Amaya yanked her wrist away from Zero angrily, deeply confused about why he dragged her all the way out into the woods. Zero held his wrist, a smirk playing on his face.

"You're still the same, even after all this time." He commented and slowly brought his wrist up to his mouth, fangs protruding and bit down, blood leeking from his wrist and down his fingers. Amaya's eyes widened and her breathe hitched, the delicious scent of Zero's blood filling her nostrils. "My blood, drink it." He ordered, voice firm. Amaya bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut, shaking her head rapidly.

"No! I don't need it, Zero! I'm fine!"

"If you don't drink it, I will destroy the "Precious" School that Yuuki and you want to protect." He growled, narrowing his eyes. "Stop fooling yourself, Amaya, it doesn't suit you." Her bottom lip trembled and she glanced up at Zero with half-lidded eyes. "Amaya..." He urged. He could see the bloodlust in her eyes- the beautiful emerald green he come to care for so dearly, tinted with the red of a Vampire. He could see the conflict clearly on her face. She took a deep breathe before sighing,

"I really hate you sometimes...You know that right?" A smirk graced his lips as she gently grabbed his hand and licked his fingers one by one, ridding it of the sweet blood. 'Damn you, Zero.' She thought, frowning slightly, but couldn't help but admit silently at how good his blood tasted. She moved to his wrist and placed her mouth on it, sucking at the wound and piercing it with her fangs lightly. She removed her mouth from his wrist and stated quietly, "You should really learn to value your life more...Last time I checked, I was the Blood donor." Zero merely cast her a look, telling her that what she said was not funny in the least.

'No matter what...If we don't hurt each other, we can't help each other.' Amaya thought bitterly, 'We'll never move forward.' Amaya made to place the wrist to her mouth again, but seemed to have second thoughts. She gripped his wrist with her right hand and pushed it away, rushing towards Zero and standing her toes, leaning into his neck with her mouth wide open, fangs protruding and her eyes glowing a bloody red. Right before she bit, she hissed in reminiscence, "We're always like this, Zero." And pushed him down onto the ground and making him lean against a tree. She pinned his other arm to the tree and sat down between his legs. She paused ride before she bit and pulled away, staring at him intently, focused on his gorgeous lilac eyes.

"Is that it? Are you going to give up, Amaya?" Amaya's eyes grew sad as she stared at the one she once considered a close friend.

"No...That's not it Zero. I just...I guess I never thought I'd ever be drinking from you...God, that makes me sound like an alcoholic!" She laughed halfheartedly and Zero lips twitched upwards a little. "But...I just-I don't know...It seems kinda cliche to me. If you think about it, it's like we've switched roles-difference is, we're both Vampires." She tensed slightly, still not used to that fact, despite how long she's been drinking Hanabusa's blood. "I'm...I don't-I don't know, Zero. just...stop me if I go to deep or take too much, okay? I don't-I don't want to hurt you." Her eyes stung and she blinked, something wet travelling down her face. She released Zero's arm and instinctively moved to touch her cheek. She frowned and quickly wiped the tears away with her hand, very similar to how a little child would.

'I can't control it...much longer.' Amaya thought as she continued to stare at an emotionless Zero. She laughed bitterly muttering, almost forgetting that Zero could hear her, "I'm so stupid...I'm being nervous for nothing." She sighed. "Just...tell me when I need to stop, got it?" Zero nodded slowly.

"Every single thought in your mind, just erase it." Zero told her calmly as she leaned down into the crook of his neck. "Only occasionally will fragments inside my body awaken and make me think of your existence, that's all there is too it. Stop thinking of anything else."

Amaya licked his neck slowly and bit down, his sweet thick blood filling into her mouth like a river. She soon found herself delving into Zero's heart...not that deep, but she did get some glimpses.

Amaya found herself in a graveyard of sort and stared, shocked, at the reflection of herself that was sitting on a hand-like tree that was covering a coffin that had rose-thorn vines wrapped around it. Well, the reflection wasn't really exactly alike. It was her, but the past her. With her sidebangs and the Day Class uniform with the striped leggings. But there was another thing...this version of, this version of her was human. She could smell it.

