The only thing I have to say in this chapter is...Poor Hanabusa! Oh my god, just, poor Hanabusa! Listening to "Brothers" instrumental and Angel Beats songs while writing this and even before when I was writing the one scene, my eyes were watering...Also read "Our Faults in the Stars" God, I cried. Why, Augustus, why!? What about Hazel!? It's so sad! I cired so much writing this chapter...
"In this world, there are Vampires and Humans, and between them, there were people who suffered because of love. Those that were touched by the outstretched hands, now want to show you, those answers."
"You stay alive and I'll let you take a bath in the Jacuzzi tub." Aiko stood up straight, giving Rima a salute,
"It would be my pleasure to survive, Rima! If you stay alive, I'll buy you a week's supply of Pocky!"
"If you both don't stop," Senri began, slashing at a Vampire that was inches away from Aiko's neck. She whirled her head around, eyes wide. She did not see him coming, "then I'll make sure to eat all of your Pocky and make you babysit Hanabusa for a week!"
The girls' flinched. When he was angered, he knew how to make threats.
"Yes, Senri-look out!" Aiko shouted, causing Senri to whip at the next Vampire that flew at him.
"Ruka!" Akatsuki shouted, catching sight of the weakening brunette, "Fallback for a while, there are too many of them!"
"Yes..." She whispered, stumbling slightly, "Due to the proximity of Purebloods, it's difficult to use my illusion powers..." She caught sight of a blue haired man who glared at her. She narrowed her eyes, flashing them red, as she tried to convince him to kill himself. She felt sweat bead down her face as she grew exhausted.
Soon, the guy with the scar on his face was knocked over and slammed into the gate by a Pureblood, busting it open.
Yagari declared angrily, "The Gate is broken!"
Purebloods charged forwards into the gate, demanding, "Where is the head of the Kuran Family!?"
"Find him!"
They entered the gates and found Zero pointing a gun at them, a wall of flame separating them from them, and Kaname giving them a look, while Jack just stood there with a crooked grin on his face.
"Hey, Amaya, wake up!" Hanabusa shook Amaya, who he was holding bridal-style. She groaned and he frowned, worried. He looked at Yuuki next, who was struggling to stand, "Pull yourself together!"
"H-Hanabusa..." Amaya muttered, groggily opening his eyes. He looked down, relieved, at her and asked,
"You're awake? Great. Anyway, for now-" He cut himself off when he Amaya reached a hand up to his shoulder, leaning forward, eyes half-lidded, whispering,
"Hanabusa..." Hanabusa felt someone push up his arm sleeve and turned his head to see Yuuki leaning towards his bare arm. He blinked nervously and asked them confused,
"H-Hey, what're you two doing-?"
"Blood..." The girls' whispered. Amaya quickly bit down and started to drink hungrily. Yuuki followed not so soon after, biting down on his arm roughly and drinking from him. She wasn't that much of a fan of the taste, mango not being her most favorite food in the world, but put up with it; she needed blood.
Hanabusa felt his blood get drained quickly and paled drastically. He cried out, trying to shake Yuuki off of his arm without dropping Amaya, "H-Hey! Stop it! There are some things I don't want you to know about!" His face was extremely red as memories started to pass through his mind and Yuuki felt a small blush form on her face from the intrusion, and Amaya just continued to drink, completely relaxed.
Not long after, Hanabusa's legs gave way beneath him and released Amaya, who quickly removed her fangs and landed on her feet, fully energized now. Yuuki released his arm, wiping the blood off of her lips, and said,
"Thank you, Sempai!"
"Thanks Hanabusa, love you, we'll be back!"
"We need to get Artemis and Luna!" Amaya quickly kissed Hanabusa on the cheek and ran towards the Academy with Yuuki. Hanabusa was left on the ground on his hands and knees, exhausted from having most of his blood drained. He had outstretched a hand towards them as if saying "Help" and felt tears prick his eyes. His manly pride wouldn't let him cry thought, so he decided to curse instead,
"Damn those girls." He muttered, a hand on the side of his neck and another on his wrist as he sat up. "Damn..." After a few moments he pretty much devoured his entire packet of blood tablets to regain his strength. More energized than before, he stood, letting out a sigh, 'Phew...This should keep me moving."
"SEMPAI!"
"STOP DRAGGING ME, DAMN IT!" He heard the two girls' shout. He barely had time to register the fact that Yuuki and Amaya were wearing the Day Class uniforms and that Amaya was dragging Amaya by the collar of her uniform, before Amaya gripped onto his collar as they ran past and Yuuki was dragging the both of them towards the gates where the battle was being held.
"Aidou-Sempai! We're going to go protect the school and Kaname!" All you could hear was the sound of Hanabusa's breathe being knocked away from him.
X.X
''Thanks to you, my life became warped," Zero began, speaking to Kaname as he shot at another Vampire. "But even so, I don't want those appalling Vampires coming at us have their way, and I don't want either of them to become sad either." He spoke to both Kaname and Jack that time. Jack threw up another fire wall and burned some Vampires to ashes. "That's why, as much as I hate you both, I can't let them have either of you. Just so you know, Kaname," He let out another round of bullets, "this is not because of your manipulation. This is how I truly feel! Let's beat them together!"
