"Ohh! Haha! Take that, fireball! And you, you slimy vortex! You'll see, you think you're so smart! Wait 'til I discombobulate you into the black hole," Odd muttered to himself as he played a game.

"Odd, do you mind cooling it for a while?" asked Ulrich groggily as Odd lost. Odd moaned. "It's four AM!"

"Well, I'm dying of sleep deprivation. So night."

Odd switched the console off and started to snore. Ulrich fell asleep quickly as well.

The next day

Odd quickly got dressed as the others waited for him.

"He was playing that game for so long," moaned Ulrich.

"Well, at least you got some sleep," said Harry as he rubbed Ulrich's shoulder. "That's better than none at all."

"I suppose so."

Class

"Della Robbia?"

"Here," said Odd as he yawned.

"Uh, hello, Naomi. Uh, how would you feel about having a fantastic and breathtaking experience together with me in the moonlight tonight?" asked Nicholas as he walked over to her.

"You've gotta be kidding, you dork!"

"Right, today we're going to work on the high jump," said Jim as he started teaching. Sirius set up the mattresses and poles. He winked at Harry who raised an eyebrow. "For once, I won't go to great lengths to tell you how this kind of sport can take you to great heights. So just watch."

Jim jumped over the pole but landed badly. The class laughed.

"I told you over and over. If you insist on doing this sort of stuff, this is where you'll end up," said Yolanda as she helped Jim to the infirmary. Odd curled up and started to snore.

"It's a hazard in my kind of job."

"Well, I guess lesson is cancelled," said Harry as he sat down and pulled out his laptop. "I think I'll work on William's avatar a bit more. And I think Sirius just pranked Jim. Someone should keep an eye on Odd."

Lunch

"These fries are tasty," said Ulrich as he stabbed them with his fork. Odd scoffed down his food as usual.

"Can I sit here?" asked William as he walked over.

"Sure." Ulrich pulled out a chair for him.

"I expected you to be more wary of me," said William. "Oh, Harry, can I talk to you later?"

"Sure. I've got nothing better to do. And trust me, you're a normal kid again. I'm the living Xana detector after all."

"We've got some things to do," said Jeremy. "Do it before then."

"Like exploring the network with the Skid some more?" asked Ulrich.

"Yep. We can see if we can check out that sphere you came across on your first trip. The one that Harry thinks is a replika of Lyoko."

"When do we go?" asked Yumi as William looked down.

"The longer we wait, the stronger Xana gets," said Jeremy. "So I say we try tonight."

"I would say that Xana will send the Scyphozoa against us again," said Harry as he scratched is chin. "He'll do anything to get William back under control. No offense."

"None taken. I expect I'll have to sit out on this one," said William sadly.

"There are more than enough seats in the Skid," said Sissi. "We programmed one for you. Or, rather, the clever clogs programmed a seat."

"Anyway, you wanted to speak to me?"

William nodded and they walked away.

Outside

Harry led William to a deserted part of the school.

"You know, if I was under Xana's control, this would be a good place to deal with you," said William.

"You wanted to say something?" asked Harry as he raised an eyebrow. "And you're not under Xana's control. Trust me, I can tell."

"Yeah. I had a nightmare last night."

"Everyone has nightmares from time to time," said Harry. "That's normal. You don't need to come to me to talk about it."

"I know. But I was here, on Earth. I had a sedative and there was this voice…"

"Telling you to take me to Lyoko?" asked Harry as he stiffened. William nodded. "It sounds like the time when you sedated me."

"I sedated you?"

"Yeah. Then you took me to Lyoko and gave me to the Scyphozoa. I ended up in the same state you were because I was unconscious so I couldn't resist." Harry noticed the look on William's face. "Stop beating yourself up. It wasn't your fault. I blame Xana. He's the one who wants me. Besides, it's obvious that I got out of it. Otherwise we wouldn't be here now."

William slowly slid down the wall. Harry sat down next to him.

Later

"This is your fantastic and breathtaking experience? A dumb fishing trip?" asked Herb incredulously. Nicholas threw the line into the water.

"Yeah, you wouldn't believe how fantastic and breathtaking it can be to catch a big, fat pike!"

"And you're a clownfish, you know that, Nicholas?"

"Shhh! You'll scare the fish away if you talk too loud!"

They noticed the group up on the bridge.

"What are they doing out at this hour?" asked Herb. "And is that the new member of staff?"

Harry glanced down and stared at the two boys.

"Uh, guys, we may have a problem. Nicholas and Herb have seen us. I may also be developling some excellent night vision."

Lyoko

"Harry, black with orange stripes? Honestly?" asked William as they walked to the elevator.

"I don't what you're complaining about," said Sissi. "It suits you."

"I'm never going to get used to this," muttered Sirius.

"And where's my sword?"

"You have to call it out," explained Harry as he called his out. William copied him and sent it back.

"I suggest you hurry to your transporter spots," said Jeremy as they entered the hanger. Harry separated from the rest of the group.

