I'd rather not talk about it.

Everyone except Harry was panting as they ran down a path.

"Come on. Let's do it a little fast. Faster!" called Jeremy. His hair went flying as Harry sped up. "Not that fast Harry!"

"I don't believe it, he's trying to kill us," muttered Aelita. Odd tripped up.

"You guys are ridiculous! You're way too slow! What a bunch of snails! 'Cept you, Odd, even a snail runs faster than you! The only one who is fast enough is Harry," said Jeremy as he checked his watch. Harry rolled his eyes.

"Since when does the least athletic person in the world think he's better than I am?!" asked Odd. "And everyone knows that Harry is fast enough and he doesn't get tried easily. I'm jealous."

"Hey, that's true. Getting a little carried away, aren't ya, Einstein?" asked Ulrich. Kiwi growled at enemy.

"I'm going to be so sore in the morning," moaned Sissi as she sank to the floor.

"It wasn't that bad," piped up William.

"Don't blame me," said Jeremy as he raised his hands. "The stopwatch doesn't lie."

Kadic

"That was even worse than last time," said Jeremy as everyone sat down. "How do you expect to beat Xana if you don't speed up?"

"If I speed up, I can get from here to the factory in under ten seconds," said Harry with a smile. "Then I can go deactivate the tower."

"That's too risky," said Jeremy as he shook his head. "Xana would leap at the chance to get you on your own."

"You're a real comedian," said Odd. "All you ever do is time us Jeremy. Anyone can do that."

"One's thing for sure, if you don't get into shape, you won't get any stronger," said Jeremy. "And Xana's going to beat you, hands down."

"I don't want to get any stronger," pointed out Harry as he glanced around. He placed his hands under the bench and lifted it up with Aelita, Yumi and Sissi still on it. "See what I mean? I'm a big enough target for Xana already. I don't want him to focus even more on me."

He put it back down.

"Maybe there's a better…a better way of getting in shape," said Yumi. "And don't do that again Harry. How did you do it?"

Harry shrugged. "We're stronger on Lyoko. I guess that transferred over. It's both useful and annoying."

"I get it! You're just badly trained. And if you guys can't keep up, it's my fault," said Jeremy.

"Well yeah!" said Odd and Ulrich.

"Ok, fine. I may not be the best trainer in the world but you have to admit, you don't exactly listen to me," huffed Jeremy.

"That's true too," said Yumi. "Maybe we should find someone else. A specialist."

"A specialist? Mind telling me where you expect to find one of those?" asked Jeremy.

"I know," said Harry as he raised his hand.

Jim's room

"What are you doing here?" asked Jim as he opened the door. "Can't a man have a little piece and quiet?"

"Well, you might think this is a little crazy," started Jeremy.

"Nothing can surprise me since I orbited the Earth. Spit it out."

"Well um…well we heard that you were once a Special Forces trainer," said Jeremy.

"That's right! Special Forces, the SIF! Secret Intervention Force. Hehehehe…ah, those were the good old days! But that being said, I'd rather not talk about it," said Jim. Harry stifled a chuckle.

"Would you be willing to train students, like us?" asked Jeremy.

"Training students?"

"Yeah, like a commando camp. Like the special intervention thingyambijig."

"Be at the cross road at 1500 hours. Dressed for sports."

"Already?" asked Yumi.

"It's not every day that a student recognises my ability. Especially you, Belpois! I never imagined that anyone could ever turn you into a man! A real one!"

"No, you don't understand! I was talking about training the others, not for me," Jeremy said quickly.

"And do I have to do it?" asked Sissi.

"This training course is for everybody!" yelled Jim. "1500 hours and on time!"

"Ha! This'll do wonders for you, Jeremy! Now you'll be able to put your stopwatch away for a little while! All right," said Odd.

"You did kinda ask for it," said Harry. "And you could get into shape too. You need to be at the lab so we can get to Lyoko."

Outside

"This is stupid," said an annoyed Jeremy. "I can't do a commando camp. I have a ton of other things on my plate. Like how to get rid of that William clone. I have this felling that it will turn up again."

"I think you're just afraid of sweating a little," said Yumi. Harry laughed.

"What if Xana attacks?"

"Just bring your computer with you," suggested Ulrich.

"Man, someone's paranoid," said William.

"Don't worry Jeremy, Jim's commando camp can't possibly do us any harm, huh," said Aelita as she put her hand on his shoulder.

