Disclaimer: Card Captor Sakura does not belong to me. The day they do, my professors would stop giving me assignments and tests, Johnny Depp would step in front of my door and profess his undying love for me and a flying purple monkey will zoom around the city.

I'm sorry I was gone for almost a year. Real life has a way to interfere and make time flies like crazy. I loved the characters in Dark Ice and they had a good run. I enjoyed writing them and watching them took a life of their own in my imagination was beyond words. I realized that it's not fair to keep you guys waiting for so long. And I strongly feel that it's time for us to end this story .This is the last chapter for Dark Ice. Thank you for being patient with me. Your reviews are the ones that kept me writing. Stay awesome.

Sakura was feeling frustrated. They had won the war. Everything is going back to normal. She had assumed her position as queen of the Dark clan besides Syaoran and yet.. he hasn't.. they haven't..

Sakura fought the urge to bang her head against the headboard of the bed. She couldn't even put it in words in her own mind. She watched as Syaoran came to their bed, she averted her eyes when he took of his night tunic and tossed them somewhere. She should have gotten used to him. Should have gotten used to the sinewy muscle and golden skin but she hadn't. She found him fascinating. She never got bored of watching him.

Syaoran grinned. Teasing Sakura was always fun. He found that he had an unhealthy obsession for her blushes. Taking his tunic off at night had never failed to make that pretty blush appear on his wife's face. He had enjoyed her less than subtle scrutiny of his body. It certainly is not fair if he's the only one who thought that she was gorgeous. Sometimes the urge to just grabbed Sakura, hauled her on his shoulder and tossed her on the bed could be overwhelming. He wanted her.

Not yet but soon. He wanted her injuries to be fully healed. For them to just enjoy each other without discomfort. He didn't want to hurt her. She has been through enough hurt for a lifetime from the war. He wouldn't add to that. He had vowed to protect her for the rest of his life. He's going to keep that vow. Even if it killed him.

Syaoran loved her. It was obvious by the way he treated her. Stealing kisses in the hallway, holding hands when they went for walks in the city. His free time was dedicated to her. Sakura had no doubts of his feelings. He wanted her but he isn't.. He would pull her against him when they are under the covers at night and he would kiss her slow and languorously. He would snuggle against her, whispered good night and she would be drugged by his warmth and promptly fell asleep. He is painfully gentle when touching her.

She had a feeling like Syaoran was waiting for her. A signal that she didn't know how to give. Maybe there's a password among the newlyweds that her mother forgot to tell her. Her eyebrows furrowed from the thought before she dismissed it. Her mother wouldn't forget to tell her something important like that. So she tried the bluntest way that she could think of.

"I want to sleep with you."

Syaoran slowly turned his head to watch her burning face. He slipped closer to her. His movement slow and deliberate, trying not to scare her. Syaoran took in her stiff posture and slightly trembling hands. His heart beating a wild beat beneath his chest.

"Sweetheart.."

Sakura finally met his eyes. She nibbled on her bottom lip delicately, innocently uncertain. Syaoran followed the movement with his eyes hungrily. He wanted her.

"I want… to be yours?"

Sakura felt like her head is going to explode from all the blood rushing to her face. Syaoran wanted to explode from frustration. She was asking him to touch her. How could he refuse? He would be gentle. Syaoran decided. He would control himself no matter how much he wanted to lose himself with her.

His fingers couldn't help but tremble as he reached for the spot where the arrow had pierced her above the heart. Understanding flooded into her eyes and the smile she gave him made his knees weak. She was so beautiful. Sakura pulled her own tunic down, just enough to expose the wound. Except there was nothing there. Not a scar marring her milky white skin.

"I'm half Wild, remember? My body heals faster than most. See? It didn't even leave a scar." Sakura whispered softly.

Syaoran growled before pulling her down, effectively trapping her against the bed and his body. Sakura gasped when Syaoran leaned a bit of his weight on her to let her know how much she had affected him. Sakura's breath quickened in anticipation when she saw his hooded eyes.

"You have no idea how much I suffered this past week, love." Syaoran breath was ragged even in his ears.

"I didn't mean to. I wasn't even sure why you're…hesitating until just know." Sakura reddened, trying to defend herself.

