"You're not sick, are you, Odd?" asked Ulrich as he dried his hair. "Usually you start the day singing something from Paco the King of Disco."

"I dreamt about a deadly epidemic that was transmitted by potatoes meaning there were no more french fries or mashed potatoes for lunch. Do you believe in nightmares like that, huh?" asked Odd.

"Absolutely. But don't worry, if you ask Einstein nicely, he'll program you some virtual fries," joked Ulrich.

"Food is sacred, Ulrich, so no jokes, okay?!"

"Speaking of Einstein one and two, where are they?"

Harry's and Jeremy's dorm

"Hey, Jeremy, forget you had a bed?" asked Ulrich as he shook Jeremy awake. Harry punched Odd in the face.

"What was that for?!"

Harry snored.

"He punched me and he's still sleeping?!"

"I spent the night on a recovery program to bring back William," said Jeremy sleepily. "What's the time?"

"Ten to. Better hurry, we wouldn't want to miss the blockbuster maths class on Thales' theorem."

"Ok. See you there," said Jeremy as he stretched. "I finished the program. As soon as classes are over, we can launch it. I promised Harry that he could see if it worked on Lyoko. Better get this lump up."

Jeremy pressed a spot behind Harry's ear.

"What… Hey Jeremy."

"It's time to get up."

Two clones materialised.

"You have to go Harry."

Harry pouted as the clones disappeared.

Lunch hall

"You're too late! You can't have seconds today," said Rosa as Jeremy walked over.

"But- I haven't even had firsts!"

"You did, Jeremy! Odd Della Robbia said you gave him your portion!"

"Well done. No sleep. No meal. Nothing like living a healthy life," said Ulrich as Jeremy walked over with an empty tray. Harry pulled out a packed if nuts and gave it to Jeremy.

"What's wrong?" asked Odd. "Ulrich told me that you were skipping breakfast. It woulda been a pity to waste a good meal. ...You want half of my banana?"

"No thanks. I lost my appetite."

"You'd better not deny that you pig out all the time," said Aelita as Odd scoffed the rest of the banana.

"It's not so much pigging out, more like survival instinct."

"Survival?"

"I've got to build reserves in case potatoes are contaminated like in the nightmare I had last night."

"You're svelte Odd," said Harry.

"I'm not svelte, I'm scrawny!" Everyone burst out laughing.

"Your attention please, boys and girls. I have an important announcement to make," said Delmas. Everyone looked at him.

"That's it. My nightmare's come true. Goodbye potatoes forever," moaned Odd.

"This afternoon after class we will have the grand opening of the recreation room you've all been waiting for," continued Delmas.

"There's no epidemic?" asked Odd. "Long live french fries! Yahoooo!"

"This recreation room was designed for relaxation," said Delmas as the students cheered. "You will have at your disposal a football table as well as a ping pong table and a television set. Quieten down. Remember, with privileges come responsibilities! That means you take care of your rec room and that responsibility will be given to a person through election."

Outside

"Hi everybody. What's happening?" asked Yumi as she joined the group.

"We have to elect a monitor for the new rec room," said Aelita as Jeremy checked his bag.

"Oh no. I left my computer upstairs," said Jeremy. "I'll see you later."

"Relax Jeremy," said Harry as Jeremy ran off. "I'll warn you if Xana attacks."

"As I'm the principal's daughter, I'm the most obvious choice," said Sissi.

"Uh, no you're not the most obvious choice," said Harry. "There's you know who to consider. It's up to everyone as well."

"What is going on here?" asked Jim as he stormed over. "It's time to go to class."

"But we're trying to elect a rec room monitor, Jim," said Milly.

"You call all this screaming an election?" asked Jim. "We're going to do this demigraphical... demicrackically... We're going to vote, okay?! You! And you! Over there! Now let's see... Fiquet, Leduc, Dunbar, over here too!"

"Huh? Is that me?" asked the clone as he walked to where Jim had indicated. Harry rolled his eyes.

Harry's and Jeremy's dorm

Jeremy picked up his laptop and walked out.

Outside

"With two votes more than Elisabeth Delmas, the winner is... Dunbar," said Jim as he counted the votes.

"Yaaah I won! Does anyone know what I won?" asked the clone.

"And now everyone, get to class. I'll tell the principal who won."

"William, how about a word for the Kadic News? Some of the kids think you were elected, because you're not part of a group. Do you think it's a victory for democracy?" asked Milly as she went into reporter mode.

"Uh, Democracies? Who's he anyway?" asked William. "I thought it was me who won this time."

Harry frowned as everyone laughed. "Why is he being stupid? I know he's more intelligent than this…"

"Hey, what happened?" asked Jeremy as he re-joined the group.

"A disaster..." said Yumi.