"Where's he going?" asked William.

"You'll see," said Ulrich with a small smile.

"Ok, energise."

The disappeared and reappeared in the Skid. Jeremy removed the supports and they started to move up and out of the sector.

"Where's Harry?" asked William. The Lightning shot past them as they dived. "What the…"

"Show off," muttered Ulrich. "He just has to show how fast he is."

"Set course for one seventy and look out for a hub," ordered Jeremy.

"Got it!"

"I'll enter the coordinates of the sphere you saw."

Aelita flew into a hub. Harry waited.

Factory

"This place is weird…oh…let's get out of here, it gives me the creeps," said Herb as they entered the factory.

"Don't worry, I'm here," reminded Nicholas as he swung down.

"Yeah, glad to hear it…"

"What are you doing up there?" asked Nicholas as Herb didn't follow. "Come down!"

"I'm scared of heiiights! I really get dizzy when I'm high uuup!"

"Don't worry, you're only fifteen metres above the ground!"

"Nicholas, would you shut up?!"

Nicholas helped him down and they walked over to the elevator.

"Uh, that looks really ancient," said Herb. "What if the cable snaps? Or the motor fails?"

"I get the point. Let's find another way around."

Digital sea

The Skid shot out of the hub and Aelita applied the retros before turning the lights on. Harry did the same.

"Ok Jeremy, we're coming to the sphere now."

"Ok Aelita. Check the south pole for a portal like on Lyoko."

"I've got a visual."

"You never told me how you became part of the group," William said to Sirius as Aelita rotated the Skid and activated a key. Harry slipped past the lock. "That's cheating Harry!"

"There's an access code to crack, it's going to take a couple of minutes," reported Jeremy.

"You have got to see this," said Harry from inside the sphere. "It's incredible."

"I cracked it."

The locked opened and Aelita piloted the Skid inside.

"Harry was right," said Jeremy as the Skid rose to where Harry was waiting. "This is an exact copy of Lyoko! Except there's only one sector."

"Xana created another Lyoko on the network? But why?" asked Aelita.

"I have no idea. But you can bet it's not to save humanity! And knowing our friend Xana, he must have made a lot of other copies."

"He must need a massive amount of processing for something," said Harry. "Whatever it is, it's not good for us."

"So, are we checking this out?" asked Sirius. "Or are we going back to school?"

"We need as much data as possible."

Aelita transferred everyone onto the path as Harry climbed out.

"All this for another Forest territory?" asked Odd. "Well I guess we're not out of the woods yet!"

Factory

"I wonder what that group were doing here."

"Well, they're not here now." Herb turned to leave but Nicholas stopped him.

"What's that light?"

They walked towards it and Herb hit something with his foot.

"OUCH!" They paused as the noise echoed.

Lab

Jeremy glanced in the direction of the noise then at Harry's clones. They nodded and ran off.

Forest

"Ok, what you're going to do now is work in groups of two. Three groups will go out exploring while the other watches the Skid and the Lightning," explained Jeremy.

"I'm going with Harry," said William as he grabbed the ninja's arm.

"Don't I have a choice?" asked Harry.

"Nope."

"I'll go with Ulrich," said Sissi as she stood next to him. Aelita and Yumi glanced at each other and stood next to each other.

"I suggest you get going then. Harry, can you order your clones to get Herb and Nicholas away from the factory? And can you get inside a tower to see what you can access?"

"Done." Harry and William jogged away as did everyone but Sirius and Odd.

"So not fair," moaned Odd. "I'm stuck with the old guy."

Several minutes passed.

"Odd, watch out. There's a Megatank!"

He narrowly dodged the attack and it hit the Skid.

"Everyone, Xana's attacking the Skid! We need you back."

"Jeremy, I'm inside the tower," said Harry. "William's waiting outside. I can move the Lightning back into the digital sea if you want me too before getting some data."

"Do that."

Harry sent the order then rose to the next level.

"Listen, if the Skid is destroyed, I can't guarantee you a return journey."

"You could reroute them through the Lightning," suggested Harry.

Odd fired as Sirius threw knifes. Odd looked at him.

"Since when did you get knifes?"

"What?"

"Can you get more power to the shields?" asked Aelita.

"I can. I'll have to reroute a chunk of energy from the supercomputer though."

"Isn't taking energy from the Supercomputer…kinda risky?" asked Aelita as she created a wall of energy.

"Harry, I've got enough data for now. We won't have enough power to launch a Return to the Past, but because Xana hasn't attacked anything in the real world, it shouldn't be necessary!"

"Harry, get out here," called William, his voice trembling. "I think you should see this."

Harry deactivated the tower and jumped down before running straight into William.

"What's the problem?" William pointed. "Oh."

They stared at the William clone. It looked exactly like William when he was under Xana's control.

"I think Xana created it using the data he had when you were under his control," said Harry. "And it's probably going to try to delay us or capture us so the Scyphozoas can get their grubby tentacles on us and turn us into what amounts to glorified slaves."