"With Jim…you never can tell…"

Later

"I have never seen a weaker pack of legless slugs in my life! 1500 hours sharp does not mean 1502 or 1503," yelled Jim.

"Oh, we're not going to split hairs over a few seconds, huh? My watch…" said Odd.

"Your watch doesn't watch with me, Della Robbia! I give the orders around here so straighten up! Ok, let's go! We're starting with some basic push ups after we run to the site!"

"You know, I wonder if it wasn't a mistake to recruit Jim…" muttered Aelita.

"No Aelita, it wasn't just a mistake. It was a huge, colossal mistake," said Jeremy, "I think even Harry might struggle."

The started to do the push ups and Jeremy collapsed.

"Jeremy, are you ok?" asked Aelita as they moved onto another exercise.

"Not really, I feel awful…"

"Hey, what do you think you're doing, Belpois?" asked Jim. "This is only the beginning! By the time I'm through with you, you're going to be a man so get up now!"

"Jim, don't you think you're overdoing it?" asked Yumi as Jeremy stood up. "We want training, not torture!"

"What torture?" asked Harry. "This isn't any worse than what I do at the running club."

"Wrong young lady. You're participating at Jim's boot camp. That means two things. You sweat and you don't complain. Unless you want ten extra push ups! From this moment on, we live and die together as a group, got it?"

Everyone except Harry groaned.

"Ok, ok, no need to get carried away." muttered Odd quietly.

"YOU GOT IT, ODD?!" yelled Jim.

"Sir, yes sir!" said everyone as they jumped to attention.

"Ok, let's move!"

They started to run. Harry kept up with Jim but everyone else lagged behind.

"Get those knees up, you soft-shelled crabs! Go on! Hey Belpois, you couldn't even outrun a one-legged chicken! Hehehe! Left, right! Left, right! And left right!" yelled Jim enthusiastically. "You should be more like your roommate."

"At this rate, we'll need a week to recover," said Aelita as Jeremy and Odd reached them.

"Young lady, it's adversity that creates strength and courage, and that's the shortest path to fame and glory!"

Later

"Cut the clowning, Della Robbia! This is not a circus," said Jim as Odd dropped off a monkey bar. "Stern, don't be a wimp! You've got nothing to be afraid of except a sore bottom! Come on, Belpois! No use hanging there like a wet sock on a clothesline! Move it! Get the lead out and crawl! Faster, you hear! Stones! I said "on top of it"! Dunbar! Stop being a monkey! Not bad for the first time. Now, let's take a break and then start a new workout!"

"Hey, you know what, Jim?" asked Yumi as they sat down. "We'd love to hear about your past life. I know you usually don't want to talk about it, but since it's just between us, members of the same commando group…"

"Ahem…right. Well then listen up! Exceptionally for you, I'll give you a quick run-down! It all began when I completed my training to become a physical education instructor. I was also a licensed scuba diver! And that's why the…marines recruited me for their Special Forces. NASA heard of me and since I was now a Special Forces diver, they had me test out their spacesuits underwater. So after having received a medal from the president, I was then appointed to the Secret Service! Hehe…"

Lyoko

Two towers in the forest sector activated.

Outside

"…and believe me, Rosita Banana didn't just play the accordion, she was also a heck of a pilot! When I arrived in Buenos Aires with my cameras, her biplane bowled me over," finished Jim. Jeremy's laptop beeped and Harry rubbed his head. "Break's over. A quick jog to break off the rust."

Jeremy checked his laptop and ran after the group.

Others

They froze as they ran into a boar. A spectre slipped up behind them where Harry and William were standing and grabbed them. It passed an electric current through them until they slumped and carried them off.

"What is that?" asked Ulrich. "Harry?"

He turned and noticed their disappearance.

"Where did they go?"

"It's a wild pig," said Jim.

"But it's huge! Let's go another way…" said Yumi as they backed away.

"Hm…oh relax, it's nothing! I had it much worse than this when I was in Burma!"

The animal charged and Jim diverted it. It charged again and its eyes turned to the eye of Xana.

"Did you see that?" asked Ulrich.

"It must have been Xana who took Harry and William," said Sissi. "He used the boar as a distraction."

"Hey, watch out Jim, it's not as normal animal," called Ulrich.

"Come to Jim, little piglet! Here, little piggy!"

Jeremy arrived and Jim pushed him out of the way of the charging boar.

