The previous chapter was a short one. Well, shorter. This chapter may not be adrenalin-kicking-in like I hoped it would be, but just enjoy it.

Other than that, this story has about 30-ish chapters left until we get to the 100 chapter perimeter (I can't stop thinking about that XD) and when we do the 100 chapter perimeter, then the poll, that is up on my profile, will be closed. Once it's closed, this story will be finished and it will be time for a new story. And whichever of the characters that win the poll are going to have their story written first.

When I start writing the new story, I will start up a new poll and a new series of voting will begin. Whichever character wins that poll, gets its story written first. And each time I will do like this for a new story. So it's entirely up to you guys, I'm giving you a chance at choosing which story you'd like to read first and foremost!

So yeah, that's about it concerning how the poll works (and how the future polls will be working) and how the story posting is going to be. You've been informed completely. Any question will be answered by PMs.

Now to get on with the story! :D

"What are we going to do?" Nicole asked looked with wide eyes at her best friend. "She's not responding!"

Ironhide kept on pumping the oxygen. Her chances of survival were slim as ever. "Ratchet, how do I fragging make her breathe again?!"

"She's not beathing?"

"No!"

"Ah frag this! Keep pumping the oxygen, I'll hurry up Jazz and the twins!"

Ratchet opened a group comlink with the twins and Jazz. "Listen to me, all of you, remember the time when you two dumbafts used your healights and changed the color to blue and red and kept chasing humans?" They were imitating cops.

The others on the line smirked. "Yeah, we remember, why?" Sideswipe answered.

"Melissa isn't breathing and I need you to use those colorful lights of yours and put the pedal to the medal!"

"Optimus said we can't do that! It's against the-!"

"Do you want to listen to his orders or save a life?"

"But-"

"I'll take the blame."

"We can't ask you to do that." Sunstreaker rejected. As much as he didn't like Ratchet's ways of medical treatment and the way he spoke to them, he would never ask another to take the blame, especially when it comes to rejecting orders.

"You didn't have to, I've enough experience to know when to reject an order. Now hurry! She hasn't got a lot of time!"

"We can get there in 5 minutes, but how do we fragging get the machine back?!"

"Figure something out you dumbafts!"

"You're the doctor here!"

"I'm going back to the Lennox's, you better be there in the next 15 minutes or I will personally offline you for not getting there in time!" Ratchet made a death threat as he angrily hung up. He put on the siren and blared the horn, turning on the blue and red lights, speeding back to the Lennox.

"Primus help us here." Ratchet said to himself as he drove back.

XxXxXxXxX

"How does he fragging expect us to get the machine?" Sunstreaker said.

"I don't even know how it looks like. But if it means to save her life, I'll take any machine I can get." Sideswipe drove faster, Jazz and Sunstreaker accelerating so they could keep up with him.

"Turn on yer headlights! We're about to pass tha city!" Jazz said, turning on the blue and red lights on his Porsche. Sunstreaker followed closely behind him with one blue headlight and one red headlight on his Lamborghini Aventador alt mode. Sideswipe's darkly tinted windows said 'POLICE' all over them as the three supercars sped through the city.

They evaded cars quickly and swiftly until they reached the destination, a local hospital. They stopped in front of the entrance as a couple of nurses stood by an enormous metal box. Jazz quickly summoned his holoform in the driver's seat of his Porsche Turbo S, and rolling the tinted window down, he asked, "Is this ordered by doctor Ratchet?"

"Yes." The nurses nodded. "He told us to bring you some high endurance ropes, but I don't-"

"Thank you!" Jazz raced out of the car and snatched the ropes, attaching them to the heavy metal box and attaching it to Sunny, Sides and himself.

"Watch where you're putting that!" Sunny whined.

Jazz paid no attention as he got into his car, turned off the holoform and turned on the mighty engine. The three of them slowly rolled out of the ambulance driveway, dragging the box on the concrete.

"This isn't gonna work." Sides concluded.