A Vampire shouted, "Don't falter attack!"
Zero prepared to shoot again and Kaname let a sad smile cross his face as he stared at Zero. Jack didn't know what to say, so he just threw more fire tendrils towards the Purebloods. Kaname, making a decision, headed out, Jack following.
...
Takuma stood, covered in blood, holding his katana, and questioned Kaname sadly with a smile, "I know there's no point trying to stop you, but you're going no matter what?"
Kaname and Jack said nothing and Takuma sighed, the small, sad smile still plastered on his face,
"I see...I understand. In the end...that's the way you are."
...
Yuuki finally let Amaya and Hanabusa run by themselves, but they still hadn't let go of each other, instead, they were holding each other's wrists. They arrived at the gate and Yuuki was confused,
"Where's Kaname?" She turned her head and saw Zero and the other Aristocrats fighting. Her eyes widened.
...
Kaname stared up at the furnace, determined on ending his life for the sake of Yuuki and everyone.
"Yuuki...For this walking corpse that I have become, you were the flame of life, the light in my heart, who gave me the joy of being needed once again. And to think that you would allow someone like me to love you..." He was silent for a moment, visions and memories of Yuuki flashing through his mind as he smiled sadly, "I'm sorry, but the time has come. This is when my unstoppable heart is necessary, to stop other unstoppable hearts." He placed a hand over his chest, prepared to take his heart out, when a voice spoke,
"I don't think so." Kaname barely had time to register Aliza's presence when his breathing became restricted, black dots dancing in his vision. He turned his head to look at the blonde Ancestor, fighting against her power, when the scent of freshly plucked roses filled his senses, catching him off guard and allowing her to send another wave towards his head, rendering him unconscious. He collapsed against the cold ground and Jack moved out of the shadows, revealing himself. Aliza's powers of air and soundwaves have concealed her scent and prescence, making it to where Kaname could not detect her, but Jack knew her well enough.
"Aliza, stop this." Jack spoke, looking at the blonde. She shook her head with a small smile,
"It is necessary. My heart is necessary to stop other hearts, and I can't let Kaname-Kun do this to himself and to Yuuki-Chan."
"Aliza, please-!" He took a step forward, but that was when it felt like he was unable to breathe and a force was pounding his head. He only had enough time to watch Aliza reach into her own chest and rip out her heart before he collapsed, everything going dark.
Aliza tossed her heart into the furnace, and almost instantly she collapsed onto her knees, resting against the bricks that surrounded it. Blood coated her face and she coughed, "F-Forgive me, my loves, it is...necessary...the Oath...must be kept."
"KANAME!"
"DAMN IDIOT!" Two very familiar and distinct voices rang out. Yuuki and Amaya ran in, Yuuki crying out again in a desperate attempt to find him,
"Kaname-!?" She cut herself off, staring surprised at the kneeling blonde. Amaya's emerald eyes widened as she gasped,
"A-Aliza?" She then saw how pale she was and the blood that coated her face, crying out in alarm as she ran forward, jumping up onto the ledge and towards the woman she once thought was her mother, "Mom!"
Zero and Yuuki took the slower route, running up the steps and looked down surprised at the men who were collapsed on the ground. Zero stared at them with wide eyes, "Kaname...Jack...Aliza, you..." He looked up at the blonde, who smiled ruefully at them, and merely nodded, "This can't be-you-" He took a deep breathe and closed his eyes, turning his head, "This shouldn't be happening..."
"Why did you...?" Yuuki asked confused and watched as Amaya knelt down in front of her Aunt, placing a hand against the woman's chest and feeling no heartbeat. Amaya felt the tears prick her eyes as she whispered softly,
"Your heart..."
"It's inside the furnace, isn't it?" Yuuki questioned sadly, knowing that the woman was going to die soon.
"It is. It's melting and then regenerating again and again in the furnace," Aliza explained, "so it will no longer regenerate within me."
Amaya instantly reacted, tears starting to trail down her face, and reached towards the furnace, "We have to get it out! You can't live without-!" She cried out as she reached inside the flames to try and grasp the heart. She felt two arms wrap around her torso and pulled her back, tears streaming. She choked back a sob, unable to believe what was happening. "Mom, please, stop it-!"
"It's too late..." Aliza whispered weakly, feeling herself fading slowly. She tightened her grip around the young woman she considered a daughter, feeling tears prick her eyes, "the core of my life has been shifted to within the furnace. Before long, my body will stop moving, and I will lose my consciousness and live as the many weapons that will be created."
Amaya's hand was still outrstreched, as if desperately hoping that the heart would just fly out of the furnace and back into Aliza's chest, "Ugh...I...I don't want you to become like this! If-If only I remembered, if I-if I just could've remembered the future then-this-you-everything would be different!" Amaya screamed, eyes squeezing shut as her tears fell like waterfalls. "I...I should've...I should've known! Why-? Why can't I do anything right!?" She sobbed, feeling her knees starting to give way. She fell to the floor and Aliza held her "daughter" close, burying her face into her hair,
"Don't say that as if you never accomplished anything...You met Hanabusa again, you helped save the Academy from the Association when it was still being ruled cruelly, and you helped stop Rido from taking Yuuki away..." She whispered softly, "You did a lot more than you think, and you made me very, very proud. You have no idea how happy you've made me; I've never been happier to be treat you like my own daughter...Araiya would be so proud of you. Maybe I can tell her of everything you've done...when I see her." Amaya let out a small sob and whimper,
"You...You know I don't b-believe in heaven..."
