Chapter 15

Liz and Red where enjoying a glass of champagne, probably their last if this whole ordeal goes downhill. Red tried to comfort her by saying "We have no reason to be worried Lizzie, I know how this is going to play out."

"How can you know what's going to happen to us...I could lose my job, there would be no immunity deal for you or for me, mostly you Ray. Because I would get locked up for helping and abiding a criminal escape and then going on the run with you," with that part Liz looked at Red and took his hand, "But I wouldn't take this week with you away for nothing...I love you Ray."

Red smiled at that and kissed the top of her head "I love you too sweetheart."

The moment was interrupted by Dembe knocking on the door and walked in "Sir we have just landed, the F.B.I. has surrounded us and blocked us in, and I'd say that half the agency is out there."

Red nodded to Dembe and got up and patted Dembe on the shoulder "Thank you Dembe, tell the F.B.I. I'll be out right away, and Dembe protect yourself."

Dembe nodded and nodded to his gun "I'm prepared Ray."

With that Dembe walked out. Red held out his hand to Lizzie, Liz smiled at Red and gave him his sunglasses and fedora. Red gave a deep chuckle and put them on with that they locked elbows "Let's face the music."

Outside they were surrounded by locked and loaded F.B.I. agents. In the very center was Ressler and Navabi, Ressler said "Agent Keen come with us now and no harm will come to Reddington or you."

Red reached for his gun and Lizzie saw this and grabbed Red's arm to stop him, when she saw Ressler go for his "Ressler there is no need for this, we came back willingly...now do what you must at the Blacksite, but then can I go back to my job?"

Ressler raised his hand and all of the gunmen dropped their raised guns "This way."

Navabi put handcuffs on both Red and Lizzie "Must we do it this way," Said Red.

"We don't want you tow to get away or together," he turned to the gunmen and said "Put them in separate transportation and put more guards on Reddington."

Navabi then said to Liz with a sorry expression "You are already under suspension for running away," she then whispered to Liz, "Me and Aram believe what you told Ressler on the phone, you're not that type of person."

Liz smiled at Navabi "Thank you for believing me."

"Move it!" yelled Ressler.

At the Blacksite

Ressler nodded to the guards who escorted in Red and Lizzie "Put them in separate interrogation rooms."

Liz stiffened at that, what if they took Red away from here and she would never she his smiling laughing face, and that expression that he seemed to have only for her. But Liz was brought out of her thoughts as the guards led her in the opposite direction.

Liz heard from Red say "Lizzie it'll be alright, you'll get your job back and I'll see you later."

Soon Lizzie was all alone chained to the chair feet and hands, she just had enough room to stand up if needed. She then looked up at the cameras and glared at them and yelled "Don't you dare hurt Red! He protected me, I almost died and I needed a vacation, I was injured really badly, Red took me there for a full rest and recovery."

"We'll be the judge of that Mrs. Keen," said her boss Harold Cooper.

Liz smiled and stood up for him and tried to meet up with him across the room but was cut off by her restraints "Good to see you again Harold."

"You too Elizabeth, now let's get this out of the way, so things can be as usual."

"Would you believe my story Sir?"

"We shall see Mrs. Keen, we shall see."

The guards set her up with a polygraph, lie detector test. She really despised that she had to go through this again remembering the first time she had to take this when she first started working with Red and the F.B.I., but anything to prove that she was innocent of everything her and Red had done.

The questions went as usual at any interrogation "Where did you go?" "Did you go on your own free will?" "Did you help Raymond Reddington escape the country?" "Did you get involved in any illegal activity that has been reported or not reported?".

"So tell me why Reddington thought it was a good idea to leave with him across the country and have no contact or information with us? Or when you will get back?"

So Liz explained everything about what Berlin did, how Red helped her out with surgery, how Red took her to an island to recover. Leaving out the part about how Red got her there. She didn't want Red to get locked up for any reason.

"OK Elizabeth thank you for your cooperation, you'll be out of here in no time."

"What about Red?"

"We'll match his answers with yours, the immunity deal will stand."

Liz nodded and settled down, Cooper left and Liz was left alone hoping everything will work out in the end.
