Hey there fellas! How've you been?

I still can't believe 2013 has passed… where did the time go? I feel like 2014 will be just the same. I feel like the years are just going away, each one passing quicker than the other. At least, that's how it seems to me.

Another Guest: It's not particularly nice to call each other names here, but I will ignore your rude comment anyway. If you are going to watch my every move or when and where I put my apostrophes, be my 'guest' but know that your harsh and very close-minded opinion is not something I take lightly to reading. Besides, this isn't English class, Jesus, take it easy. Constructive criticism is what I can take, but pointing fingers and flames – I ignore. I don't have the patience of Optimus Prime, so know that this is the last time I will explain things to you this way. If you don't like this story, then why continue reading it? You keep saying you think this is a plagiarized story and yet you keep reading it? Your reasoning is beyond logical. And I am not hinting at writing DOTM, I am writing DOTM. Yes, not all people like it, but hey, it's like or leave it. Your choice entirely.

I have just one more thing to say before I continue writing this amazing 75th chapter, it's: if you remember the poll on my profile and how I declared that when that poll is finished, I will start another? Turns out, that won't be happening. Simply because doing that will take too much time (yours and mine) so it's best (for all of us) that I post stories on my own accord. Now, that doesn't mean that the poll you voted on my profile was for nothing. The winner of that poll will get its story, no doubt about it, but that could possibly be the last poll in which you will be able to choose your favorite character's story to be written.

This has gotten rather long. That's all I had to say for these Author's Notes. Now, let's continue:

I was gently shaken into the real world, somehow falling asleep on my back. Ironhide surely knew how to make both me and Nicole fall asleep easily. Putting on some light music, heating up the seats and driving lightly.

I yawned and somehow managed to open my eyes. I was tired as hell.

I was greeted with a kind face, and was surprised to see that it was Bee who woke me up. "We're here." He softly said.

I nodded as he gave me time to sit up. He got in the cab and kissed Nicole's forehead.

I watched him, while I was still trying to fully wake up. I always needed a minute or two.

"Wake up, sleepyhead." He said, his hand drifting to the side of her neck, caressing it. "Trip's over."

She yawned as well as she just turned her back, deciding to sleep longer. "Tired." Was all she said before sighing.

"Up." he said. "You don't want to be dragged out, this is Hide's alt after all."

She sat up rather quickly. "Alright, I'm up." she yawned again as he embraced her in a hug. "Where are we, anyway?"

Good question. "Chicago. This is our new base and you'll be sleeping here. Until your government gives you apartments."

"So this is like a temporary thing?" I said.

"Yeah."

"So what's this base called?" I looked out the tinted window. It said 'Health and Human Services'. "Aren't people supposed to go in here? It's health and human services, after all."

"Actually, this is an abandoned building. Your uncle had some people just put up that sign so that other humans wouldn't be inclined to sneak into it, being an abandoned building and all, homeless humans would use it as a shelter." He said.

"And how would you know this, Mr. Smartass?" Nicole smirked.

"Too much time spent around Ratchet, Ironhide and Optimus." He replied, but seeing as both of us were fully awake, he got out of the truck. "Out you get, we need help with transporting everything into the base."

"I'll take the luggage from the trunk." I offered as I got out of the truck and walked to the trunk. I opened the trunk and suddenly, a hand held my forearm, stopping me from helping.

"Not you." I was surprised to see Sideswipe holding my forearm. His touch was firm and gentle, and yet I still had no idea of his intentions.

"What 'not me'?" I was completely confused.

"Let me do this. You should take it easy."

"Why? I'm perfectly good."

Sunstreaker joined him, standing right by his side. "We'll do this. We're the mechs here." He said, giving me a sexy grin and taking out two heavy luggage bags and carrying them off into the building.

"You can look around, maybe find your uncle to show you around." Sideswipe said with a grin as he winked at me, dismissing me. He took some bags himself and vanished in the same direction Sunstreaker had.

I looked around, trying to figure out where exactly I was, and what were my surroundings. The building wasn't particularly good looking, it was old and dirty. I guess it was perfect for the team, because nobody on the outside dared come in.