"Jim? Are you ok?"

"Yeah. How's the other guy?"

The boar charged again and Ulrich threw a rock at it.

Wow, nice shot," said Odd.

"Hey Ulrich, you've got a great arm," said Aelita.

"I'll create a diversion…"

"Good thing you've got fast legs too, go," ordered Yumi as Ulrich ran. The boar followed him.

"Xana sent this thing after us," said Jeremy. "There's no time to lose. Get to the computer lab. Where's Harry and William?"

"We think Xana took them," said Yumi. "What about you?"

"I'll stay here with Jim. And if Ulrich can't join you, all of you will be needed. Meet up with Harry and William on Lyoko. That's where they'll end up. Xana has nothing good planned for them. I bet that they'll be under his control by the time you get there."

"Good luck," said Aelita as they ran.

"Jim! Get up, Jim! I'll help you!"

"Yes, mister President! The mission has to go on whatever it takes…even if it costs me my stripes…" said Jim.

Lyoko

The two boys dropped to the floor of the forest sector. Harry opened his eyes slowly.

"Ok, getting electrocuted hurts. Why am I so tired?"

He gasped as something impacted his back. Harry glanced at William who had a Scyphozoa's tentacles in him. He quickly worked out that the same had happened to him as he felt a malevolent intelligence slip into him. Of course. Xana.

"Sleep."

Harry closed his eyes at the whispered command. When he opened them again, they had turned to the eye of Xana. The Scyphozoas retreated and Harry smiled.

Ulrich

Ulrich continued to run from the boar. He climbed up the net and the boar ran into it. The animal turned and ran. Ulrich pulled out his phone.

"Jeremy. The boar's heading back your way. I'm off to join the others."

Aelita

The quickly crawled under some branches. Yumi hesitated then followed them. They ran over a log and paused at a crossroads before continuing.

Jeremy

"We have to find a way to conceal our hiding place," said Jeremy as he put his phone away. "I'll camouflage it with some branches."

"Give me a minute to regain my strength and I'll join you," said Jim. "My leg's fine."

He tried to stand up but winced in pain.

"No coach. Don't move. I'll take care of it."

Jeremy found some ferns and covered the entrance.

"I fell so helpless," said Jim.

"Your knee is all swelled up. You'll need an x ray to see if he bone's broken," explained Jeremy. "I'm going to have to immobilise it so it won't hurt any worse."

"Pretty good splint there, Belpois," said Jim as Jeremy wrapped a shirt around it. "I haven't seen work like that in a long time. You never worked with the Magyar Commandos, did you?"

"No, it's just a question of common sense. An injured joint won't get any worse if it doesn't move."

"Exactly! You would've made a good soldier, Belpois! If only you had a little more muscle."

"Perhaps you don't know this Jim but the brain is like a muscle and that's the one I've been exercising."

Lab

"Come on. Every second counts," said Yumi as they ran to the terminal. "We have to find Harry and William and deactivate the tower."

"William and Harry are in the core chamber with some monsters," said Aelita. "Jeremy was right. They're Xanafied."

Lyoko

Harry and William rode up on mantas to the core.

"Fire."

The mantas fired on the core.

Lab

"You three get down to the scanners," said Aelita. "We have to protect the core."

"What about the tower?" asked Yumi.

"I guess I'll have to manage that alone…"

"No, not alone! Old, reliable Ulrich is here," said Ulrich as he entered the lab. "The boar went after Jeremy."

"We'd better not waste any time," said Aelita.

The four ran to the scanners.

"Transfer Sissi. Transfer Odd. Transfer Yumi. Scanner Yumi. Scanner Sissi. Scanner Odd. Virtualisation. I've already called up your vehicles. There's no time to lose."

Aelita set up the delayed virtualisation program and ran to the scanners.

"Where's the activated tower?" asked Ulrich.

"In the forest."

Jeremy

Jim sniffed a leaf. "It's got a funny smell."

Jeremy sniffed it. "Peppermint. Bad news Jim, our camouflage is useless! The boar's sense of smell is going to give us away!"

"It sure will. There's a good chance of that…a better than even chance," said Jim.

"We've gotta find a way to hide our scent…but how?" asked Jeremy. "I'm sure Harry would know. He's got a lot of facts squirreled away."

"If we had a little caribou poop, we could cover ourselves with it," suggested Jim.

"Uh…did you say caribou…poop?" asked Jeremy in surprise.

