Sorry guys for not being able to make longer chapters. It's like I'm totally drained from inspiration. And this story needs a miraculous ending, so I hope I'll find that dreaded inspiration that keeps hiding from me. I just have to keep my spirits up and things will be alright! As I promised, this update came exactly 3 days after the 88th chapter. :)

And now, I present to you the 89th chapter:

The expression on Will's face was priceless. It was a mixture of pure love, content and worry. He hugged her baby girl and kissed her on the forehead. "I missed you too, sweety." He said, rocking her from side to side.

And then Sarah showed up. Will's eyes landed on hers as he slowly stopped moving from side to side. I looked towards Sarah, who was keeping a hand over her mouth, as her face looked like she was going to start crying. I couldn't blame her. Her man came from war. Alive, no less.

"I'll take care of her. Go to Sarah." I said, taking Annabelle from his arms. He nodded and muttered a silent 'thanks' and jogged towards his wife. He seemed to ask her something and she nodded, her tears finally getting the better part of her as she started to cry. He embraced her in a large hug, swaying gently from side to side.

"How're you feeling, Belle?" I said, turning around so that Will and Sarah could have their own moment. "Wanna go to Bee?" I suggested, trying to find a way to get her away from the dead Decepticon bodies.

She nodded and placed her arm around my neck, and soon we were right in front of Bee and Nicole. He had managed to calm Nicole down, but her reddish face still showed signs of crying. But this was happy crying.

I had almost started crying myself.

"You okay?" Nicole asked me, holding Bee's hand. I nodded and turned to Annabelle. I was everything but okay.

"Say Belle, wanna hang out with Nicole and Bee? I'll be back soon." She nodded as I put her down to the ground. She was such an obedient little angel. She went to Bee and took his hand as he started to walk with her towards his alt. Nicole had to, unwillingly, let go of his hand.

"Where are you going?" She asked me.

"I need to go see Ratchet." I answered in return.

She nodded. "Got it. I'll be with Bee if you need me." This time, I nodded and turned around, walking towards Ratchet. He quickly noticed me and brought up his holoform.

"How are you doing?" He asked me.

I crossed my arms. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Tell you what?"

I lowered my voice and came close to him. "That I was pregnant."

"It wasn't mine to tell, I told you."

"You're the doctor, you should have told me anyway."

"It was…" he sighed. "I suppose I should tell you now, now that Ironhide is… offlined." I tried to keep my sadness invisible from the outside.

"First you have to tell me, how did I even get to this point?" My voice started to shake and my eyes filled with tears, with the name of Ironhide being brought up.

"It's because of the holoforms. See, when I perfected them, I made them have spermatozoids, just like a male human would."

"I don't think I want to know how you got them."

"It wasn't one of the most interesting parts of their development, but it should have been done. So when you and he," he lowered his voice. "Interfaced, it made you sparked. Or pregnant, in human terms."

I sighed. So that's how it all happened.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked, not seeing me thrilled or even happy over the matter.

"Wrong with what? Being pregnant?"

"Yes. Do you not want the sparkling?"

"No, no, I do want it. I think." He caught me by surprise. My head started to hurt. "Ratchet, how am I ever going to raise this kid? I mean, I don't even…" I sighed again. He transformed into the ambulance truck and opened the trunk doors as I sat on the inside of the trunk.

He stood with his holoform in front of me and he put a hand on my shoulder, reassuring me. "Everything will be alright. You will have my medical knowledge at your disposal at all times and I will be monitoring you. There is no need to worry."

"And what about Ironhide?" I quickly asked.

"What about him?"

"Can Optimus bring him back?" I asked the obvious. He seemed to look at me with a blank expression on his face.

He sighed and shook his head. "There is no way he can be revived. His body was destroyed and with it, his entire spark."

He was gone with the wind. I slumped and bent my back forward. I had to press my hands on my face to stop my eyes from overflowing. "This is bad."

"It could always be worse."

"How can it be worse than this, Ratchet?"

"We could all be dead." He stated.

He was right. Absolutely right. All of the Autobots could have been dead, had it not been for sacrifices.

Sacrifices.

Something clicked in my mind.

Who gave their life for the sake of mankind? Not all Autobots are here present with us.

"Ratchet, where are the others?" I quickly asked.

He sighed sadly. "Unfortunately, there were too many casualties for our liking."

I started to grow nervous. "Who, Ratchet?"

"There was Que." I remembered how the Decepticon with the Mercedes insignia in the center of his chest shot him. I didn't know who that was.

"Who is the silver Decepticon with a Mercedes insignia on his chest?" I had to ask. I couldn't live in the shadow, I had to know.

He thought for a while. "That would be Soundwave."

"Seriously?"

"Seriously."

I couldn't believe that I actually saw who Soundwave. I thought he was in space and not on Earth. But I guess that was wrong.

Ratchet continued speaking. "We lost Skids and Mudflap, as well. They were up against Soundwave before he managed to capture some of us. He later offlined Que."

"No…" I sadly said, feeling anguish spread through my body. "Ratchet, they were just kids."

"War doesn't choose a time nor a place or age. It happens. And it consumes everyone who lives in the same period as the war occurs." That's one way to put it. "Regardless of age, they fought for the freedom of Autobots and their bodies shall be dealt with honor as they deserve it."

"At least nobody else died." I said.