Araiya felt a small smile flicker on her face at her sister's child's words and whispered, "No...but we do..."
"M-Mommy..." Amaya whimpered, unable to say anything else. She spoke after a few moments, "I...I don't want to lose you, too..."
"You won't, my love," Aliza whispered in British accent, "I'll always be with you...in your heart and your memories."
Amaya turned her head to look at her mother just as she fell forward slightly, going limp. Amaya's eyes widened and she shouted in alarm,
"No! No, damn it, stay with me!" She remover her mother's grip from her and grabbed her shoulders, desperately shouting. Aliza's eyes opened just a tad and whispered,
"I wish I didn't have to do this...but it's for the good of everyone..., tell Jack that I'm sorry, my love? He knows that I had no choice. I'm...sorry..." And with that, her eyes shut closed and she fell forward, completely limp and her body getting cold. Something inside Amaya and she buried her face in her mother's shoulder, screaming angrily out of grief and despair.
Zero and Yuuki could only stare sadly, and Zero glanced up in surprise as Yuuki stood, pulling out Artemis, and making a break for it out of the furnace chambers.
"Yuuki!" He shouted after her, standing, and casting a glance at the people surrounding him. Two were unconscious, one was dead, and was grieving. He glanced down in surprise when Bloody Rose was ripped from his by the furnace.
Amaya stopped sobbing after a few minutes and lifted her head, a dark shadow over her face as she gently placed Aliza on the ground next to Jack and Kaname, and stood. Zero watched as she walked past him, not even bothering to cast him a glance, and headed up the stairs, passing a saddened Hanabusa, who muttered quietly,
"Aliza-San..." Her slow steps slowly turned into a walk, with quickly turned into a full-on sprint towards the battle field. She plucked Luna out of it's holder and shouted as she arrived next to Yuuki,
"SHUT THE HELL UP AND STOP FIGHTING YOU SONUVA BITCHES!" She panted after she screamed, voice hoarse, and coughed, her face tear-stained.
"Now, where'd you two disappear off to?" The pink haired Pureblood woman questioned haughtily.
Blood and ashes were everywhere. People were on the ground, wounded and bleeding, while some tried to tend to the wounded while the others just stood and watched the two girls', who were pissed off to no end.
"Yuuki-Chan, Amaya-Chan!" Takuma gasped, looking at the two Kuran-blooded girls' in surprise. Beside him were Rima, Aiko, and Senri, who were all in fighting stances, prepared for another fight.
"What the hell're you two doing here!?" Aiko demanded, giving them a cold glare.
"Stupid girls'." Yagari muttered, his shoulder bleeding.
"Shut it, Yagari-Sensei." Amaya growled, glaring at the Purebloods. It was all because of them she sacrificed herself...She sacrificed herself to save Kaname and Yuuki and Zero and Hanabusa and Aiko and everyone else she knew and those she didn't. Her grip tightened on Luna and she growled, baring her fangs, which had elongated, and Yuuki did the same with Artemis.
The Vampire with the dreadlocks growled at them, "We no longer need, these "shackles" name Kuran..."
The man with dark hair, who was facing against Ruka earlier, counted off, "The Association, the leader named "Kuran", the Senate...what have we, the "Immortals" gotten from these people for the past ten thousand years? The unbearable "stagnated time." There was a brief silence in which neither Human, Hunter, or Vampire said anything. The Vampire continued, "Just a little bit more and we'd be free from those shackles to start all over again."
The Pinkette Vampire woman continued, "And that's why we don't need you either."
The dark haired man raised an arm, declaring, "Be cut into pieces, Young girls' of the Kurans'!" And soon, within moments, the Pureblood's servants flew in the air and charged at the girls', who raised their weapons, ready to strike back.
Only to have said weapons crumble into dust.
Amaya blinked once, twice, then cried out in shock. Yuuki looked at Artemis in surprise, eyes wide.
Just then, the Academy's bell rang, causing everyone to turn and look at Cross Academy, only to watch cracks grow within the metal and bricks, watching silently, as it started to crumble. The buildings cracked and fell and flew and scattered and everyone was screaming as loud as they could, running for their lives and or trying to block the debris that was flung at them. Vines with thorns sprouted from the Academy, showing that it was what had made it begin to crumble, and tangled in the vines as they shot out of the building towards near where Yuuki and Amaya were standing, was a pale silhouette with silver hair, white button-up shirt torn as vines sprouted from his body and lurched towards all the Hunter weapons.
Touma, the small Pureblooded boy, cried out in shock and anger, "This brute and powerful weapon...Kuran Kaname, you-!" He was shut up by Amaya's fist in his face, sending him reeling back a few feet. He spat out blood and glowered at the American, pissed off, "Why you insolent, insufferable-"
"It was my mother who sacrificed herself, you bastard, so shut the FUCK UP!" She shouted at him, her hair and hands bursting into flames.
