I don't own Harry Potter or Code Lyoko

A Space Oddity

"This is it! It's the end of the world," cried Odd as he ran into Harry's and dorm.

"What's wrong? Did they run out of spaghetti and meatballs in the lunch room?" asked Ulrich.

"Did Xana take over the world while we weren't looking?" asked Harry. "I don't see anything that bad happening."

"Almost as bad! I ran into Jim and Delmas in the corridor and they're making a surprise inspection of the dorm!"

"Didn't they do one a few weeks ago?" asked Aelita with a frown.

"They're doing one for fire hazards!"

"So?" asked Jeremy from the computer. "There aren't any appliances here. Not even an electric kettle."

"What do we do with Kiwi?!" Odd pointed at his dog. "He's not supposed to be here!"

"Do we have enough time to take him to the factory?" asked Aelita.

"I could head them off for a few minutes," offered Sissi.

"In ten minutes?" asked Jeremy as he looked at his watch.

"And I wouldn't want to leave him alone in that cold, dark factory anyway," said Odd as he started to pace. "He hasn't been himself lately. It's all over, he's going to end up at the pound, or worse, in some travelling circus strapped to a rocket and shot out of a cannon! Unless…Yumi, you don't have class for another hour, could you, uh…?"

"Don't even think about it!"

"Yumi, please? You're his only hope!" begged Odd.

"The answer is no!"

Sniggering, Harry turned back to his game.

Corridor

"Good old surprise inspections. They make even the cloudy days sunny. Look what we've already dug up. An electric kettle, an immersion heater and a twelve person fondue heater. It's like being a pioneer explorer. Let's see what we can come up with in Sissi's room. Though I doubt she'll be hiding anything suspicious." Jim pushed open Sissi's door as Delmas carried everything. He opened Sissi's wardrobe to reveal some pictures of Delmas and Sissi at a party as well as a blown up one of Harry. "Do you think Harry knows of this?"

"I have no idea."

Harry's and Jeremy's dorm

"Please help me save my poor defenceless dog." Odd continued to beg.

"Odd…"

"You will?"

"Odd! You know if there's one thing my father can't stand, it's pets that shed their hair all over the house, chew up furniture, do their business…!" yelled Yumi.

"Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty please!" Odd continued to beg.

"Ok Odd, you win this time."

"Oh thank you, Yumi! Nothing can stop me from kissing you!" Odd leapt up.

"Well I can!" Yumi placed her hand on Odd's mouth as she put Kiwi in her bag.

"Well, look who it is. Della Robbia, Stones, Stern, Stern, Belpois, Delmas and Ishiyama. They don't look like they're hiding anything," said Jim as Sirius randomly started to paint the ceiling bright pink. "Or in a big hurry to get to class."

Grinning, Sirius swapped the items with a massive bucked of paint which went all over Delmas.

"What the! Black!"

"I didn't do anything," said Sirius innocently despite the evidence. "How could I have swapped the items in your hand with a bucket of paint without you noticing?"

Harry groaned as they left. "Sirius, you have to be more careful."

Sirius winked.

Yumi

Yumi remembered the instructions Odd gave her.

"Ok, the coast is clear." Kiwi jumped out of the bag and started to bark. "Shh! If my dumb brother hears you, he's bound to say something like "what's that ugly mutt doing here?""

"Hey, what's that ugly mutt doing here?" asked Hiroki as he poked his head in.

"It's Kiwi, Odd's dog," explained Yumi. "Hiroki, promise you won't say anything!"

"…ok, but promise you'll do my homework for a year!"

"A day!"

"A week!"

"Three days!"

"A deal."

"You're such a little crook, but I don't have a choice, I have to go to school. Look after Kiwi 'til I get back, ok?"

"Huh?"

"Oh, and-and don't give him any steamed vegetables, it seems he can only eat chips and mustard, got that?" asked Yumi as she left, ignoring the fact that the instructions that she'd given Hiroki were the opposite of what Odd had told her. And she forgot to mention that Kiwi didn't like Hoovers.

"Don't worry about a thing, uh, Leechie, I'll take good care of you!"