The Look-alike smiled down at her saying, "Stop worrying, you idiot. It's okay." Amaya froze at the sound of her voice coming from her. "The thing that Zero's most afraid of is kept tightly locked in here, sleeping." She patted the coffin from her spot on the tree branch. Amaya sensed a presence from behind her and whirled around, coming face to face with a man with silver hair that stopped at his shoulders, wearing a white masquerade mask.

Cherry blossom petals flew around in the wind as the young man said, pulling off his mask and revealing saddened lilac eyes, identical to his twin brother,

"The one guarding the Coffin, is only a lingering memory."

"Ichiru!?" Amaya exclaimed, alarmed. The twin smiled softly at her, nodding.

"Man...What am I going to do with you!? Button your jacket! You fail at this! You look like some gang member with the way you dress! Next thing you know you'll have girls screaming "Kyah, kyah, kyah!" Every time they see you...and that was not meant to come out as a compliment." Amaya froze at the voice, her voice. It echoed around the room and resonated. "Now, smile!" The girl frowned, the same memory playing through her head. It was at the dance party a year ago when she was still human, while she was fixing Zero's tuxedo.

"I don't get it." It was Zero's own voice that echoed this time in confusion. "How do you keep on smiling like that?" Amaya looked around the room, only to find herself falling, falling down and down and down...down a dark abyss filled with shattered glass that played memories across it like a broken up movie. She saw the very glass that was currently playing slide pass her, the image of herself with a hand on her hip, trying not to crush the roses that were located on her dress.

"Well...Dunno. Maybe it's cause I want you to smile too." Amaya watched as her past self grinned and slapped Zero encouragingly on the chest, walking away, turning, and shouting with a lopsided grin, "And when you get asked to dance by a girl, don't say no! Or I'll kick your ass!" She found herself, watching herself walk away before the glass flew past and collided with another. The glass it collided with flew up and Amaya looked at it as It flew, another memory of the dance party gliding across it.

"You think she can...save me?" Amaya watched herself hold up a finger saying,

"Not think, know."

"We already made a deal!" A past Yuuki continued and Amaya had to admit, she looked young and completely innocent-the total opposite of what she was now. "The only way to stop your urges and becoming a level-E is too drink this woman's blood! I may be scared, but we'll be fine! So stay back!" Zero ignored her and walked towards them. Amaya watched as Zero gripped Luna, the weapon crackling in protest.

"Is what they say about your blood is true... Then I can still beat you within an inch of your life! Shizuka!" Past Yuuki quickly put away Artemis and looked at Past was a confused look on my past self's face before realization crossed it and she quickly brought the bracelet to his tattoo, only to have him grab her wrist. Zero had an angry look upon his face and demanded, "Why are you trying to stop me,!? She-!" He trailed off at the sight of Amaya's tear-filled face. Pain flared through his eyes at a brief moment and Amaya, present Amaya, had to wonder...

'How did I not notice that before?'

"Don't you know that the choices you both make are causing Zero to suffer? Even I can see that." Shizuka's voice rand past as the glass flew past and Amaya could feel something gripping her wrist as she continued to freefall. Her white uniform slowly started to turn black, and her bangs slowly began to grow and part to the side. The image changed to where Hanabusa was kissing her in the infirmary when Zero walked in, a slightly angered look on his face. His grip on an unconscious Yuuki tightened as she laid limp in his arms.

"Can you guys do that elsewhere?" An angered feeling burned within Amaya and she frowned confused, reaching towards the glass, only to have it slip and fall out of her grasp.

'Are these...Zero's feelings?' Then, as another glass-a huge piece of glass fell towards her- she felt desperation and deep, deep anger filling through her veins like a fire.