Isaya was silent as he watched the thorny vines grow, and Kaien blinked in surprise as he tried to keep his sword,
"Is this, Bloody Rose?" Kaien asked in surprise and shock. Amaya watched in alarm when thorns pierced Touma, causing him to cry out before shattering into shards. He barely even had time to bleed before he was destroyed.
Amaya turned her head to watch the silhouette in the vines, blinking as it, no, he, landed beside her and Yuuki, his feet landing against the ground. Amaya had to ask with a raised eyebrow, "How many times are going to pull stunts like that before you realize that you'll kill yourself one day by doing that?"
Zero gave her a look and she frowned, swallowing. She muttered a quiet, "Sorry..."
The War was ended, strangely, because of that. Yori and Kageyama, who had come to accept that there were Vampires out in the world, were tending to wounded while Yagari and Kaito checked up on Seirin, who was still in the Infirmary.
Yuuki had thoroughly given Kaname a scolding for trying to kill himself, in which he returned the gesture by embracing her and telling her stuff like, how we was sorry, how he was only trying to do what was right, how he didn't think he was the right person for her and how he thought she would be able to find some one else, but after seeing the look on her face, he shut up and kissed her.
Hanabusa, being the kind gentleman and sweetheart he is, encased Aliza in an ice coffin.
"I thought we mustn't expose Aliza-San to danger when she's defenseless," He explained with a pained and said look on his face and in his eyes, "so I tried my best and locked her up in an ice coffin..."
"No, you did well, Aidou-Kun." Kaien told the blonde. He had a bandage wrapped around his forehead and around his forearm, blood staining his clothes. Kaname had nodded in agreement, silent, as Kaien continued, "Other than being an ancestor, she's, more importantly, the adopted sibling of my friends. We have to treat her with great care..."
Seirin looked at Kaname and spoke, Takuma beside her, "Kaname-Sama..." The dark haired man nodded and they all left to leave, only Amaya and Zero staying behind.
"It's not because of Hanabusa, but, I'm not running away anymore." Zero spoke from beside the doorway to the staircase, Amaya standing next to Aliza who in the ice coffin. She could not touch the ice, however, for even if she just placed a hand against it, it would melt instantly because of her power being fire. She was silent, listening to Zero speak, "You too...it's fine for you to think about it," She understood what he was talking about, and frowned slightly, chest aching. How much she wanted to say "Yes" but is unable. She can't, not anymore. Not unless, if my some horrible miracle, she and Hanabusa broke up. Which she highly doubted, "I know you're with Hanabusa, and knowing you, you'd have a lot to deal with, because you'd blame yourself for it..."
She heard Zero groan and the man pressed a fist to his forehead, feeling like an idiot. He took in a deep breathe, standing there for a minute or too in silence, before muttering, "Jeez...All these-Just let it all go," Let it go, Zero, just let it go.
She heard footsteps and froze up, tensing when she felt Zero wrap his arms around her and pull her into his chest, her back pressing against it as he leaned his head against hers, whispering, "Say that you'll go with me..." His eyes were pained, as were Amaya's, who could not say anything, "...It's fine, even if it takes years to say it. Even if a few decades have passed," She felt her eyes water, "please say it, before I turn into dust from starvation..." She felt a single tear slide down her cheek.
...
The Number of Purebloods decreased, but they still managed to preserve their influence. But, the power of the Hunters managed to increase after gaining special and more powerful, weapons, so both parties are struggling for supremacy and will co-exist for a long time.
Isaya said that, "After listening to that person's last words, there's no longer a need for me" and completely vanished.
Hanabusa had found an important book in the Kuran Family's library. The blonde scanned the pages quickly, sweat beading down the side of his face as he read desperately, "It's a very old method, but...This is amazing! It's not complete, but it's a reasearch of the "Treatment" to turn Vampires into Humans..." He was sitting cross-legged on the ground, surrounded by a bunch of books, "This is Kaname-Sama's handwriting...He must not have finished it. He's stopped writing although he's almost there..." His ice blue eyes glinted slightly, "It needs a method that hasn't even been invented yet."
Amaya blinked at her fiance and questioned confusedly, "The how the hell are we supposed to complete it?" He turned his head and smirked at her, holding up an index finger, and said,
"Just you watch...Once I gain Kaname-Sama's permission to continue his research, of course." She rolled her eyes and Hanabusa quickly leaned over and kissed her, as she was sitting next to him.
And as everyone kept their thoughts in their hearts...
Maria was rejected by Zero, but smiled a sad, understanding smile as he walked away.
Months and years passed.
Seirin and Yagari talking.
The girls' that were made into Vampires continued to live on, determined.
"Mama seemed to have noticed it recently..." The blonde with braids said to a short haired brunette, worriedly. The girl waved it off with smile, saying,
"It'll work out, somehow."
"Oh, yeah, is Takuma-Sama doing Gravekeeping today?" The blonde asked curiously, for she had a crush on the blonde, even though he was dating Rima.
...
