"Father..." Hanabusa whispered, staring at the dust that used to be his father in despair. He fell down to his knees and placed his palms against the sand. "...Why?" His voice was small and quivering and he he barely managed to see Amaya's trembling form move over to him. "...Why...?"
"H-He...I..." Amaya could hardly speak, she was too shocked to do anything, to be honest. It took all of her strange just to walk up the steps and over to Hanabusa's quivering form. "Hana...Hanabusa...N-Naga-Nagamichi...F-Father...I never called him father...I never called him father." She stated in realization, her legs giving out again, causing her to fall on the ground next to Hanabusa as her tears splattered against the concrete. "I never called him father...Wh-Why? K-Kaname...why? WHY!?" SHe demanded and pounded her fist against the concrete harshly, causing her knuckles to bleed. The flesh quickly healed though. "A-At least once...once I could've...I could've..." She whimpered. She barely registered Kaien pull out his sword and say,
"You three stay here, I'll go after Kaname."
'What brother did to Aidou-San...' Yuuki thought, mind still completely white. 'Was it murder?' She glanced up at the couple who were mourning and crying silently.
"Why, Kaname-Sama?" Aidou asked himself softly. "...Why..?"
'He killed him?' Yuuki wondered, horror filling her. She quickly whirled around and followed after her "father".
"I should have...stopped...this...I should've kn-known..." Amaya continued to whisper, so quietly, not even Hanabusa could hear her. If she just remembered, she could've stopped this. Nagamichi would still be here, alive, and acting almost as Goofy as his son and friend, Jack, Amaya's birth father. And Amaya...She never even called Nagamichi "Father" once...until his death scene. "I...come back..." She whimpered, pleading for Nagamichi to revive, some how. Like a magic spell.
She was hoping that something ridiculously wonderful would happen. Like, her Fairy Godmother would pop and wave her wand with a "Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo" and her Father-in-law would be alive again. They wouldn't be staring at sand, they wouldn't be moping here, begging that what they just saw was a farce. A lie. A trick of light. Anything that would bring him back to life.
"He...He's gone..." Hanabusa whispered, silent tears streaking down his face and the droplets splattering against the sand. "He can't...I don't believe...No...No!" He let out a distressed wail and collapsed completely against the ground. He laid on his side, in a moment of complete weakness, that he would never have shown anybody if something like this hadn't happened. "Why...Why'd he have to do it...? He-He didn't do anything wrong...Why?" Hanabusa was completely silent after that and after a few long moments, slowly sat up on his knees. He took a deep shaky breathe and glanced at his fiance, seeing if she, at the least, was alright.
She was shaking. Her shoulders and back were heaving heavily as she sobbed silently, hands clenching the dirt that was once her "Father". Her flame hair was a mess, wild and untamed like it used to be a year ago, and most of it stuck to her face, the hot wet tears making her hair all sticky. Her lips were trembling and her eyes were squeezed shut.
He was gone. He was really, really gone. He wasn't coming back. No magic trick can bring back the dead. It was impossible and completely unrealistic. Sure, there were Vampires, but they were real. Magic was not. Death is death, nothing can change that. And the thought hit the girl as hard as a rock to the back of the head. But it still didn't mean that she didn't want it all to be a lie.
Hanabusa stared at his fiance's trembling form for a few moments before moving over to her, placing a hand gently on her back. The girl tensed at his touch and flinched slightly, before she realized who it was. She quickly tackled Hanabusa and wrapped her arms around him, clutching his jacket tightly as she sobbed. Hanabusa calmly placed a hand on the girl's back and rubbed it comfortingly, the other hand being placed on the back of her head gently. The death of Nagamichi hit him just as hard, more so since he saw it with his own eyes-add to the fact that he watched Kaname, a man he was so loyal too, murder him. He was just taking it a different way than her. He was being silent, while she was crying uncontrollably.
The couple knew one thing for certain, the ride in the car was not going to be a fun one.