"It has to." Jazz kept on pushing as he pressed the gas pedal. The car lunged forwards as the other two sports cars accelerated. Somehow they found a balance as they kept up speed.

"We need to get out of the city." Sunny said.

Even though Jazz and Sides were silent, Sunny knew that they acknowledged his opinion and agreed on it as well. They raced back to the Lennox's, dodging cars and trying to keep the box from hitting other cars and going off the road.

"We need to hurry!" Jazz yelled through the comlinks.

"150 miles an hour is not fast enough?" Sides inquired.

"These alts can go faster!"

As Sideswipe and Suntreaker argued, Jazz already pushed the engine harder. The Corvette V8 roared as the V12 in the back of the Lamborghini roared even louder, going faster.

In a matter of only 13 minutes, they managed to arrive back to the Lennox. They dispersed on the three random places, stopping the moving box immediately.

"I think my undercarriage is out of place." Sideswipe dully said. Ratchet holoform, immediately summoned up their arrival, ran to the machine, taking down the box walls and trying to figure out a way to get it through the door of the house.

"We need to take down the door." Ratchet said, summoning his holoform back inside the house.

"You can't do that. We don't have Will's permission." Ironhide answered. "And the sudden cold weather will kill Melissa."

"Which is why we need to get her to the upper floor."

"The room temperature is not set upstairs."

"Nicole, set the temperature."

"But Ratchet-" She started.

"Do as I say!" he snapped at her, like he never did before.

She nodded, knowing better than to retort, running upstairs to heat the room.

"Are you positive you want to do this?" Ironhide asked, looking Ratchet dead in the eyes.

"This is our absolute last chance. She needs this machine to breathe, otherwise it's over. All our work will be for nothing unless we connect this machine and these tubes to her and extract the energon from her."

Ironhide gave him a stern look. "This better work, Ratchet."

Ratchet dismissed him as Ironhide picked up Mel and Ratchet took the IV and the lines, the two of them went upstairs carefully and quickly, settling her into her room.

"Why is this room not heated?" Ratchet glared at Nicole.

"It takes time!" She bit back.

"We don't have time!"

"Then what do you want me to, Ratchet?!" She angered. "You think it's easy for me to stand here and do nothing, waste the time I don't have by waiting? Are you out of your goddamn mind?!" she was clearly pissed off. Ratchet wasn't appreciating her efforts.

"Don't yell at her Ratchet, she can't heat the room on her own. Be reasonable." Ironhide, finding common sense somewhere, said.

"Are you not sickly worried about her?" Ratchet glared at Ironhide this time.

"I am, more than you know Ratchet, but I don't show it."

"I need to inform Lennox of-" Ratchet said, starting to go downstairs to get the machine and blast the door.

"No need, I already called him. We have his permission. But he says we need to buy him a new door."

"Done." Ratchet nodded, disappearing from the room and appearing in the yard.

What he didn't not expect was seeing all of the Autobots' alts sitting in front of the house.

"You're… you all are here." Ratchet looked at them, surprise evident on his face and in his voice.

"It's good to see you too, old friend." Optimus answered, transforming, and everyone else followed suit.

"I need you all right now. Gather your holoforms and appear in Melissa's room. Ironhide is in there as we speak. Use your holoform's temperature to heat the room. We are in an emergency now."

The trained soldiers knew better than to ask questions, so they obeyed the doctor's orders, summoning their holoforms in her bedroom.

Ironhide was surprised but calmed himself immediately upon seeing every Autobot in her room. "When did you all arrive?"

"A few seconds ago, Ironhide." Elita answered. "Primus, what is with her?" she looked at her, sitting next to her on her bed, touching her arm, slowly warming her.

"She's in a very critical condition, Elita."

"What caused this?"

"Cancer and energon."

Elita quickly googled cancer, for she already knew the consequences of energon in human bodies. "It's a miracle she is alive, Ironhide."

"I'm aware of that." he looked at Mel once more.

A sudden, but muffled, sound occurred. It was Ratchet taking down the door. "Get this upstairs now!" Ratchet yelled as he suddenly emerged in Mel's room. "The temperature isn't set, Nicole what is taking so long?!"