Kadic

"There you are Yumi!" Odd ran over to her as the bell rang. "How's Kiwi?"

"No sweat, Hiroki's watching him," said Yumi as she took a sip of her drink as she leaned against the wall.

"Hiroki?! Are you nuts? Did you forget what happened to poor Jean-Pierre?" asked Odd in disbelief. "He got destroyed."

"Jean-Pierre? My dad?" asked Sissi in confusion.

"Your Tamagotchi? Sad, we're still in mourning," said Ulrich sarcastically. Sissi made a noise of understanding. Everyone laughed as Odd called someone. "What are you doing now?"

"Sorry, we've already got encyclopaedia!" said Hiroki.

"Wait a second, don't hang up, Hiroki! This is Odd," said Odd quickly.

"Don't worry, everything is cool! Your dog is in good hands! See ya!" Hiroki ended the call and looked at Kiwi who barked as Hiroki picked up a bag of chips. "I know what you want. You want more of these. This time, they have mustard!"

"Nice to know you trust me Odd," said Yumi as Jeremy pulled out his laptop.

"You don't understand! Kiwi happens to be a very sensitive dog!"

The four looked over as Jeremy's laptop beeped.

"Guess what! The Supercomputer has just picked up a new Replika on the network!"

"Rats, now I've gotta come up with a new excuse to get out of Chardin's class again," moaned Yumi.

"Yeah it's not like you can tell him that you're saving the world," agreed Harry.

"You won't be missing much, 'cept a little nap!" exclaimed Odd.

"I've got to stop by the library but I won't be long," said Aelita as Jeremy snapped his laptop shut.

"Well, you know where to meet up."

Lab

"I don't have to remind you that the more replikas we destroy, the more we weaken Xana," said Jeremy as he transferred everyone to Lyoko.

"Of course you don't Einstein. And if we find the supercomputer, we might find something on helping us to free William," called Odd as he waited for the scanners to free up.

"And once we defeat Xana, we can go back to a normal life," added Sissi. "That's what I want."

"And something I never will have again," muttered Harry. Sissi hugged him.

Lyoko

"Everyone ok?" asked Jeremy as Odd, Sissi and Harry landed.

"I'm fine but I'm not so sure about Kiwi," moaned Odd.

"Chill out, Odd! He couldn't be in better hands!" exclaimed an annoyed Yumi.

"And you'll see him after the inspection," added Harry.

Yumi's house

Kiwi had his head buried in a packet. He ran into a chair, whimpered, tried to get the packet off and ran in a circle.

"A little patience Leechie. I'll play with you as soon as I finish my game," said Hiroki as Kiwi ran past him as he knocked into furniture.

Digital sea

"What do you think it's going to be this time around?" asked Aelita.

"I have no idea!"

"It might be a Replika of the Ice Sector," suggested Yumi.

"No way. Not the freezing wasteland. I reckon it would be sector five," said Harry. "Xana likes to keep us out after all."

"My guess is Mountain. What do you think, Odd?" asked Ulrich.

"I think I should've fed him more tofu kibbles!"

"Stay focused, Odd!" reprimanded Jeremy.

"Yeah, we never know what we'll find out here," said Sissi as she looked out the window.

Yumi's house

Hiroki stroked Kiwi. "Poor Leechie. Those chips didn't agree with you. What do you say to play ball?"

Kiwi barked.

Network

"Replika in sight Jeremy."

"Ok. I'll unlock it as soon as you connect."

They unlocked and flew in.

"What do you know, Harry was right. Welcome to a Replika of Sector 5!"

"And I guess it would have a key to hit," muttered Harry.

"I've just spotted a tower that can be reached. I'll guide you in."

Looking around, Harry raised an eyebrow. "I give Xana credit for faithful reproductions."

Aelita connected to the tower as Harry landed and jumped out.

"Yumi, Odd? Do you want to volunteer?" asked Jeremy.

"I would like to go," added Sissi.

"Uh, sure."

"Aye aye, captain Einstein!"