"What's wrong?" Kaien questioned the three Vampires, Pureblood and Aristocrat, seeing them stop walking. Amaya and Hanabusa were sticking close together the whole way, hands clasped tightly together. Hanabusa was silent, Amaya letting out a choked sob every now and then. "There's nothing to be afraid of, so come along."
"I don't have a containment seal." Yuuki explained calmly. "So I can't enter." Kaien cast her a sad glance and said,
"Don't worry, the handcuffs will keep you safe." They started to walk again and ignored all the whispers and stares they were getting. "Come on, this way." Kaien led them away and paused when Kaito and Zero came into view. Amaya glanced up dully, eyes empty of their usual bright and cheerfulness, and blankly looked eyes with Zero.
The lilac-eyed boy's eyes widened a fraction at the sight of her dull, Emerald Green eyes, that were once so full of life, were now empty of it. It was truly a sight he wished he never had to see. He watched as the dark-skinned red-head blink and close her eyes slowly, leaning against Hanabusa for comfort. His chest tightened and jealousy surged through him, along with a slightly dry throat, but he ignored it. He quickly passed the girl and Hanabusa, pausing only when Kaien asked,
"Zero, where do you think you're going!?" He turned and looked at the blonde, stating,
"I have to go on a hunt, it's urgent."

"Father, Mother!" Maria Kurenai shouted as she ran down the steps of her spiral staircase. The father smiled and asked,
"What is it, Maria?" His voice was smooth and was like silk. He had brown hair and lilac eyes, accompanied by the popular pale skin of a Pureblood. The mother, with her pale purple hair tied in a bun, place a hand on her cheek, smiling,
"It's great that you're so energetic but..." Her lilac eyes flashed with worry. Maria held a hand up to her chest, face filled with worry and urgency, and said,
"Sorry, but there's a rumor going around about some Aristocrats!" She explained, apologizing. "Kaname-Sama, the head of the Kuran family has gone missing!"

Yuuki opened the door to see Amaya and Hanabusa sitting on a bed glumly. Hanabusa was sitting up, legs dangling over the side of the bed, with Amaya lying down with her head on his lap, his right hand on her head. They were silent as lambs.
The brunette walked over and knelt down in front of the bed, looking up at them. "Aidou-Sempai, Amaya," Yuuki began softly, "It's okay for you both to go home. The truth is, I would have been fine coming here on my own. It's my responsibility. And I have to go ask him...I have to go ask Kaname why..." Why he killed Nagamichi. Even if it wasn't said, they all knew the end of that sentence. "So...wait here, just for a little bit, okay? I have some stuff do at his place."
Hanabusa gave her a sad, closed-eye smile and said, for the first time since Nagamichi's death, "I bet you do." His voice was small and quiet, but loud enough for everyone in the room to here. Yuuki was relieved that he finally decided to talk and continued, casting a small glance at the dull-eyed Amaya,
"And they promised they'd follow him, so-"
"Kaname-Sama put you in my care." Hanabusa began, cutting the girl off. His eyes glittered with tears as he continued, "So I'm not going away. Why did my father...accept me?" He looked down with closed eyes, his free hand clenching into a fist. Amaya finally acted and sat up, wrapping her arms around Hanabusa's neck and pulling him close to her, attempting to comfort him. Yuuki's eyes widened and she quickly turned around, racing off.
Hanabusa merely wrapped an arm around her waist as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.

"...It seems the nobles are blindly searching for Kaname-Sama, while his sister has decided to stay at the Association." Rima Tooya told her best friends, Senri Shiki and Aiko Tsukigomori. Rima was wearing a green plaid skirt and white shirt, along with a pair of fake, black thick rimmed glasses. She was holding up a soda and sitting down in a chair, legs crossed. "What do you two think?"
Shiki was wearing a black and white school uniform, with a chain around his neck. His mahogany hair was as messy as ever and his stormy blue eyes were as emotionless as always. "Aiko, Rima, look. It seems that something is going on with that model over there."
Aiko was wearing an outfit similar to Rima's, only without the glasses and her sleeves were rolled down instead of up. Aiko blinked and leaned over, looking at the model who was freaking out. What was her name again? Sakura Hayate? Think that's it...
"I'm telling you, it's true!" The dark haired model cried, hugging herself. "There was a man walking way behind me, and I closed my eyes for a second! When I opened them, he was right beside me! "Too bad your blood looks unappetizing" he told me!" The woman's voice was frantic. "I don't get it! It was scary!"
"Now, now.."
"Calm down... We still have shooting to do."
"Terrifying incidents have been popping up recently." Senri explained to the two girls. "Since the nobles who should be keeping an eye on things don't have time for it." Aiko sighed and crossed her arms. After a small incident of the Manager and "Fred the Camera Man" catching Senri helping Aiko braid her hair, she became a model. And as Fred put it, "With her lilac eyes, pale skin, and she usually has the same bored expression as you and Senri!" Fred's a strange one.
"That's ridiculous."
"But you can't blame them." Rima told the girl and Senri. "There's nothing more terrifying than Kaname-Sama to the Nobles. He killed the head of the Hanadagi family," She placed a hand to her chin in thought. ",and then Hanabusa's father, Amaya's father-in-law. His intentions are so unclear, it must be terrifying."
Aiko felt her chest tighten at the thought of the pain her friend must be in. Her father-in-law, her fiance's father, killed.
"The other Purebloods are just silently observing what's happening outside their domain." Rima finished. Aiko stated softly,
"It must be hard...for Yuuki."