"It's not me!" She yelled back.

"Don't yell at her, Ratch, she didn't do anything bad." Arcee backed her up. Nicole muttered a 'thanks' to her.

Ratchet glared at the two for a second before huffing, and taking over the machine, which Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Jazz were carrying upstairs. "Watch the cables!" Ratchet scolded.

They dropped off the machine in her bedroom. "Primus, she looks worse every day." Jazz noted.

"Can you just stop saying things that are obvious?" Ironhide warned him.

Jazz nodded as he used his holoform's warmth to warm up the room. "I don't think these holoforms have enough power in them to heat this whole room."

"Suggestion?" Ratchet said, carefully putting tubes and connecting them to Melissa's body. "Everybody look away."

They all did as Jazz continued talking. "I think we should get our real forms out and then heat the room."

"Use the power of our weapons to create heat?" Sideswipe suggested.

"Exactly."

"They don't cause harmful radiation to humans, right?"

"Right."

"Ratchet?"

"I'm done." He said, backing away.

They looked at him and then at Mel, as Ratchet moved over to the machine, pressing some buttons. "Can we use our weapons to heat the house?" Jazz said, as odd as it sounded.

"Yes, you have my permission. I'll inform Optimus of it. Someone wake her up. Ironhide." He looked at Ironhide. "Wake her up, she needs to dispose of the energon."

Ironhide moved over to Mel slowly, standing over her. "Mel, I need you to wake up."

Nothing. Sideswipe came a couple of steps closer, trying to help. Sunstreaker held him back with a hand. "Don't."

"Why?"

"He needs to do this on his own. She is his mate, after all." He said in a quiet and low voice, so only Sideswipe could hear it. He nodded as he stepped back along with his twin brother.

"Mel, just wake up." he, very gently, shook her into awakening. Her eyelids looked heavier than they normally would be and it seemed that as if with a great struggle, she managed to open them.

She looked so weak. So very weak.

Hide smiled at her, caressing her cheek. Her eyes wrinkled slightly, as if she was smiling back at him with her eyes. She was so happy he hadn't left her. So happy he stood by her side when she needed him most.

"I'm here." His forehead touched with hers. He didn't care that everyone was watching. He didn't care that even those who knew him as a war-hardened soldiers, now had a different opinion of him. He needed Mel to know he was there for her, more than ever. His hand trailed to her neck, nuzzling his forehead with hers.

"Everybody out." Ratchet took over the scene.

"But-"

"Right now!" he snapped.

All of the holoforms disappeared.

"Mel, I need you to pee."

It sounded so weird to him.

"As odd as it sounds, Melissa, you need to dispose of your bodily fluids now."

Hide moved away, but was still by her side, holding her petite hand in his. Her eyes drifted from Ratchet to Ironhide. "It's just me and Ratchet."

She kept looking at Ratchet. "What?"

"I don't think she wants you to watch her… pee." God that sounded so weird coming from his mouth.

"I'm a doctor."

Hide looked at Mel. "You have to."

Her eyes widened. She wasn't going to do it. "Melissa, I don't care if you are going to be embarrassed. Think about it, would you rather be embarrassed or would you rather be dead?" he wasn't anything if not brutal.

"Ratchet, you are fragging terrible."

"I am honest."

"No, you are a fragging two-bit for telling her this."

Ratchet disregarded him and looked at Mel. "Well? What are you waiting for? The tubes are connected, all you have to do is let it out."

She had no choice, so she subdued to it.

She peed. And it was blue. And it was yellow.

The liquids transferred through the tube, ending in the machine. The machine would store it in a bag that would be thrown later on.

Ratchet's face formed a smile. "Primus… It's working."

And that's all there is to it! Sort of, I've still to write DOTM!

So yeah, peeps, I hope you enjoyed this short-ish chapter, my fingers and hands started to ache while I was writing this. No pauses in this chapter. Which is why there is a huge lack of detail here, sorry about that. :/
