The Thing With Hajimes
Me: Just realized I accidentally left Tornadus out O.O
Kenny: now we have to find Phione AND Torandus
Gold: how could you forget about my fellow prankster?!
Rhythmi: fellow prankster, huh? *Rhythmi and I look over at Keith* now that's an idea
Keith: *stops eating food* why are you two looking at me like that?
Me: nah, that would ruin my plans for him *looks away from Keith*
Keith: what did I miss?
Kenny: we have another legendary protector to find and now Ash has to figure out who is going to Tornadus' choice
Keith: wait, does this mean she figured out for sure who Phione's is?
Me: *waves my hand* sort of, kind of...I think so
Gold: whomever it is has to like pranks
Me: no duh T.T whomever it is has to put up with you
Gold: don't say it like it was a bad thing
Kate: I can wield Keldeo's power! =D
Karrie: At least you won't be trying to freeze me anytime soon
Kellyn: Keldeo can learn Hail and Icy Wind
Karrie =( crap!
Ashleigh: I could teach Kate and Keldeo other ice type moves if you want
Karrie: no! I think she's alright!
Kate: sounds awesome!
Kaleb: don't take her training lightly, it will end badly for you
Ashleigh: my training is not that bad!
Kaleb: no, it's very good and effective, but if taken lightly, then she could have a hard time
Kate: are you showing concern towards me?
Kaleb: no way
Summer: tsundere...
Kaleb: am not! Besides, if any of the OC guys are tsundere, then it would be Nathan!
Me: good point, he is pretty tsundere, more so than you
Kaleb: I'm not tsundere
Karrie: you sort of are
Rhythmi: *googles definition of tsundere* Tsundere, a person who is initially COLD and sometimes even HOSTILE towards another person before gradually showing their warm side over time
Keith: so Karrie in Angels and Fairies Don't Mix Well
Karrie: you weren't exactly the warmest towards me initially in that story either
Keith: you bit me, punched me, and tried to beat me up with a hammer when we first met in that story!
Kate: Kaleb is definitely a tsundere
Me: in this story for sure
Kaleb: Just because I don't like Hajimes does not make me tsundere
Kellyn: pokelover0ash does not own anything except for her OCs.
Chapter 55: Recovery at Summerland
Kate watched as Lyra put Kellyn's left leg in a splint. Keith was holding Karrie's hand while she slept on a bed and he was passed out while kneeling, again.
"I thought Red said none of you had major injuries," Kate said.
"A broken leg is not a very serious injury in Red's mind," Kellyn replied. "He most likely just wanted to keep you from being too worried."
"But still," Kate protested. Kellyn had broken his left leg, right lower arm, and a couple of ribs.
"Hey, I'm alive, aren't I?" Kellyn asked as he put his uninjured hand on her cheek. "I would have been in a worse condition if you hadn't interfered."
"If you would go completely into rage mode, then maybe you wouldn't have been injured so badly," Kenny commented as Rebecca tightly wrapped a bandage around Kenny's head. "Ow, not so tight."
"Sorry, but it was a tough fight, one I don't think we would have won without any of us dying if Kaleb wasn't there and Kate's power never activated." Rebecca replied. "Karrie probably would have been able to defeat everyone eventually, but she would not have been to protect everyone."
"I don't like not having control," Kellyn said.
"I thought it rooted from you not wanting to accidentally hurt Kate," Garnet commented as Kiwi cleaned his wounds with a disinfectant. "That stings!"
"That's part of the reason," Kiwi replied. "The other part is watching what happens when Karrie and the rest of you explode. The last time he exploded, he almost permanently turned Karrie into an ice statue."
"That would have been bad," Kate commented. "Is that why she passes out whenever it gets too cold?"
"No, but it's why she winces and is afraid of my power," Kellyn replied. "She just plain cannot handle the cold at all."
"If you guys keep talking about her, then you're going to wake up the sleeping dragon," Gold said as he stretched his arms. Keith woke up and sleepily looked over at Gold. "Or the dragon's lover."
"The wha?" Keith asked.