"Maria. Maria." The purple-haired girl opened her door, tired of her father knocking repeatedly.
"What is it, Father?" She questioned curiously.
"I heard a person called Yuuki-San was in the Academy's Day Class. What was she like? You've met her before right?" The father was frantic, a worried look plastered onto his face. "And Amaya-San? What where they like!?"
"What were they like...?" Maria wondered thoughtfully, placing her index finger on her bottom lip in thought. "Well, they're both people who are easy to talk too. Even if they're a little hard-headed and they always hung out with Hanabusa Aidou and a boy from one of the Hunter families. Why do you ask?" She questioned curiously, a smile on her face as she looked at her father.
"At any rate, look here." He held up a letter and held it out to Maria. "We've received a letter from Yuuki-San and Amaya-san, Yuuki-san as the current head of the Kuran family, through the Association!"
"Darling!" Maria's mother shouted as she ran up the steps. She caught sight of Maria and gasped. "Oh my! Maria!" She placed a hand to the sides of her face and stated, "We have guests!" Maria and her father turned and Maria gasped when she saw a long haired brunette, accompanied by a red-head with newly-cut bangs. Maria's eyes widened at the two familiar figures.
"What's up, Maria?" Yuuki asked, grinning as she waved. "Been a while, huh? You still remember us?" Amaya looked horrible from what Maria could see. Her new hair cut wasn't so bad, but her eyes...They were almost completely lifeless.
"I hope so. Been a long time." Amaya muttered quietly before attempting to smile up at Maria.

"Okay, everyone!" Their manager called out. "Good work!" Rima sighed, wearing a puffy red dress, from her spot on the red couch. Aiko sat next to her in a purple dress that stopped at her knees, while Senri was standing behind the couch, wearing a black tuxedo. "It's great that we made it through all right!"
The trio stood up and took notice of the two girls that were standing by the door. "Rima, Aiko, there's people over there."
"Yes, I can see that." Rima stated annoyed.
"Obviously." Aiko replied monotone, sarcasm leaking off her tongue. There was a red-head with really short hair and bangs that were cut across her forehead. Her skin was rather dark, and she had emerald green eyes that looked slightly lifeless, but still held that lively look that usually did. She also wore a black hoodie with a green shirt and black denim jeans that were ripped at the knees. The other girl had unusually long dark brown hair and wine-red eyes, pale skin, and wore a light brown trench coat with black stockings and brown boots.
Aiko stared at the two girls' alarmed.
'I...We are about to do something Zero won't like.' Amaya thought regrettably. She was already regretting her decision about heading out with Yuuki and leaving Hanabusa with the Association; She felt lonely without him. For the whole year, they were constantly by each other's side, not leaving the other except for short periods of time.

Yagari slammed the door open to the Chairman's Office, Yuuki and Amaya beside him. "Oi!" He shouted, alerting everyone of their presence. "You gotta a minute!?" He asked Kaien Cross, the Chairman. Amaya looked up slightly and tensed, seeing Zero standing there and quickly adverted her gaze.
"It's fine. What is it Yuuki, Amaya?" Kaien questioned from behind his desk. Yagari walked away and the two girls' walked over to Kaien's desk, passing Zero.
"Yes. We have a request for you Chairman." Yuuki told him.
"What is it?" Kaien questioned. Meanwhile, with Zero...
Zero opened the door to the room that Hanabusa and Amaya were currently staying in, Hanabusa being the only one in there at the moment. And speaking of the blonde, he was sitting on the floor, back resting against the bed with the sheets sliding off of it. He just continued to stare at the ground, lifeless. When he spoke, it was soft.
"What did you come here for?" Hanabusa questioned, not looking up at Zero, but knowing who it was by scent. He still wasn't over his father's death, but neither was Amaya, but he managed to convince her to leave with Yuuki, and he regretted it big time. He missed her presence; it made the death of his father easier to take in.
"...Nothing really." Zero told him, bangs covering his eyes like they usually do. "I just came to tell you something. The one you're supposed to be keeping an eye on keeps stirring up trouble. If you'd rather leave it as it is, that's fine too. But if you're concerned, go ask the Chairman, her, or her friend for details. That's all."He made to close the door and leave, but Hanabusa spoke up again, voice louder this time.
"You...You actually came to see how I'm doing right?" He asked and closed his eyes. "If I'm tormented by hatred for Kaname-Sama and his sister too..." He sighed and took a deep breathe, tucking his knees to his chest and wrapping his arms around them, head resting in his arms. "No way...I definitely won't become like that." He raised his arms up and gripped his pants legs. "I won't become like you." He grip his hair tightly, hands on his face, "...No matter how hard it is right now..." His face was full of conflict. He wanted to hate Kaname with his entire being for killing his father, but he also didn't want to become a monster who could only hate. Kaname had to have had his reasons...Despite how harsh they are-Hanabusa cursed. "Damn it!" He placed a hand on the left side of his face. "I'm thinking nothing but bad things... Damn it!"
Zero was silent.