Syaoran hummed thoughtfully. She could feel rather than hear the noise. He was so close. Sakura waited for him to move. To do anything but Syaoran seemed content just staring at her.

"Touch me." Syaoran whispered, she could barely hear him.

"Where?"

"Anywhere." Everywhere.

Sakura smiled softly. Her small hands cupped his cheeks, softly trailing her fingers along his strong jaw. He is beautiful. Her fingers moved to trace his cheekbones. She used her thumb to caress his bottom lip; she loved everything about this man. Syaoran lazily shut his eyes; she made the most innocent touches seemed sensual. But maybe he was just biased. Sakura sifted through his hair, enjoying the sensation against her palm. She placed her hand against the back of his head and gently brought him down to her.

Their lips met gently. Tasting, enjoying each other thoroughly. Syaoran flicked his tongue against her lips, demanding entrance and Sakura complied. Syaoran kissed her to his heart content and Sakura's fingers gripped his biceps tightly. The onslaught of emotion was too raw, almost unbearable for her to handle. She could barely think. Only feel. She heard the rustling of clothes and only realized it was hers when she felt the cool air touching her bared skin. Syaoran quickly remedy that by pressing his warm body against hers.

Sakura caressed Syaoran's wide back urgently, encouraging his attention with breathless moans. Syaoran echoed her pleasure with whispered praises and softly spoken words of love. Syaoran groaned when Sakura rained kisses on his neck. Her hands warm and gentle against his skin. Sakura became demanding and Syaoran answered her every plea and even make a couple of his own. Sakura was created for him. Her body fits perfectly against his own. Their bond hummed in pleasure and neither of them had felt anything like it before. Sakura arched against him almost desperately.

"Let go sweetheart. I'm here. I'll catch you." Syaoran encouraged hoarsely.

Syaoran captured Sakura's scream of release with his lips and he followed immediately. True to his word, Syaoran held her tight until her breathing slowed down. He kissed the side of her neck comfortingly and Sakura returned the gesture. Holding each other protectively, they slept the rest of the night away.

Sakura woke to the smell of breakfast. She was tired but her hunger won out. She rubbed the signs of sleep from her eyes only to discover Syaoran heading back to bed with a tray laden with toast, eggs and jam. A pitcher of chilled orange juice completing the breakfast set. Syaoran thought she looked gorgeous. Hair spilling over her shoulders, the contrast between her dark hair and milky skin was driving him to distraction. The sheet held against her chest was just begging to slip down her torso. Sakura reddened beneath his gaze and Syaoran chuckled.

He kissed the top of her head affectionately before placing the tray on their bed. He lathered one of the toasts with Sakura's favorite strawberry jam before handing it to her. Sakura took it with a shy 'thanks' and began munching her breakfast. They were content in the silence and watching the other eat. Syaoran had pushed the breakfast tray away once they're done eating and pulled Sakura towards him. Sakura's objections were short lived under his kisses.

Sakura was announced pregnant a month later by the royal physician. Touya, Eriol and Tomoyo made bets on the gender of the baby. Sakura watched in fascination as Tomoyo blushed beneath Eriol's gaze. Tomoyo and Eriol's wedding was held three months later.

A prince was born to the King Syaoran and Queen Sakura. Syaoran was a proud father and he had won the bet against Eriol. Sakura had also won the bet against Tomoyo. They had named him Ryuu. He had his father's hair and his mother's eyes. The country held a festival for the royal heir for seven days and seven nights. King Fujitaka and Queen Nadeshiko lavished their grandson with gifts from all around the world. They had made a vow to spoil their grandchildren rotten and they're keeping the promise to heart.

When Ryuu was two years old, he found himself with a sister. When the newborn baby held his finger in her small hand, he vowed to protect her. Sakura giggled at her children's attics. They reminded her of Touya and herself. Syaoran softly tucked Sakura's body against him and Sakura leaned against her husband. They shared a soft kiss. Filled with promises, hope and love.

"Another boy and another girl would be perfect." Sakura whispered, careful not to wake the baby in her arms. She was between Syaoran and her son, who is still fascinated by the new addition to the family.

Syaoran was an only child. He remembered wanting siblings to play with. He nodded and placed another kiss on his wife's cheeks. His heart swelling with what could only be described as eternal love.

"That does sound perfect."