Ratchet made a strange sound. I spoke too quickly. My guts twisted in anguish. "Arcee and Chromia didn't make it."

That hit me like a brick to a wall. "No… Ratchet, tell me that's not true."

"It's true."

"…How?"

"They were keeping Sentinel from killing Optimus. But he managed to land perfectly aimed shots at their sparkcases."

"And Elita?"

"She was badly injured, but she'll pull through."

"Where is she?"

"She is being transported to a military warehouse near your new accommodation's location." I nodded. I guess some of those building in Chicago weren't really residential. Some were just empty spaces or military warehouses. I could have never guessed.

"Jolt!" I heard a female voice squeal and I turned my head to the source. It was Mikaela who ran up to her guardian as his holoform embraced her hug.

"Hey, Mel!" I heard a male voice call for me. I saw Leo. "You know where the guys at?" he was asking about Skids and Mudflap.

I didn't know if it should have been me the one to tell him. I uneasily looked towards Ratchet. He nodded slightly at me and the he turned towards Leo.

"I'm sorry, Leo." He said as Leo's face slowly started to fall apart. "They're not coming back."

He moved to the front of the ambulance truck, so that nobody could see him, as his face slowly but surely started to pale as his knees gave out. He fell to the ground with a sharp cry. But it wasn't a cry from physical pain. He had lost dear friends. All of us did.

I would mourn for them when I got to the new apartment. I felt so bad for Leo. The pain of a loss is rarely ever bearable. He bent over to touch his forehead to the ground, silently crying on the forsaken ground. I saw Mikaela and Jolt notice him and they walked over to him. Jolt transformed into his Volt alt mode and let the two humans in.

I saw Will and Sarah approaching me. The stopped just short of me. "Where's Belle?" Sarah asked.

"She's with Nicole and Bee. I had to talk to Ratchet and I didn't want her hearing our conversation." They nodded in understanding as Sarah went to retrieve her. Will was left here with me and Ratchet. "So now what, Will?"

He looked around. "We have a lot to do. The Autobots can never again be a secret. But for now, let's get you guys to the new apartment." I nodded as I stood up. "Mel," he got my attention again, taking me by the wrist and gently tugging me to a more private corner of the street. "How are you holding up? I know Ironhide's meant a lot to you and all…"

"I'm doing alright, I guess." I said, which was a complete lie. I felt like I was about to crumble down the ground at any moment. I felt empty, like a huge part of me and my life was ripped from me and I could never take it back into my possession.

"We're here for you. Always. I just wish you could have told me earlier about your relationship with him."

"I kinda didn't know how you would react."

"I think I reacted quite well."

"You fainted."

He chuckled. "Yeah, better than shrieking around the place." He mocked, as he brought up the subject of me screaming on the floor of the base when Ironhide and I had that huge fight about him scaring the shit out of me for stomping near me. I honestly thought he could have killed me.

"Hey now, that was a different story." I said, pointing a finger at him, trying to lift up the melancholic atmosphere. I lowered my finger and gave him a hug. I felt so sad. I wanted to hug Ironhide once again. Talking about him brought so many painful memories back to life, it made me feel deep and intense pain in my heart. I started sobbing in my uncle's arms. "I miss him so much, Will." I chocked, my tears staining his uniform. "I loved him so much…" I hiccupped as I could feel his arms tighten around me and I was so grateful for it. I must have looked like an idiot. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't…" I said, starting to wipe away my tears and pull away, but he kept me close to him.

"Shh, don't be sorry. Never Mel. None of this is your doing." He soothingly said. "It'll all be alright."

We spent a couple of seconds in silent hugging and then I felt another hand on my arm. "Mel, you okay?"

I turned around, pleased to hear the bearer of that voice alive.

I gave him a sad smile. "I'm okay, Sam." I turned to hug him. "How are you? Is everything okay? " And then it hit me. I pulled away from the hug, holding him by the forearms. "Where's Carly? Is she alright?"

"I'm right here, Melissa." She said politely as she was behind me. I honestly couldn't see her.

I hugged her, as well. "Thank goodness, you're alright."

"I think we should get you guys to your new home." Will said. "Ratchet has to get Optimus's arm a little better, but we can get all the other Autobots to get you home." He explained. "Sam, Carly, go with Sideswipe. Leo, Mikaela, Sarah and Belle will go with Jolt. Mel, you and Nicole go with Bumblebee. The rest, we'll explain later."

"And you?" I asked as everyone started to go to their ordered guardians.

"As I said, Mel, later." He said with a smile. I nodded and walked to Bumblebee and Nicole.

Bee, apparently getting the orders from a comlink, transformed into this legendary alt form and opened the doors for me and Nicole.

I spoke up when I was close enough to them. "Let's go home."

As if by God's miracle, we have actually finished writing DOTM. I still can't believe that I am done writing this movie. Only a couple of more things are left for me to write in this story and hopefully, we'll surpass the 100 chapter perimeter and it'll be time for the story to be completed.

I can't believe that in only 11 chapters, I'll be finishing this story. Sounds kinda short to me, honestly.

So while this story is still in the process of being written (aka finished), you might want to review. Everything after the story is finished won't do much help, because when the story is finished, I can't alter the ending. And while I'm in the process of writing, I can do anything.

Review while you can guys. This story isn't gonna last much longer. :)