She watched as Zero slammed a door open and revealed a pale Amaya pressed against a wall with blood dripping down her mouth and neck, two new and bloody marks on her neck. She was pinned by a strange woman with black hair and jade green eyes, blood travelling down the woman's wrist. Anger and horror filled the present Amaya. Zero was pointing a gun at the woman, stating,

"I smell Vampires. Three of them." Then there it was...the desperation and horror that filled, the pure terror at the realization of what happened... Anger and murderous intent filled her like a river of fire. "No...What the hell did you do!?" He screamed angrily, eyes narrowing considerably and giving the black haired woman the darkest look he could muster, which was pretty damn scary. He tightened his grip on Bloody Rose, intent on pulling the trigger and shooting the woman. Shock filled her when she watched herself run in front of the dark haired woman, shouting in protest,

"Zero, stop! Don't hurt her! She was only- she was turning me back! She's my Mother's sister! She's my Aunt! You can't hurt her!" Amaya felt her eyes sting, but the intense feeling of not forcing the tears back filled her. The glass fell past and Amaya looked around again, spotting another and looking at it intently, before her eyes widened. That was one memory...one she tried so hard to forget.

"The Vampire Amaya and the Human Amaya are one in the same. Basically, all the memories poured into me and I realized that I only wanted Hanabusa's blood. That I..."

"Amaya, I... I only desired your blood, Amaya. I want it so much that it's unbearable. To the point that unless I drank from you until your life was in danger, I wouldn't be satisfied. Such a disgusting gluttonous greed."

"Hey, don't pry into my heart!"

Amaya froze and just like that, all the glass shattered and she her uniform turned back into white, her bangs shortening and returning to their across-forehead position. Amaya screamed as she started to freefall faster than ever, rather than the slow motion way she was moments ago. Everything went black for her, only to have her eyes shoot wide open with Zero's nails digging into her wrist. She quickly released Zero and pulled away from his neck, hand clasped over her mouth in alarm.

"I-I didn't see much, I promise!" She told him quickly and then gained an annoyed face at a memory from something Zero told her, "Unlike someone who happens to like prying into peoples memories..."

'Ichiru's in there...' Amaya thought, suspicion gnawing at her insides. 'And an impression of something else...'

Zero looked up at her, a hand clasped onto the bleeding bitemark, and questioned, "Huh?" Amaya blinked and panicked, alarmed, and waved her hands in front of her repeatedly shouting,

"That's not what I meant! It wasn't supposed to come out like that- I didn't mean it!" She stumbled over her words, trying to form the right sentence. Why couldn't she act correctly around Zero? She's acting like a complete idiot. "I just-I,uh...I mean-" She swallowed and blurted out, "Zero's still Zero!" She then groaned and ducked her head, embarrassed, her cheeks a flame red to match her hair. Even her fingertips were on fire-literally. "Sorry..." She swallowed and forced the blush down, before looking up at Zero and smiling a closed-eye smiling, saying, "Thank you, Zero. I wasn't able to control myself, I'm sorry."

'The very second I sank my teeth into Zero's neck, my mind- the part of it that even Hanabusa wasn't able to obtain- calmed down. I can't believe I actually revealed my fangs to someone I thought I'd never have to hurt.' She thought, still smiling at Zero.

From behind a tree, stood a Night Class student with blonde hair. He had watched the scene with wide eyes and clenched, shaking fists. He was frowning, but even he knew that a part of Amaya still loved Zero. That's why she still got hungry even though she drank his blood...A part of her craved for Zero's and now that she's had it...She was able to calm and relax.

"Amaya..." He placed a palm against the tree bark, small ice particles traveling up it and freezing a tree leaf. "Kiryuu Zero...I don't intend to lose." Hanabusa glanced coldly at the young Vampire, but felt an ounce- a teeny wheeny ounce- of gratefulness for calming Amaya. He stalked off, casting on last glance at the pair.

"Eh?" Senri asked dumbly, blinking.

"Are you serious?" Rima deadpanned, not believing the blonde one bit. Hanabusa glanced at the two, a look of hurt flashing across his face for the briefest of moments.

