Please review! You guys are so great! Happy Thanksgiving!
2015-April
Elliot smiled up the stairs as he watched his daughter walk down with her small baby bump. After two weeks of debating, Summer decided she wanted to know the sex of her baby. He agreed to take her since Olivia was working and the rest of the family was home. "Daddy, why are you staring at me?" Summer asked as she got to the bottom of the stairs. She leaned against the railing and looked at him.
He just smiled and kissed her nose. "You have that pregnancy glow on you. It fits you well."
Summer grinned and patted her father's should before kissing his cheek. "Thanks, now, let's go. I want to find out what I am having." She tucked her purse under her arm, heading towards the front door to grab her jacket and go.
"Hey Dad, Carmela and I are going to the movies. You trust Kendle and Zack with Oliver and Eli, right?" Dickie asked with Carmela behind him.
"Yeah, Kendle is sixteen and Zack is twelve. They will be fine with the boys." Elliot nodded before the two passed him and headed towards Summer.
Dickie hugged his little sister with a smile. "Good luck! Just to let you know, I wouldn't mind having another girl in this family if you can make it happen."
Summer laughed. "I'll try my best, Dickie." She closed her eyes when he kissed her head. She turned to find Carmela coming in for a hug. She grinned and wrapped her arms around her best friend. "We are already getting another girl. You are marrying who I consider a sister."
"I think he just wants a niece to spoil." Carmela smiled. She pulled back and looked Summer in the eyes. "I'm still god mother, right?"
"Who else would be?" Summer asked with a smile.
"I'm just checking. Aunt Carmela is very possessive of titles." Carmela grinned, leaning down to talk to Summer's belly.
Dickie rolled his eyes. "I know, Summer knows, heck, even my dad knows that. Carmela, my sister will be here when we get back. I love her half way to death, but I really want to see this movie.
"Mood killer." Carmela mumbled under her breath to Summer. Summer and her giggled before they hugged again. "Good luck. Tell me everything. Bye Murmur!" She called over her shoulder as she headed out the door with Dickie.
Elliot walked over to his daughter and shook his head. "It's going to take a lot more time getting used to Carmela's teenage talk than it was for William."
Summer laughed. "She talks fast like aunt Casey. My son or daughter is going to have to learn to keep up."
"You had to learn to keep up with Alex." Elliot smirked before grabbing the keys and holding the door open for his daughter.
"Yeah, you guys tell me the weirdest stories all the time." Summer chuckled. "Like the time she pierced my ears."
"Okay, that was not weird, that was just wrong." Elliot pointed out as they headed towards the car. "We come back from your uncle Scott's wedding and we are greeted with your pierced ears. It was not a pleasant conversation for any of us."
Summer laughed as they both got into the car. Elliot started the engine before she spoke. "So, you were the first to get married out of all your brothers and sisters?"
Elliot nodded. "Yeah, your mother and I got married back in '94. Your uncle Scott got married in '98 a couple months after your grandpa died."
"Grandpa Joe? I thought he didn't die until I was one or two." Summer said furrowing her eyebrows together.
"No, Dickie was two and you were about three or four months. When Scott got married, you were five or six months." Elliot said shaking his head. He turned onto a new road that drove straight in the city. "I swear, you were the cutest baby I'd ever seen."
Summer smiled as she looked at her father. "You are only saying that because you are my father."
"I had six kids, baby. You were the cutest." Elliot reminded her, making her laugh.
Later, Elliot was in the waiting room while Summer was in the examination room. Summer wanted the sex of the baby to be a surprise for everybody except her and William. He looked up when he heard two familiar voices that he'd recognize anywhere. Before him was Carmela and Dickie, talking with Dr. Lucas. "Dickie?"
Dickie turned and saw his father. "Uh... hi Dad." He looked at Carmela and then Dr. Lucas. "Okay, I really need to think through where I take you for doctor's appointments when we are trying to hide something." He said to Carmela.
"What are you two doing here?" Elliot asked, standing up and going over to them.
"I think I am going to go check on Summer." Dr. Lucas said excusing himself. He walked through the door he just came through.
Carmela looked up at Dickie before looking back at Elliot. "Uh, we found out I am eight weeks pregnant."
Elliot's mind went blank, making his whole body freeze in place. "Dad? Dad, you okay?" Dickie asked, snapping her fingers in front of his face.
"I don't even know what to say." Elliot breathed. "Congrats! Uh, wow. I don't know whether to lecture you on waiting until marriage or if I should call your mother and tell her."
"How about no lecture and we tell Mom?" Dickie suggested, a small smile forming on his face.
Elliot sighed. "We'll talk to you later. I am here for your sister right now." He patted his son's back as they walked by him. He stood there for a few minutes more, trying to comprehend everything, before Summer walked out with Dr. Lucas with a smile. He smiled seeing the light in her eyes he usually saw in Olivia's. "How'd it go?"
"Good, the baby is perfectly healthy. She is taking pregnancy really well." Dr. Lucas smiled. "I can't believe how grown up she is. The first time I saw her was on a sonogram screen."
"Yeah, she grew up on me. Married, happy, with a baby on the way." Elliot smiled, wrapping his arm around Summer and kissing her head. "Thanks for everything."
"No problem. I always love seeing you guys." Dr. Lucas smiled before waving. "I'll see you next time." He turned and headed back towards his office.
Elliot looked down at his daughter and smiled. "So, are you happy?"
Summer grinned up at him. "You have no idea."
That night, Elliot was sitting in bed, reading a book that Olivia recommend him to read. She was in the bathroom, washing her face. She came out a moment later and crawled into bed next to him. "Big day, huh?"
"No kidding." Elliot said with a small smile. He closed his book, putting it on his nightstand, before taking off his reading glasses. "Our daughter is pregnant and married and our son is expecting a child and is going to get married around the time our first grandchild is born."
"Yeah, it's kind of hectic." Olivia agreed, intertwining their fingers together. "Do you realize this is probably what life was like for your parents when I moved in and we started dating?"
"Those were some great and painful months." Elliot breathed.
Olivia cuddled up to his chest, snuggling into his warmth. "Yeah, they were." She kissed his shoulder. After a moment of silence, she looked up at him. "I love you, El."
Elliot looked into her brown eyes and smiled slightly. "I love you too, Liv." He leaned down and kissed her and raised his eyebrows when she cupped his face in her hands. When her lips left his, he spoke. "Really?" He asked, gesturing to her movements to straddle him.
"Why not?" Olivia breathed into his ear before kissing his jaw.
"Well, I am not going to argue with that." Elliot said before flipping her onto her back faster than she could comprehend. She couldn't help but laugh at his eagerness. He started kissing down her neck, pulling at the fabric of her pajamas.
Olivia moaned when he hands started teasing her nipples. "El, baby, that's not fair."
"You weren't fair last time." He smirked against her skin. He leaned up, looking into her eyes. "Besides, when have I ever played fair?" He asked as he ran his hand over her, through the fabric of her pajamas and underwear. She moaned, letting her eyes slip shut. "I'll take that as a never." His lips descended onto hers in that moment, continuing their antics through the night.