Class

"This is a disaster," said Jeremy quietly to Ulrich as the teacher taught the class. "William's copy doesn't have the same personality as the original. He can blend into the crowd but he stands out like a sore thumb on his own."

"We could copy the memories of the original from me and give them to the clone," suggested Harry.

"Well, at least no one suspects for now. Everyone thinks that he's a comedian," said Ulrich.

"They're bound to get onto him eventually," said Jeremy. "After school, I'd better launch the recovery program for getting the real William back."

"I hope it works, Jeremy, cuz the one we have now is about as brilliant as Kiwi," said Ulrich.

"I hope so too," said Harry.

"Hey, my dog is very, very intelligent, so there!" said Odd loudly.

"Odd, do you want to add a corollary to Thales' theorem?" asked Ms Meyer.

"What collar, ma'am?" asked Odd. "Uh, no, my dog doesn't have any fleas. Uh, I mean I don't have a dog or any fleas either."

The class burst out laughing.

Later

Yumi waited as everyone ran out of the building.

"Well, me and Harry will run over to the factory now and run the recovery program," said Jeremy as they met up.

"I'll go to the rec room," said Sissi.

"I think everyone except those two are coming Sissi," said Ulrich. "So we can stop the clone doing anything dumb."

Rec room

The clone put the key into the lock and struggled to unlock it.

"Oh no. The lock is broken."

"You're turning the key the wrong way," pointed out Jim. The clone opened the door and everyone piled in. "Now I want everyone to behave like adults. Don't forget, this room is under your responsibility. Whoa! Ping-pong! My favourite game!"

He ran over to the table.

Lab

"Jeremy, I hope this program works," said Harry. "I can't wait until he's free again. No more William attacking us."

"Uh… me either."

Rec room

"Now, we're going to break in this table," said Jim. "Ok Della Robbia, over here now. Best of three sets."

"How am I going to keep an eye on William?" asked Odd behind his hand,

"Go on," said Ulrich. "We'll handle him."

"We just have to keep an eye on him," said Aelita.

"William, could you open the fridge for me?" asked a girl.

"Hey, don't waste his time. Uh, a monitor should step back from things like that," said Yumi.

"Step back?" asked William. "If I do, I'll bang into the wall."

Lab

Jeremy started the program.

"You're using the tower that powers William's clone?" asked Harry.

"Yeah because the original William's digital DNA is stored in that tower. You know that."

Rec room

"I was interstate champion when I was young. Why don't I tell you why I used to be called the Killer Racket?" asked Jim as he beat Odd.

"Uh, thanks, Jim, maybe some other time."

"For once, I'd rather have talked about it," said Jim as William picked up the ball. "Dunbar! Don't stand there like a statue! It's your turn!"

"Uh, Jim, he can't play and be monitor at the same time," said Yumi as she grabbed William's arm.

"I'll play against you Jim," offered Ulrich.

"I need someone of my calibre. Come on. Let's see how you play Dunbar!"

Lab

"Here we go," said Jeremy as he pressed a button.

Rec room

William hit the ball at Jim's head.

"Ah! Dunbar! Don't you know what ping-pong's all about?" asked Jim.

"No?"

Herb watched a science program.

"Science. What a drag," said Nicholas.

"I've got the remote so I decide."

"Can you change channel?"

Lab

The computer came up with an error as it beeped.

"What now?" asked Harry.

"There's a bug in the program. I hope it didn't put the tower offline."

"Or worse, put it under Xana's control. Shall I check it out?"

Rec Room

"It's already match point Dunbar," said Jim. "Try to score one point."

William flickered and his pupils widened. Jim sent the ball off and William sent it back.

"That's impossible. Beginner's luck."

"Killer Racket, was that it, Jim?" asked the clone. "Well, before I'm finished with you, they're going to call you Clumsy Racket. Ready?"

"We'll just see about that."

"I'll bet you that the Einsteins just tweaked the program," said Ulrich.

"I'm sure they had their reasons," said Aelita.

"Anyway, we have to come up with something right now," said Yumi.

"What are those two doing?" asked Sissi as she gazed in the direction of the factory.

"I have an idea," said Odd. He walked over to the table. "Hey, Jim!"

"Della Robbia! What are you doing? You trying to distract me or what, you little cheater?!"

"Get out of the way, you loser," said William.

"I'll call Jeremy," said Yumi as Odd walked back to them.

Lab

"Yumi? What's up?" asked Jeremy.

"What's up with you? He's worse than ever," said Yumi.

"The program has bugged some files in the tower," explained Jeremy. "But I don't know which ones. It's impossible to deactivate it so I can start over again."

"We'll have to deactivate it manually," said Harry. "Send me over."

"All alone?" asked Jeremy. "It's too dangerous."