"Vampires!?" A girl exclaimed, surprised, "Our school, too?"
A dark haired girl nodded with a grin, "Yeah. There're rumors that there's a Vampire sleeping in the basement of this school building."
"Ehh? That's not a bad Vampire, right?" A light haired girl questioned, slightly frightened, but excited at the same time.
A girl with red curly hair with a green head band nodded, "It might be true. In the past, they had a Night Class in this school and-ah, Chairman, Takamiya-Sensei, Good morning." She greeted, bowing her head slightly as the two walked past.
"Good morning!" Kaien greeted enthusiastically, while Kaito greeted with a more calm tone,
"Good morning." The girls went back to gossiping, the pale blonde with wavy hair exclaiming,
"That's right! A senior told me that if you tried to go past the locked door of the basement, a prefect will stop definitely come to stop you! And, there's a beautiful guy with hair of Acacia Honey's color, smiling...
"Ehhh!? I want to meet him!" A dark haired girl whined, causing the others to laugh and giggle.
... The Era changes and a thousand years have passed...
Amaya stood at Zero's grave, eyes watering slightly, even thought Yuuki stood beside her comfortingly, and held up the broken pieces of Bloody Rose.
"Yuuki and I will put this at Ichiru's and your parents' place, okay?" She felt her voice crack slightly, like it always did when she visited this place. He died six years ago, killed by a rogue Vampire in battle. It wasn't a bad death, it would be a death he'd be happy with, but it didn't mean that it wasn't sad and that it didn't hurt her. She could remember his smiling face and the way his lilac eyes shown brightly when he stared at her, "You don't mind, right?"
She and Hanabusa had gotten into a big fight a long time ago, about how he was always distancing himself from her and the kids, keeping himself locked up in the study with Kaname as they tried to work on the cure... It hurt, they tried to work it out, but even Riku, Akane, and Chiyo commented on how it felt like he was never there anymore. They never even saw him at the dinner table-he always had one of the maid's bring his dinner to him and Kaname and kept themselves locked up. Kaname at least had the courtesy to leave once in a while to visit Yuuki, Sayori, Daiki, and Ayako. It still hurts, to think about it. In fact, now that she thinks about, she still loves them both. Maybe that was her curse for being unable to prevent anything despite knowing the future and past...Even if she leaves one and goes to the other, she still loves the one and the other she's left.
"I...I know we quarreled a lot in the past, honestly, most of the time I wanted to light your hair on fire and make you go bald so I'd have even more of a reason to call you an old man or "Mr. Grumpy Face," She heard Riku and Daichi snort from beside he grave, Daichi's twin sister, Nadeshiko, rolling her eyes at their childishness, but couldn't help the small, sad smile that grew on her face. Sayori blinked and looked at the group, giving them a look to shut up, and Daiki grinned at the scene that was happening before them, holding onto Ayako, his baby sister, closely. Chiyo held back a giggle as the group instantly shut up at Yuuki's stern, motherly, glare. Riku refused to shut up and opened his mouth to protest, when Akane, his twin sister, smacked him on the back of the head. He grunted and let out an,
"Ow!" Amaya shook her head at their antics.
She then remembered the way Zero held her close and a sad, yet happy smile flitted onto her face at the memory, "Believe it or not...you've managed to make me extremely happy, Zero..."
Today is the day the when the Furnace's Fire'll be put out and where Warashibe-San, whom was tired of her extremely long life, decided to sacrifice her life to bring Aliza back, as a Human. Jack originally was going to do it, but being an Aristocrat and not a Pureblood, it was impossible.
They headed back to the Academy after placing Bloody Rose onto the gravesight and into the basement, where Takuma let them in with a saddened smile, saying,
"It's great to see you again, Yuuki-Chan, Amaya-Chan. You and your children seemed to have grown up rather quickly over the years." Amaya gave a tired smile, saying with amusement,
"They're a handful, I'll tell you that much. How's Rima and Rina been?" He smiled, happy to talk about his wife and daughter,
"They're doing great, actually. Didn't you hear? Rima's expecting again!" His forest green eyes brightened considerably. Yuuki smiled widely, clapping her hands together, and exclaiming,
"That's wonderful, Takuma-Kun!" Amaya grinned,
"Congrats, now, tell us, boy or girl?" His smile grew even wider,
"It's a boy. We're thinking of naming him Tadase, but we might change it. Any news from you two?"
Riku groaned from behind them, "Great, more expectancy talk...Can't they just act like normal people for once?"
Daichi gave his half-brother an amused look, his green eyes glinting amused, "They are adults, Riku."
The ginger complained loudly, "But they look like teenagers! Do you know what happened whenever one of my friends meets my parents? "Hey, are you two related? Brother and sister? 'Cause you look a lot alike", imagine their shock when I tell them that they're the ones who gave birth to me!"
Daiki laughed loudly, his wine-red eyes narrowing slightly as he smirked, "Careful, now, Riku, don't want Amaya hearing you say that about her."
