake name on display "Look at me" I instructed
She didn't listen and I wanted to do this before she could go to sleep so I climbed over her so that we'd be face to face. I started lifting my shirt. "You think now is the best time to fuck." she seethed.
"Just wait"
When the shirt was off she saw that there was more Saran wrap on my chest. "Remove it" I ordered. Her hands hovered over it for a second out of hesitation. She then started removing it. When she finished she looked at me this time her face only conveyed disbelief
"I thought you tattooed your Ex here"
"I did... I got it removed"
"But it was there a few days ago"
"Yeah, that hurt like hell. Had to get it totally removed by a this batarian guy on Omega. He gave me a guarantee that he could remove it in 4 days"
She was at a loss as she glared at my chest. She was almost certain that if she blinked that it would suddenly disappear. She started biting down on her lip and began visibly shaking.
"There's no one else that I want. I hope that this shows you that there isn't anyone else for me" I grabbed her finger and gently ran her finger along my chest in line with the tattoo.
"Happy Birthday Jennifer Hannah Leigh"