"Would you give the bad jokes a rest, private?" asked Jeremy. "Ulrich, Harry and Aelita, you three-"

"We stay here and guard the Skid," interrupted Ulrich.

"You guessed it. I'm activating the tower for our own purposes."

The tower glowed green and the three disappeared.

"Odd, Yumi, Sissi, do you read me? Odd! Yumi! Sissi! The principal is going to kill me!"

"We read you loud and clear, Jeremy!" called Yumi.

"That's great! Well which continent did you land on this time?" asked Jeremy.

"None of them!" replied Odd.

"What?! You mean you're in the ocean?!" asked Jeremy.

"No for two, but we are floating!"

"Outer space? You guys are in outer space?!" asked Jeremy in surprise.

"That's more like it! I knew you'd figure it out."

"Amazing."

"Hey, look at this." Yumi peered out a nearby window.

"It's unbelievable."

"It's so beautiful." Sissi stared at the planet.

"And it seems so fragile."

"Kiwi gets sick even though I feed him healthy food. I'm beginning to think there's something wrong with him."

"Odd! You're looking at the most beautiful sight you're ever going to see, and all you can think about are your stupid cans of dog food?!" asked an annoyed Yumi.

"It's starting to get on my nerves," added Sissi. "I'm sure Kiwi' s fine."

"Kibbles! I never give Kiwi canned dog food!"

"According to your co-ordinates, it looks like you guys are on the brand new international space station, four hundred kilometres above the Earth!" informed Jeremy.

"We can meet some astronauts and get their autographs," suggested Odd.

"I wouldn't bet on that. The station is uninhabited. The team is coming in ten days."

"Good, that'll give us time to find the Supercomputer and destroy it!"

"I'd be on your guard. You never know what Xana is up to."

The three floated down the corridor.

"This is really odd," commented Sissi. "It's so weird to be floating and weightless."

"I think you'll get used to it," replied Yumi.

Yumi's house

Kiwi caught the ball.

"Good dog!" Hiroki heard the car's doors. "Oh no."

Hiroki grabbed Kiwi and put him in his room before tidying up.

"What's the meaning of this?"

"Don't get stressed! I'll tidy it!"

Space station

Odd opened the door

"Jeremy, there's a line of little metallic spheres here, like mini Megatanks!" called Yumi.

"You think Xana's manufacturing those things?" asked Odd.

"I have no idea. Anyway, they look harmless enough."

"I wouldn't count on that," said Sissi.

"Forget about them. Find the supercomputer."

Odd reached out for one.

"No Odd, don't touch it, you never know!" Yumi grabbed Odd's hands.

Replika

"It's weird. Xana would have sent us some company by now," said Ulrich.

"I know he wouldn't miss a chance to get into my head," said Harry with a frown. "Huh?"

The energy flow between the Skid and the tower started to act up.

"Jeremy, we have a big problem," called Aelita.

"I see it. Xana's doing all he can to wipe out the Skid."

"If you have a solution, I'm all ears," said Ulrich nervously.

"If the replika is an exact copy, it should function like on Lyoko. I've got it. You have to activate a key. It's directly across from you. Do I have a volunteer?"

"Me!" Ulrich ran away before anyone else had chance to offer.

Space station

"Jeremy, I think we just found the Supercomputer!" called Yumi as they floated into a room.

"Perfect timing because Xana's trying to wipe out the Skid. Better take out the Supercomputer now. Be careful though to make it look like an accident, the space station is too well-known, we don't want any rumours about sabotage."

"An accident? How do we do that?" asked Yumi.

"I hope your brother remembered to give Kiwi enough to drink," muttered Odd. Sissi slapped him. "Ow."

"We're facing disaster and all you can think about is your dog?!" asked Yumi.

"Water! Yeah, that's a good idea! We'll create some water damage, there's gotta be water flowing through one of these things!" Odd looked at the pipes.

"Nice going, Odd!"

They started examining the pipes as a screen showed the eye of Xana. Three metallic spheres floated towards them.

"I found it."

Sissi and Odd floated over to her.

