2014-January
Olivia smiled as she grabbed her iPad, seeing the incoming call. She tapped the little icon that was ringing and saw Elliot's face pop up on screen. "Hey baby!" She greeted with a grin. She was laying on her stomach, in bed.
"Hey Liv!" Elliot smiled. He had his uniform on. "How's my favorite wife of all time?"
Olivia laughed. "She misses her favorite husband of all time." She ran a hand through her hair. "A lot of things have been happening since you left."
"Really? How juicy?" Elliot asked with a smirk.
"Well," Olivia started with a chuckle. "Alex and John's wedding was very... different. She walked down the isle in a bright red dress. She didn't think she could pull off white." She raised her eyebrows, showing him how she felt about that. "Otherwise, Summer got her license. Dickie is having fun in college. He says there's a lot of cute girls there." She rolled her eyes while Elliot grinned. "I told him if he knocks up a girl without a notice of relationship status, he is going to get it. Uh, Casey told me that William is thinking about signing up for the army."
Elliot's eyes widened. "How does Summer feel about that?"
Olivia sighed. "She's taking it hard. They still haven't gotten back together. He isn't at school anymore, so she doesn't see him as often. Plus, she's been going out on some dates with different guys."
"AND YOU DIDN'T CALL THE COPS!?" Elliot nearly shouted.
"El, I am a cop." Olivia reminded him. "Our daughter is old enough to make smart decisions. When she got pregnant, she at least thought through her possibilities rather than just go get an abortion. She's a smart girl, El. We have to treat her like one. Besides, she kicks them to the curb after the first date." She shook her head. "Something's gotta change."
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but... we all kind of thought William and Summer would end up together. The only reason she's not dating him is because she thinks of the baby every time she looks at him. She can't avoid him forever." Elliot sighed, scratching his chin. "I'll be home in a couple months, for good. Then, we'll never have to be apart again."
Olivia smiled lightly. "That sounds perfect. Until you went back to the marines, this is the longest we've been away from each other."
Elliot nodded. "I know." He looked around the room before looking back at her with a shit eating grin. "Do you know you look incredibly sexy right now?"
Olivia quirked an eyebrow. "Why, Mr. Stabler, are you trying to seduce me over a video call?"
"Why, yes I am, Mrs. Stabler." Elliot smirked. His voice dropped down a whole octave before he spoke again. "If I was there, I'd make you cum over and over again, all night long."
"Really?" Olivia asked, absently rubbing her legs together. His dirty talk was turning her on. "How would you do that?"
"Well, I know how to make you cum just by teasing you." Elliot grinned. "Just by touching you everywhere but your womanhood drives you crazy. My fingers, like you have said, are magic. You build up so quickly." He held up two fingers. "That's just two organisms there, Liv. I don't think I need to continue to tell you how to make you cum for me."
Olivia let out a whine, wanting as much friction as possible to help her calm down. "El, baby, I wish you were here. That way, you'd see how turned on I am." She smirked when his eyes widened the slightest bit. "Suffer!" She knew she had him just like he had her. "I guess I'm left with my own devices." She sighed, faking disappointment. He licked his lips, waiting for her to continue. And, that she did.
April
The Stabler family walked into Fin and Casey's for William's nineteenth birthday. Casey greeted them with a smile as she took their coats. "Hey guys! William, Kenny, and Carly are downstairs playing video games." She smiled before the kids went downstairs. "I see Dickie made it from school. Where's Summer?"
Olivia shook her head. "She didn't want to see him." She breathed before hugging her friend. "I'm sorry."
"No, I get it. I mean, we've never experienced what she's going through. William got really luck with timing." Casey nodded.
"What do you mean?" Olivia asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
Casey stood closer to her friend. "If William got her pregnant after he turned eighteen, his name couldn't be put on the birth certificate. Otherwise, somebody could charge him with statutory. Since you're a cop and Fin is a cop, we're kind of forced to follow the law even if it's our family."
Olivia's eyes widened. "I didn't even think about that." She looked up when she saw William come upstairs. "Hey Will, happy birthday! I heard you are leaving for the army soon."
"Yeah, I leave in June." William nodded. "Where's Summer?"
"Uh," Olivia started and paused. She looked at Casey before looking back at William. "She couldn't make it." She saw the disappointment wash over his face.
"Mom, I think I'm going to go for a drive." William nodded, swallowing hard. "I'll be back later."
Casey nodded, understandingly. "Of course, just come back soon. It is your birthday after all." She patted his back before he headed out the front door. "What are we going to do about those two?"
