It's not the time to think about that... But as fast as Naruto and the stranger clashed blades the stranger was gone like he was never there.
"Chouji I thought I'd find you here!" a familiar annoying voice called. Don't tell me it's her. Why does she of all people have to be here. I turned my head, looking at the blonde over my shoulder. "For crying out loud Asuma-sensei's angry that you still haven't shown up!" Ino told Chouji in her usual manner. Ino looked at me then smirked and looked away. Such a bitch.
Flashback
I'm already late! Mom might actually kill me this time if I'm not home soon. "Hey you." Ino stepped in front of me. In mid-run I had to stop and try to brake so I wouldn't run into her. "I'm sorry I'm in a hurry so-" I tried to explain meekly. "Hmmmm? I can't hear your soft voice." Ino took my breadbag from me. "No give it back!" I tried to reach for it but Ino put out a foot to trip me causing me to fall on my back. "Remember that next time you want to sit next to Sasuke." Ino sneered. "It was the only seat left!" I tried to explain.
"Your in my way." A voice came from behind us. "S-Sasuke-kun!" Ino flushed. I immediately stood up now that I had the chance. Sasuke took a moment to look at my short blue hair that barely brushed my shoulders. He then took the bag from a stuttering Ino and handed it to me. "You didn't hear I liked girls with long hair?" He asked, his expression blank. "I did." I blinked, wondering how it was relevant. "You can sit by me tomorrow too so none of the other people in our class try. Now get out of the way." Sasuke commanded and I scrambled off.
End Flashback
"Sorry Ino, some weird guy just started attacking us." Chouji explained. "Who? Him?" Ino looked directly at me. "Ino." Shikamaru sighed. "Weird guy...?" Ino began looking around. "Hey is it, is the weird guy Naruto?" Ino asked. "HEY NARUTO!" Ino waved, "IT'S BEEN A WHILE!" Ino completely ignored Chouji trying to explain that it wasn't Naruto. "It's fine now Chouji, damn this is troublesome." Shikamaru scratched his head.
"I'm off guys." I waved, walking away. "What are you doing? I'll come." Shikamaru offered. "Ah, nothing you should worry about." I moved quicker. I'd always kept my training a secret. Nobody ever really knew how hard I trained everyday. People thought of me as a Kirizaki prodigy, but I'm only strong because I train as hard as I can.
I went to Kakashi's house first and let myself in. I kept my training clothes there since I made a point to avoid home when mom was there and I trained with him alot anyways. After changing into black shorts, wrapping bandage around my breasts to cover them, and put my hair in a ponytail I headed out to a open field.
I created five waterclones using Naoko's chakra. I had to use her chakra for training so I couldn't control the clones. Naoko paced around in my mind, angry that I'd used her chakra. The one downfall to training is the stronger I got, the stronger she got. And no matter what I did, she was always two times stronger.
The clones of Naoko came at me, their black hair whipping behind them as they moved at incredible speeds. Even clones of her are faster than me. I jumped over one and then landed in front of another which tried to stab me with a kunai. I rolled away, not having enough time for a jutsu when a third came flying at me from behind. I know good and well I can only handle four of her clones at a time. Suddenly it was flung to the side.
"What did daddy tell you about training too much." Tsena put his hands on his hips. Laynaki came in next, using her reaper scythe to kill the clone Tsena had knocked away. "Yeah." She agreed with her always straight expression. "The nickname won't stick even if you call yourself it." I grinned. "You were slower than normal. Go rest." Tsena commanded. "I'm fine." I tried to laugh it off but all the Akatsuki mess had really taken a toll on me.
The other four clones got their bearings and came at us again. "Reaper death circle." Laynaki drew a circle in the ground with her Scythe then made a triangle in it. When she did her Black and Grey Scythe grew longer than normal and she took each out with one swing. It was only so simple because Naoko's focus had dropped, making her clones effectiveness drop.
"You still worship Jashin?" I asked, trying to change the subject. Though I already knew she did, the only reason she became a ninja was so she could devote her life to Jashin by collecting souls and sacrificing them to him. I still can't get over the fact that she eats souls though.
For her souls were a power-up, she'd store a few in her Scythe's secret compartment at the bottom for emergencies. Souls go bad every month so she sacrifices them to Jashin if she doesn't eat them. When she does, she becomes immortal for a while, the amount of time depending on the souls strength. So even if her head is cut off it can be put back on and she'll live.
