Chapter 14

Red smiled as he looked at Lizzie, she looked so relaxed and happy. They had finally made it to the private boat that would sail them across the ocean to the best and exquisite places to see on the island. The boat sailed across the sea and on this day Red promised that he would make Lizzie smile like this and make her happy every day.

Liz smiled at the sighs "Oh Red thank you for bringing me here. I know that when I first got here with you on this trip that I acted rude and tried to get away, but now I don't regret that we had this getaway together...and I thank you for bringing me here."

Red wrapped his arms around Lizzie and kissed the top of her head and then tilted his head to the sky "Your welcome my Lizzie. I understand that at the beginning you were guarded after everything that has happened to you. But now we have an understanding, and I promise to protect you and get the word out more that you are protected and with me."

Liz shook her head at that even though it was a nice thought "Red I do want to be with you but we need to keep this quiet. We are both now in danger and by getting this out this will all blow up at the end."

Red nodded "Of course just until we straighten out my business then we can go out in public between my people and the empire we run."

Liz sighed she knew that he didn't like the idea but it would keep them both out of danger and from being locked up by the F.B.I., Red then said "And you will go on and move into the apartment that I bought for you. It is in a protective safe area and one of my safe houses is not that far away," Liz was about to protest when Red put a finger to her lips and shushed her, "Don't argue with me on this matter, I want you close to me Lizzie."

Liz really didn't want to do this; she didn't like Red buying her stuff. But she just reached across and kissed him "Alright Ray but you got to agree with me on the matter of you not going alone on dangerous situations. I will go with you on some of your meetings."

Red was about to protest but stopped, if this would get his Lizzie closer to him and this was a great idea to get her more protected if she knew the business "All right Elizabeth."

Time seemed to fly by for them both pretty soon they were at the private air port. Liz smiled at the scenery of the island "One day I want to live somewhere like this away from the city life. I enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of the beach, and the island was a nice touch with all of the sights."

Red wrapped himself close to Liz a glass of scotch in his hand. He knew that from now on wherever Lizzie wanted to go he would "Wherever you want to go sweetheart I will give you that."

Liz smiled at Red and squeezed his hand, she knew that this soothed and calmed him down and also was a way to communicate that she was with him no matter what. She then made the statement they both knew was unavoidable "Well better go face the music."

Red sighed he didn't want to go back, wanted to take this plane with Lizzie on it and go somewhere far, far, far away from here. The F.B.I. will never find them wouldn't have if it wasn't for his goal to protect and be with Lizzie "Together...we are stronger together."

As the jet flew to D.C. Liz felt nervous but with Red's hand in her she felt stronger and no matter what happens they were together in this.

"What's the worst that can happen."