"She's busy gossiping about babies, it's not like she'll hear-"
"Riku," The red head froze, ice blue eyes widening in complete and utter terror, "sweetie, do Mother a favor and shut up." He stuttered, turning his head robotically to look at Amaya,
"Y-Yes, M-Mother, dearest. You-You know how much I love you..." Takuma shook his head in amusement as the other kids snickered, laughed, rolled their eyes, or said, "She told you so".
"Oh, by the way, Warashibe-San is already waiting inside." The cousins' nodded and headed down the stairs, finding that the bluenette was, indeed, waiting by a dead Aliza, who blonde hair has strangely turned dark over the years into a more brown color. Yuuki, Warashibe, and the kids' all watched as Amaya walked over to the woman whom she considers a Mother, tears pricking her eyes, and sat down on a sheet of ice that she was lying on.
"Mother...I'm back. Hanabusa," She started to explain, starting to choke up on the name slightly, "Kaname, and the others have finished the research they were working on. About time too, if you ask me," She laughed slightly, "It's be awesome if that "Medicine" could be used on you too...but, if we tried to retrieve your heart from the furnace, it wouldn't be able to wake you up or endure the effects...So..., Warashibe-San, remember her? The girl Dad had tried to use to make me Human, right before Zero regained his memories? Well, s-she said that she would h-help and-and use her life to make you Human...Kay? So-So, you should be grateful to her." Amaya stood up and backed away towards her kids, standing close to them as blood started to run down Warashibe's face. Yuuki quickly covered Ayako's eyes, the girl only about 12 in Vampire years, and watched as Warashibe slowly disintegrated, giving her life to bring back Aliza's.
"Mommy, Mommy, what's going on?" Ayako asked her mother, trying to remove her hand from her eyes.
"A Happy ending, sweetie." Yuuki replied softly, a small smile on her face.
There was a small groan from Aliza's body as she shifted, her chest heaving up and down heavily in attempt to get enough air, her Jade opening slowly.
Yuuki slowly removed her hand from her daughter's eyes and Akane commented in surprise,
"It actually worked." Riku lifted his head up proudly, stating with his hands on his hips,
"Well, of course it has! It was made by our very own Father of course!" Akane rolled her eyes again and slapped him in the back of the head,
"Stop being so egoistical; You didn't even do any work." Riku felt a blush cover his face from embarassment and argued childishly,
"Of course I helped! I brought them their food, I handed them the books they needed, I even wrote down some notes!"
Daichi felt a grin grow on his face as he walked in between the two, hands on their shoulders, and said, "Now, now, ladies, we can fight over who stole whose nail polish later. Right now, though, we need to go greet our grandmother."
Chiyo felt herself face palm, "Aye, yai, yai...Why am I related to those idiots?"
"Who're you calling a girl, Daichi?" Riku asked indignantly before faking a few tears, "I-I thought you loved me..." And then there goes their brotherly love act...Joy. Daichi instantly moved over and grabbed Riku's arm, hugging him closely and whispering softly,
"You know I love you, Riku...It's just...your so much trouble to handle sometimes, I almost can't take it..."
Sayori deadpanned, "Don't you have a girlfriend, Daichi?" Riku and Daichi pulled away, Daichi having a smirk on his pale face,
"Why of course I do. I've been engaged to Rei for quite some time now."
"And yet, even though you're the guy, she's always making you blush?" Daichi's face, which was an almost perfect resemblance of Zero, flared pink and her coughed into his fist, his long silver brushing against the sides of his face slightly,
"Th-That's not true..."
"Uh-Huh...I'll go tell that to Shiki Senri-San and his wife and see how they react."
Daichi felt his chest deflate slightly as his shoulders slumped, "If you do that, the press might find out and demand how I ended up dating a model... They'll want more than "Childhood friends" and all that...They'll demand a whole back story and everything!"
Amaya snapped, "Get over here already and great your grandmother, Riku, Akane, Chiyo, Daichi, and Nadeshiko!" She did a head count to catch their attention.
Aliza sat up with some trouble, placing a pale hand to her head, as sunlight blasted into the room. She squinted her eyes, the feeling of fresh air entering her nostrils and the nice feeling of sun against her pale skin.
"Welcome back, Mother," Amaya whispered, smiling widely, "Glad to see you back."
"Why is everything so bright?" She grumbled, bugged by the bright light of the sun. It didn't hurt her eyes as much as it used too, but it was still rather bright. Yuuki smiled,
"Because now you're a Human. Jack says, "Hello" and that "I'll be waiting for you in America."
EXTRA THE MEETING TWO MONTHS AFTER THE WAR OF CROSS ACADEMY
"So, it was something like that?" Yori, whose full name was Sayori, questioned sadly. Her bright orange hair went a little bit past her shoulders in waves, her brown eyes a honey color. "My encounter with them four years ago..."
"Oh..." Hanabusa said, saddened by his fiance's disappearance.
Yori continued, "But, I still think, when Yuuki left here with Amaya to go live with Souen-Sempai, it wasn't because they didn't want the people around them in danger, but because Amaya didn't have the courage to match Zero-Kun's resolute words, especially since she was with you, Aidou-Sempai, so..."
Takuma commented, leaning over to smile at Sayori, "Compared to that, Yori-Chan, you really became beautiful!"
A small blush gathered on her cheeks as she placed a hand against her face, flattered, "Oh, you think so?"