"Someone needs to sleep in an actual bed," Kate commented.
"Just in time," Yellow said as she finished changing Red's bandages. "I have to change your bandages soon."
"When did he get injured?" Kate asked and Gold coughed awkwardly as Keith blushed.
"His wounds aren't from the actual battle," Kenny replied.
"Karrie kind of got too into that kiss," Gold added awkwardly.
"She dug her nails into his back, that's his injury," Kellyn replied after sighing and rolling his eyes.
"Oh," Kate commented.
"Hm?" Karrie asked as she opened her eyes. Startled, she jumped and hit her head. "Ow."
"Does being home startle you that much?" Rebecca asked.
"No, I uh just thought I was some place else initially." Karrie replied as she looked around, trying to remember what happened. Her eyes widened as she saw Keith being treated by Yellow. "Hey! What happened to keeping him safe by keeping him away from me while I'm in rage mode?!"
"We tried," Gold said with a shrug.
"He didn't listen," Kellyn added.
"He somehow got free," Red added.
"He was the one who returned you to normal," Kate added and Karrie turned bright red as she remembered the kiss. Her eyes turned red and she went to try to escape the room through the window. Keith ran over and held on to her in order to prevent her from running.
"Why is the girl trying to jump through the window?" Crystal asked as she walked in.
"Karrie, stop, don't run," Keith said.
"I have to go before I hurt you again," Karrie replied. "If I continue to have my emotions run so high, then there's no telling what I might do."
"I know you won't hurt me, not in your rage mode," Keith said and Karrie shook her head.
"I already hurt you while in rage mode," Karrie replied and Keith shook his head.
"No, you didn't," Keith said.
"Yes, I did, I hurt your back," Karrie replied.
"True, but you technically didn't do that in rage mode," Keith said. "It's not too deep and according to the others, if you had been rage mode and dug your nails into my back, then I most likely would be dead with punctured lungs."
"Wait, what?" Karrie asked as she got down and faced him.
"I kissed you while you were in rage mode," Keith replied.
"Yeah, I got that part," Karrie commented as she blushed.
"You started to return to normal, kiss deepened and as the kiss deepened, you dug your nails into my back," Keith replied as he blushed and scratched the back of his head. Karrie turned bright red. "But if it bothers you so much that you might hurt me, then maybe I should go." Keith turned around and went to walk away, but he stopped when he felt something tug at his shirt. Karrie had reached out and grabbed hold of his shirt. Her eyes were trained on the floor.
"Don't go," Karrie said. "I don't even like it when we're apart for a day, I don't want to know how it would feel to be apart from you forever." She clenched one of her hands by her heart. "The way I feel about you, the feeling I get when I'm around you, it's like how Kellyn feels about Kate, how Kate feels about Kellyn..." Kellyn and Kate smiled and blushed."...how Mom feels about Dad, how Rhythmi feels when Isaac is around, how Laurie and Todd feel about each other, how Red feels when he is around Yellow..." Red turned pink as he glanced at Yellow and immediately looked away before Yellow could catch him staring. "...how Gold feels when he's around Crystal."
"Hey! I trusted you!" Gold exclaimed as he blushed. Crystal's eyebrows rose as she looked over at Gold.
"It took me so long to figure it out, and to be able to admit to myself, let alone out loud." Karrie continued, ignoring her cousin who wanted to strangle her or put her in a head lock for revealing his feelings for the blunette while the girl was in the room. "I never really wanted to fall in love and then I met you, Keith."
"We get, you love him, now can you stop before Super Serious Gal figures out what you meant when you referred to my feelings for her?!" Gold exclaimed.
"Put a sock in it, you've only been chickening out of telling her for who knows how long now," Garnet replied.
"Yeah, stop interrupting Ray's speech, it's beautiful," Kenny added and Gold's jaw dropped.
"What happened to you guys?" Gold asked.
"Continue to interrupt and I'm using you as a punching bag for when I train," Kate replied as she shot a glare at him. Gold, not wanting to tick Kate off, decided to zip the lips.
