Wow. I can't believe I'm actually going to start writing Dark of the Moon. To me, it's the most 'complicated' movie, and by that I mean that so many things are going on in it and I need to keep track of everything. In which I hopefully will not fail. Because I have no idea where people are stationed in that movie, I have no idea what the names of the buildings and places in Chicago are named.
We are all doomed.
Guest: Explanation? Here you go:
- I didn't copy another author's work word-for-word nor did I copy or steal anything from anyone. I gave them the credit for their amazing work, so I didn't steal anything from them. In every chapter which even remotely looks like their work (or has their elements), I gave them credit for it. None of the dialogues are copied, none of the background story is stolen. I understand your 'aggravation', but as that was the beginning of the story more than a year ago, I needed a little 'push in the right direction' and have found it in the mentioned story. As the story goes on, I have let go of my 'Unforeseen' training wheels (Unforeseen is written by Erailea Evenstar - here's the credit again even though it's not needed) and the story went on, on its own course. The only similarity to the other author's story is the beginning of mine and then my story takes flight and goes on in the way that I wanted it to. And one more thing, because I was an inexperienced author then and Erailea's amazing story was in front of my very eyes, I had started my story in a similar way, and because of the aforementioned credit giving, I gave her credit where it was due. I hope this covered all of your questions. :)
So let's carry on.
3 days later… Mel's POV
We all had to pack. We all had to leave our home. Some had to do it years ago, some had to do it again and some had to do it for the first time. We would later come back here. Probably. I didn't know for sure.
I just knew that today was the day to go. To just up sticks and go. And I didn't want to. Not at all.
So I got ready. I packed everything I had and had Ironhide take it to his alt and put it in the trunk. We had a trunk cover luckily, so none of the numerous suitcases were visible. We literally had to pack everything from the house. We were moving to Illinois for a long time.
We were supposed to go to a newly built base in Chicago. The base was supposed to be masked, so that, in a way, it represented a Health and Human Services building. Just the term 'Human Services' would rise suspicion. At least to me.
Everyone was standing in front of the house. I was struggling not to shed a tear. This house carried so many memories and I didn't want to leave it.
So we were all standing in front of the house, in that front yard. I was standing next to Ironhide with my arms folded across my chest.
"Alright, listen up." Will said, trying to get our attention and to decide who was riding with whom, all the way to Chicago. A long 14 hour ride. "Sarah and Belle are going with Bee." He looked at the two of them.
"Why not with Ironhide? He has more space in his cab and Belle can actually sleep there." Sarah asked as Annabelle was already on her way towards Bumblebee.
Will shrugged. "It was her decision."
The Autobots were all in their real, humanoid forms. Bee snapped his fingers and transformed into his alt, the iconic Camaro. He opened the door and let Belle slide in the back of the car.
"You guys go first." Will said, moving on to the others. "I hope it isn't a problem for you, Nicole."
"Belle can go with whoever she wants, Will." She smiled. "If she wants to go with Bee, that's great."
He smiled back. "Glad you're positive. Well, you can go with Sideswipe."
"I think Mirage drives calmer than Sideswipe." She walked towards Mirage.
"You just got burned." Sunstreaker smirked. "And by a femme."
"Shut up." Sideswipe glared back at him.
"Go with Mirage then." Will said, thinking over who was left. "Mel, you're going with Hide and I'll go with Sideswipe. I gotta keep at least one of the twins in control."
I nodded at his decision. "I think Sides is less controllable actually." I smiled.
"He sure is. I'll go with Sunstreaker, he seems more mature."
"Why is everyone hating on me?" Sides asked, whining.
I climbed up into the passenger seat of the massive, black Topkick, with a smile. Ironhide got in after I've settled.
And only after everyone had settled in, Bee took the lead and started driving towards Chicago.
I brought up my knees to my chest, my right hand folded at the elbow, holding my chin, my head tilted on the window. I couldn't suppress the tears anymore. They streamed freely, with no intention of stopping. I cast one last look at the grayish house that was my home for so many years.
I would miss this place. I would miss my home so bad.
I felt a warm touch on my thigh. Without wanting Hide to see me all red and puffy, I just put my left hand over his. He ran gentle patterns into the back of it, reassuring me that everything was going to be alright.
I wiped the tears quickly, even though more and more of them were just coming out. They couldn't be stopped. I unbuckled myself and turned around to go to the back. The folded backseats from the previous nights stayed folded. I looked at the two story house in the distance, until I could no longer see it.
I could feel the hot tears just splashing on the black leather seats. I felt sorry for putting Ironhide through this, but I couldn't repress the feelings. There were just too many of them. And too many things happening.