"Yeah, it's an old Indian trick I used to use in Quebec to surprise arsonists in the forest. Anyway, we're not in Canada, so that means no caribou poop…"

"That's good. No way am I going to smear myself with any kind of poop! On the other hand, I'll be right back."

"Wait!"

Jeremy had already gone.

Lyoko

"Wow, valet parking," said Ulrich as he jumped on the Overbike. Aelita jumped on behind him and they rode off.

Jeremy

"Here Jim. Rub it on yourself, it's mint. It should cover our scent."

"It's a nauseating odour…" said Jim as he rubbed it on himself.

"I like it much more than caribou poop, don't you?"

"Oh, I don't know…"

"Ok, now all we can do is wait. We'd better hope that the others manage to deactivate the tower on Lyoko…" muttered Jeremy as he finished rubbing the leaves on himself.

"Hey, are you delirious or what, Belpois?" asked Jim.

"Uh, just daydreaming, Jim. W-why don't you tell me about when you were in Canada?"

"Ah! Well, that is a long story!"

Sector five

"I feel a lot better on this machine that on Jim's ropes," said Odd as they jumped on their vehicles.

"I just hope we're not too late for Harry and William," said Yumi.

Forest

"Where did the tower go?" asked Ulrich as he skidded to a stop.

"There must be a calibration error," said Aelita. "This won't be easy without someone to guide us."

They started to dodge Krabe fire. Aelita hit one with an energy field.

"Well anyway, with all these troops around, the tower can't be that far…" said Ulrich. They drove for a while.

"We have to go back," said Aelita. "The tower has to be there."

They turned around and Ulrich was knocked off. Aelita jumped off as the bike hit a tree. She threw an energy filed and it missed. Another Krabe devirtualised Ulrich.

Sector five

The three flew through the valve. Yumi pressed the key and the stairs appeared. They looked at the monsters.

"Wow, Harry wasn't kidding when he said that he improved the core's protection," said Odd as they started at the ten shield layers.

"Attack!"

The mantas dived down as the three started to move up.

"Sissi, you go speak to Harry," said Yumi. "You're likely to break him out of it."

"Whoa! Beware of falling objects!" called Odd as the mantas fired on them. Yumi blocked the shots with her fans. Harry watched them then turned to the core. Sissi flew up as Yumi and Odd distracted the mantas.

"Hey, isn't that your boyfriend up there?" asked Odd as he looked at William. Yumi threw her fans at the mantas.

"He's not my boyfriend! He's a little too clingy for me anyhow!"

Jeremy

"And that's when I found out that as far back as a century, I was a full-blooded Indian! …it looks like your little trick worked," said Jim as the boar moved away.

"Yeah, the mint smells strong enough now to trick him, but how much longer will it last?" wondered Jeremy.

"Well anyway, one thing about caribou poop, it lasts a long time."

"He found us! What do we do now?" asked Jim as the boar pushed its' snout through the ferns. Jeremy jumped up and ran outside screaming.

"AAAAAAHH! YAAAH! Hey, what're you waiting for?! I'm over here! HEEEY! HEY! FOLLOW MEEE!"

"Huh? That kid doesn't have muscle, but he's sure big on guts!"

Sector five

"The first shield layer is about to go," said Yumi. "We need to stop them before they get through all ten."

"I know, and I've got an idea!

"Oh yeah? What's that?" asked Yumi.

"Skydiving! YAHOOOOOOOO!" Odd jumped on a manta as Sissi reached Harry.

"Harry!"

"Hello Sissi."

Odd rode his manta up and the others fired on him. He jumped off as his blew.

"Man Harry. You could have helped a friend out." Harry cocked his head. "Don't you remember all the times we fought side by side?"

"It's too late."

Odd blocked several shots but was devirtualised. Yumi hit the manta with her fans and William jumped off his.

"You're not one of Xana's slaves Harry," said Sissi. "You belong with us."

Harry closed his eyes.

"Remember all the good times," called Yumi. Harry rubbed his head. "The bad times. The times you were happy. The times you were sad. You can fight back Harry."

William advanced on Yumi as Harry fell off his manta. Sissi caught him.

Jeremy

Jeremy climbed up the tree. The boar ran round it as Jeremy slid across the ropes. The boar charged at the tree and shook the ropes. The boar hit the tree again and Jeremy slipped.