"Anyways, the more I hung out with you, the more these feelings started to sprout and grow. Because of you, I soon discovered that falling in love is one of the most beautiful and best things that could ever happen to a person," Karrie said as she turned as red as Keith's hair. Keith was blushing too. "I now find myself wanting to spend the rest of my life with you."
"I feel like, if she whips out an engagement ring right now, that I'll turn into a total fan girl," Kenny whispered and Garnet tried not to laugh.
"If she does and you do, then I'll try not roll around on the floor laughing too much," Garnet replied quietly.
"So if my emotions run high because of you, then I'll just have get better at controlling my power, so I won't have to worry about hurting you," Karrie said.
"Sorry Kenny, no proposal," Garnet whispered and Kenny kicked his cousin in the leg. Keith turned around and faced Karrie. He intertwined his fingers with hers. Karrie looked up into his chocolate brown eyes.
"Karrie..." Keith said as he smiled slightly and looked into her eyes lovingly. Kiwi got tissues out for Garnet and Kenny who both looked at their youngest cousin questionably as they were confused as to why they were getting tissues.
"I won't run from you anymore, so don't go," Karrie said. "I love you."
"I love you too," Keith replied.
"Hey Kiwi, can I get a puke bucket?" Garnet asked quietly and Kenny punched him in the arm.
"Don't ruin the moment, it's beautiful," Kenny replied.
"I'm going to kill you two, peanut gallery," Kellyn commented quietly. Keith leaned in and softly pressed his lips against Karrie's. Karrie returned the kiss and Kate held on to Kellyn's uninjured hand as she tried to contain herself. She was so happy that she was able to witness such a beautiful romantic scene between two of her best friends. Kellyn softly kissed Kate's cheek as Garnet and Kenny turned away and focused their attention on covering Kiwi's eyes while Keith and Karrie were kissing.
"Can you feel the love tonight?~" Gold sang and Crystal whacked him in the back of the head causing Yellow to laugh a little.
"You sound like a dying whale," Crystal said and Red laughed.
"Don't be so mean!" Gold protested as he pouted. "I have a beautiful voice and you know it!" Rebecca coughed and tried to hide her smile.
"Karrie, why don't you show Kate and Keith around?" Rebecca asked. "Kellyn, do you need crutches or a wheel chair?"
"No, I'm good," Kellyn replied as he waved his hand. Icy wind appeared and Karrie used Keith as a wind barrier out of fear. Kellyn made himself a wheelchair made out of ice. He carefully got into said wheel chair and gave Kate a thumbs up.
"Wow! Amazing!" Kate exclaimed and Kellyn blushed.
"Gold, Red, go get food," Rebecca said.
"Why us?" Gold asked.
"Because you two are the least injured of the guys in the room," Kenny replied with arm in a sling.
"And I'm a little stuck," Garnet added as he lifted his leg to show that his foot was in a cast since he broke it in the fight.
"It's amazing that Kellyn got the most injured while Garnet was the one who took the most damage in the fight," Rebecca commented after sighing.
"Well, he does have to deal with my daredevil of a sister constantly," Crystal replied while sweat dropping.
"So, where do you guys want to start?" Karrie asked.
"What about Rhyth and Isaac?" Kate asked.
"I was planning on giving them a proper explanation," Rebecca replied. "Isaac passed out from shock of the time travel and teleportation, Rhythmi's been by his side since then, after Kiwi woke up anyways."
"I'll go with Red and Gold, not sure how much I trust their cooking abilities," Crystal said.
"Hey! I happen to not be a bad cook!" Gold exclaimed.
"Says the one who can't make anything more complicated than a sandwich and maybe noodles," Karrie commented and Gold blushed.
"Still better than Red's cooking abilities," Kenny said and Garnet sighed.
"Yeah, definitely inherited most of the cooking skills out the lot," Garnet said. "The only person I know of who cooks worst than Red is Topaz."
"That's for sure," Crystal replied as she nodded.
"Kate's been on the first and second floor before," Kellyn said as he started to roll out the room.