"What's this?" A Vampire asked in alarm.
"You can't be serious!?" Another exclaimed.
"I am. We both want to restart the Night Class." Yuuki told them. "I want to protect the agreement between the Association and my brother, but there is a limit to what I can do with just Amaya and myself..." She gained a saddened look and Amaya gave her a glance, but couldn't help the slight rage that grew at the thought of Kaname. She took a deep breathe and clenched and unclenched her fists repeatedly, trying to calm herself.
'1...2...3...' She counted in her mind, but found it ridiculous. Why on earth would counting help you calm? She'll never know.
"You shouldn't be asking us Nobles for permission." An Aristocrat told Yuuki. "You can do what you like with your Pureblood power."
"The Night Class should be established through cooperation." Amaya spoke up, loud and clear. "We want comrades who will help protect the treaty with Yuuki there." Yuuki nodded in agreement.
"Amaya's right. If the Night Class is established through cooperation, we will surely find those comrades." She told them. "I also want to get along with both you all and humans."
"What do you intend to do about Kaname-Sama?" A man with curly black hair and a mustache asked. "Hanadagi-Sama and Lord Aidou..." Amaya flinched at the name and bit her lip. "We can't possibly deny the fact that Kaname-Sama will end up as our foe. And yet, your discussing the Night Class instead of the Issue of Kaname-Sama?" The man continued to question. "With all due respect, there isn't a single person who wishes to collaborate with you other than that red-head, is there?"
Senri, Rima, and Aiko decided to take that as their cue to walk up and say,
"That's not the case." Senri. 'We'll collaborate."
"We understand what they're talking about." Rima replied. Aiko shrugged and bit into a pocky stick.
"Why not?" Yuuki smiled at them, Amaya managing one herself.
"I'm grateful to you both." Yuuki told them. Amaya nodded.
"What Yuuki said." Senri noticed something and asked,
"Hanabusa hasn't come yet, has he?" Rima looked down at Yuuki and Amaya and asked,
"You didn't ask him...?" Amaya bit her lip even harder now.
"No...For now, I just couldn't ask him. It was hard enough to ask Amaya...But Nagamichi-Sama was Aidou-Sempai's actual father..."
"I see." A man with blonde hair and brown eyes stated and said coldly, "Then I shall be frank with you. Those of us in Nobility have no desire to end up like Lord Aidou. We don't have any guarantee that you won't do as Kaname-Sama has done. Lord Aidou's son must be even more suspicious of you than us." He cast Amaya a look. "It's quite crude of you to be working this woman when Lord Aidou was you're father-in-law." Amaya flinched at the insult and recoiled, taking a step back.
"Or will you punish us for disobeying you, Yuuki-Sama?" A young woman with pink hair and yellow eyes asked, wearing a pink gown.
"Or rather," Another man said-he had green hair hair and onyx eyes, "why not just use your Pureblood power to make us follow you?"
Yuuki opened her mouth to answer, but was cut off by a familiar voice coming form behind her and the others.
"That is, she's incapable of such a thing. And I would most appreciate it if you didn't insult my fiance again." They all turned to see Hanabusa Aidou standing there in all his golden hair, iced blue eyes glory. He looked down at Yuuki and stated, after giving the dark haired man a glare,
"I believe in her."
"Lord Aidou's..." A man trailed off, alarmed.
"Pardon the intrusion, but I'm also collaborating with her." Hanabusa apologized. Yuuki gave Hanabusa a grateful look, smiling, before turning and bowing to the Aristocrats.
"Please." Amaya just stared up at her fiance with surprise, before letting a smile flicker across her face. She gazed up at him warmly, eyes fluttering closed slightly as she stared up at him. He caught her gaze and gave her a small smile, letting her know that everything is going to be alright. She nodded slowly, features softening.
