I hate DOTM. I watched it again for a couple of times during these couple of days, and cried of course. Damn these feels. So God only knows how emotional the chapters will be when I write them, when the tragedies occur.

Guest: I see your reviews go around the early ones of this story. As I said before, that was when I was an inexperienced writer and I didn't even spell check my work, which is why you will find errors. Now, I don't think I have the worst grammar, simply because you have no right to judge me whatsoever. And in order for me to have a 'bad' grammar, that would mean that you are comparing me to someone. Yes, I did take English classes, did you? I know very well the difference between 'hauling' and 'hollering'. As for what school I go to, that will remain a secret.

The Warrior of Hope: I like your username! :D Glad you really like this story! Well, if I told you what it would be, then it wouldn't be a surprise?

SarahBloomSakura: Don't worry, no such thing will happen. ;)

Bee4ever: Thanks so much for reviewing every time I update! Ironhide's gonna have a hell of a time caring for his sparkling!

To my amazing reviewers who had not been mentioned here: Thanks so much for the support and reviews guys! As promised, I made a quick update!

Now , here's the 74th chapter guys!

"You and I both know I won't live long enough to see you grow old." I said. He would need thirty million more years until he could possibly start refusing to start up. The Transformers could be almost immortal, if they take good care of their bodies.

"Yes, but you don't need to see me rusted." He joked.

I was sitting on my right hip, my right forearm supporting my weight as my knees were bent, resting on the seats, tucked close to me. I watched Annabelle. She was still sleeping peacefully.

"You wouldn't rust. You have Ratchet on your side."

"As if that would help me." he said as I chuckled in return. He sat behind me and I laid back to rest on him.

I preferred the quiet now. For no reason at all. There was just something about me feeling perfectly content in a huge truck. My truck. I felt protected. Protected from the whole world.

His planted a kiss on my temple, continuing to talk, but in a whisper now. "If you want to rest, I'll go."

I shook my head, closing my eyes. The trip was long and tiring. "Just…" I yawned, "put on some light music and seat heating." I asked.

He did what I told him to do. I was glad he did as told. My hand rested in his as I used him as my pillow. He put on a slow and easy to listen to love song as I closed my eyes, moving around to make myself more comfortable.

"How much longer until we get there?" I asked drowsily.

"About 9 more hours, hon." He kissed my temple. I sighed. Time wasn't going to pass slowly.

I wanted to sleep so bad, but the rough road ahead of us had other plans. It didn't let me rest for the holes on the road were unbearable. It has been tossing the truck around. And I noticed that we were going considerably slower.

"Why are we going so slow? Feels like were going 5 miles an hour." I grouchily said.

"We are going 5 miles an hour." He said with a small chuckle, but I heard a hint of irritation in his voice. "Sunstreaker, Jazz and Sideswipe can't get over the holes that fast. Their alts are too low to the ground."

"Can't they lift them up?"

"Can you walk without touching the ground?" He did have a point. "Didn't think so."

I nudged him lightly. "Shut up."

"No." I chuckled this time.

I noticed that Annabelle had woken up. She yawned as she rubbed her eyes, rolling over and trying to sleep again. But she couldn't, we were moving around too much. "Mel…" I looked at her. "Can I go to mom?"

"Of course." I said, turning to Ironhide. "Can we stop so that she can go to Sarah?"

He was silent for a moment. "Yes. These two-" he stopped himself before he let a curse out, considering that Annabelle was present, "glitches aren't going to get over these holes any quicker."

The row of cars stopped by the side of the road after Ironhide sent his request through the public comlink. Hide helped Belle get out of his alt and back into Bee's. After he safely put her inside and threatened Ironhide that if she got hurt, he would scrap him, he got back.

Again Hide and I were alone in his alt, but neither of us had any kinky intentions, even though that was the first thing that came on my mind. I just wanted to relax as much as possible, considering this rough road was going to last for a short while.

"I can't sleep with all of these goddamn holes in the road."

"It's not easy for me either." He admitted. "It's not your suspension being put to the test."

"True, but I don't have a suspension." I smartassed.

"Then what do you want me to do?"

