-Gravity-

Summary: When you fall you can't blame gravity. You can't fight it either. The first time we fell, we were 11 and didn't realize it. Carefree and proud. We never imagined that a catastrophe would happen in our time. But it did. In reality you can't get angry when you keep on falling, because some things are meant to be that way, you just have to do the best of the worst. Gravity don't mean too much to me, I 'm who I've got to be. Follow the story of the other side of Harry Potter and Wizard War II and you'll se that we all hurt, laugh, live, died and love.

Second year: Chapter XIV. The last night

"And there are no tears

Just pity and fear"

Death Cab for Cutie – Pity and Fear

A pureblood. A pureblood had been snatched by the Heir. True, the Weasleys were not know in the high and rich circles, and they were mostly considered blood-traitors, but that didn't rule out the fact that they were one of the sacred twenty-eight. And the youngest had been snatched.

In Slytherin common room nothing else was being discussed. Some were only half preoccupied because the Weasleys were blood-traitors. Others seemed scandalized about a pure-blood being attacked.

"Everything went wrong when The Heir attacked someone that wasn't a mudblood." a voice said over the scandal.

"They are blood traitors!" another voice went.

In their usual couch Theo, Blaise and Victoria looked between the quarrelling voices. Victoria hummed deep in thought.

"Wonder what is like?" She said quietly, picking a plate full of sweets and placing it in her lap. Her small hands shuffling around the packages and empty wrappers.

"What piccola?" Blaise said. The girl took her time, opening a pumpkin pastry and munching a corner.

"To have brothers or sisters." The boys shook their heads; the three of then were only children after all and couldn't really empathize with Weasley. In their minds they could picture clearly the face of total distress of the redhead idiot still remained.

"No idea fechan." Theo said quietly and took a bite of the pastry that Victoria held. She scoffed at him. Blaise smirked and plucked the rest from her fingers, eating it in one bite.

"Theo! Blaise! That was the last one." She said, pouting a bit. The boys smirked at her. She huffed. "Do you think they are going to tell McGonagall?" Victoria asked a little distracted, looking around the bowl again.

"Who?" Asked Blaise looking at Vincent and Gregory praising the heir. Theo rolled his eyes.

"The Gryffindorks." Victoria deadpanned at the Italian.

"Of course they will. Or try with Lockhart." Blasie answered with a wave of his hand. Victoria snorted and looked at him.

"Even so, what hope is there for the girl?" She said, looking at the boys with sombre eyes. Theo shook his head with sincerity. They knew, close to zero.

"In any case, will the school be open tomorrow?" Blaise said, leaning back on the couch and closing his eyes.

"I don't know." Theo said, settling himself against the armrest. Victoria gave up the sweets and placed the bowl on the table again. Smoothing her skirt and interlacing her fingers in her lap.

"Lockhart is very incompetent. I wonder if he's going to do something." The girl stated, her violet eyes fixing sideway to both boys. Green and honey golden eyes meeting hers. Victoria sighed and curled her legs underneath her.

"We'll just have to wait." Theo said with finality. Victoria nodded.

"Tomorrow will bring new things." Blaise added.

"Hermione is going to be awake tomorrow." Theo pointed out quietly. Victoria nodded.

"I know." She said simply.

"Are you worried piccola?" The girl shook her head. And then added vaguely.

"It's been a nightmare." Victoria leaned back on the couch. She fixed her handkerchief around her head. "And now it's over. I'm gland she'll be ok."

"Yes." Theo mumbled and placed an arm around her shoulder. Blasie looked at them, his eyes blazing in the fire. He took a deep breath and settled back on the couch.

Tomorrow the clock will move again, and lost time will never return. Tomorrow things will never be the same again.

Slowly, the hours dragged on. Victoria fell asleep on Theo. The Welsh boy had also fallen asleep, his head resting on the back of the couch near Blaise's own head. The fire was burning low, casting eerie shadows over the furniture and walls. The faces on the portraits and photos were quiet, submerged on a deep paper dream. Outside the underwater windows, the lake floated in continual darkness, nothing moving on the cold waters. Some students were still talking in whispers on the couches, others had fallen asleep. Many had taken refuge in the dormitories. A girl form first year had broken down in panic tears and had to be escorted to her room by a perfect and a group of worried classmates. The silence broke when the stone gate opened and Professor Snape walked in. His face impassive but somehow relived. Tristram Bassenthwaite, a fifth year perfect that was sitting on an armchair near the door, jumped to his feet.

"Bassenthwaite, wake everyone up." Professor Snape whisper slowly. "The Headmaster is back and apparently, everything has settled down. There's a feast to celebrate." Tristam nodded. The news spread like fire around the common room. The rustled of clothes and yells echoed in the dungeon.