Forest

Aelita threw an energy field and it missed the Krabe. She ran under it and hit it.

"How are you doing?" asked Ulrich.

"You can tell me where the tower is."

"According to this, you're right next to it."

"That's impossible," said Aelita as she threw an energy filed at the Krabe following her. "I can't see it."

She threw an energy field. It missed the Krabe but hit the tower.

"Got it! Xana's pulled this one on us before!"

Sector five

William swung his sword at Sissi and the energy wave hit her. Harry's wings formed as he flew down as William tried to hit Yumi, misused, and got his sword stuck in the wall. Yumi jumped on it and kicked William in the face as Harry landed. William summoned his sword as Yumi jumped off and Harry ran to her side. Yumi sent her fan at him and he defected it.

"That was a volley shot, it's all over for you," yelled William as he ran at her. Yumi threw her other fan and flipped him when he dodged. The first fan hit him and devirtualised him, causing him to disperse into smoke.

"…and I would call that wishful thinking, William dear," said Yumi. "Nice to have you back Harry."

"Yeah. Looks like we need the clone back though."

Jeremy

"I promise never to eat pork again," said Jeremy. The boar was hit in the head by a rock. It turned, furious.

"I'm sorry Jim, but you never should have left the cave!" called Jeremy from behind a tree.

"Lemme tell ya kid, you've got guts. But if you think that I'd abandon my men under fire, you don't know good old Jim!"

The boar ran off.

Forest sector

Harry jumped on top of the Krabe and stabbed it as Aelita ran into the tower.

"Hey, you didn't do a Return to the Past! You sure Jim has forgotten everything?" asked Yumi.

"Just the opposite, he remembers everything. And that's the best insurance that there is. To him our wild boar was a crazy and dangerous animal, but a completely normal one," explained Jeremy. "But now we have to work on freeing William again. At least it wasn't his fault."

"Oh hello there, Jim! We're glad to see you back on two feet again," said Aelita as Jim walked over.

"More like three, huh! It's just a bad sprain and a nasty bruise. I'll be good as new in two weeks time. Where's William?"

"I'm here Jim," said the William clone as it walked over.

"Just two weeks for one day of boot camp?" asked Yumi.

"That say was very enlightening for me. You may not have been up to the commando level, but you showed great spirit, you really did! As soon as I'm back in shape, I'll organise lots of other training sessions! And I hope to see you all there," said Jim.

"Um…"

"Uh, not me, I'm booked through the end of the year, I've got a…sleep session," said Odd.

"Honestly Jim, it's too much of…uh…" said Yumi as she tried to think of a word.

"A horror. I uh, too much of an honour," said Ulrich.

"I'm too sore," said Sissi.

"I'll be there. I owe you one, Jim," said Jeremy.

"So will I," said Harry.

"Excellent, Belpois and Stern! I knew I could count on you, kids!" said Jim.

"I must be dreaming! "I'll be there"?! Wow, you could've come up with a better answer than that! "No" for instance, or "never" or "nein" or "nyet"!" said Odd.

"He must really like Jim's torture," said Ulrich. "Harry must like it too."

"HARRY POTTER!"

Harry groaned as he watched Dumbledore, the red haired big fat mess, the know-it-all and the English minister for magic walk over.

"What are they doing here?" asked Jeremy.

"Looking for me. Jim?"

"What are you guys doing here?" asked Jim. "I thought I told you to keep off the grounds."

"You did," said Harry. "They didn't listen."

"Harry, why didn't you come to the weighing of the wands?" asked Dumbledore in a grandfatherly voice.

"The what?" asked Harry, genuinely confused.

"The weighing of the wands boy," said Fudge arrogantly. "Al champions must have their wands checked.

"You have to participate mate," said Ron. "You lose your magic otherwise."

"It also means you have to come to a proper school," said Hermione snobbishly. "Like Hogwarts."

"Are these guys nuts?" asked Jim.

"Yep," said Harry as he leant against the bench. "They think I entered a completion when I didn't. A deadly one. They also think I'm called Harry Potter. Oh, look, here come the authorities."

"You have to come with us," said one.

"I am Albus Dumbledore. I am not under your laws."

"Yes but we're charging you with the kidnapping of a french citizen," said another. "And that is against your laws. We also recorded what happened at the choosing. Harry clearly said that he didn't want to enter and that his name wasn't harry potter and the contract says that it has to be the name the person is using."

They catered them off. Everyone laughed.