"I always knew there was more to this giant house than two floors," Kate commented.
"How many floors are there?" Keith asked and Karrie stopped and thought about it. "If there's like forty-three of them, then there better be an elevator."
"No, there's the basement, this floor, second floor, third floor, fourth, and fifth," Karrie replied. "Not counting the room thing that's on the ocean floor and the roof top."
"Or the occasional sky floor, still have no clue how that one works," Kellyn added.
"That's surprisingly smaller than what I was expecting based on the last Hajime residence I visited." Keith replied.
"You try having a dojo, home, and a bit of a resort in the same area," Kenny said. "And being the youngest boy in the immediate family!"
"We're not that bad, you're just upset that Kyoterru went and got married so that he's rarely home," Lyra replied. "You try to spend most of your time at school and preparing for contests than spend time with the family anyways."
"So the dojo was owned by Lyra's and Kenny's part of the family?" Keith asked and Karrie nodded.
"Yeah, but Red's, Garnet's, and Gold's parents own dojos too," Karrie replied. "So should we start with the bottom?"
"Alright, fish bowl, here we go," Kellyn said as he rolled down the hallway. "Keith, you're in luck, this house has elevators."
"H-hey! Don't poke fun at me!" Keith replied as he ran after Kellyn. Kate and Karrie looked at each other and smiled before running after the boys.
"To think we just were dress shopping earlier," Kate commented as they piled into the elevator and went down to the ocean floor. Karrie's face darkened. "What is it?"
"M-my dress," Karrie replied.
"Huh? What about it?" Keith asked.
"Did we forget to grab it before Lyra did her thing?" Kellyn asked.
"Yes, but I don't think that would have made a difference," Karrie replied. "It was, um, kind of flew into the ocean."
"Which means mom won that round," Kellyn commented.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Kate asked.
"I'm going to have to wear whatever Mom wants," Karrie replied.
"It could still be in tact," Keith said in order to comfort his girlfriend.
"In tact or not, no way Mom will let Karrie settle for that dress, not after seeing Kate so happy when she found the right dress," Kellyn replied.
"Ah! It's so pretty!" Kate exclaimed as she watched the pokemon of the sea swim around the glass. They then entered a glass room. "This is amazing!"
"Beautiful," Keith commented in awe of the beauty of the sea.
"This is Mom's study room," Kellyn explained. "She is an avid researcher of the sea, though nowadays she spends more time schooling us than doing what she originally set out to do."
"I can't believe something like this has been hidden from me right beneath my nose all this time!" Kate exclaimed as she pressed her face against the glass. Keith ran around the room in attempt to see what he could spook while Karrie leaned on her brother, purposefully digging her elbows into his shoulders.
"I believe this was one of the places you wrote about in your box, that you wanted to show Kate," Karrie said. "You're welcome."
"How did you know about that?" Kellyn asked while blushing, embarrassed that his sister had read through his stuff. It also suggested that there was more to the letter than that.
"I've been setting pranks on you, causing trouble, and breaking into that box of yours since elementary school," Karrie replied, as if it was obvious.
"Did you read anymore of that letter, besides wanting to show Kate this place?" Kellyn asked nervously.
"Yeah, but I couldn't understand the rest of it," Karrie replied and Kellyn sighed as he was relieved. "I think it was around one of the times you were back from middle school or something like that."
"Does any of it makes sense to you now?" Kellyn asked out of curiosity.
"Nope," Karrie replied. "I tried asking Mom about stuff I found in your box. She scolded me, told me that it was the equivalent of keeping a diary or a journal, that it was an invasion of privacy, and then she became more brutal in the lady and social etiquette training. Oh, she increased all my academic work too."
"Some box," Keith commented.
"That would explain why you're so ahead in learning in school," Kate commented.
"Yeah, so I guess the two main reasons why I'm such a genius is my mother and Kellyn," Karrie said. "Telepathy thing helps too."
"How so?" Kate asked.
"You have to be careful when attempting this, but most of us use Red's and Gold's heads to solve stuff and store information," Kellyn replied. "We also have used a bit of Meiko's, Sapphire's, May's, and Jimmy's."