Laynaki however, ignored me and started wordlessly dragging me by the hair. "Ow ow ow! Alright I'll stop training just let me go ow!" I protested and she released me. I stood, releasing my hair from its updo. "Hehehe." Tsena snickered to himself. "What?" I asked, looking around. Tsena then reached up to my boobs, squeezing one. "Idiot." Laynaki hit him with the flat side of her scythe. "Mad because you're chronically flat chested?" Tsena teased. "Reaper death circle." Laynaki begun drawing a circle in the ground.
I tried to run away since I had the chance but I ran into a familiar guy. "Yuuki?" I asked, backing up. "Hey." Yuuki smiled gently at me. "One day I'll become strong enough to cure you." I told him confidently. "That's your problem. You care too much about everybody else. You don't have to take on everybody's problems." Yuuki told me in a soft yet refined voice. "As if you can talk, Prince Yuuki." I teased him. Team 3 was well known as the Konoha Host Club for our team jutsu and powers of persuasion and Yuuki didn't help, he was a sucker for a female. It's not that he liked them, he just wanted to protect them.
"Don't call me that. Anyways we're needed. We need to keep s guy named Danzo busy for a while and get information from him." Yuuki blushed slightly before his tone got serious. "Naki, Tsena stop for a second." I called out and they ran over. Yuuki explained the mission and they headed over to where Danzo was last spotted, leaving me to put on more appropriate clothes.
I sighed, but more importantly before I got dressed I wanted to get a breathe of some fresh air to relax. I started running through the village, letting the cool air run through my vast ocean of hair. I ran on tops of buildings, jumping and jumping.
Though as I jumped on the Hokage's office building I looked in to see what was going on and lost track, plummeting straight down, my hair blocking sight so I couldn't use agility. Suddenly I fell right on someone. I stood up, brushing myself off. Then the man brushed himself off.
Whos this guy, he's kind of old and weird. "Hey, who are you?" My voice went a little higher and cuter, as it did when I met a new person of the opposite sex. I've seen that X, it was a vision or a dream. "You maycall me Danzo...Your arm." Danzo pointed to it. I looked, my eyes growing wide at the appearance of an orange mask tattoo on it. When the he'll did he put that there. "What about it?" I tilted my head, wondering how it was relevant. This is the guy from my mission! I should watch him to be safe. This works out perfectly since it was a chance meeting.
"You, Shouko of the Kirizaki clan, do you take me as a fool?" Danzo asked, stopping my heart. "Your team was sent to watch me right? Then come along, we have something to discuss, take pity on a poor old man." Danzo chuckled, walking. "So, would you be willing to be my eyes?" He asked as we got further out.
"Are you blind!?" I fretted, wondering if that's why we needed to watch him. "I can see, but compared to you I'm blind. Your eyes could be a powerful asset to Konoha." He said elusively. "Poor old man?" I questioned him and he merely chuckled in response. "But my offer?" He questioned me right back.
"I'll talk to Tsunade about it." I narrowed my eyes in suspicion. "Root are the roots and Konoha is the tree. We support it from underneath." Danzo said, stepping when I tried to escape. "I'll think on it." I jumped, rising high into the air then propelling myself towards a tree. From there I started running untill I saw two hooded men. One unnaturally tall and one a tad shorter.
Someone is trying to steal my eyes and now I have to intercept something like this... I mean it's not necessarily my job but they could be dangerous. They look awfully suspicious. I awakened my sumiregan and my eyes widened. I can't see his emotion, is he Itachi!? If they're attacking then-! I'm-I'm partly responsible. I'm a traitor... Why did I get involved in a organization like that anyways?
Guilt consumed my soul, filling it until the point I had a feeling Laynaki could sniff it from wherever she was. I stepped in front of the two and saw the shiny glint of a Sharingan. "What the hell?" I growled at them, balling up my fists. "We aren't here to attack Konoha. We were sent to retrieve you. There's a mission that needs you urgently." Kisame said. "You want to protect Konoha, don't you." Itachi asked and I almost thought I could see a ...smile.
