Hello there, fellow readers. Long time, no see. Soon, Dark of the Moon will be over with, but rest assured, it's not the end of the story. That 100 chapter perimeter that's going on in my head for months now is always at the back of my mind while writing this story, so I'll most probably (or definitely) end this story when I reach that 100 chapter perimeter and just be done with this whole thing.

Also, since this is the 88th chapter, did you know that the number 8 in China is a considered a lucky number? Consider this chapter somewhat the luck bringer or whatever. Maybe something good will happen in here. :)

And I want to thank you so much for passing the 800 review perimeter. It means a TON to me!

I think we're ready to continue on with the story! :)

"You ready?" I said as she took a step towards the edge, the men in the suits holding her, keeping her from falling. She nodded, determined to try.

She brought up her hand, palm up and brought up an energy sphere. Everybody stared in awe at it, but I was used to it. "I can do this." She said to herself.

"You can do this." I repeated, filling her with hope. She pulled her palm up vertically, pointing to where the bridge light was. "Take your time." I said calmly, even though all that I wanted to do was be hysterical and cry for Ironhide. Once I had to retell Nicole what he told me, it surfaced a whole bunch of memories, good and bad alike, which I didn't need penetrating my mind. Not at this moment.

She brought her head up, eyes snapping open and inhaling loudly, lifting her hand up higher to get a better aim of the light. "Here goes nothing." She said as the energy sphere grew louder and fled from her hand, straight into the light.

She put her hand down and rotated her palm, trying to move the energy sphere around.

But she didn't hit the light. We could all see that it wasn't heading for it. And just as her shoulders were slumped and she wanted to just turn around and go away, we saw the sphere crash into the building, very close to the domes that held the pillars. A great amount of the building's structure crumbled down as we all stared at it.

"You almost got it!" I enthusiastically said, hugging her tightly. "Can you give it another shot? It would take down the pillars."

"I would, but the spheres drain my own energy. I'm not feeling so well. I never do after using too much energy at once."

I nodded in understanding. "Do you need to sleep or something?"

"How do you imagine me sleeping after I blew up half a building?"

"Good point." I said as I nodded to the men behind us, who slowly and safely pulled us to the center of the roof.

But then we heard a huge booming sound. It was the sound of a Cybetronian blaster, but not a smaller sized weapon. At least with Ironhide, I could tell the differences between the sounds different weapons give out while shooting. This was no toy to play with.

I hurried to the edge, already accustoming myself to the grip of the men, whose only job, by the seems, was to hold us from falling.

I whipped my head around, trying to find the source of the sound.

And when I turned to my left and looked down, I saw a scene that I could have never thought of.

Megatron coming to Optimus's aid to defeat Sentinel.

Wow.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have possibly imagined this happening, and there it was, right in front of my very eyes, although from a huge distance.

Megatron grabbed Sentinel and threw him fiercely onto the bridge rail, where he punched him hard and kicked him to the ground. Megatron was no easy opponent and to see his sheer mass and power was awing, but scary.

"Dear God…" I heard somebody gasp behind me as I turned around. I saw pale faces staring at the sky. I looked up as well.

Cybertron was closer than ever. If somebody doesn't do something soon, we're dead.

And then a blinding flash of light caught me by surprise. I shielded my eyes by turning my head to the side and shutting my eyes. The men in suits pulled me back as my eyes quickly adjusted when I looked at the scene in front of me.

There were so many lightning bolts connecting Decepticon warships, on Earth, with Cybertron. They all started to ascend, like they were being pulled to Cybertron. I stared at it with my mouth open and eyes the size of saucers as I felt a sudden wind blowing at me. It must have been from the force of the pulls.

And just as those Cybertronian machineries got out of sight, the light that was connecting the pillars on the dome building, suddenly started to vanish, like it was travelling to Cybertron itself. That's when an blue and orange light could be seen on Cybertron, that's how close it was to us. But then I saw something I never imagined of seeing.

A planet imploding.

It was miraculous. Sad and miraculous, but I felt relief. Relief that the Decepticons had nothing to protect or conquer. If there were any more Decepticons left to begin with. The battle had stopped. No gunshots could be heard, no explosions occurred. But I was also sad that the Autobots had nothing to go back to. They were homeless. And all they had now was each other.

But that wasn't the only thing that was keeping me on the edge. I was nervous. Very nervous.