"It's like have a mental chalkboard, especially in Gold's case!" Karrie exclaimed while smiling.
"Some of us use Karrie as a calculator too," Kellyn said and Karrie hit him in the head.
"No, that's pretty much just you," Karrie replied. Kellyn held his head and grimaced in pain.
"That hurt," Kellyn mumbled.
"Ah! Sharpedo! I remember you!" Kate exclaimed as she recognized one of her old pokemon friends.
"Holy wailord!" Keith exclaimed as a wailord smiled as it slightly pressed it's face to the glass like Keith had been doing. He took a step back as a red gyrados wrapped around part of the dome.
"It's Rosie and Wallie!" Karrie exclaimed.
"Must have known we were in here," Kellyn commented with a smile.
"You know them?" Keith asked and the two Hajimes nodded.
"Haven't seen those two in forever!" Kate exclaimed as she noticed the two large intimidating pokemon.
"Non-Summerland-native here," Keith said.
"Oh right," Kellyn replied. "Those two are my mother's pokemon. The gyrados is named Rosie and the wailord is Wallie. They help out the rangers and sailors around here."
"They bring over injured pokemon and sometimes people here too," Karrie added. "They're the most gentle pokemon I know."
"Wailord I get, but the gyrados? Not so much," Keith replied as he sweat dropped.
"Floatzel," a voice said and they turned and looked to find a floatzel coming out of the elevator.
"Another one of your mother's?" Keith asked and Karrie nodded. "I'm getting good at this thing." The floatzel then started to talk rapidly like it was trying to scold Kellyn and Karrie.
"Sorry we made you worry," Kellyn said.
"I think floatzel would make a great mother, especially if her children were anything like your family," Keith commented and floatzel blushed before beaming a smile proudly.
"You're going to be a mother soon?" Kate exclaimed. "Congratulations!"
"I feel bad for her children," Karrie commented as she relaxed her shoulders and stretched. Floatzel yelled something at her and Karrie immediately stood up straight. "It's like I have two mothers here."
"Have they hatched yet?" Kellyn asked and floatzel shook her head. "Can you show us?" Floatzel looked warily at Keith and Karrie.
"Hey! I can be trusted with eggs! I hatched one already in school!" Karrie exclaimed.
"I helped!" Keith added. Floatzel sighed and then bid them to follow. Floatzel led them to basement where it was a water pokemon's paradise. "It's like a mega pool resort down here."
"Your mother really does take a lot of care and thought into her designs," Kate commented as she looked around. Floatzel brought them over to a little opening that was protected by bushes. They entered and saw Gold with Crystal already there. Floatzel used water gun to keep Gold from touching her eggs.
"Just because I pull pranks doesn't mean I break pokemon eggs!" Gold exclaimed. "Hatching eggs is my main job!"
"These are so cool!" Keith exclaimed as carefully rubbed an egg. The floatzel barked at Keith while Gold touched and examined some of the eggs. Keith stopped and backed up in order to prevent the mother-to-be from getting too mad at him.
"I wish I could have seen this place sooner!" Kate exclaimed. "I feel like I could stay here on this floor for months."
"You probably could," Karrie replied.
"Sorry, most of the house is off limits for most people," Kellyn replied.
"It's alright," Kate said as she smiled at Kellyn. "With a family secret like yours, it makes sense that there are things that you couldn't share with me before."
"Kate, just remember that you can go to any of us for help," Gold said. "The elderly members of the family are a bit strict and really like tradition, but even they will accept you as family despite you not being married to a Hajime."
"If you want to know more about Tamers or even tips on how to deal with a Legendary Protector, then don't be afraid to give me, Yellow, or our siblings a call," Crystal said with a smile. "That includes you too Keith. I got both of your contact information already and you should receive our contact information soon."
"I can't believe that we've been encountering quite a few Tamers lately," Karrie commented and everyone looked at him. "Keep it on the down low, but Summer is a Tamer too." Gold nodded as he almost forgot about it. "How did cooking go?"