"Takuma..." Rima warned, giving her boyfriend a look. Takuma felt a sweatdrop start to form as he slunk back in his seat nervously.
"You can't talk her like that, Ichijo!" Hanabusa scolded Takuma, who asked curiously,
"Why not?"
"Yeah, why?" Sayori asked confused.
"B-Because he's already dating Rima!" Hanabusa argued, embarrassed slightly at how everyone took his statement the wrong way. He then placed a hand to his chin and thought aloud, "Now, they could've taken Kiryuu with them, or myself, since, I am Amaya's lover," He felt a proud smirk grow, "to drink from whenever they, or she, needed, but they didn't, so that has to mean..." He brainstormed for a few moments before asking, "That they're planning on keeping him as their own personal male prostitute for blood later on?" The thought of Amaya doing that, angered him, so he quickly added, "Though it doesn't look like he needs the money that much..."
"Yuuki would never do such a thing," Kaname stated, deadly calm. Hanabusa felt a shiver of fear prickle up his spine at his words and cleared his throat,
"O-Of course, Kaname-Sama, it was just a bad suggestion, please forgive me." Kaname said nothing, and nodded his head slightly. Hanabusa relaxed almost instantly, letting out a sigh of relief.
Barely dodged a bullet there...
"He changed the subject," Senri observed, a bored look on his face from his spot between Rima and Aiko, who sat next to Hanabusa, who sat next to Sayori, who sat next to Takuma, who sat next to Seirin, who sat next to Kaname. He caught sight of Aiko, who was opening an empty packet of blood tablets, hungrily. Her lilac eyes went wide in disbelief and she quickly bit her lip, wishing she hadn't run out. She felt as if she was going to attack someone at any moment, her throat getting incredibly dry, very quickly.
She, too, had gotten pregnant over the last two years, two years after her best friends vanished. Rima was last year...She still didn't have that much of a belly yet.
Senri blinked at her and pushed his sleeve up slight, before holding it out to Aiko, who blinked at it for a second, then him, then grabbed it gently and opened her mouth, revealing her fangs, and bit down, relaxing instantly.
"We understand you too well..." Rima stated, looking annoyed at Hanabusa, who ignored her and the other two.
"We understand..." Aiko commented, once she was done. Senri's wound healed quickly and Aiko lapped the remaining blood off of his wrist, before he pulled his sleeve back down over his wrist.
Senri then suggested, "Maybe Amaya didn't really like that kind of personality? ...But that fact that Kaname-Sama killed all of Yuuki-Sama's friends is a bit much as well..."
Kaname, the Pureblood King, gave Senri a slight glare. Senri noticed, but it didn't really affect him. Zero had walked in and was listening for a good few minutes now, and grew only more aggravated when Rima said,
"Anyway, no matter what, I've always felt that something was wrong with him." He wasn't sure if she was talking about him or Kaname, but he was still annoyed.
Yori placed an index finger to her chin, thinking aloud, "Is it because she's tired of him being a Tsundere?"
"Yuuki or Amaya?" Hanabusa asked, confused.
"Amaya,"
"I'll have you know, this is my fiance we are talking about, whose carrying my child. Besides, was Kiryuu ever gentle?" Takuma stated confused,
"I never felt like he was gentle..."
"He was very gentle," Sayori replied with a smile. Aiko nodded in agreement,
"He had his soft moments with both Yuuki and Amaya, it was kinda cute, to be honest." At this, Senri had an annoyed face, and commented,
"Can we not compliment other guys in my presence, Aiko?" Aiko, in response, merely smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder, wrapping her arms around his left one, saying,
"Hey, you know the only guy I love is you...Was that cheesy enough?" He could feel a small smirk work its way onto his face as he looked down at her,
"It'll work for now...but I want to expect a better response later tonight." She felt a small blush grow across her pale cheeks at his words. His smirk widened a fraction at her response.
"He was never gentle-He was never gentle, okay!?" Zero growled, annoyed. Hanabusa screamed in shock as stood up from his chair, stumbling backwards slightly,
"KIRYUU! WHEN DID YOU GET HERE!?"
"...When Wakaba started talking about the past..."
"It's really nice how he's not noisy like Hanabusa." Senri commented, seeming to dismiss Aiko's comment from earlier. He felt Aiko nod against his arm.
"Yeah," Rima agreed. Takuma gestured towards Zero and asked,
"Can you come closer, Kiryuu-Kun? We're having a get-together about the current owner of the ice coffin," He gestured to Aliza, who was a "Capsicle" behind him, "Is there anything Kiryuu-Kun would like to add?" He smiled as he turned his head to look at the coffin, "Today is a special day...to get together occasionally like this and to talk loudly is pretty nice too."
Just then the doors burst open and you could hear Yuuki's voice shouting, "I'm so sorry! I'm the one who invited everyone here today and yet I'm so late!"
"Yuuki, damn it, wait up!" Amaya shouted, chasing after the long-haired brunette, holding onto a pair of babies, while Yuuki held onto a single one. "I'm holding twins, I can't run that fast!"