"I have always been serious! Even though we're surrounded, it's still the same! Since we're the Purebloods' subordinates, I'll go scout around." Senri gave the blonde a dull, bored look and questioned in a are-you-serious tone,

"You want to assist our permitted leader?" The mahogany haired boy questioned the blonde's sanity and almost wondered why Amaya got with him in the first place. Hanabusa let out an angry mushroom sigh, annoyed.

"That's right. The current situation is very unfavorable for trying to get work done."

"However, insider information is needed right now, Hanabusa." Senri told the blonde, still bored. He wondered where Aiko went... He shook the thought off and continued, looking at the blonde who went into chibi mode with his hands on his hips, "I thought you said Kaname-Sama ordered you to take his position. Is it safe to even leave Yuuki's side for even a short while? And what about Amaya?" Hanabusa went out of chibi mode, his eyes looking slightly distant,

"About that...well," Rima and Senri looked at each other and back at Hanabusa as he finished, "It should be alright. Beside them both, is a hunter with a feud against the Purebloods keeping an eye on them.

Amaya and Yuuki passed Zero in the hallway, Amaya speaking up as they paused,

"Zero. There are both Day and Night students outside..."

"I'm going to handle it now." Zero told the two. Yuuki nodded and glanced at the two who spoke. She then smiled widely and slapped Zero on the shoulder, Amaya laughing at his slight shocked reaction.

"We're counting on you Zero, so don't screw up!" Yuuki told him lightheartedly, smiling. Zero glanced at them out of the corner of his eyes, the two girls running out of his view.

"Later!" Amaya called after him, giving a short wave. Once the two girls were out of sight, Yuuki watched as Amaya collapsed on the ground, leaning against a wall. Yuuki sweatdropped and watched as the ginger sighed, chest heaving heavily as her heart pounded. "I'm exhausted..." She then grew angry with herself and screamed in annoyance, scratching her head furiously as she shouted, "Later" that's all I could say!? Amaya, you damn idiot, why are you acting like you're in a fucking Shoujo Manga!? ARGH!"

Yuuki really didn't know what to say as she watched her friend beat herself up after a small conversation with Zero. She blinked in surprise when the ginger paused in thought before muttering with a sweatdrop,

"Oh, right. I am in one..." The brunette raised an eyebrow at the ginger, questioning, but got a shrug in return. Yuuki pushed the thought off and sighed, running a hand through her hair before panicking, lifting Amaya up by her shirt collar and taking off the hallway screaming,

"WE NEED TO GET TO CLASS!"

"SET ME DOOOWN FIIIIIIRSSST!" The poor girl was clinging onto the female Kuran for dear life.

X.X

"I can't believe it..." Aiko groaned as she bit into her pocky stick.

"We're late." Rima stated as she, Aiko, and Senri headed up the stairs to Sara's Room.

"That's because Hanabusa wouldn't stop talking." Senri stated bluntly. Aiko blinked up at the Mahogany haired boy with a small smile and stated,

"I still don't get why Amaya puts up with him. I say she's better off with Zero." Rima shook her head at the brunette and said in a slightly dull and disgusted tone,

"As much as I hate to admit it, I'm voting for Hanabusa." They looked up at the boy for his vote and Senri blinked down at them and sweatdropped, seeing the looks they were giving him. He sweatdropped and questioned bluntly,

"What is it?"

"Who are you voting for?" They asked as they neared the door. Senri saw the looks they were giving them and stuck with the safer answer...

"The Winner." And took the pocky Aiko was eating and bit out of it, causing the girl to turn a deep red, lilac eyes widening. Rima sighed and shook her head at the two muttering,

"So childish." And placed her hand on the door handle, turning it and opening the door. They stared.

There in the corner by Sara, who was sitting like she was the Queen in a chair, surrounded by Vampires, was Takuma who was sparkling. And there lying on the ground looking like someone just died was Yuuki, Amaya by her side and smiling awkwardly, trying to comfort the Pureblood Princess. Rima deadpanned with a face,

"Why are you wearing such a defeated expression?"

"You look like someone died." Aiko stated bluntly, no offense to the late Nagamichi intended. Yuuki glanced at the two Aristocrats and one human with a forlorn expression,

"It appears that there's a major gap between our leadership skills and charisma... Sara-San is our new class President." Amaya laughed nervously and patted the girl on the back awkwardly, unsure what to do.