"I think we've established that I can handle myself Jeremy. The only reason that Xana got the drop on me was because he interfered with my abilities somehow like when he made William sedate me so I couldn't attack. Besides, the Superscan doesn't' show any Xana activity."

"Be careful."

Harry went to the scanners.

"Transfer Harry. Scanner Harry. Virtualisation."

Rec room

Jim and the clone continued to play.

Lyoko

Harry sprinted over to the tower and bounced off.

"Jeremy, the tower won't let me in!"

"Your file is bugged up too and so is Aelita's. I'll bring you back."

"Jeremy, just debug the tower. This way, as soon as you fix it, I can deactivate it. I could try to override it."

"I'm not convinced." The map popped up. "Oh no. you've got visitors."

"Don't sweat it." Harry threw himself into the fight and sliced the three tarantulas. "I really like this sword. But why only three?"

"Keep an eye out. Bad news, Xana's trying to take over the tower."

Harry ran up to it and pressed his hand to it. "Code Harry."

He tried to enter it again. "Oh man. Still not working."

"I don't even have a way to transfer energy from sector five. That's also bugged up."

Rec room

William cried out and missed the ball.

"It's match point again. You're not such a big shot now!"

William missed the ball again.

"Finito! Out! Basta! Yours truly big Jim the Killer Racket strikes again!"

"The Einsteins fixed it in the nick of time," said Odd as Yumi looked at a text.

"Not quite. We have to get to the factory."

Lyoko

Harry groaned as the tower turned red.

Rec room

The clone slammed Yumi to the floor.

"Dunbar, what's wrong with you?" asked Jim as he tried to pry William off her. The clone sent him into the wall.

"I wish Harry was here," muttered Ulrich. "He would have been useful."

"Thought you'd never ask."

Harry's clones appeared and pried William off her. The students ran and Odd helped Yumi up.

"Let's get out of here!"

"I thought you were at the factory," said Ulrich.

"The boss is on Lyoko. The tower's not accepting him so he can't deactivate it."

"Let's split up," said Yumi as they ran. "That way, one or toe of us will get to the factory."

They split and the clone continued to attack the two Harry's.

Lyoko

"How's it going Jeremy?" asked Harry anxiously. "The clone's attacking the others. My clones are dealing with it but they can't last for long."

"Look at three hundred metres south from where you are."

Harry looked in that direction. "Are those Krabes attacking William?"

"Yeah. It's him."

"Do you want me to check it out?" asked Harry. "There's a chance that the program worked and he's free."

William jumped on top of a Krabe, summoned his sword and stabbed the Krabe. He jumped off as the Krabe exploded.

"Be careful. There's a chance that this is a trap."

"It could be. In that case, I'm going to spring it. We have to know Jeremy. Besides, they're coming this way. If I don't do anything, they'll come to me."

"Be careful."

Kadic

The two Harry's ran behind a door and barricaded it. They looked at each other and started to make faces before nodding. They ran up the stairs as the clone smashed the door down. It followed the two.

Park

The five met up again.

"Where are the two Harry's?" asked Sissi.

"They had the clone on their tails. They'll be fine. It's easy for them to coordinate attacks," said Odd.

"I'll go help them," said Ulrich as he ran towards the school.

The last four climbed into the manhole.

Kadic

The two Harry's paused at the door. They looked at each other. One disappeared and the other climbed through the skylight. The clone followed him.

Lyoko

William continued to doge the attacks as he ran towards Harry. His sword was knocked out of his grasp and he fell over. William reached for it as a Krabe stood over him. Its underside began glowing as Harry jumped on top of it and stabbed it before jumping and landing a few metres away. An eagle raked its claws along the top of the last Krabe which blew up.

William stood up as the Eagle screeched. Harry raised an eyebrow. "So it was a trap."

"Good to see you again, Harry!"

Harry dodged the jet of smoke. The eagle flew up and fired on William. William used his sword to block the shots.

"Jeremy, I suggest you hurry."

"I'm doing the best I can!"

William swung his sword and the resulting energy wave destroyed the eagle. Harry backed away and bumped into the tower. William walked right up to him and pinned him to the tower.

"You can't enter it can you? You'd have done it to get away." His hand filled with smoke.

"No William!"

The smoke hit Harry.

Kadic

William's clone climbed out the skylight to have his face meet the roof. Ulrich climbed out and joined Harry's clone.

"Where's the other one?"

"What other one?"

"The other clone?" Harry pointed at William's clone. "Not that one!"

"He's right behind you."

Ulrich noticed that he was on the roof of the school. "Oh no. Why me?"

Lab

"Ulrich's not with you?" asked Jeremy as the four came in.

"He's playing the clown with the clone," explained Odd.

"Rats. Hurry guys, get to the scanner room now. William has Harry. Again. This time it was because he couldn't enter the tower because of the bugs affecting the tower."