I suddenly got a not so bright idea. "Off-roading?" I offered.

He cast me a look. "You up for it?" he certainly wanted some action.

I nodded. "I hope my uncle approves of-whoa!" I didn't get to finish my sentence and he was already off the road and into the field.

"Ironhide!" my uncle's voice roared through the speakers as I was jumping around uncontrollably in the back of the cab, holding on for dear life on whatever I could find. "What are you doing?!"

"These three aren't going to make it by next sunrise, I simply sped up the process. For me." he smirked.

"Well don't go too far. We shouldn't split."

"Understood." He closed off the public comlink, as he got off the field and slowly drove on the paved road, ahead of everyone else. "Better?" he said, as he was perfectly still and I was lying on my stomach, being thrown around like a rag doll while he was having fun jumping around in the field.

"Much better." I groaned, slowly getting up. "But with a little more gentility next time, could you?"

He moved closer to me. "For you, anything." He gently touched my lips with his. He was so in love.

"You're an idiot." I grinned at his affectionateness.

"I please you and yet I'm an idiot? Remind me to never do such thing again." He mocked.

I shrugged, turning over to face him and let myself be embraced in his hug. "Suit yourself." I absently said. "This trip is taking too long."

"We haven't even covered half of the road we need to travel on."

I nodded. Other than the fact that I was completely tired, I was bored.

"Mel, can I spend some time with you? Sideswipe's being an idiot and his seats are uncomfortable." The radio resounded Nicole's voice. I wondered what she was doing in Sideswipe's alt, because as far as I knew, she was going with Mirage. I guess she changed sides.

"Yeah." I voiced back.

"What did he do?" Bee asked over the comlink.

"I didn't do anything, she wanted-"

"I'll tell you later." She said.

And soon, the row of cars stopped on the side of the road, just so Nicole could come into Hide's alt. Not that he minded, and if he did, I wouldn't let him kick out my best friend.

It was kind of strange that nobody, and by nobody I mean Sunstreaker, whined that we were constantly stopping, just for one person to trade places, or just move to another place.

As we were slowly starting to move again, Hide told me that we were out of the broken road, and what proved his point was Sunstreaker's aggressive and hard acceleration. He needed some venting, I guess.

"I swear to god, I will kill Sideswipe." Nicole said as she made herself comfortable, taking out a sandwich from the blue bag to eat.

"What did he do?" I asked, still sitting in front of Ironhide, his hand hanging over my collarbone in a little protective matter, but in an affectionate one nonetheless.

"I was trying out the buttons on the dash. And he didn't like it, so he, with his holoform of course, he started poking me."

"Why?"

"I don't know, I guess he didn't like me testing out the buttons on the dash, so he decided to test mine."

"Did you at least give him a beating?" I smiled.

She chuckled in return, "I threatened to set him on fire." She shrugged.

"Did it work?"

"A little." She tilted her head and showed me with the distance between her fingers, just how little it had worked.

"Better that than nothing." I said with another smile. "So wait, those things can cause fire?" I asked, referring to the energy spheres.

"Yeah, they're flammable." She said, but knew better than to bring up one inside Ironhide. He disliked those things highly. "Don't worry Hide," she patted the seat underneath her, "I won't scare you." She smirked.

"You don't frighten me." he said from behind me.

"Can I sleep over here?" I yawned.

"No." Nicole smirked.

"Maybe we should kick her out to go travel with Sunstreaker." Ironhide was the one who smirked this time, I could just feel it. Nicole's smirk faded from her face immediately.

"I wouldn't travel with him if he was the last man on Earth." She huffed. "He's intolerable… My paint, my interior, my this, my that… it's driving me crazy." She rolled her eyes. "I just wish that for one second he would be a normal guy. That he's not an asshole."

"Maybe he doesn't see his mistake and someone just needs to point it out to him?" I suggested. "He probably doesn't realize that what he's doing is wrong."

"You and I both told him, numerous times, that he should stop being so vain and selfish."

I thought about it. "Perhaps, he needs someone else to tell him that."

"What do you mean?"

"He dislikes humans, right? So, that means he is more likely to listen to someone of his own kind, rather than listening to us."