The final battle was going to happen. And only one of those three was going to get out alive.

The duel of the titans.

And that's when I saw Optimus jump towards Megatron, throwing his axe straight into Megatron's chest. He rushed to him, pulled it out and kicked Megatron to his knees. And that is when I saw a horrible scene.

Megatron swung his leg under Optimus's feet, making Optimus fall badly on his back. He stood there for a second, before trying to get up. In that time, Megatron had taken the very axe Optimus used to hurt him with.

I stared at them with my mouth hanging agape and my heart racing. If Megatron kills Optimus, this is over. All of their efforts, everything they did… it would all be over.

I can't let that happen.

And thankfully, I wasn't the only one thinking like this.

At the very same moment, Nicole appeared by my side, electrifying a sphere from her hand and throwing it with precision accuracy at Megatron. I stared at her as she had that determined look on her face. But it wasn't just determined. It was brave and loyal.

I looked back to where the sphere was going. It managed to hit Megatron straight onto the crook of his neck, making him yell out and grip his neck. I could see his piercing red eyes all the way from the ground to us and it was frightening. It was like he was going to come for us after he had finished with Optimus.

But as he was distracted by Nicole's energy sphere and his shoulder sparking, Optimus used that moment to pounce straight onto Megatron, sending him to the ground. The Prime delivered an attack with his forearm, jabbing it straight onto Megatron's chin, getting him off balance. He took the axe from his hands and stabbed it just under his chin and turned around him, keeping a foot on his back and pressing him down to the ground, but at the same time pulling the axe.

He managed to kill him. Megatron died by decapitation.

But the moment of victory was short lived, because Sentinel took up the opportunity to stand up. The two seemed to talk and then Sentinel brought up his canon. Another treacherous move.

He was going to shoot Optimus.

No.

I looked to Nicole, who was being held for support by the men in suits. That last energy burst she set out to help Optimus defeat Megatron has taken its toll on her body. She looked weak.

I was caught in the middle.

Would I choose seeing if Sentinel was going to kill Optimus or would I choose on seeing whether Nicole was alright?

It wasn't an easy decision and I picked the latter.

I turned around and rushed to her. As she was holding on to the man in the suit, I touched her forearm. She tiredly looked up at me."You okay?" I asked.

Just as she opened her mouth and was about to answer me, two deafening gunshots could be heard, reverberating around the city. She and I looked at each other straight in the eyes. Even if the shots hit either Optimus or Sentinel, neither could survive. They were both badly injured.

I was afraid to go back to the edge and see who was the victor and who was the one who would remain dead, for all time.

If Sentinel was dead, that would be good. Ironhide would be avenged and I could sleep peacefully.

But if it was Optimus on the gun's end, then things would be very different. We would all be enslaved and it would definitely be the end of the world.

I prayed it wasn't the latter. I prayed with all that I was that Optimus didn't take the bullets for the sake of mankind, for the sake of us all.

As I took Nicole's hand in mine, I felt both of us slightly trembling from fear and anxiety combined.

I prayed things wouldn't end this way. That there were no more Autobot casualties. That there would be no more death. That there would finally be peace.

She and I, hand in hand, walked slowly towards the edge of the roof, no longer needing help from the men in black suits.

I peeked over the edge, and so did Nicole.

I could only see a red and blue robot with a missing arm.

Could that have been Optimus?

"You hear that?" Nicole asked me.

"Hear what?"

She pointed with her finger towards the beginning of the bridge, where the Cybertronian with the missing arm was standing on. There was a specific yellow muscle car swiftly, but slowly driving to the bridge.

I could recognize this car anywhere I went. And only now could I really hear its beautiful exhaust note.

Bumblebee, with a lot of scratches, dings and dents, was slowly driving around the group of soldiers who were going to meet on the same bridge. He opened the passenger door and a human came out.

I felt Nicole's grip on my hand intensify. "Look at him, Mel." She said, as if she was proud of him. And she definitely should have been proud of Bumblebee. "He's here. He's alive." She said, hugging me. I could feel her pain and anxiety and now it was all over. I finally understood it now, that the Cybertronian with the missing arm was Optimus. I knew that because, if it were Sentinel, the soldiers on the ground would have started shooting and Bee wouldn't have been driving carefully.