It's always been one thing after the other. None of us were ever at rest.
I knew he was behind me. I could feel it. "You should concentrate on driving." I told him.
"I can't do that if my lady is disturbed."
I wiped my cheeks. "Aren't you chivalrous." I said sarcastically. "Really Hide, I'm not in the mood." His hand, or should I say his index finger, caressed my jaw line.
"I see that. And I don't want to sit and do nothing about it. Just tell me what's on your heart." He softly said.
And this time, I wanted to tell him everything. I just couldn't find the strength to do so. All on my mind was the house and every memory of it that I had. I couldn't let it go. I didn't want to.
He moved closer to me, enveloping me in a hug, even when I just wanted to be alone, as alone as I possibly could have been in a truck. "I know what it's like to move far away from your home. Without having any right to protest. I know it's tough." He looked at me in the eyes. "You aren't the only one that went through it."
I knew that. I looked down, bowing my head. It touched his chest.
"It's not easy, but it's bad when they are orders and you can't defy them. And it's even worse when they're not orders and you still have to listen to them." I nodded, finding comfort in his arms. "And besides, you will come back. I know it." I snuggled up close to him.
"You know so much." He really did know a lot. A lot about life, treating people and knowing how to do the right thing and all the right things to say.
"I was actually surprised you didn't throw a big fuss about it."
"I guess I grew up." I shrugged. He suddenly froze. But a second later he relaxed. "You okay?" I sat in his lap.
"I'm good. Have you stopped crying?"
I nodded. "I'm hungry." My hand drifted to my stomach.
His hand went over mine as he buried his forehead into the crook of my neck. "There is nothing to eat in my cab. I'll ask Sarah where she put the food."
I supposed he opened the comlink and asked her, because I could clearly hear her voice over the speakers in the car. "They're in the blue bag, on the backseats."
Now that I looked around, there were a couple of big blue bags in the backseat. I didn't even notice them. I moved from Ironhide's lap and on my knees, I crawled to the blue bags.
Ironhide drove over a deep hole in the road and I fell on my ass, but I didn't land comfortably. I landed rather roughly, despite the softness of the seat. "Ah." It slipped from my mouth.
"Sorry about that. You alright?"
"I'll be fine, my left hip hurts."
"Is it because of me?"
"You didn't do anything, you just didn't see the hole."
"Are you in pain?"
"A little."
"Primus, I'm such a two-bit." He smacked his head.
"Hey, calm down." I moved quickly, despite the protests of my left hip, to stop him from causing damage to himself. "I'm alive, so we're good."
"It's not just that, I should keep you safe. I can't believe I'm still failing at that."
"Who says you're failing at it?"
"I am."
"And who are you?" I smirked.
He looked at me, a little devilishly. "Do you want to know?"
"If there's a way." I winked. He leapt at me and I immediately knew we were going to play fight. I haven't done this since I was 10 years old.
I dodged him, my body rolling across the seat perfectly, just the way Ironhide taught me. "I see you haven't forgotten the skills I taught you." I jumped at him, but he didn't dodge it. He wanted me to land on him.
"But you have." I teased, pushing his chest down. "Now, you shall listen to my orders!" I imitated a bad guy's voice.
"I shall not." He smirked, flipping me to the side. I screamed a little, but only because it was fun.
"I am the superior one! You don't want to face my wrath!"
"Your wrath?" he started laughing heartily.
"Subdue to my orders immediately or else!" I had no smart comeback, so I quickly started to think of some.
"Or else what?" he mocked.
"Or else, I shall..." I quickly searched around the seats to find something. There wasn't anything useful to threaten him with. "Use this bag!" I picked up the blue bag, its contents falling to the seats freely, holding it like a victor. "You don't want to mess with the blue bag wrath!" I shook it.
"Oh, I'm so scared." He rolled his eyes.
I put the bag over his head, my playful side getting the better side of me, and I knew that his holoform didn't need to breathe, so it was all safe.
"Hmshmmshs!"
"Oh, I'm sorry, what was that?" I smirked, as the bag engulfed all sounds inside it, meaning Ironhide's voice.
He brought up one finger, and I knew that he was giving me one chance to run away. He always did that, even though we both knew there was no place for me to hide.
I kept strangling him playfully. Suddenly, the truck lifted on its front tires, sending me to the back of the cab.
"You're cheating!"
He took off the blue bag. "My time for torture." He smirked.
"I didn't even start torturing you!"
Seatbelts flew around me, locking into place. "True." His smirk grew bigger. "More fun for me."