"There's two of those things?" asked William nervously. Harry nodded. "How do we get out of here?"

"Super Smoke. I didn't remove it so we can get out of danger and help the Skid."

"How do you know that I have it?" asked William as the clone advanced.

"That's easy. I copied it off you. And I checked. It's still there."

They turned into smoke and headed for the Skid. The clone did the same.

Factory

Harry's clones peered around the corner. They made faces as they bounced ideas off each other before one darted out and sent a metal bar skidding across the floor. Herb and Nicholas turned as the clone dashed back behind cover.

Forest

"We have a problem," said Harry as the two arrived at the Skid.

"We've got a problem here too if you hadn't noticed," said Aelita. "Can you destroy those stupid Megatanks for us?"

Harry threw two shuriken and the Megatanks blew up.

"Why do they blow up? I'm sure that they'll end up harming someone with that one day."

"Ok, who's using Super Smoke?" asked Ulrich as they saw the smoke approaching.

"Not us."

"Ok, now I see why you say there's trouble," said Yumi as the clone reformed and focused on Harry and William.

"Uh-oh! The Skid's done for if Mr Handsome Clone gets his hands on it," said Odd. The clone broke through the barrier. "Sorry pal, you came a little too late to wreck everything!"

"And we're done for if he gets his hands on us," said Harry.

Odd fired on the clone as Harry slipped behind it. The clone knocked Odd off the edge and Aelita devirtualised him. Harry tried to attack but the clone dodged using super smoke and pressed Harry to the ground as he overbalanced. Ulrich sent the Overbike into the clone and Harry grunted as it rolled over him.

"Watch where you send that thing!"

"Everyone knows that speeding is really dangerous!" called Ulrich. "Better face facts, Xana, you're not going to win this time."

The clone growled and pressed Harry down again as the Scyphozoas rose up. William started to panic.

"Please devirtualise me. Please."

Ulrich shrugged and stabbed him. Harry flipped the clone and stabbed him, causing the clone is disperse into smoke.

"I suggest we get out of here."

Harry called the Lightning back up and everyone else embarked the Skid.

Later

"So, what's the situation with Herb and Nicholas?" asked Yumi as they walked into the lab.

"My clones found it funny to turn into Odd and Aelita and kiss," said Harry. "Before turning into me. I think Herb and Nicholas think this place is haunted now."

"I'm just worried about this Lyoko copy. If there's one out there, it…means there's also another supercomputer infected with Xana somewhere else on Earth. To destroy the new supercomputer, I'm going to have to figure out how some sort of way to materialise you into the real world from the copy," said Jeremy. "I'm sure that Harry and Aelita will help me."

"Oh relax, Einstein, we'll handle that when the time comes," said Ulrich. "Besides, I'm sure Harry could whip us something up in a few seconds."

"It might take me a bit longer than a second Ulrich," said Harry with an eye roll. "More like a few minutes. I would also have to do research."

"Well, we can always go through the data Harry retrieved," said Aelita. "And have you have you heard about the new girl that's settling in today?"

"I think we should go meet her," said William. "At least so we know who she is."

"And I need to get back to work," said Sirius as he sighed. "Before someone notices that I'm missing. I'm supposed to be on patrol."

Everyone agreed and they jogged out the lab.

Kadic

The group watched as the new girl wandered around school. Harry stared at her in confusion.

"Do you know her?" asked William as he nudged Harry.

"Her name's Luna Lovegood if I'm not mistaken. Bur she's English and went to Hogwarts."

"What?" asked William.

"Tell you later."

Harry ran over and the girl looked at him with a dreamy expression. "Hello Harry Potter."

"Uh, Luna, it's Harry Stern. And what are you doing here?"

"Daddy moved here and enrolled me at this school. There are Crumple Horned Snorkacks in the area as well as some Nargles."

"What is she talking about?" asked Jeremy as they caught up.

"I have no idea. I met her once. She's always been strange so I think they're just parts of her imagination."

"You hold the fate of two worlds in your hands," Luna said abruptly. Everyone looked at her. "All of you do."

"Well, what makes you say that?" asked Sissi suspiciously.

"You're protectors. It's the way you stand and speak."

"Our body language," muttered Harry. "How observant. And she happens to be right."

Odd watched her interestedly.

"Watch it Odd. I don't think she'll like it if you go after her then dump her," warned Harry. "She might cook up some kind of revenge. What house were you in at Hogwarts anyway?"

"Ravenclaw," said Luna dreamily. "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure."

Everyone looked confused.

"The house of the intelligent," said Harry quickly. "She's clever with a good imagination judging by her earlier statements."

"Man, if this keeps up, the whole school will know," muttered Ulrich as Luna walked off. "I prefer the times when it was just us six."

"Sure you do," said Yumi. "But you must admit the more people the better."

"That's true," said Ulrich. The bell rang.

"Ok, it's time for bed," said Harry as he sighed. "We'll see you tomorrow Yumi."

They waved as they headed in different directions.