I decided to follow the path where Sunstreaker and Sideswipe had gone, seeing as Bee and Nicole were off somewhere, I started walking into the building. It was huge, now that I took a closer look at it. It had an enormous parking lot, with a lot of cargo boxes outside.

As I got in, I was astonished. It was technologically advanced, to say the least. I haven't seen this kind of advancement in science, not even in movies. Everything was in shades white, blue and gray. Soldiers were stationed around and seemed to greet me with a respectful head nod. I didn't even know what my place here was.

I walked around, and behind me there was a mild rev. I turned around, startled a little, only to see Dino flashing his headlights, in a sign for me to move. I moved away as he parked onto his parking space.

I kept on walking, looking at the huge inside of the base. There were 'N.E.S.T.' logos printed everywhere.

But I recognized one thing I have never seen before. Sure it sounded quite odd, but Ironhide used to tell me about these berths the Transformers slept on. I saw one, recognizing it by its shape and form. It was huge, perhaps the kind of berth Optimus would sleep on. It suited his size, I guess.

"Mel!" I recognized my uncle's voice as I turned my head to the right. He came out from some hallway that led to the upper floor. "How are you liking this place?"

"Looks high-tec." I smiled. "So where are the rooms?" I asked.

"They're upstairs, come." He said, going through the same hallway he came out of and going up the stairs. We took a couple of turns and wound up at another hallway. On each side of the hallway, there were 3 doors. Six of them altogether. "These aren't the soldier's rooms, they're on the other side. This whole base is symmetrical. You just need to know that this is your side." He smiled. "Since you're the first one here, you can pick your room first. I'll go down to help Sarah and Belle get settled in."

"Thanks Will." I smiled, going into the second room on the left side. I wondered who my nearest neighbors would be.

I could hear his footsteps fading away, as I looked around the room. It wasn't anything special and I certainly hoped the government would give us better places to sleep in.

I felt sick, suddenly. Like I was going to vomit. It was disgusting. And the feeling just kept intensifying.

I quickly searched around the room, finding a door. I opened it and thankfully, a bathroom was behind it. I ran to the toilet, gathering the hair of my wig and holding it in my left hand. I could hear my intestines growling, slowly purging the contents of my stomach upwards. I knew what was going to come and it made me feel so sick.

And then it had come. The purging had come. I felt so disgusting, emptying my stomach contents into the toilet with a disgusting sound and smell.

"Mel?!" I could faintly hear Ironhide's voice as he ran towards me and crouched down beside me.

I felt a stinging sensation in my stomach. I could certainly use water.

I could feel my body shaking. Just as it had started, it had unexpectedly stopped. I fell down on my hip as Ironhide gave me the toilet paper. I wiped my lips and threw the paper in the toilet. I felt weak.

"What happened? Ratchet's on his way up." he flushed the toilet. "Can you get up?"

I stared at him. I wasn't in the mood to talk, feeling as if the moment I'd open my mouth I'd start vomiting all over the place. I nodded my head slowly. Sure I could get up, but did I want to? No.

"I'm here, what's going on?" Ratchet appeared and crouched down beside me.

"She purged the contents of her stomach."

"Ah, I see." He said casually and gave Ironhide a look. "Just take it easy and eat something."

Even though the disgusting aftertaste in my mouth was there, I found the courage to speak up. "No medications, nothing?" I was surprised.

"No, you just to sleep."

"I slept the whole trip."

"I meant on regular sleep. Sleeping in Ironhide's alt mode is not the kind of sleep you require. You have these rooms for a reason." He said as he got up. "If you feel any more nausea, just tell Ironhide. He knows how to deal with it."

"How could he know?" I asked.

"I gave him a datapad and he downloaded the data from it."

"So he's a doctor now, too?" I was in a bad mood.

"No, he just knows how to take care of your nausea." He said, disappearing into thin air.

"What has gotten into you?" Ironhide asked, putting his hand gently on my knees. I shooed it away.

I hated vomiting. Every time I did vomit, I was in a horrible mood and only sleep and food could heal it.

"Do you want me to-"

"Leave me alone?" I looked at him. "Yes."

"What's wrong with you?" he looked at me, so confused. "I didn't do anything-"

"I just want to be alone, is that too much to ask?"