"You're unbelievable!" I was annoyed. Well, if I was a robotic car I could certainly torture him with something else.
"I get that a lot." He said uninterestingly.
"I know you don't!"
"Pff, you don't know nothing." He winked.
"I know you're a cheater and that you are holding me against my will!" I tried saying something smarter, but nothing came out. Geez, where did all my vivid imagination go?
"If you're going to be twofaced, let's make one of them pretty." He smirked evilly.
Did he just call me ugly? I need a good comeback.
"I'd slap you, but that would be animal abuse." I smirked, raising an eyebrow, teasing and tempting.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't get that. I don't speak idiot." His evil smile turned into a small grin.
"Oh, I'm sorry, was I supposed to be offended? The only thing I'm offended by is your face." I stuck my tongue out at him, bringing on the face jokes.
His hands pinned me to the seat. "Did you do your make-up this morning, or did you just get gangbanged by Crayola?" he mocked me. I never heard him say these words, but it was damn funny.
"Oh darling, go buy a personality."
"If you can't laugh at yourself, I'd be happy to do it for you." He teased more. Just where the hell did he get these comebacks from?
I quickly thought of something. "Have you been shopping lately? They're selling lives back at the mall. You should get one." My knees were touching his chest as I brought them closer to me. I wanted to throw him off, even though I found this quite amusing.
His eyes drifted to my breasts. "Do you even wear a bra? You have nothing to put in there."
Oh, so now we're onto the lady parts?
"You wear pants, don't you?"
"Your village wants you back by 6 pm." He said, out of context.
"I don't know what makes you stupid, but it really works." I assessed his face.
God I loved him.
I stared at him. I had a comeback in hand. And I stared at him for a long time.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
"I don't know. Still trying to figure that out." I smirked, since he fell for the joke. "I'd agree with you, but then-"
He cut me off with a strong kiss to the lips. My legs were wrapped around his waist as my hands were still pressed against the back of the cab.
He broke the kiss. I made a grimace, I still wanted to banter. But he was done with it, I guess. Such a killjoy. "You suck."
He smirked.
Shit.
"And you swallow." His smirk grew bigger.
We'll I've just been owned.
"Oh God, it spoke!" I mocked, but it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. We were over the jokes now. "You've got some pretty good comebacks up your sleeve."
"I haven't seen this side of you in… ever."
"You make excellent quotes. For retards." I smirked.
"Don't make me call you names." He winked.
"I'd like to see you try." I tempted.
"Hey guys." Suddenly Will's voice filled the cab over the speakers. "Annabelle wants to ride with Ironhide so we're gonna stop by the road."
"Why are we delaying this?" Sideswipe whined.
"Shut it Sideswipe, no one asked you." Ironhide's voice echoed.
"Good comeback." I said as the cars slowly began to slow down and pull up to the side of the road. I could see Bee's door opening and Belle getting out. Hide opened the door as I tried to pick her up, but hadn't the muscle to do so. "Could you…?" I turned to Ironhide. He nodded and picked her up by the armpits, dragging her in.
"Mel!" she pronounced my name. Sort of. But I was glad she wanted to spend time with us.
"Hey sweety!" I laid back with her on the folded seats. "You hungry?"
"Yeah."
"Let's see what Sarah made here…" I actually forgot that I was hungry during mine and Hide's play fight banter thing. "There are sandwiches and water in this bag. Also some chocolate bars. Which do you want?"
"Chocolate."
"Are you really hungry?" I asked her. She nodded. "Then you'll get a sandwich."
"But I want a chocolate!"
"You'll get it." I took out the chocolate. "Sandwich first. Here, I'll eat with you."
And so the day turned to night as Ironhide kept driving steadily towards Chicago, which was almost a thousand miles away from our home. I wondered how I would adapt there.
As it was night time, Ironhide put on light music and heated the cab. Annabelle was asleep in no time. I covered her with a blanket and moved to the other side of the cab, letting her have her own space.
Ironhide joined me in the back of the cab, leaning on the door with me, our hands interlocked. "She's an angel." I said.
"Like you."
I turned around to look at him. My other hand drifted to the side of his face, laying on his cheek and bringing his lips down towards mine. There was just something special about him and his kisses. His emotions. And everything about him. I couldn't resist to not give him my attention, not that I had anything against it.
"I wish I could be with you forever." I smiled.
"You can." He said.
Well I hope you guys found some of the little comebacks fun or at least that they caused you to snicker. Or chuckle. Or any of the sort. I'm not that good at writing humor. XD
So yeah, you guys will be getting another update soon! :)