"Pretty well, but Rhythmi and Kiwi ended up taking over." Gold replied. "Auntie Becky sent us down to check on the eggs."
"How did I miss Summer being a Tamer?" Kellyn asked.
"You weren't there when she saved us from exposing the secret to random school students," Karrie replied. "Now that I think of it, she stopped a stampeding herd of rhyhorn and whatnot without collasping afterwards."
"Must come from one of the strongest lines then," Crystal commented. "Ashleigh and Yellow would be able to tell you more." Some of the eggs began to glow and baby buizels appeared.
"So adorable," Kate commented.
"Any of them managed to get part of Gold's personality?" Crystal asked as she looked at them all carefully. One buizel had gold eyes and almost immediately started to poke Gold in search for his billard stick. "There's always at least one who takes on similarities to that clown." Another buizel that stood out was one who had longer hair on its head giving it a hairstyle look similar to Red's, Kellyn's, and Gold's. It sniffed around and found a cookie in Keith's pocket.
"You had food?" Karrie asked in feign shock.
"I forgot," Keith replied as the buizel snacked on the cookie. As soon as it was done, the buizel started poking its siblings, picking fights, and pulling pranks.
"Did it get that from Gold or Keith?" Kellyn asked as the buizel smirked at him before flashing a toothy smile at Karrie.
"Keith, I'd recognize that smug smirk and goofy grin just about anywhere," Karrie replied and Keith blushed.
"Do I stand out that much?" Keith asked.
"Dude, you have red hair, you were born to stand out," Gold replied as the golden eyed buizel decided to settle for just playing games on one of the devices Gold had in his pockets. Floatzel glared at the two boys before trying to get the two buizels to behave like she wanted them to.
"I guess that's our cue to move on," Kate commented and they stood up. Keith turned to walk away when the mischievous bad boy buizel suddenly clung to his leg. "I wonder if this one was in the egg Keith touched.
"What are the chances of that?" Keith asked as Floatzel tried to pry her child off of Keith. "Hey dude, if it's meant to be, we'll meet again. I'm going to become a Pokemon Ranger and so I'm going to need a Partner Pokemon. If fate wills it, then maybe we'll become partners and lifelong friends in the future." The buizel frowned, but loosened it's grip just enough that its mother was able to free Keith from its grasp. Buizel made Keith pinky promise before the humans went on their way.
"So food, bedrooms, then more floors?" Kate asked.
"Pretty much," Gold replied before stepping out of the way of an incoming brown blur. Keith and Karrie were hit by the incoming blur.
"Someone get the license plate on that thing," Keith said after groaning.
"What was that?" Karrie asked.
"Moon?" Kellyn asked.
"Wait a minute, why are you here?" Kate asked as the so called brown blur sat up revealing the young Hajime Blue-look-a-like.
"I got lost," Moon replied with a shrug.
"I thought Lyra sent us back in time so we could properly recover," Gold commented.
"Aren't you supposed to be at the dojo?" Karrie asked.
"Did we just create a flippin' paradox?" Keith asked.
"I was at the dojo, but then I went for a walk in the woods and somehow ended up here," Moon replied as she looked around. "Don't ask me how I got from the woods in Johto to here in Fiorre, I don't really know myself."
"I know your skilled at getting lost, but I think this takes the cake," Karrie commented.
"Maybe," Moon replied while smiling awkwardly and sweat dropping.
"Does it have something to do with Manaphy?" Kellyn asked and it seemed as though a light bulb went off in Moon's head.
"I think so, I was hearing some voices of the seas which is probably how I got so lost," Moon replied. "Right, Manaphy's voice guided me to Fiorre. I guess that means Phione's choice is in Fiorre right now and it's only a matter of time before Phione's Legendary Protector appears and gains his or her powers."
"Any other clues?" Kellyn asked.
"Um, optimistic, kind hearted, fun loving, and I think something having to do with a bird," Moon replied. Kellyn immediately thought of Ben, but he was skeptical about it. Moon closed her eyes and thought hard. "Goofy and friends with ice, or something to do with ice. That's about all I can remember right now." Kellyn nodded.