"No, but I de-"

"Just leave me alone." I said, bringing my knees up to my chest. "I want to be alone."

He stood there, motionless, for a couple of seconds before he got up, casting me a look I couldn't bear to look at. I knew he was slightly mad at me. He had to be. I was an asshole when I least needed to be.

Talk about a fresh start.

Somehow, I managed to get up and out of the bathroom and laid on the bed. I couldn't possibly sleep. But at least I was alone with my own thoughts. I still had to figure out this whole base. It was huge.

"All humans and Autobots are to report to the Main Room."

I suddenly heard the radio in the hallway. That thing was loud.

Where the hell is the Main Room?

I got up from my bed and out of the room. I walked to the only place I knew beside this one, it was the huge room and the beginning of the facility, downstairs.

A lot of soldiers were in there, alone with the Autobots. I guess this was the Main Room.

"Alright everyone, listen up." My uncle caught everyone's attention. "We have registered Decepticon activity in Ukraine. Optimus Prime, Ratchet, I and a select few of soldiers will aid us in Chernobyl. You will be debriefed in two hours. Mission starts at dawn." He kept it short and clean. "Dismissed."

All of the soldiers returned to their duties, while I was lost in the crowd. I had no idea where to go or what to do. So I walked up to my uncle. "What are you doing in Chernobyl?"

"Investigating Decepticon activity, didn't you hear?" he said. Only now I noticed that he was in his military uniform.

"But isn't that too dangerous for just Optimus, Ratchet and what, 10 soldiers?"

"You forget that Optimus fought off 5 of the toughest Decepticons 4 years ago."

"And he got offlined in the woods."

"He kept Sam alive. Point is, with Optimus we are all safe. We aren't going there unprotected, Mel." He wrapped me in a one-arm hug and kissed my forehead.

"I just don't want anything to happen to you."

"It won't, trust me." he grinned.

I shrugged, trying to make this a playful situation. "Alright, if you say so."

As the soldiers were dispersed around the Main Room, the Autobot's holoforms had the mission of getting our luggage. I noticed Ironhide carrying the bags as he didn't even bother to cast me a look.

I should apologize to him. "Hey, I'm gonna go see if I can help Ironhide with the bags." I said as I got out of my uncle's hug and walked towards Ironhide, following him upstairs. He got into another room, most probably because he was carrying somebody else's luggage. On his way out, I crossed his path and stood at the threshold, not letting him go around me.

"You wanted to be alone, so now be alone."

I didn't have the same mood swing as I did minutes ago, but how could I explain him that? Sure, he could expect the mood swing from me, I was a quite moody person, but it wasn't right of me. He was just there to help.

"I'm sorry." I said honestly, looking at him in the eyes. "I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. You were just trying to help me and I pushed you away. I should have never done that. I'm sorry, Hide." I went for the hug.

He didn't reject it, and I felt truly relieved because of it. "You're forgiven, my love. I know you get your mood swings in the most awkward of times-"

I nudged him. "Hey." And scolded him, too.

"But I know they are nothing to be seriously worried about."

"Well, aren't you the sweetest thing." I mocked.

Before I could continue mocking, he pressed his lips onto mine. "No mocking the weapons specialist." He grinned.

"Oh, excuse me Mr. Veteran." I grinned back.

"How do you like your room?" he asked, taking me by the hand and walking me into the my room.

"It's primitive, I don't like it much." I said as we stood in the center of my room.

"Your government will give you all a better accommodation soon enough." He said, sitting on the bed. I sat along with him and put my head on his shoulder. "Are you doing alright now?" he asked.

"Yeah. Say, is there something to eat here?"

He just chuckled in return as both of us went out of the room, side by side, going to a part of the facility I hadn't had the chance to investigate yet.

Now, as some of you may have noticed by now, it's that Autobots are cautious around Mel, and not entirely because of her previous condition (cancer and energon poisoning). :) And we have officially begun Dark of the Moon with this chapter! You can see that because the beginning of the movie begins (obviously) with Chernobyl. I really hope I get this third movie right, because so far, it's the most complicated movie to me. Perhaps too many new characters and much action. :D

As always guys, I'd really like some reviews here!