"Then why didn't you just have Tobi message me through this damn thing he put on my arm." I was still a tad on edge. "What thing?" Itachi spoke, his eyes narrowing severely. "This messagy-thing." I still had on pretty much zero clothes except for my little training outfit so I turned, showing them my tattoo. "Cover that up quickly, if someone sees the mask they'll know you're in akatsuki." Itachi stood close to me to hide my arm."Itachi what kinda jutsu is that?" Kisame asked. Itachi didn't speak further. I silently led them to Kakashi's place.
I was about to change my clothes but then I realized, "Are you two gonna watch me? Usually I don't mind putting on a show if you get my drift but Sharks have a higher rate of being pedophiles." I winkedat Kisame. "What kind of statistic is that?" Kisame frowned. "A fake one." I shrugged as they both turned. I unwrapped my bandages then slid on my usual shirt followed by taking off the shorts to put on my skirt, fishnet and boots. I adjusted my gloves then turned to sit on Kakashi's bed.Kakashi...I don't know what I'm doing. I just want more power to protect everybody I love. I want to cure Yuuki, and be worthy of a Kage's affection. But, is this the right path?
"So what is this mission?" I asked, walking out of the space with the Akatsuki in tow. "S-rank, in your terms. It's two separate missions. For the first you'll need your Akatsuki jacket, you only need to wipe out a particular village and its 'Hoshikage'." Kisame started. I-I remember that village. I went to save it, I looked totally different but that isn't the point. I backed Kakashi up while we protected that village. Now...I have to destroy it?
"Next you'll be working as a spy to investigate the village of the jinchuuriki Yugito." He said. "My coat is in my room." I said then the two Akatsuki stopped. "Then are you going to go back and get it?" Kisame asked. "That was Kakashi's place." I explained. "You two are...?" Itachi trailed off. "He's my idol and best friend, he thinks of me as a daughter." I shrugged the silent accusations off.
I led them both to my thankfully empty house. I could explain Itachi away as my lover since nobody except my mom knew what Itachi Uchiha looks like. Aki's too young and my elder sister is ANBU training so she doesn't know specifics about Akatsuki yet. My mom would probably not be paying enough attention to even notice. "BOO! Hey who's that?" Aki jumped out from a corner, causing me to fall over and into Itachi who's hood fell off.
I got on my toes, kissing Itachi on the forehead as an excuse to pull off his headband without getting noticed. "My foreign lover." I winked at Aki, begging my heart to slow down. She saw him. Kisame just ran across my mind and I turned to look for him but he was gone.
"B-be nice to my sister okay? She may be dramatic and flirty but..But.. She's really soft inside! She has a teddy bear still even though she's sixteen and once she didn't eat for a week and gave all her food to the poor and-"
My face turned a deep shade of scarlet and I interrupted Aki's tirade, "Well um, thank you Aki!" I said, pulling Itachi along to my room where I put on my cloak inside out. "I'm sorry about her... she means the best." I sighed. Itachi just silently stared off into the distance. "I guess it's something you might not understand..." I chuckled, he did kill his entire clan after all. WHY THE HELL AM I SO NATURAL WITH HIM WHEN HE'S THE REASON SASUKE LEFT!? He might be hot beyond words but...He's the reason Sasuke won't come back.
"How so?" Itachi asked. I bit my lip, clenching my fists and slightly trembling. "SASUKE WAS MY BEST FRIEND! HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTOOD ME YOU JERK. I'M JOINING YOUR STUPID GROUP SO I CAN BE STRONG ENOUGH TO SAVE EVERYONE INCLUDING HIM! I ACTUALLY LOVE MY SISTERS! YOU BAKA SASUKE AND KAKASHI ARE ALL I HAVE AND YOU TOOK SASUKE AWAY FROM ME!" Tears had started streaming back when I called him a baka.
"I'm glad my brother had a friend like you." Itachi patted my head, pulling me in for a brotherly hug. "You are naive, just because something is known as a 'truth' or a 'fact' simply means it's widely accepted. Sasuke based his entire 16 years on a 'truth' which was just a lie." He said gently. "So you're telling me you didn't kill your clan." I sank deeper into his hug. "You're doing it again. You use 'truths', 'facts' and 'reality' as safety net. Yet that net you so cling to is blinding you." He then chuckled. "Care to hear a old story?" He asked, pulling me onto my bed.