Lyoko

Harry opened his eyes. He tried to move but William just put more pressure on his foot. He looked down at the digital sea.

"Oh great. William did have to pin me to his manta."

"Harry, you need to get a move on. William's taking you to the Scyphozoa and you know what will happen there."

Harry frowned. "That might be a bit to ask Jeremy. I can't move at the moment."

He grinned and jabbed at his wrist. The interface popped up.

"I knew I added this for a reason." He scrolled through the options. "Come on. It's here somewhere."

Several eagles materialised and one had a saddle. William glared at them.

"What do you have planned Harry?" asked Jeremy. Harry whistled and the eagles attacked. He used the moment that William was distracted with destroying the eagles to stand up and jump off the manta. The eagle with the saddle caught him and Harry started to control it.

The others ran to the edge and watched as Harry flew back over the path and landed.

"Can we have our vehicles?" asked Odd.

The Overboard and Overwing appeared.

"Hop on, princess, and stand clear of the closing doors! All aboard," said Odd as he and Aelita jumped on. Sissi climbed on with Yumi. William looked at Harry.

"Get to the tower! You sure are a tough cookie," called Harry as he turned to William. The other's headed to the tower. "But as long as my friends are here, you have no hope of getting to me or Aelita. You're too overconfident."

William threw his sword at Harry and Harry's eagle flew up to dodge it. William summoned it back.

Kadic

Harry's clones threw energy fields at the William clones and one gave his swords to Ulrich.

"Thanks."

"Just don't look down."

Harry's clones tried to attack William's clones but he knocked Ulrich down the roof. He caught the gutter and dropped Harry's swords. The two Harry's knocked William off the roof and pulled Ulrich up.

The clone re-entered the building and soon appeared on the roof again.

Lyoko

William smiled faintly as he hit Harry's eagle. Harry pulled out his wings and flew back to the path as William followed him.

"Identification Harry." The computer came up with an error. "Not again! Harry, Aelita, you're going to have to wait for a bit longer."

Harry cartwheeled around William and kicked him in the back. "Just get on with it Jeremy."

Sissi returned and hit William in the back as well. William jumped up and slammed her to the ground before devirtualising her.

"Oh great. There I go again," muttered Sissi as she appeared in the scanner. "Note to self. Don't engage William."

William turned to smoke and headed to the tower. Harry did the same and followed.

Odd led a tarantula into a field of rocks and destroyed it. "Can you tell Harry to send us some of his monsters?"

"Sorry, he's chasing William. They're coming your way."

"It's hard enough without William," moaned Odd as he jumped on the Overboard.

"I did it! I fixed the bugs!"

"Good job Jeremy," said Aelita. She hit the last tarantula as William snuck up behind her. Harry crashed into him as he reformed.

"Get going Aelita!"

William stood back up and the Overboard hit him, knocking him back down. Odd and Yumi joined Harry.

"Sorry, William. I forgot to hit the brakes," said Odd

William devirtualised him then sliced Yumi. He watched Aelita enter the tower.

"Well then, I'd better get going," said Harry. William spun round to look at him. "See you later William."

Harry pulled out one of his swords and attempted it stabbed himself but William grabbed his arm.

"You aren't going anywhere."

Aelita rose to the second platform and pressed her hand to the screen.

The William clone disappeared. Ulrich sighed in relief.

Lyoko

Harry yanked his hand out of William's grasp and put his sword away. William smiled.

"I see you have decided not to devirtualise yourself."

"No point. We're going back in time so I won't be on Lyoko. You've lost for now William."

"Return to the past now."

The white light expanded as William glared at Harry.

Kadic

"It seems to me that as the principal's daughter, I'm the obvious choice," said Sissi.

"That's true. Now that's a great idea," said Odd.

"Huh?" asked Sissi.

"Yeah! We need somebody who's unselfish and never thinks about herself. And Sissi really fits that description," said Ulrich. "Harry's changed you Sissi."

"Hey, what's going on?" asked Jim as he walked over. "It's time for class."

"We just elected Sissi monitor of the rec room," explained Ulrich.

"You did?" asked Jim in surprise. "But I thought you'd choose somebody like Dunbar. Yeah, right, I could see him."

"But how could you not see me?" asked William in confusion. "I'm in front of you."

"Hahaha! That William's such a comedian!" laughed Odd.

"He must be the funniest kid at Kadic," said Ulrich as he laughed.

"Yeah, why?" asked William.

"It's nothing. Come on. Let's go to history class," said Yumi as she dragged the clone away.

"Well, the copy's all we've got," said Aelita.

"For now, anyway. It's back to square one," said Jeremy sadly. "I'll bring back William one day. I swear I will. And I know someone who will help me."

He stared at Harry who smiled.