"But I think I will pass this job over to Yuuki." Sara stated with a sickly sweet smile on her face. It was then revealed that the sparkles were not coming from Takuma- thank god- and from her. (GASP! SHE'S A VAMPIRE TRAITOR!) "The responsibility of this job is too much for me."

"Okaaaaaaay..." Yuuki sounded like a ghost, as she was deathly pale. Rima gaped and Senri merely blinked, Aiko exclaiming in surprise and shock,

"Ehh!? She's being forced to take it!?" Senri turned his head and looked at the blonde man in the far corner, frowning and questioned,

"Takuma?"

"Ah!" Senri turned his head to see Maria looking out a window with a love-struck expression, a small blush across her face. Her palms were pressed against the window, a small smile on her face as he blue eyes shined, "Zero..."

"Okay, everyone!" The same teacher Amaya snapped at before called, "It's time to start class!"

"...I'm feeling a little uneasy about the future." Rima stated, blue lines growing on the side of her head from distress.

"Yeah." Senri agreed.

"Why do I feel like something bad is gonna happen?" They all had a depressed aura.

"Okay everyone!" Sara called, smiling sickly sweet. "Please do not give the teacher anymore trouble, go back to your seats, please!"

"Hey, Takuma-Sempai!" Yuuki called out the green eyed boy. The blonde turned surprised and looked at the brunette stating,

"Ah, Yuuki-Chan, hello."

"Hi. Can we continue speaking about what we spoke about yesterday?" His eyes lit up in realization before his aura dimmed slightly,

"Oh, you mean the new blood tablets? Sorry, I was mistaken. There was no problem, yeah..."

Both Yuuki and Amaya, along with Senri, Rima, and Aiko stared at the man disbelieving and surprised.

"Um, Takuma?" Amaya asked confused.

X.X

"Weird..." Amaya muttered, looking around the classroom frantically. Rima, Aiko, and Yuuki blinked and asked unison,

"Huh?"

"H-Hanabusa isn't here..." Amaya trailed off, sitting up straighter in her attempt to find her fiance. Yuuki blinked in realization and exclaimed,

"Yeah, where is Aidou-Sempai!?"

"He's going to take your place in your duties." Rima told Yuuki bluntly, a palm resting on her cheek. Her gaze shifted over to Amaya and said, "He went out for a while." Yuuki bit her lip, looking down slightly, realizing,

'Because I couldn't go outside...' She thought, guilty. Aiko blinked and sighed, saying,

"Look, it doesn't mean there's anything to be sad about. So just stop grieving, alright, Amy?" Amaya glanced up at her friend in surprise, before nodding, realizing that she was right. Amaya's head shot up and questioned confused,

"But won't he act weirdly and cause the association to get the wrong idea?" Oh, the faith she had in her fiance. Rima and Aiko shrugged, asking in unison,

"Who knows?" Yuuki and Amaya sweatdropped at that. Aiko then looked at Sara Shirabuki and told her,

"By the way, that's also the reason why Hanabusa isn't here today, Class Rep." Rima nodded.

"He's going to be absent temorarily."

Sara gave them a false smile as she tilted her head, blonde curls falling down her shoulder in waves, "Okay. Thank you."

...Time skip...

"-and that's why you shouldn't let the association make irresponsible remarks about Aidou-Sempai." Yuuki finished, grinning. Amaya nodded in agreement, Kaito sweatdropping as he stared at the two girls.

"...Right, how arrogant. We do, however, have a good idea of where that guy went." He turned his head to look at Zero, who was leaning against a tree with his arms crossed. "Hey, Zero, you saw him right?" Zero merely said,

"They're here," just as Yagari walked up.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Zero gave him an annoyed look as he demanded,

"What business do you have with me? Calling us here to a remote corner of the school..." Yagari merely rolled his eyes at his pupil's tone, stating bluntly,

"That's because some things can't be said at the association headquarters."