"Sounds like Ben." Kate commented and Kellyn nodded in agreement.
"Benjamin Natsuya, a friend of mine seems to fit the description, goes to my school," Kellyn told Moon and she nodded.
"Thanks," Moon said. "Um, do you think someone here will be able to help me get back to the dojo?"
"Lyra might," Crystal replied as everyone else tried not to laugh.
"What about me?" Lyra asked as she popped her head into the hall. "Eat up if your hungry. Do I want to know how Moon got here?" Keith and Karrie raced Gold to the dining room while the others shrugged in response to Lyra's last question. How Moon was able to get so lost so easily would forever remain one of the biggest mysteries of the universe.
Later they explored the bedrooms as Lyra helped Moon find her way. Keith decided to try to open the first door he saw and try to guess to whom it belonged to. The first one was easy for everyone as the pink walls were a dead give away. It was Kiwi's room. It was moderately cleaned and had a white princess canopy bed, dressers, tea party set up, a doll house, and a bunch of stuff pokemon dolls.
"If this isn't Kiwi's room, then I'm going to question if Kellyn's really straight," Keith commented. Kellyn glared at him.
"Why would your second guess for this room be Kellyn's?" Kate asked and Keith first pointed a lacy pink dress laying on a chair before gesturing towards the walls.
"Because I know Karrie well enough to know that she would never wear one of those willingly and she would find having to stay in a room with pink walls torturous," Keith replied.
"Fair enough," Kate commented.
"Fair enough? He questioned my preferences!" Kellyn protested.
"I know your preferences and that's all that matters," Kate replied. Kellyn crossed his arms, frowned, and looked away as he blushed.
"Okay, next room," Keith said as he pointed out the door. The next room was tricky because the door had to be forced opened. There were clothes, boxes, a punching bag, a computer that was obviously used mainly for games, a loft bed with a desk underneath, and evidence of a closet. "I'm going to take a guess and say this is Kar-" He took a step and set off a trap that dumped water on his head. "rrie's."
"Sorry, I forgot that I put together pranks to set off if Kellyn ever went into my room," Karrie said as she walked over to Keith.
"Uh, Karrie," Kate said as she and Kellyn noticed she was about to set off her own prank. She set something off that made a nerf gun fire several shots though Karrie seemed more embarrassed that she had forgotten she had set it up than anything else.
"That used to get me everytime," Kellyn mumbled and Kate tried not to laugh. "Keith, you might be able to fit in some of my clothes that I have here." Keith nodded and they went to Kellyn's room. The floor was almost spotless and there were bookshelves lined perfectly with books, newspapers, and collectibles. Kellyn had a normal bed though for a teenager it looked too neat and crisp.
"OCD brother," Karrie mumbled as she rolled her eyes.
"At least I can see my floor," Kellyn countered.
"I can see some of my floor," Karrie replied as she glared at him.
"I think I liked Karrie's better, this feels too clean," Keith said as he shuddered.
"Of course you would," Kate replied as she rolled her eyes. "Being neat has its advantages, you know."
"Karrie, can you-?" Kellyn started to asked only to be waved off by his sister.
"Yeah, yeah, second drawer from the top right for t-shirts and be careful not to mess up how they are folded," Karrie said as she started to go through his stuff. "Keith, if you need a towel, there should be some in the top left drawer." Keith nodded and walked over.
"Holy crap, I never thought a dresser could be this organized," Keith commented.
"Sad part is that he rarely changes where he puts things," Karrie replied. "I think he still keeps his underwear and pajamas in the second drawer on the top left." Keith checked the said drawer after grabbing himself a towel.
"Yep, you're right," Keith said.
"Would you two not go through my stuff?" Kellyn asked. Karrie shrugged as she handed Keith a t-shirt. She closed the drawers.
"Um, pants?" Keith asked and Kellyn gave him this look. "On second thought, I'll just settle with having a dry shirt and head." Kellyn nodded.