"We have company." Sissi fired at one of the balls. It got a scorch mark and floated back a bit but nothing else happened. They floated out and shut the door. The spheres impaled themselves in the door.

Replica

Ulrich ran from underneath the pillars just in time.

"Nice one Ulrich."

Ulrich continued.

Yumi's house

Kiwi barked as Hiroki ran the Hoover around.

"That's strange. It sounds like a dog."

Hiroki turned the Hoover up. His dad turned it off and investigated Hiroki's room where the sound were coming from. Kiwi sat down in front of the three.

"Hiroki!" Hiroki looked sheepish and hid behind his mum.

Replica

"Left Ulrich."

The boy jumped backwards as a creeper fired at him.

"I transferred all the energy into the shields."

"Let's hope they hold up."

"I would think they would if it wasn't for pretty boy." William ran past Harry and sent an energy wave at the Skid.

"Does he ever give up?" wondered Aelita as she disembarked. Harry jumped onto William's back who tried to get him off. With little success.

"I wondered where you were."

"Oh be quiet William."

Space station

The spheres melted through the door.

"Xana's really having a ball. And lots of them," commented Odd.

"Stop with the bad jokes. Those things could reverse the teleportation. If that happens, Xana wins," reminded Yumi.

"And we need a plan," said Sissi.

Replica

William managed to pry Harry off his back causing Harry to rub his head where it hit the ground. The tip of William's sword forced his head up before pink light fizzled over him.

"Nice going you two."

"Yeah. I don't think William will let me get on his back again," said Harry as he stood and knocked William's sword out of his hand. Aelita put her foot on it.

Ulrich threw his sword and hit the creeper.

"Hurry up Ulrich. You're nearly there."

"And how do you suggest I get across this gap?" asked Ulrich. "Don't answer that."

He backed up and jumped. Pulling himself up, he dashed towards the key as the walls closed. Ulrich pressed it just as he devirtualised.

Space station

Odd opened the airlock. The vacuum threatened to drag the three outside. The balls had no chance.

"Do not do that again," moaned Sissi.

"It smells less like an astronaut's dirty socks in here."

Replika

William advanced on Aelita before using his sword to trip her up. The red ring disappeared.

Space station

The trio floated into the computer room. Odd used a hammer to open the pipe and water floated out.

"It's working. I'm going to bring you in."

The trio disappeared.

Replica

They reappeared in the Skid as William hit Aelita with super smoke.

"Oh no you don't." Harry charged him and tried to punch him. Chuckling, William dodged and grabbed Harry's hand.

"This isn't like you Harry. You don't normally get this worked up."

"Bad mood. Something to do with a certain someone attempting to kill one of my few family members left."

Odd hit William as the three disembarked.

"Leave our friends alone!" warned Yumi.

William charged them but got hit again. Deciding that retreat was best, he jumped off the ledge and into the digital sea. Harry checked on Aelita.

"I don't want to be a pain but I suggest you get out of there," said Jeremy. "It's about to go."

They flew out as the replika exploded.

"That's one less replika. Mission accomplished." Jeremy put the ear piece on the keyboard.

Yumi's house

Odd and Yumi walked to the house.

"Rats. My parents are home."

"Yeah. So?"

"I wouldn't like to be Kiwi right now."

They opened the door to find Yumi's dad using his feet to push Kiwi into the air.

"Hahahaha! Nice little doggie, you love playing with your uncle Takeho, don't you? Yeah! Hahahaha!" He saw Odd and Yumi. "Oh…back already?"

"Uh yes, Mr Ishiyama. I don't want my dog to be a bother to you, so uh…I'd like to take him home," said Odd.

"Oh really? Well if you like I could take care of him for…a week or so!" offered Yumi's dad.

"Thank you sir, but I missed him!" Odd stroked Kiwi as the dog ran over to him.

"I can understand that!"

"Just a minute, Odd! Here, take some sushi!" Yumi's mum offered it to him as the two left.

"Thank you ma'am, but…I'm not crazy about raw fish," Odd said carefully.

"But it's not for you, it's for Leechie! He loves it, especially when it's got lots of mustard on it!"

Odd smiled awkwardly.