"Wait!" Ruka shouted, alarmed, as she and Akatsuki, her boyfriend, chased after them, "Don't run! What if you drop the babies!?"
Everyone stood up, surprised, and some leaned over (Senri, Aiko, Rima, Takuma, and Kaname) to get a better look at them.
Yuuki smiled brightly at them, holding her baby, wearing a light pink winter coat. Amaya stood next to her, holding a pair of twins in her arms, wearing a coat identical to Yuuki's, only a light blue in color.
"Yuuki, if I weren't holding my babies right now, I'd slap you for making me run while carrying them!" Yuuki sweatdropped at Amaya's annoyed and exhausted face and turned to look at the rest of the crew, smiling brightly,
"And now, we present to you, our babies!" Yuuki's baby had dark brown hair, and bright wine-red eyes, yet not quite as bright as Kaname's. Amaya's were identical, minus the fact that one was a boy and the other was a girl. They both had dark skin like her, and her red hair. The boy's skin was a lighter color than girl's, and had ice blue eyes and the girl an emerald green. Their hair was also curly.
Hanabusa ran over to Amaya almost instantly and gazed at the infants. A warm, excited smile spread across his face as he mumbled to himself,
"I'm a father..." Amaya nodded, a big grin on her face, almost hardly able to believe it herself is she didn't have to go through the trouble of giving birth to them. You would not believe how agonizingly painful it, especially since she managed to have twins. He looked at her with a serious face, in her eyes, "You're a Mother..."
"Yup." She popped the "p" excitedly. "You're a dad..." He then realized and looked at Yuuki in shock, crying out,
"A KID GAVE BIRTH TO A KID!" He cried out, causing Sayori to "Shh" him, saying
"You'll wake up the babies!" Takuma stared at them in awe,
"Oooh...Rima, Rima, just think, one day we'll have a kid of our own." She gave him an amused look, but said,
"You still have to wait at least three years." He smiled down at her and said,
"I can wait." Yuuki pouted,
"That's mean, I'm already an adult and I'm as old as Amaya, so therefore, she's a kid too." Hanabusa walked over and placed his hands on her shoulder, telling her with an absolute serious face,
"I'm sorry, but I consider her more than an adult than you."
"Be nice," Amaya ordered with a smile, walking over, "And can you take the boy? My arms are falling asleep from holding them both." He nodded and awkwardly took the boy from Amaya, before realizing something,
"Wait, you never gave them names?" She gave him a look said,
"I'm not naming them without you, Hanabusa. Though, I was thinking about naming the girl Akane." He smiled down at the girl and looked down to his son that he was holding in his arms. To him, he couldn't be happier than that moment, as he spoke,
"I think we should name him Riku, Amaya, and to be honest," He smiled warmly at her, "I think Akane is a beautiful name."
"I think she's got Kaname's hair and eyes..." Senri commented and then looked over to Amaya's babies, "They take after Amaya more than Hanabusa, with their red hair and skin, but I think the boy looks quite a bit like you." He told him, "He has your eyes and the same nose and lips."
"Yeah, curly hair too."
"Her stiff facial expression remind me of Senri," Aiko commented, looking at Yuuki's baby. Everyone was crowding around Yuuki, Amaya, and Hanabusa, who were all holding the babies. (Poor Kaname, he's the father yet he isn't even allowed to see his own kid yet...:() Aiko giggled, "It really is Kaname's child."
"She's not as perfect as ours," Hanabusa stated proudly, huddling close to his children. "Riku and Akane are beautiful!"
Yuuki had tears stream down her face at the insult, "How could you!? How mean!"
"Yuuki...Don't take Hanabusa's words too seriously, it was just a joke." Akatsuki told her, "The baby is really cute. Besides, Hanabusa is the father to two children, so he's bound to find them better than yours." She nodded, seeing that he had a point, and stopped whining.
"I thought I told you to be nice," Amaya said with a raised eyebrow. He laughed before taking a few steps away,
"You did..."
"Can I see her, Yuuki?" Kaname's voice rang out and everyone froze, as Yuuki waved her way past them and towards Kaname, a smile on her face.
"Yes! She looks a lot like you, Kaname!" She presented the infant to Kaname who stared warmly at the baby. Kaname placed a finger against the baby's cheek and smiled,
"Yes...I suppose she does. What do you suppose we name her?" Yuuki's smile widened even more and almost seemed to shine with happiness. She cast her friend, Sayori, a glance before looking back up at Kaname and suggested,
"How about, Sayori?" Kaname looked surprised for a moment before smiling,
"Of course...Sayori is a lovely name, Yuuki."
Amaya seemed to remembered something and tried to find the silver-haired boy, finding him standing by the ice coffin, "Zero!" She called over, causing the boy to blink and walk over to her, "Thanks for coming..." Yuuki turned and headed over to Zero, Kaname trailing behind her,
"You're so busy, yet you still came, so thank you."
Zero reached a hand towards Akane, who grabbed his index finger with her tiny little hands, gurgling as she looked up at him with a small smile on her face. He asked her softly, "So...are you one of the two, who made Amaya attack me because you and your brother were hungry?" He felt a small smile grow on his lips. He looked up at Amaya, and couldn't help but to smile with her.