Olivia looked out to the driveway, seeing William get in his car. "I don't know."
Summer sat curled up on the living room couch. She had a bag of popcorn in her lap as she watched a mushy romantic movie. She had on a pair of William's pajama pants that had Jets written all over them and one of Elliot's old black sweat shirts that she found in her laundry. Her bangs were brushed back from her face from her running her hand through it so many times. When her phone buzzed, she looked at the screen. William's name popped up signaling an incoming call. She hit ignore and replied to one of Carmela's text messages. Another incoming call from William interrupted her movie. She hit the pause button and picked up the phone. "Billy, what do you want?"
"Why aren't you there?" William blurted right out, standing in the grass, tears in his eyes.
"Billy, I can't-" Summer started.
William cut her off. "You can't what? Look at me? Talk to me? Love me? What is it, Murmur? I will change! I just need you back. I can't think straight." He had his free hand in the pocket of his leather jacket.
Summer teared up. "When I look at you, I think of our baby! I don't care if I was only pregnant for a couple weeks. I loved that baby so much already!"
"And, you don't think I didn't?!" William asked. "That baby would've been perfect, Murmur. He or she would have had the best parents in the world. I would've loved their mommy so much that I would've went to the ends of the world just to get her a taco if she wanted one. It hurt for me to look at you and know I caused that much pain to you and myself."
"It wasn't completely your fault." Summer reminded him, sniffling as she wiped her face with her sleeve. "I didn't exactly say no."
William chuckled softly. "No, you didn't." He heard her chuckle lightly on the other end and felt his heart starting to go back in place. "Can... can you please just come outside?"
Summer gasped and went to her front door, looking out the windows next to it. "You're here?"
"It wasn't the same without you." William shrugged looking at her.
"I'll be right out." Summer breathed before hanging up. She went back to the living room and pulled on her boots before going outside. The chilly air seeped through the fabric of the sweat shirt. She tucked her sleeves under her arms to reserve some heat. Slowly, she went down the front steps and met him on the lawn. There were patches of snow, but there were areas where the grass was pretty green. The neighbor dog started barking at them. "It's your birthday. You should be at your party." She said, looking him over. "Happy birthday, by the way."
"Like I said, I can't be there when I know that you're here." William said gently.
Summer looked up into his eyes, seeing the same pain she probably had in hers. "How did you know I would be here?"
William smiled lightly. "I just know you." He stared at her a moment. She didn't have any make up on and was dressed for a day of TV watching, but he thought she was still breath taking. "Summer, I know it's painful. But, I love you." He cupped her face in his hands, sighing in relief when she didn't pull away. She didn't really respond. She just kept looking at him. "I've tried to move on. I swear I have, but every time it comes back to you. I don't care what you say about it. I know you love me too. I can see it right now. That's why you are pushing me away."
"That's not true." Summer breathed. He felt it tickle the skin on his face. Her hands slid around his torso, under his jacket. "I'm pulling you to me." After she said it, she pulled him closer to her. When his forehead dropped to hers, she closed her eyes. "I love you so much, Billy. It's almost painful."
"That's how we know it's love." William whispered, pressing his nose to hers. "I love you so, so much."
"Then, what are you waiting for?" Summer asked, opening her eyes. She saw the confusion in his. "Are you going to kiss me or just tell me you love me?"
William smiled. "I'll kiss you." He nodded before capturing her lips with his own. Suddenly, his heart zipped, from its dark place in his stomach, to its rightful place in his chest. Summer balled her hands into fists, clenching the material of his t-shirt. His hands went down to her thighs and lifted her, pulling her closer when her legs wrapped around his waist.
When air became necessary, they pulled apart panting. Summer laid soft kisses on his head when he rested his forehead on her shoulder. "We should probably get you back to your party."
William paused and lifted his head. "Judging by what you're wearing, I bet you are doing something a lot more fun." They both smiled before Summer took his hand and led him into the house.
Later, Casey was freaking out. "Liv, William isn't picking up his phone. He always picks up his phone. What if he got in an accident?"
"Case, I'm sure he's fine." Olivia tried to soothe her friend.
"Yeah, I'm sure he just needed to clear his head." Alex added in. She looked down at her phone when it beeped. She looked at her phone and smiled. "I know where he is."
"Did he text you?" Casey asked.
Alex shook her head and was about to speak when Dickie came in. "Mom, you are never going to believe this."
Olivia looked at her oldest son. "What baby?"
Dickie held up his phone. "William and Summer updated their relationship status. They are back together." He grinned.