"What's on the next floor?" Kate asked.
"A library, Dad's office, and our classroom," Kellyn replied and they left to explore. The library was huge and Kellyn explained that the entrance to their father's office was hidden in the library. The classroom had a teacher's desk, a chalk board, projector, computers, three student desks, sewing machines, books, and a cooking area. The next floor was half an art studio and half a small gym.
"Do we have to go on the next floor?" Karrie asked.
"I want to check it out," Kate replied.
"Why?" Keith asked as he wondered why there could be part of the house that Karrie really didn't like going into.
"Oh come on, you big baby, we said we'd give them a tour of the whole house," Kellyn said and Karrie pouted. Once they got to the last floor, Keith realized why Karrie was against coming up here. It was absolutely freezing.
"Welcome to Kellyn's paradise and my hell," Karrie said as she watched the three of them exit the elevator.
"You're not coming in?" Kate asked as she put her hand out to catch snow that was falling down.
"It's like being in a real life snow globe," Keith commented as he looked around.
"She doesn't do cold very well," Kellyn said.
"Karrie, do you want to build a snowman?" Keith sang.
"If I do, then I'll be in deep deep snow," Karrie sang back. "So no, not while dressed like this." Karrie was wearing pretty much the same outfit she was wearing before, meaning she wasn't bundled up in a bunch of layers like a marshmellow man.
"Why a floor just for Kellyn?" Kate asked.
"He's someone who needs the cold, this is kind of like a zen garden for him," Karrie replied.
"Mostly because I can have the comfort mentally that Karrie would never come in here of her own accord so it's also like a safe zone," Kellyn added.
"Next floor is?" Keith asked as he rubbed his arms. He was one of those people who always threw off a lot of heat, but he would be lying if he said that this floor wasn't a little chilly.
"The roof," Karrie replied. "One of my favorite places since sometimes we get visits up there from legendary pokemon." Keith gave her one of his signature smiles which made her blush a little. On the roof, they were greeted by Latios and Latias, both were friendly familiar faces Keith and Kate were happy to see. They hadn't crossed paths since Keith and Karrie won the egg that hatched into an emolga. They went back down to the bedrooms where Rebecca was waiting for them with Rhythmi and Isaac.
"So where are we spending the night?" Isaac asked.
"Kiwi's and Kellyn's rooms are clean and we do have two guest bedrooms, but I'm think of sticking some of our injured Hajimes and their friends in them." Rebecca replied.
"What about Karrie's room?" Rhythmi asked.
"It's a disaster," Kate replied.
"Karrie needs to clean her room," Rebecca said and Karrie gulped nervously.
"Girls can sleep in my room," Kiwi said as she popped up next to her mother. "I think Lyra is staying with me." Karrie turned around and walked to her room to start cleaning. Apparently her mother sent a mental message to immediately start cleaning. "If Karrie finishes, then Rhythmi and Kate can stay in there and I'll get Lyra, Crystal, and Yellow."
"Keith can stay with Kellyn and if Keith needs to borrow pajamas then you can borrow Kellyn's," Rebecca said and Kellyn made a face. "I'll wash them and make sure they're folded correctly before putting them away in the proper place, don't worry." A few sound explosions later and soon Karrie was done, with a huge pile of laundry for her mother to do.
"That was fast," Kellyn commented.
"She threatened to not feed me," Karrie mumbled and Kate laughed as the others desperately tried not to laugh and join Kate.
"While we stay here to wait out the injuries, no one must be seen outside the house." Rebecca said. "No creating paradoxes and please keep any time distortions to a minimum." Everyone agreed and she left to go do laundry.
"Where is the laundry room anyways?" Kate asked.
"There's one up on the fourth floor, I think," Karrie replied. "I've barely go to the laundry room."
They checked out Karrie's now clean room and stayed there until it was time to eat.

Me: I feel so bad, I realized that I started this chapter months ago and forgot that I never finished it until now DX I have had plenty of time to consider candidates for Tornadus. Speaking of which, Keith is now one of them.