She thought over it. "I think you're right, actually."

I nodded. "I think he just needs a push in the right direction by someone he thinks highly of."

"Like Optimus?"

"I don't think we could ever make Optimus tell Sunny what we think. He'd probably tell us to find the courage and do it ourselves, in his own way I guess." I shrugged, leaning into Hide's chest as his other arm found its way around my stomach.

"Nah, if Optimus thinks it's really important that Sunny knows his limits, he'll tell him that himself." She said, finishing her sandwich, since she was eating while I was speaking. She threw the aluminum foil somewhere, and I just knew Ironhide would retort.

"Pick that up. You're not leaving junk all over my interior."

She grouchily got up, knowing that arguing with him would be pointless and useless. She crawled over to the scrunched up aluminum foil, crawling back to the blue bag to put it back in. "Happy?"

"Thrilled." He uninterestedly said.

After a moment of silence, Nicole spoke up again. "Isn't there some sort of pillow in this cab?"

"None that I could find." I said, closing my eyes and yawning for the god knows what time. "You can lay over my stomach." I suggested.

"Nah, I don't want my heavy head to keep you from sleeping."

"It's totally fine."

"Sure?"

"Nicole, you know me better than that." I gave her a look.

As she was starting to come closer to me, I was surprised that Hide had spoken up. "I don't think that's such a good idea."

"What?" she and I said in unison. "It's not the first or the last time she did this." I continued.

"I don't recommend Nicole sleeping over your stomach, Mel."

"Why not?"

"Ratchet's orders."

"Does Ratchet know something that I don't?"

"He knows things you wouldn't have ever guessed." He bowed his head and landed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"He and his medical skills." I rolled my eyes. "So where's is Nicole going to sleep?"

"Beats me." he shrugged.

"Ironhide!" I scolded as I moved away from him. "Can I sleep on my stomach so that she could sleep over my back?"

"No."

"Why?" I didn't get it.

"Because putting pressure on your stomach is not a good idea."

"Again, why?"

"Because Ratchet."

Ratchet. Ratchet was an excuse for everything these days. It was like a disease.

"So we're just gonna lye on our backs and stare at the roof?"

"Precisely." He smirked.

"Aren't you just a joy bringer." I scrutinized him.

He shrugged in return, moving to the front of the car to look like he was driving.

So what else could the two of us do? We laid back on the seats, side by side, talking to one another until she fell asleep.

I couldn't, for some reason, fall asleep.

"Hide?" I whispered.

"Hm?"

"I can't sleep."

"I can see that." he chuckled. "Do you want me to put on some music so that you could fall asleep easier?"

"Actually, I just wanted to tell you that." I smiled, still looking at the ceiling. I was exhausted and yet, I couldn't go to sleep.

He put on some song. I paid no mind to the lyrics, but the voice was smooth and lulling.

"This love has taken its toll, she said goodbye too many time before…"

I could feel his sudden touch on my hand. I knew it was Ironhide who came back from the front seat, so I calmed myself quite quickly. He seemed to enjoy the peace and quiet in the slow ride to Chicago. His hand ran patterns over mine.

I looked at him as he was looking blankly at my stomach. As if he could see something there that I couldn't. "You feeling okay?" I asked, turning my hand upwards, interlocking my fingers with him.

"I'm just fine." His face turned towards me with a kind smile. "You should sleep."

"I need a pillow, you know this." I smiled back.

He huffed, knowing what was waiting for him. "So that's my function now? Being your pillow?"

"Is that bad?" I asked, not particularly interested.

"Not if nobody but you and me know it." He grinned, leaning over to kiss me.

Another chapter is done and expect their travel to be over! There aren't that many things to do in a 14 hour trip, so we'll skip the rest of the boring trip and move on right to Chicago!

Maroon 5 – This Love

Yeah, I know some of you are against Dark of the Moon, but what has to be done, will be done. 'Nonnegotiable' as Sentinel would say it. God, I hate that guy. Anyways guys, have a nice day and until the next time I update, please give me some reviews! We actually passed the 500 review perimeter quite a while ago. Wow! Thanks so much for the support guys!