So far, no feast has been like this one. Almost everybody was in their pyjamas, and the celebration lasted all night. Not everything was cheer and joy for Slytherin as Potter and Weasley four hundred points securing the House Cup for the second year running for the lions. Even so, they joined in the celebrations when Professor McGonagall told them all that the exams had been cancelled as a school treat, and at Dumbledore announcing that, unfortunately, Professor Lockhart would be unable to return next year, owing to the fact that he needed to go away and get his memory back. Quite a few of the teachers joined in the cheering this last news.

And Hermione had been revived. She had meekly poked her head inside the Grate Hall and seconds later she was pushed inside by a laughing Turpin. The Gryffindor pulled the Ravenclaw along the tables. For a second Hermione looked across the room and crossed her brown eyes with the grey of Draco before adverting her gaze and looking towards her table. Hermione was quickly pulled into a collective hug by her house mates, disappearing under a flurry mass of cloth, arms and laughs.

Victoria waded off the uneasiness that settle in her throat and continued laughing and chatting in the Slytherin table. The questions of Theo and Blaise were ignored and Draco's anger dismissed quickly. Morning, everything had to be hold until tomorrow.

Tomorrow came and went. It was a sunny day, a free period for the Slytherins, the absence of DADA was a blessing. Victoria's boots clicked and echoed in an empty corridor, her face half hidden behind a black handkerchief. She hummed a pensive tune and stared outside the windows, halting her hurried steps. The sunshine pouring inside the castle warmed her skin softly, slowly but surely. She rested the tips of her fingers on the warm glass. Funny how everything seemed brighter and cheerful now that the danger had passed. Her violet eyes fixed on the reflection on the window and turned half of her body around.

Hermione was looking at Victoria expectantly. The Spanish girl smirked and the brunette girl sighed.

"Hello." The Ravenclaw said quietly. The Slytherin nodded at her. "How had you been?" Victoria almost snorted.

"Good. Eventful." She answered simply, her fingers tracing the windowpane. "And you?" Hermione shifted in her feet.

"Kind of dizzy, disoriented." She mumbled. "One second I was outside the library and then I was waking up in the infirmary." Victoria sighed.

"I'm glad you are ok."

"Yeah." A few seconds passed in silence. The bell signaling the end of the period chimed. A floor above them the sound of loud voices, yells, laughter, of footsteps, doors opening and closing were heard. "I'm saying goodbye." Hermione finally blurted. Victoria turned sharply at her, her violet eyes wide.

"What?" She hissed. Hermione blushed slightly but looked at Victoria straight ahead.

"I…" She took a deep breath. "Sooner or later they'll know." Victoria frowned and opened her mouth to speak, the brunette shaking her head. "And then, they'll hate me. Hate me so much, so I figured out…" Her voice cracked slightly. "That we better be apart before that, so when they find out it'll only sting." Victoria clenched her fist and snarled at the girl.

"And running away is the answer to everything!" Hermione was taken back, before frowning at the Spanish girl.

"It will the best for everyone!" She said with a strangled voice.

"It will be the best for you!" Victoria turned to the window again, breading deeply. "Si, (yes) go. Who I am to keep you here? Who are we to care?" Hermione mouth opened to retort. "Goodbye Granger." Victoria said icily and turned around, her footsteps lost on the sea of sounds. Hermione looked at her until she disappeared around the corner.

Victoria returned to the dungeons, silent and angry. She told the boys that Hermione and her had fought, the brunette was to blame. The Ravenclaw was now apparently hanging out with her house and the Gryffindorks. The boys looked at her shocked but didn't say anything. Each busy digesting the facts.

Soon the news became old, and the Slytherins focused in enjoying the end of the term. Draco was prone to sulking because Lucius had been sacked as a school governor. Stupid, annoying mudblood lovers he kept spitting when provoked.

They journey back to London passed on a blur full of sunshine and sweets. Soon the scarlet train slowed to a stop and they began pulling their bags and trunks out.

Gregory and Vincent were the first out, grunting goodbyes to the rest and looking for their parents. Draco spotted his parents next. Victoria, Blaise and Theo waved at Narcissa and Lucius and wished good summer to Draco.

Victoria tiptoed to look around, her head barely going above the mass of people.

"Trouble piccola?" Asked Blaise. Victoria snorted.

"What us to look for you?" Theo said, smirking. Victoria eyes narrowed.

"No." She turned around, pulling her trunk. She stopped and looked back at the boys, placing her trunk down. She walked back to them; she tiptoed again and pulled Blaise down. The Italian looked taken back. Victoria smiled and with her other hand pulled down her handkerchief and placing a kiss on his cheek. The Spanish girl then turned to Theo, quickly jumped to his side and placed a kiss on his cheek too.

"Happy summer!" she said and turned around, picked her trunk and walked towards the placer her father and house elf were waiting.