I hugged her back, as I felt her tears slowly falling on my shoulder. "It's okay. We won." I said as I slowly pulled away from the hug. "We made it." I said with a smile and tearful eyes. She grinned, with her eyes glistening with tears as she hugged me once more. But this time, she pulled away first and we looked back down the ground, still holding each others' hands. It made us feel stronger.

It was so much easier to be with a friend in the dark, than to be alone in the light.

We could see Bumblebee transform. It was magnificent as ever, but Nicole tensed. "His right wing is damaged." Even from a distance as far as this, she noticed.

"I'm sure Ratchet will fix it in no time." I said with a smile.

We also saw the Autobots coming in. The first ones we could see were Sideswipe, Ratchet and Dino.

Where were Sunstreaker, Jazz, the other pair of twins and the sisters, Jolt and the Wreckers?

We felt a presence behind us and Nicole and I turned around at the same time. Our suspicions were right and behind us, stood Mearing with an unknown smile on her face. "I think you should go down there to see them." She said. She may have not liked the Autobots, but she was human, and she could feel as well.

"Thank you." Nicole and I said at the same time and went back into the building. We asked a soldier to show us how to get out of the building. After giving us clear instructions, we got into an elevator and selected ground zero. The elevator took us down and we quickly got out of the building.

"This way." Nicole said, starting to jog around the building, to get to the bridge. I quickly followed suit.

And after what seemed like mere seconds, we could see the bridge and the Autobots. I felt relief and excitement spread through my whole body. Nicole started to sprint as I continued to jog my own way to the bridge, allowing Nicole the head start.

I was soon starting to feel out of breath so I started to walk my way there. I saw Nicole rush to Bee, who quickly summoned his holoform as she leapt into his arms. He slowly spun her around once, before setting her on the ground. But her knees were too weak and they gave out. She clung onto him for dear life as he crouched down. She leaned towards him, arms around his neck, sobbing and crying into his chest.

I was happy and sad at the same time. I knew I should be thrilled to have this damned war done and that everyone got to see each other again. But I was sad because I knew I was never going to see my loved one again. Not in this life, at least.

I heard a deep rumbling sound behind me. To this point, I could even recognize the engine sound and connect it to a certain egotistical Autobot.

I turned around with a smile on my face, only to see Sunstreaker's Lamborghini Aventador alt mode flashing its LED lights at me in greeting. The passenger door opened itself for me, the first time Sunstreaker voluntarily let me in his alt.

I sat in the passenger seat as the door closed for me, locking into place.

"You managed to survive. Ironhide would be proud of you." His voice resounded through the interior.

"You two gave me hope when I needed it most." I placed my hand on the armrest on the door. I patted it. "Thank you. Had it not been for you and Sides, I don't think I would be here right now."

There was silence in the car and Sunstreaker and I both knew that no words need be shared. He was saying 'you're welcome' through the silence in the car. As silent as a V12 Lamborghini can be.

Eventually, he got to the bridge, driving slowly as ever, his presence imposing. He opened my door and silently, through the action, asked me to get out, which I did.

The door closed behind me after I had gone out of the car. He transformed behind me and I made sure to take a couple of steps away from him, the memories of mine and Ironhide's fight about it still fresh in my mind. Even though I trusted the Autobots with all that I was, I was still afraid of getting squished.

"Melissa!" I heard an all too familiar voice call for me. I turned around and saw my uncle. I could feel a grin taking up my face.

I ran up to him, embracing him in a tight hug. "Oh Will…" I hugged him tight. After a moment I remembered. I pulled away. "Wait, Sarah and Belle-"

He chuckled. "They're right behind you."

I turned around, only to see little Annabelle running to him, ignoring all the metallic bodies of dead Cybertronians. As if she even knew what they were.

"Daddy!" She squealed, running into her father's arms as he picked her up and spun her around. He settled her on his hip, even though she wasn't a little baby anymore, I knew she would always be his baby. Her little arms locked around his neck as she pressed a kiss on his cheek. "I missed you, daddy."

I was touched by the scene that unveiled in front of my eyes, and the words full of honesty as she spoke, and I felt tears in my eyes once more.

Unfortunately, I have to end this right here, because I have absolutely no inspiration to write more. It's like I'm brain dead for the eight thousandth time. But I do promise one thing, you'll get the next update in 3 days. In exactly 3 days. So that's a plus.

You know what to do guys, give me your opinion on this chapter while I'm still writing this story.
